치과 핸드피스용 고속 PMSM의 정현파 구동을 위한 인버터 직류 링크전압 제어기법 (DC link voltage control method in the sinusoidal current drive system for dental hand-piece PMSM)

  • This paper presents a DC link voltage control method to reduce the ripple current and the switching loss in the sinusoidal current drive system for the wide-speed range PMSM. The DC link voltage of the three phase inverter in the sinusoidal current drive system is designed by the back-EMF voltage at maximum speed of the PMSM. In general, the drive systems have used the constant DC link voltage without reference to the motor speed. The current ripple causes hysteresis loss and makes noise. In addition, the switching loss on the inverter increases in proportion to the rise in the DC link voltage. In this paper, we propose the variable DC link voltage control method to reduce the current ripple in the PMSM drive system. We show reduction effect of the current repple and the switching loss through simulation results.

  • Generally, the accuracy of motion control systems is strongly influenced by both the mechanical characteristics and servo characteristics of feed drive systems. In the fed drive systems of machine tools that consist of mechanical parts and electrical parts, a torsional vibration is often generated because of its elastic elements in torque transmission. Especially, a torsional vibration caused by the elasticity of mechanical elements might deteriorate the quick movement of system and lead to shorten the life time of the mechanical transmission elements. So it is necessary to analyze the electromechanical system mathematically to optimize the dynamic characteristics of the feed drive system. In this paper, based on the simplifies feed drive system model, radius errors due to position gain mismatch and servo response characteristic have been developed and an optimal criterion for tuning the gain of speed controller is discussed. The proportional and integral parameter gain of the feed drive controller are optimal design variables for the gain tuning of PI speed controller. Through the optimization problem formulation, both proportional and integral parameter are optimally tuned so as to compensate the radius errors by using the genetic algorithm. As a result, higher performance on circular profile tests has been achieved than the one with standard parameters.

  • 벨트구동 시스템은 저렴한 비용, 고속 그리고 긴 이송행정 등의 이유로 screw 구동 시스템을 이용하는 것보다 더 바람직하다. 그렇지만 벨트구동 시스템은 벨트의 유연성, 마찰, 진동, 뒤틀림 등의 다른 비선형 특성으로 인하여 근본적으로 제어하기가 어려워진다. 본 연구에서 벨트구동 시스템에 적용할 제어기의 서보제어 알고리즘과 설계방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서, 벨트구동 시스템에 대한 개선된 제어시스템의 최적 설계를 실현할 수 있는 LQ 서보제어기를 제안하였다. 제어시스템에 대한 이러한 수학적 모델 기법은 상태 공간 형식으로부터 구할 수 있다. 끝으로, 제안한 서보제어기의 효율성을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 검증하였다.

단색 분광기 회절격자의 정밀 구동 기구에 관한 연구 (A study on precision drive mechanism for monochromator grating)

  • The extent of absorption and transmitance of the light that passes through some material is changed as the wavelength of the light varies, and which makdes it possible to estimate characteristics of the material. Spectrometer is a measurement system that can analyze the characteristics of material by using this principle. Its application field is so wide that it can be applied to all the arease that are concerned with analyzing materials : biological, environmental, medical and chemical area etc. This study is focused on developing precision sine drive mechanism for grating monochromator which is the most important part of the spectrometers. It is designed to be simple in struicture. It is achieved to derive basic principles to manipu- late precision sine drive mechanism : it should be aligned with a condition that .beta. , the angle between grat- ing normal and grating rod should be the same as .gamma. , the one between moving nut's normal and sliding guide. And also, it's found that the mis-alignments of the grating and mirrors are not the main factor in guaranteeing the linearity of sine drive mechanism. Performance evaluation is achieved by a standard sample by comparing experimental results with standard values. It results in wavelength accuracy of .+-. 0.5nm and resolution of 1nm. Conclusively, it can be verified that the sine drive mechanism developed in this study is not only simple in structure, but also stable and excellent in performanes.

전압 변동분 보상회로를 이용한 새로운 LED 구동드라이브 설계 (Design of New LED Operation Drive Using Compensating Circuit for Transformed Voltage)

  • Currently high power Light Emitting Diode (LED) is in the limelight due to its characteristics of long durability, low maintenance costs, and high efficiency. Furthermore, it does not emit pollutants or poisonous gases and is a light source not using mercury, so it holds a high status in eco-friendly terms as well. In this paper, we studied a two-stage LED power drive circuit that can compensate only voltage regulation through LED output current, in order to improve efficiency of LED drive with constant current control in accordance with changes in temperature. The proposed LED drive has an advantage of reducing LED drive's voltage losses by controlling only voltage change of input power, compared with an existing circuit which controls input voltage. The suggested non-insulation compensating circuit for voltage change was verified to have improved efficiency relative to a LED drive using existing DC/DC converter.

  • The widely used control theory based design of PI family controllers fails to perform satisfactorily under-parameter variation, nonlinear or load disturbance. In high performance applications, it is useful to automatically extract the complex relation that represent the drive behaviour. The use of loaming through example algorithms can be a powerful tool for automatic modelling variable speed drives. They can automatically extract a functional relationship representative of the drive behavior. These methods present some advantages over the classical ones since they do not rely on the precise knowledge of mathematical models and parameters. The paper proposes high performance speed and current control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) drive using adaptive loaming mechanism-fuzzy neural network (ALM-FNN) and fuzzy logic control(FLC) controller. The proposed controller is developed to ensure accurate speed and current control of SynRM drive under system disturbances and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. Also, this paper proposes the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the ALM-FNN and ANN controller.

PC 인터페이스를 이용한 LCD 구동회로의 PLD 설계 (PLD Design of LCD Drive Circuit using PC Interface)

  • 본 논문에서는 PC 인터페이스를 이용하여 Gray Mode Graphic STN LCD를 구동하는 구동회로를 제안한다. 제안된 구동회로는 사용자가 PC상에서 작업한 이미지 데이터를 PC 인터페이스를 이용하여 LCD로 전송할 수가 있다. 따라서 기존의 방식과는 달리 마이크로프로세서를 사용하지 않기 때문에 사용자가 손쉽게 LCD를 구동할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 제안한 LCD 구동회로 부분은 schematic capture, AHDL, VHDL 등으로 설계하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 ALTERA 사의 EPM7192SQC160-15 PLD를 사용하여 구현하였다. PC 인터페이스 부분은 MS-Visual C++ 6.0으로 프로그래밍 하였다. 한편, 제안한 구동회로를 테스트 보드를 구성한 후에 하드웨어 동작 검증을 수행하여 그 효용성을 입증하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 구동회로를 현재 시판중인 마이크로프로세서를 사용하는 타 업체의 구동회로와 비교한 결과는 구동회로의 작동 편이성, 제작시 소요되는 비용 등에서 우수함을 나타내었다.

LabVIEW의 모델기반 제어기 설계와 Compact RIO를 이용한 직류전동기 구동 시스템 (DC Motor Drive System Using Model Based Cotroller Design of LabVIEW and Compact RIO)

  • 본 논문에서는 모델기반의 제어기 설계 프로그램인 National Instruments(NI)사의 System Identification Toolkit과 Control Design Toolkit, Simulation module을 사용하여 기존의 제어기 설계방식보다 쉽고 편리하게 제어기를 설계할 수 있었다. 직류전동기의 속도제어시스템을 구현하기 위해서 하드웨어는 NI사에서 제공하는 실시간 제어기(Real-Time Controller:RT) CompactRIO를 사용하였다. 먼저는, 테스트 입력 신호를 전동기에 인가하고 얻은 출력신호를 통해 제어대상 플랜트인 직류전동기 구동시스템의 전달함수를 구할 수 있었다. 다음으로는 원하는 제어응답성능을 갖는 극점, 영점 제어기를 설계한 후, 모의실험을 통해 속도제어응답을 확인할 수 있었고, 실시간 프로그램으로 다운로드하여 실제 전동기 구동시스템의 실험을 통해서 설계된 속도제어기의 응답 결과를 모의실험과 비교하여 검증하였다.

Analysis on Muscle Activities in the Upper Body of Caregivers according to Drive-Assisting Speeds of a Shower Carrier

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of drive-assisting system in a shower carrier on the upper body muscle activities of caregivers through drivability tests. Background: In care facilities, one of the major ADL (Activities of Daily Living) factors is bathing/showering. Recently, bath/shower-assisting equipment is actively being introduced in care facilities to reduce caregivers' muscle burden. In particular, it is desirable to utilize a shower carrier equipped with drive-assisting system to effectively care for the elderly. However, there were few systematic studies on the relationship between muscle activities and drive-assisting speeds. Method: For the drivability tests to study the effects on the muscle activities according to the drive-assisting speeds(corresponding drive-voltages: 0.0V, 2.0V, 2.1V, 2.3V), 6 females in their 40s($43{\pm}4yrs$, $157{\pm}5cm$, and $54.5{\pm}1.5kg$) were selected. To measure muscle activities of caregivers through drivability tests, 7 muscles in the upper body(TM/Trapezius Muscle, DM/Deltoid Muscle, BBM/Biceps Brachii Muscle, TBM/Triceps Brachii Muscle, ECRLM/Extensor Carpi Radialis Longus Muscle, FCUM/Flexor Carpi Ulnaris Muscle, and ESM/Erector Spinae Muscle) were selected. Results: In the TM, muscle activities were decreased as 21% compared to 0.0V, when drive-voltage 2.0V was applied, as 57% by 2.1V, and 62% by 2.3V(p<0.05), whereas 40%, 56%, and 69% of muscles activities were decreased respectively from the DM(p<0.05). Also, from the UL(BBM+TBM+ECRLM+FCUM), muscle activities were decreased by 17% with 2.0V as against 0.0V, by 47% with 2.1V, and 52% with 2.3V, whereas decreases in muscle activities from the ESM were found by 20%, 34%, and 42% respectively by 2.0V, 2.1V, and 2.3V(p<0.05). Conclusion: The muscle activities were decreased in the order of the DM, TM, ESM, and UL. As muscle activities were remarkably reduced as drive voltage were increased, it was expected to reduce the upper body muscle burden on the caregivers when using shower carriers equipped with driving-assist system. Applications: The results from this study can be applied for the development of a shower carrier including other equipment to possibly reduce the muscle burden of the caregivers.

선형화기와 구동 증폭기를 이용한 위성통신용 EHF 대역 진행파관 증폭기 개발 방안 (A Developing Technique of EHF TWTA Using Linearizer and Drive Amplifier for Satellite Communications)

  • 본 논문에서는 위성통신용 EHF(Extremely High Frequency) 대역 진행파관 증폭기(TWTA: Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier)의 개발 방안을 제안한다. RF(Radio Frequency) 특성 및 이득 향상을 위해 증폭기 설계 및 구현시 선형화기(linearizer)와 구동 증폭기(drive amplifier)를 활용하였다. 80 W급 EHF 대역 진행파관 증폭기의 구현 및 시험을 통하여 제안한 방안이 설계 규격을 만족시키는 결과를 얻었다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안한 방안은 매우 유용하며, 차후 EHF 대역 유사 장비 개발시 적용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
