A threshold decryption scheme is a multi-party public key cryptosystem that allows any sufficiently large subset of participants to decrypt a ciphertext, but disallows the decryption otherwise. When performing a threshold decryption, a third party is often involved to guarantee fairness among the participants. To maintain the security of the protocol as high as possible, it is desirable to lower the level of trust and the amount of information given to the third party. In this paper, we present a threshold decryption scheme which allows the anonymity of the participants as well as the fairness by employing a semi-trusted third party (STTP) which follows the protocol properly with the exception that it keeps a record of all its intermediate computations. Our solution preserves the security and fairness of the previous scheme and reveals no information about the identities of the participants and the plaintext even though an attacker is allowed to access the storage of the STTP.

A wireless communication system is required to be implemented with the low power circuits because it uses a battery having a limited energy. Therefore, the current mode circuit has been studied because it consumes constant power regardless of the frequency change. However, the clock-feedthrough problem is happened by leak of stored energy in memory operation. In this paper, we suggest the current memory circuit to minimize the clock-feedthrough problem and introduce a technique for ultra low power operation by inducing dynamic voltage scaling. The current memory circuit was designed with BSIM3 model of $0.35{\mu}m$ process and was operated in the near-threshold region. From the simulation result, the clock-feedthrough could be minimized when designing the memory MOS Width of $2{\mu}m$, the switch MOS Width of $0.3{\mu}m$ and dummy MOS Width of $13{\mu}m$ in 1MHz switching operation. The power consumption was calculated with $3.7{\mu}W$ at the supply voltage of 1.2 V, near-threshold voltage.
This research confirms a non-linear relationship between R&D investment and performance of small and medium-sized enterprises and measures the adequate level as threshold value. Although previous studies did not consider the time lag and estimated indirectly the level using the R&D investment squared term, this study assumes 2 years time lag and uses the threshold estimation model to measure directly. We find that there is the S-curve relationship between the profit rate as R&D output and R&D intensity and the ratio of researchers to employees as R&D input. Also, we estimate the adequate levels of R&D investment, 6.4% for R&D intensity and 13% for the ratio of researchers to employees. This relationship and measurement of the level can offer basic facts and implications about R&D policy and strategy.

In this work, an analytical models for the threshold voltage and flat band voltage have been suggested and proved using 3-dimensional device simulator. The method for device design guideline and its example in nanowire junctionless transistor and example of device design of was also presented. One can find that the suggested model for threshold voltage and flat band voltage agrees with 3-dimension simulation results. The threshold voltage and flat band voltage are decreased with the increase of nanowire radius, gate oxide thickness, and channel impurity doping concentration. When the work function of gate material and the ratio of ON and OFF current is given, the device design guide line for nanowire junctionless transistor has been proposed. It is known that the device with high impurity channel concentration can be fabricated with th decreased of nanowire radius and gate oxide thickness.

In this paper, we study a call admission control algorithm for supporting multicast service under the BcN environment where broadcasting, communication and Internet are converging to be one. It is necessary to control service requests with a certain criteria in order to guarantee QoS because the system capacity is limited. As a possible solution, we divide one multicast service into 3 classes and set up a threshold per each class to control service request. Especially, for the purpose of system benefit, we define system pay-off rate 'GAIN' with the term 'Reward' and 'Penalty' according to admit and reject service request. And we confine the range of threshold which makes GAIN to be maximized. For the performance analysis, we model the system as M/M/m/m queueing system, investigate GAIN under various conditions and show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Our purpose is to ascertain, if possible, whether atomic bomb survivors with cataracts and epilation were more radiosensitive than those survivors with cataracts but without epilation. A major ophthalmologic survey was conducted in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1963-64. At that time, 2125 individuals were examined. Among these individuals, estimated eye organ doses, based on the DS86 dosimetry system, and information on the occurrence of epilation within the first 60 days following the bombings are available on 1742. In the analysis of these data we have assumed that each individual represents a sample of one from a binomial distribution, and that the occurrence of cataracts and epilation are independent biological phenomena. We got following results. The threshold for cataract induction and its 95% confidence limits have been estimated from data on the occurrence of cataract and epilation. Among the 1742 study subjects, 40 had both cataracts and severe epilation. The estimated threshold based on these cases is 0.98 sievert(Sv), with 95% lower and upper confidence bounds of 0.72, and 1.32 Sv, respectively, and is highly statistically significant. Among the 27 cases of cataracts where severe epilation was not reported, the estimated threshold is 1.74 Sv with 95% lower and upper confidence bounds of 1.21 Sv, and "not estimable". The difference between these two estimates is not statistically significant although the effect of dose is highly significant in both instances. The potential importance of biases in the DS86 dose estimates is discussed. The difference between the threshold estimated from cataract cases with epilation and that from cases without epilation is not statistically significant at the 5% or 10% level, and thus affords no support for the notion of increased radiosensitivity.
Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is an effective approach to training models using a small amount of labeled data and a larger amount of unlabeled data. However, many papers in the field use a fixed threshold when applying pseudo-labels without considering the feature-wise differences among images of different classes. In this paper, we propose a SSL method for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image classification that applies different thresholds for each class instead of using a single fixed threshold for all classes. We propose a threshold learning module into the model, considering the differences in feature distributions among classes, to dynamically learn thresholds for each class. We compare the application of a SSL SAR image classification method using different thresholds and examined the advantages of employing class-specific thresholds.

The mount of antecedent 5-day rainfall (P5) is usually used to determine the antecedent soil moisture condition for estimating effective rainfall using the NRCS-CN method. In order to re-establish the threshold of P5 considering basin characteristics, this study investigated the sensitivity of the threshold of P5 to effective rainfall by comparing the corresponding observed direct runoff. The overall results indicate that the direct runoff estimated using the re-establihed threshold of P5 has smaller mean error (RMSE of 27.3 mm) than those using the conventional threshold (RMSE of 35.2 mm). In addition, after evaluating the effectiveness of threshold of P5 using the improvement index, the threshold re-established in this study improved the ability to estimate the direct runoff by 30% on average. This study also suggested to employ regression models using topographic indices to re-establish the threshold for ungauged basins. When using the re-established threshold from the regression model, the RMSE decreased ranging from 0.4 mm to 15.1 mm and the efficiency index of Nash and Sutcliffe increased up to 0.33.

We propose a SPICE model of drain-induced barrier lowering (DIBL) for a junctionless cylindrical surrounding gate (JLCSG) MOSFETs. To this end, the potential distribution in the channel is obtained via the Poisson equation, and the threshold voltage model is presented for the JLCSG MOSFET. In a JLCSG nano-structured MOSFET, a channel radius affects the carrier transfer as well as the channel length and oxide thickness; therefore, DIBL should be expressed as a function of channel length, channel radius, and oxide thickness. Consequently, it can be seen that DIBLs are proportional to the power of -3 for the channel length, 2 for the channel radius, 1 for the thickness of the oxide film, and the constant of proportionality is 18.5 when the SPICE parameter, the static feedback coefficient ${\eta}$, is between 0.2 and 1.0. In particular, as the channel radius and the oxide film thickness increase, the value of ${\eta}$ remains nearly constant.
A number of sensing techniques have been implemented for detecting defects in civil infrastructures instead of onsite human inspections in structural health monitoring. However, the issue of faults in sensors has not received much attention. This issue may lead to incorrect interpretation of data and false alarms. To overcome these challenges, this article presents a deep learning-based method with a new architecture of Stateful Long Short Term Memory Neural Networks (S-LSTM NN) for detecting sensor fault without going into details of the fault features. As LSTMs are capable of learning data features automatically, and the proposed method works without an accurate mathematical model. The detection of four types of sensor faults are studied in this paper. Non-stationary acceleration responses of a three-span continuous bridge when under operational conditions are studied. A deep network model is applied to the measured bridge data with estimation to detect the sensor fault. Another set of sensor output data is used to supervise the network parameters and backpropagation algorithm to fine tune the parameters to establish a deep self-coding network model. The response residuals between the true value and the predicted value of the deep S-LSTM network was statistically analyzed to determine the fault threshold of sensor. Experimental study with a cable-stayed bridge further indicated that the proposed method is robust in the detection of the sensor fault.
