  • The tilting index table has attached to CNC machining center with 3axes, it can be improvement of its performance and its machining efficiency. The tilting index table is a key unit in order to manufacture some non-rotational and 3-dimensional parts, using the conventional machining center. In this study, structural analysis is carried out by FEM simulation using the commercial software ANSYS Workbench 11 to develop tilting index table using direct drive motor. The shape of the tilting index table obtained from the optimization was analyzed and compared with the initial model. Also, the initial model was modified based on the optimization model and the result was verified to have the acceptable improvement.

틸팅열차 ATP 차상장치의 시운전시험 분석 (Analysis of Trial Test for ATP On-board Equipment of Tilting Train)

  • 본 논문에서는 틸팅열차의 안전성 확보 및 운행효율 향상을 위해 "한국형 틸팅열차 신뢰성 평가 및 운용기술개발" 연구과제의 한 분야로 추진된 ATP 차상장치의 시운전시험에 대한 내용 및 결과를 제시하고 있다. 기존선의 속도 향상과 KTX 비수혜지역의 여객 서비스 향상을 위해 틸팅열차를 개발하였으며 개발된 틸팅열차의 신뢰성 평가를 위해 기존에 사용되고 있는 ATS 장치에 의한 12만 km 주행 시운전 시험을 진행하였다. KTX가 운행되지 않는 지역인 중앙선 및 충북선을 비롯한 6개 기존 노선을 200km/h 이상으로 고속화하기로 하였으며, 이에 따라 열차제어시스템은 기존의 ATS 장치에서 ATP 장치로 개량하여야 한다. 따라서 틸팅열차에도 ATP 차상장치를 설치하여 운행 적합성을 확인하여야 하기 때문에 경부선 및 호남선 ATP 구축사업에 사용된 것과 동일한 ATP 차상장치를 틸팅열차에 설치하여 시운전 시험을 수행하였으며 설치된 ATP 차상장치의 기능 및 성능이 틸팅열차의 운행에 적합함을 확인하였다.

공작기계 틸팅 인덱스 테이블의 특성 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic Analysis of a Tilting Index Table for Machine Tools)

  • In the recent field of 5-axis machine tools, it is necessary to improve machining ability. The tilting index table is a key unit in order to manufacture some non-rotational and 3-dimensional parts by using conventional machining centers. In this study, the structural analysis of a tilting index table is carried out and the displacement and distribution of stress in the tilting index table is analysed to design the table safely. The modal analysis is performed in order to confirm the frequency response about the vibration having a large effect on the machine tools. The dynamic analysis is performed in order to confirm the rigidity, and the structural stability has been verified.

한국형 틸팅열차의 신뢰성기반 유지보수 체계 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of Reliability Centered Maintenance System for Korean Tilting Train)

  • 본 논문에서는 한국형 틸팅열차의 유지보수 활동을 위해 신뢰성기반유지보수체계를 제안하였다. 열차시스템을 3단계의 교체 부품 단위로 분류하고, 각 단위에 대해 기능블록도를 작성한 후 고장모드 영향 분석을 실시하였다. 각 단위의 심각도를 결정한 후 유지보수 정책을 제안하였으며, 틸팅열차를 위한 유지보수 기준을 정하고, 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 제안된 신뢰성기반유지보수체계는 기존 유지보수 체계와도 호환성을 갖고 있으며, 안전성 향상과 유지보수 활동 효율화에 기여할 수 있다.In this paper, a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) system is proposed to perform maintenance action for Korean Tilting Train. The train system was divided into line replaceable units up to three steps. Functional block diagrams were drawn and failure mode effect analysis for the units was carried out. The criticality of each unit was determined and a maintenance policy was proposed. Maintenance and repair criteria for the tilting train were determined and an example was presented. The proposed RCM system is compatible with the previous maintenance system and contributes to improvement of safety and efficiency of maintenance action.

  • In multi-purpose lathe, the design of tilting turret slide system has an important and critical role to enhance accuracy of the machining process. Tilting turret unit is traveled by 3-axis slide systems. There is a need to design this part very carefully. In this research, 3-axis sliding system with tilting turret is modeled by considering the element dividing, material properties, and boundary conditions using MSC/PATRAN. Mode and frequency analysis of each structures such as saddle, careg, and turret are simulated by MSC/NASTRAN, for the purpose of developing the effective design. The results of mode analysis and frequency analysis are visualized with PATRAN, and the mothod which can solve the resornance problem by eigenvalues and eigenvectors of each axe is developed as well.

좌우 틸팅이 가능한 굴삭기 버켓용 로터리 액츄에이터 설계 및 시험 (Design and Performance Test of a Rotary Actuator for Side Tilting Excavator Bucket)

  • Generally, a working excavator has only one directional bucket tilting angle, which is up-forward. However, side direction rotation of the bucket would allow variety of working output. We designed a hydraulic rotary actuator comprising a double rod hydraulic cylinder with a rack-pinion gear set for use in excavator bucket with side tilting mechanism, thus converting the linear to angular motion. The proposed side tilting rotary actuator was designed with parts suitable for medium size of heavy duty excavator. These mechanical parts were inexpensive to purchase and the manufacturing cost was reasonable. The proposed mechanism is potentially useful for excavator with variety of working output.

  • Laser distance measuring systems are used in many fields with high precision. However, when measuring the reflector such as the mirror and the black color, a laser distance measuring system does not guarantee the measurement accuracy. In order to measure the shape of the cargo, this study proposes the radar distance measurement system. The radar distance measuring system is composed of a distance measuring unit with a 24 GHz antenna module, a signal processing and control board and the 1-axis tilting unit. And, this study developed a monitoring program to monitor the measured data. In order to evaluate performance of the developed system, the distance measurement tests are carried out. The distance error was about 6-15 cm. However, considering the size of the cargo, the precision is not a problem. And, cargo shape was measured by using the distance information measured by the 1-axis tilting unit. It could get a 2 dimension shape profile for the cargo stacked in a yard.

한국형 틸팅열차 ATP장치 예비위험원분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PHA of ATP Equipment for the Korean Tilting Train)

  • In this paper, we derive the hazard which is a criterion of safety assurance by PHA for the ATP equipped in Korea Tilting Train. The ATP onboard equipment in Korea Tilting Train was introduced as ETCS Level l(which is ETCS specification). Also, the ATP trackside equipment was introduced as a ETCS SRS(System Requirement Specification) 2.2.2 and it has a target for commercial operation in 2009 late. In IEC 62278(EN50126), it recommend of PHA to derive a hazard of target system in concept establishment step and estimate if it can control as a tolerable level and then derive safety case to control the hazard by lifecycle. Therefore, we indicate the hazard using criterion of safety assurance by PHA using FRS (Functional Requirement Specification) 5.0. which is a upper criterion than SRS. The hazard of ATP onboard equipment derived in Korea Tilting Train will be able to use as ATP functional hazards of unified onboard equipment in G7 which is a multiple unit and preliminary hazards of ATP onboard equipment in NEL drived by Korail.

철도차량 소비전력량 평가에 따른 틸팅기술 효과분석 (A Study on the Effect Analysis of the Tilting Technology According to the Evaluation of Electric Power Consumption Energy of Rolling Stock)

  • 본 논문에서는 철도차량에 틸팅 기술 도입시 효과로 연구되고 있는 속도향상에 따른 운전시간 단축과 더불어 전력 소비량 감소로 에너지가 절감되는 것을 정량적으로 분석하여, 국내 철도차량에도 틸팅 기술 도입 필요성을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 동일 노선을 한국형 틸팅 열차인 한빛 200과 8200호대 전기기관차가 견인하는 여객열차로 운행시의 소비전력을 동일 조건으로 환산 후 비교 분석하여 틸팅 기술 접목이 에너지 저감에 미치는 효과에 대하여 분석하였다. 에너지 절약은 세계적인 추세로서, 이의 해결을 위한 대책들을 여러 분야에서 끊임없이 연구하고 있다. 또한 기존선 속도 향상을 위한 선로 개량 및 신호체계 변경 등이 이루어 지고 있는 시점에서, 틸팅 기술을 통해 기존 인프라를 최대한 활용하여 열차 속도를 향상시킬 수 있다면 운전시간 단축을 통한 여객 수요 증대와 에너지 절감으로 경영개선에 크게 기여 할 수 있으리라 판단된다.
