탄소전극 기반 페로브스카이트 태양전지 적용을 위한 조밀 이산화티타늄 분말 전자수송층 제작 비교 연구 (Comparison Study of Compact Titanium Oxide (c-TiO2) Powder Electron Transport Layer Fabrication for Carbon Electrode-based Perovskite Solar Cells)

  • This study compares the characteristics of a compact TiO2 (c-TiO2) powdery film, which is used as the electron transport layer (ETL) of perovskite solar cells, based on the manufacturing method. Additionally, its efficiency is measured by applying it to a carbon electrode solar cell. Spin-coating and spray methods are compared, and spray-based c-TiO2 exhibits superior optical properties. Furthermore, surface analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) exhibits the excellent surface properties of spray-based TiO2. The photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) is 14.31% when applied to planar perovskite solar cells based on metal electrodes. Finally, carbon nanotube (CNT) film electrode-based solar cells exhibits a 76% PCE compared with that of metal electrode-based solar cells, providing the possibility of commercialization.

TiO2계 나노 복합촉매 특성에 미치는 생성상의 영향 (The Effects of Second Phases on the Photocatalytic Characteristics of the TiO2 base Nano Composite)

  • In the present study, $TiO_2$ imbedded composite powders have been successfully prepared from the (Cu. Zn)/$TiO_2$ composite salt solution. The composite (Cu, Zn)/$TiO_2$ powders were formed by drying the solution at 200~$600^{\circ}C$ in the hydrogen atmosphere. Photocatalytic characteristics was evaluated by detecting the decomposition ratio of aniline blue with UV-visible spectrophotometer(Shimazu Co., UV-1601). Phase analysis of (Cu, Zn)/$TiO_2$ composite powders was carried out by XRD and DSC, and powder size was measured with TEM. The mean particle size of composite powders was about 100mm. As the reduction temperature increases, a few zinc sulfide and oxide phases was formed and copper oxide phase was reduced. The decomposition ratio of aniline blue was about 80% under the UV irradiation by the TiO$_2$ phase in the composite (Cu, Zn)/$TiO_2$ powders and similar decomposition ratio of 80% was obtained at the UV lightless condition by virtue of Cu and Zn compounds.

Oxidation Resistance and Electrical Conductivity of $Ti_3SiC_2$ with Thin Oxide Layer

  • [ $Ti_3SiC_2$ ] was coated with $Al_2O_3$, MgO and $SiO_2$ respectively by sol-gel method and cured at 900 and $1200^{\circ}C$. The coated oxides did not react with $Ti_3SiC_2$ at $900^{\circ}C$ but reacted with it to form $TiC_x$ at $1200^{\circ}C$. The specimen coated with $SiO_2$ at $900^{\circ}C$ formed a dense protecting layer and showed the best oxidation resistance at $800^{\circ}C$ in air. However, the dense protecting layers did not form in $Al_2O_3$ and MgO coated specimens cured even at $900^{\circ}C$. MgO coated specimen showed the worst improvement in the oxidation resistance because the reactivity of MgO with $Ti_3SiC_2$ was highest. On the other hand, the electrical conductivities were measured in MgO and $Al_2O_3$ coated specimens to have TiCx but could not be measured in the $SiO_2$ coated ones because of the nonconductive dense protected layers.

Preparation and Characterization of $Ag/TiO_{2-x}N_x$ Nanoparticles

  • The $Ag/TiO_{2-x}N_x$ nanoparticles were synthesized by photochemical deposition in a $TiO_{2-X}N_X$ suspension system. The prepared products were characterized by means of XRD, Uv-vis and photoluminescence spectra (PL). Its photocatalytic activity was investigated by the decomposition of methylene blue (MB) solution under illumination of visible and ultraviolet light, respectively. Compared to $TiO_{2-x}N_x$, the photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared $Ag/TiO_{2-x}N_x$ is obviously enhanced due to the decreasing recombination of a photoexcitated electron-hole pairs. The Mechanism in which photocatalytic activity is enhanced has been discussed in detail.

The Effect of TiO2 Addition on Low-temperature Sintering Behaviors in a SnO2-CoO-CuO System

  • Pure SnO2 has proven very difficult to densify. This poor densification can be useful for the fabrication of SnO2 with a porous microstructure, which is used in electronic devices such as gas sensors. Most electronic devices based on SnO2 have a porous microstructure, with a porosity of > 40%. In pure SnO2, a high sintering temperature of approximately 1300℃ is required to obtain > 40% porosity. In an attempt to reduce the required sintering temperature, the present study investigated the low-temperature sinterability of a current system. With the addition of TiO2, the compositions of the samples were Sn1-xTixO2-CoO(0.3wt%)-CuO(2wt%) in the range of x ≤ 0.04. Compared to the samples without added TiO2, densification was shown to be improved when the samples were sintered at 950℃. The dominant mass transport mechanism appears to be grain-boundary diffusion during heat treatment at 950℃.

  • Ultrafine TiC-5%Co powders were synthesized by spray drying of aqueous solution of TiO$(OH)_2$ slurry and cobalt nitrate, followed by calcination and carbothermal reaction. The oxide powders with carbon powder was reduced and carburized at $900^{\circ}C{\sim}1250^{\circ}C$ under hydrogen atmosphere. During reduction, CO gas was mainly evolved by reducing reaction of oxides. Ultrafine TiC-5%Co powders were easily formed by carbothermal reaction at $1250^{\circ}C$ due to using ultrafine powders as raw materials. The ultrafine WC-TiC-Co alloy prepared by sintering of mixed powder of ultrafine WC-13%Co powder and ultrafine TiC-5%Co powder has higher sintered density and mechanical properties than WC-TiC-Co alloy prepared by commercial WC, TiC and Co powders.

  • [ $SrTiO_3$ ] is usually added as shifters in order to move the $T_C$ of $BaTiO_3$ to lower temperatures because it is well established that the $T_C$ of $BaTiO_3$ decreases linearly with a solid solution of $Sr^{+2}$ in place of $Ba^{+2}$. It is not fully understood yet, however, how $SrTiO_3$ influences on the peak value of the dielectric constant $(\varepsilon_{max})$ at the $T_C$ of $BaTiO_3$. This research reports the effect of $SrTiO_3$ addition on εmax at the $T_C$ of $BaTiO_3$ ceramics. Based on the chemical composition and the grain size dependence of the dielectric property of $BaTiO_3$ ceramics, functionally graded $(Ba,Sr)TiO_3$ composites were designed and fabricated. Multi-layered $(Ba,Sr)TiO_3$ composites with a compositional gradient of $SrTiO_3$ exhibited a low temperature coefficient and high dielectric constant in a wide temperature range.

삼중수소 증식 재료 개발을 위한 Li4SiO4 분말합성

  • 핵융합의 고체형 증식(Helium Cooled Solid Breeder : HCSB) 블랑켓(Blanket Module)은 삼중수소 증식을 위해서 Li4SiO4, Li2TiO3, Li2O 및 Li2ZrO3 등의 페블이 고려되고 있다. 이러한 페블을 제조하기 위해서는 먼저 각각의 분말 제조가 선행되어야 한다. 한국의 Test Blanket Module(TBM)은 Li4SiO4 페블을 개발을 개발하여 사용할 예정이고 옵션으로 Li2TiO3 페블을 개발하는 것으로 되어 있다. Li4SiO4 페블을 개발하기 위해서 먼저 분말합성이 필수적이다. Li4SiO4 분말을 합성에 하기 위해서는 Lithium 금속염과 실리카 졸을 용매 및 폴리머 캐리어로서의 두 가지 기능을 하는 에틸렌글리콜에 첨가한 후 가열하여 완전히 용해시킨 후 혼합 용액을 건조시켜 겔형의 전구체를 제조한다. 이를 하소한 후 결정화시켜 Silicate 분말을 얻는데 이때의 건조, 하소 및 결정화 온도의 조건에 따른 분말의 크기 및 특성이 각각 다르다. 즉, 바인더 물질의 비율과 합성온도에 따라 특성이 약간씩 다른 분말을 얻을 수 있었다. 이렇게 얻어진 Silicate 분말은 지르코니아 볼을 이용하여 약 24 시간 동안 볼 밀링 과정을 통해 입도가 작은 미세한 Silicate 분말로 만들었다. 합성된 분말은 여러 가지 시험 및 분석을 통해서 검증되었으며, 불순물 등은 관찰되지 않았다.

  • Dispersion stabilities and photocatalytic activities of rutile $TiO_{2}$ powders with unique nano-structure synthesized by homogeneous precipitation process at low temperature(HPPLT) have been investigated in the acrylic resin containing fluorostyrene in the range of 0~0.16 mole. Isoelectric point of $TiO_{2}$ in the acrylic resin placed in the neutral region whereas that of $TiO_{2}$ in the water placed in the acidic region, indicating that zeta potential and agglomeration of $TiO_{2}$ powder is strongly dependent on the pH and the type of solvent. To prepare an adhesion, an acrylic resin containing fluorostyrene was synthesized by a radical polymerization. The adhesion of coating layer was increased with increasing fluorostyrene's contents without changing the dispersion stabilities and degrading photocatalytic properties.

One-pot 습식화학공정을 이용한 TiO2 중공 구조체 제조 및 광촉매 활성 연구 (Fabrication and Photocatalytic Activity of TiO2 Hollow Structures using One-pot Wet Chemical Process)

  • A facile one-pot wet chemical process to prepare pure anatase TiO2 hollow structures using ammonium hexafluorotitanate as a precursor is developed. By defining the formic acid ratio, we fabricate TiO2 hollow structures containing fluorine on the surface. The TiO2 hollow sphere is composed of an anatase phase containing fluorine by various analytical techniques. A possible formation mechanism for the obtained hollow samples by self-transformation and Ostwald ripening is proposed. The TiO2 hollow structures containing fluorine exhibits 1.2 - 2.7 times higher performance than their counterparts in photocatalytic activity. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of the TiO2 hollow structures is attributed to the combined effects of high crystallinity, specific surface area (62 ㎡g-1), and the advantage of surface fluorine ions (at 8%) having strong electron-withdrawing ability of the surface ≡ Ti-F groups reduces the recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes.
