  • Tidal power station is using the difference of the ebb and flow and the single action tidal power is dependent on tide amplitude and basin volume. Therefore the inflow of basin in rainy season has also effect on the daily power. Also if operating units are changed then starting head too changed. Therefore the number of units are very important for the optimization model. According to our study the primary point when we make a determination of optimization is starting head and governorl control mode. On this study optimization model for tidal power station is considered all of this conditions.

  • 최근 친 환경 발전에 관한 관심이 높아지면서 태양광, 풍력, 조력, 조류 발전에 대한 수요가 점차 증가되고 있다. 이러한 친 환경 발전 방식 중 조석운동에 의한 해수의 흐름을 이용하는 조류발전은 지형적 특성에 의해 강한 조류가 발생하는 지역에서만 사용할 수 있는 특수한 발전 방식이다. 울돌목 해역은 조류 발전이 가능한 매우 강한 조류가 형성되는 지역으로 다른 지역의 해역과 구분되는 특별한 환경을 제공한다. 하지만, 해양에서의 인간의 활동은 수중소음을 야기하여 해양환경에 큰 영향을 미친다. 최근에는 환경영향평가의 중요성이 대두되면서 발전소 가동 시의 소음 특성 분석 및 전파양상 예측에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 조류발전소의 수중소음 특성을 측정하고 울돌목 해역으로의 전파양상을 모델링 하였다.

새만금 간척사업에 따른 갯벌 패류의 군집구조 변화 (Change in Community Structure of Shellfish in the Reclaimed Saemangeum Area)

  • Species composition and distribution patterns of shellfish were investigated in Eoeun and Geojeon tidal flat located in the Saemangeum area on the west coast of Korea from May to October 2000. Nineteen species of shellfish were collected in Geojeon tidal flat. The samples in number of individuals included Umbonium thomasi $(90.0\%)$ and Mactra veneriformis $(5.0\%).$ In Eoeun tidal flat, ten species of shellfish were collected and the dominant species in number of individuals were Potamocorbula amurensis $(55.0\%)$ and U. thomasi $(18.6\%).$ These results were compared with previous studies conducted before the beginning of reclamation in Saemangeum. Compared with the results from 1988, a change In species composition was observed. Laternula flexuosa and Nuttallia olivacea appeared, while Mactra chinensis and Coelomactra antiquata disappeared in the deposition area in Geojeon tidal flat. In the erosion area of Eoeun tidal flat, M. veneriformis and Meretrix lusoria appeared, while Cyclina sinensis disappeared. Based on a cluster analysis, the shellfish community in Eoeun tidal flat was classified into three station groups based on sediment types. Geojeon tidal flat was also classified into three station groups. The distribution of shellfish in the Saemangeum area was closely related to the sediment types.

  • Many pumping station of Maehang-ri of Hwasung city are established for irrigation water supply, and brine permeation phenomenon is happening thereby. Proposed optimum pumping fluid amount conclusion model that use tidal efficiency and Ghyben-Hertzberg theory so that brine does not permeate in pumping station hereupon and applied this in study area.

조류 조화상수의 월변동성 완화 방법 고찰 (Investigating the Adjustment Methods of Monthly Variability in Tidal Current Harmonic Constants)

  • This is a preliminary study of the feasibility of obtaining reliable tidal current harmonic constants, using one month of current observations, to verify the accuracy of a tidal model. An inference method is commonly used to separate out the tidal harmonic constituents when the available data spans less than a synodic period. In contrast to tidal constituents, studies of the separation of tidal-current harmonics are rare, basically due to a dearth of the long-term observation data needed for such experiments. We conducted concurrent and monthly harmonic analyses for tidal current velocities and heights, using 2 years (2006 and 2007) of current and sea-level records obtained from the Tidal Current Signal Station located in the narrow waterway in front of Incheon Lock, Korea. Firstly, the l-year harmonic analyses showed that, with the exception of $M_2$ and $S_2$ semidiurnal constituents, the major constituents were different for the tidal currents and heights. $K_1$, for instance, was found to be the 4th major tidal constituent but not an important tidal current constituent. Secondly, we examined monthly variation in the amplitudes and phase-lags of the $S_2$ and $K_1$ current-velocity and tide constituents over a 23-month period. The resultant patterns of variation in the amplitudes and phase-lags of the $S_2$ tidal currents and tides were similar, exhibiting a sine curve form with a 6-month period. Similarly, variation in the $K_1$ tidal constant and tidal current-velocity phase lags showed a sine curve pattern with a 6-month period. However, that of the $K_1$ tidal current-velocity amplitude showed a somewhat irregular sine curve pattern. Lastly, we investigated and tested the inference methods available for separating the $K_2$ and $S_2$ current-velocity constituents via monthly harmonic analysis. We compared the effects of reduction in monthly variability in tidal harmonic constants of the $S_2$ current-velocity constituent using three different inference methods and that of Schureman (1976). Specifically, to separate out the two constituents ($S_2$ and $K_2$), we used three different inference parameter (i.e. amplitude ratio and phase-lag diggerence) values derived from the 1-year harmonic analyses of current-velocities and tidal heights at (near) the short-term observation station and from tidal potential (TP), together with Schureman's (1976) inference (SI). Results from these four different methods reveal that TP and SI are satisfactorily applicable where results of long-term harmonic analysis are not available. We also discussed how to further reduce the monthly variability in $S_2$ tidal current-velocity constants.

낙동강 하구의 조석변화에 따른 Heterotrophic Activity의 계절적 변화와 염분의 영향 (Seasonal Variation of Heterotrophic Activity in the Estuary of Naktong River over Half Tidal Cycle and Salinity Effect)

  • Heterotrophic activity, total bacteria and salinity were determined seasonally in the estuary of Naktong River over half tidal cycle. Heterotrophic activity was determined by the uptake of [U- $^{14}$ C]glucose. Heterotrophic activity fluctuated with the tides and was decreased as salinity increased. Teh great activity occurred near low ebb tide at all seasons except summer. The main environmental factor affecting hetreotrophic activity was the salinity rather than water temperature in the estuary of Naktong River. In order to estimate the effect of salt, salt was added to estuarine water. Vmax for glucose of salt-added water was 17% and 77% of original estuarine water at station 1 and 2 respectively and slight increase was observed at station 3. Respiration rate and Kt+Sn for glucose of salt-added sample increased at all 3 stations. The increase of the Kt value implies the reduced affinity of bacterial population for glucose. The effects of salinity on the heterotrophic activity were more extensive in the upper region of estuary than at the mouth.

섬진강 하류부에서의 수위-유량관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stage-Discharge Relationship in the Lower Reach of the Sumjin River)

  • 감조하천의 수위는 조석파와 상류의 유출량과의 상호작용에 의해 변화하며, 특히 만조상태에서는 홍수위가 증가하여 재해의 원인이 된다. 이러한 감조하천에서 수위는 유량만의 함수라기 보다는 유량과 조석파의 결합에 의한 함수이다. 본 논문은 조위와 하천 유량사이의 관게를 정식화하여 감조하천에서의 수위를 예측할 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 제시된 이론의 검증은 섬진강의 감조하천내에 있는 송정 및 하동수위표에 적용하였다. 적용 결과, 송정수위표에서는 수위에 대한 조위의 상관관계가 0.016으로 조위의 영향이 작으나, 하동 수위표에서는 0.558로 조위의 영향이 크게 나타났다.

금강 하류 홍수의 부정류 해석 (Unsteady Flow Analysis on Flood Characteristics in KEUM River Downstream)

  • 금강 하류는 감조 구간이며 여러개의 지류가 수지상을 형성하고 있고, 하천 단면의 지형이 불규칙한 것이 특징이다. 여기에 홍수가 발생할 경우 종래의 단순한 하도 홍수 추적법이나, 단일유로로 가정하는 지법 등으로는 만족할 만한 분석 결과를 얻을 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수지상의 하천망으로 모형화하고 양형식의 차분법에 의한 부정류 해석법을 적용하여 1978년과 1987년 홍수를 대상으로 분석한 결과, 공주지점에서 5,000$m^3$/sec 내외가 하류할 경우 강경지점의 홍수에는 조석의 영향이 없었으며, 입포 지점의 협착부가 조석의 영향을 차단시키는 역할을 하고 있었다.

Analysis of Operating Characteristics in Tidal Power Generation According to Tide Level

  • Tidal power generation plays a critical role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It uses a tidal force generated by gravitational force between the moon, the earth, and the sun. The change of seawater height generates the tide-generating force, and the magnitude of the change is the tide level. The tide level change has the same period as the tide-generating force twice a day, every 29.5 days, every year, and every 18.6 years. Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station is Korea's first tidal power plant that began commercial power generation in August 2011 and has been accumulating a large volume of data on electricity production, power generation sales, sluice displacement, and tide levels. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the impact of the inefficiency factors affecting production and the tidal level change on tidal power generation and their characteristics using Sihwa Lake Tidal Power's operational performance data. Throughout this paper we show that tidal power generating operation is accurately predicting the trends of magnitude of tidal force to be periodical for each day. determining the drop to initiate the water turbine generator factoring the constraints on the operation of Sihwa Lake, and reflecting the water discharge through the floodgate and water turbine during the standby mode in the power generation plan to be in the optimal condition until the initiation of the next power generation can maximize power generation.

거금수로에 시설된 사각형 인공어초 주변의 조류에 의한 세굴 퇴적 변화 (Scouring and accumulation by tidal currents around cubic artificial reefs installed at Geogeom waterway)

  • 인공어초 시설해역 1개 정점에서 15일 연속조류를 관측하였다. 정점의 최강유속은 약 82.4 cm/sec로 나타났으며, 평균유속은 최강유속보다 대략 5.9 ~ 19.0 cm/sec 정도 작은 값을 보였다. 조시별 평균유속은 12.8 ~ 28.0 cm/sec로 나타났다. 어초군 주변 4방위에 대해 시료를 채취하여 분석한 결과, 주조류방향에 따라서 서로 다른 저질로 구성되어 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과로 볼 때, 인공어초 전면 및 후면에서 퇴적 및 세굴이 지속적으로 발생하기 때문에 주조류 방향에 따라서 서로 상이한 저질이 분포하는 것으로 판단된다.
