Study on rotor and bushing material of Gyro-pump (자이로 펌프의 로타 및 붓싱 재료에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 자이로 펌프의 내구성 및 내마모성을 향상시키고자 로타와 붓싱 재질 개선방안을 조사하였다. 질화강과 SKD11 합금 부품에 스퍼터링 방법으로 TiN Coating과 가스질화법으로 표면처리를 행하였으며, 기지조직의 개선을 위하여 SKD11 합금의 열처리를 행하였다. 실험결과 TiN Coating은 펌프 작동중 뜯김현상이 제거되지 않았고, 가스질화시 우수한 표면경도와 충분한 경화층으로 뜯김현상이 제거되었다. SKD11 합금을 열처리한 결과 높은 경도를 얻었다.

  • Vanadium은 비중이 6.09로써 비교적 무거운 금속에 속하나 Al을 30wt% 이내로 첨가하여 $Ni_3Al$ 및 TiAl와 유사한 비강도가 크며 내열성을 지니는 V-Al합금을 얻을 가능성을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 V-Al합금에 Si, Y, Ti, B등 제3원소를 첨가함에 따르는 미세 응고조직의 거동과 기계적 성질을 조사하였다. 알곤 분위기에서 제조된 V-30%Al합금은 상온에서 고용체와 취성이 큰 금속간 화합물인 $VAl_3$등 2상으로 존재하므로 용체화 처리 과정이 요구되며 24시간 이상 장시간 열처리에 의하여 단일 고용상을 이룰 수 있었다. 규소의 첨가는 금속간 화합물의 형성과 아울러 합금의 경도를 크게 증가시키는 경향을 나타내며 B을 0.3%정도가지 첨가할 때 경도가 낮아지는 현상이 관찰되었다. �c칭된 V-30%Al 합금은 입계면을 따라 decohesive rupture 현상을 나타내며 입자간 파괴 현상도 일부 관찰되었다.

  • The main emphasis of this study was to find an new hydrogen absorbing alloy such as Mg-Ti-Ni-H systems, and to investigate their hydrogenation properties. ($Mg_9Ti_x$)-10, 20wt%Ni-Hx systems were prepared by hydrogen induced mechanical alloying(HIMA) using Mg and Ni chips and sponge Ti. The particles synthesized were characterized by X-ray diffraction, and their morphologies were observed by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM) with energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). In addition, the crystal structures were analyzed in terms of their bright-/ dark field images and the selected area diffraction pattern(SADP) of transmission electron microscopy(TEM).

  • The change of hydrogen storage characteristics by substituting zirconium for a portion of titanium in Ti-Cr-V alloys has been studied. The zirconium substitution decreased the plateau pressure and hysteresis of the PC isotherm. However, it decreased the hydrogen storage capacity and increased slopping in PC isotherm by forming $Cr_2Zr$ phase. By modifying the composition ratio of titanium to chromium, thereby suppressing the formation of $Cr_2Zr$ phase, we got an alloy having very high hydrogen storage capacity. The heat treatment of the alloys improved the flatness of plateau very much without a decrease in the maximum and the effective hydrogen storage capacities.

  • Ti-8Ta-3Nb is made for biomaterial. The experimental speciments are as-cast Ti-8Ta-3Nb and Ti-8Ta-3Nb swaged. The solution treatment in the range 760-96$0^{\circ}C$have been carried out. The microstructural investigations have been carried out on the specimens after the solution treatment. and the hardness have been measured. And the specific heat and the dilatometer of Ti-8Ta-3Nb swaged have been measured. From the result, the $\beta$ transus of the alloy was determined to be 880-86$0^{\circ}C$.

Fabrication of TiAl alloy by centrifugal casting and its microstructure (원심주조법에 의한 TiAl 합금의 제조 및 미세구조 분석)

  • In this study, TiAl alloy was fabricated by a centrifugal casting method for turbo charge of automotive. Optimum conditions for defectless morphology using various ceramic mold were investigated. The crystal structure, microstructure, and chemical composition of the TiAl prepared by centrifugal casting were studied by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), optical microscopy (OM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), microvickers hardness analyzer (HV). Two kinds of dendrite structures were observed with 4-fold and 6-fold symmetries. The FE-SEM, EDS and HV examinations of the as-cast TiAl showed that the thickness of the oxide layer (${\alpha}$-case) was typically less than $50{\mu}m$.
