누적방지 기법을 적용한 3상 4선식 능동전력필터 시스템의 직류전압 제어 (Anti-Windup Scheme to Control DC Voltage of Three-Phase Four-Wire Active Power Filter)

  • 본 논문은 3상 4선식 전력시스템내의 고조파전류 및 중성선에 흐르는 영상 전류를 저감하기 위한 3상 4선식 능동전력필터의 직류전압 제어를 위한 누적방지기법 적용에 관한 연구를 수행한다. 비선형 스위칭 부하에 의해 발생한 고조파 전류를 효율적으로 저감하고 전력시스템의 전체 성능을 개선하기 위해서, 전력시스템의 운전 특성에 따라 3상 4선식 능동전력필터의 내부 직류전압을 제어할 필요가 있다. 직류전압 제어를 위해서 일반적으로 PI 제어기를 사용하나, 적분기에 의한 누적 오차는 직류전압 제어기의 동특성에 영향을 준다. 따라서 본 논문은 누적방지 기법의 사용을 제안하며, 3상 4선식 능동전력필터의 직류 전압 제어기의 동특성이 개선됨을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 증명한다.

  • This paper presents a new compensation method of series active power filter. The proposed method applied in the three-phase three-wire system can generate harmonic compensation voltage in front of the harmonic source. Futhermore it is also expended to three-phase four-wire system considering zero-sequence voltage. The compensation principle is described in detail. Experimental result show the validity of the proposed method in the three-phase three-wire system

  • The three-phase four-wire shunt active power filter (APF) is an effective method to solve the harmonic problem in three-phase four-wire power systems. In addition, it has two possible topologies, a four-leg inverter and a three-leg inverter with a split-capacitor. There are some studies investigating DC-link voltage control in three-phase four-wire APFs. However, when compared to the four-leg inverter topology, maintaining the balance between the DC-link upper and lower capacitor voltages becomes a unique problem in the three-leg inverter with a split-capacitor topology, and previous studies seldom pay attention to this fact. In this paper, the influence of the balance between the two DC-link voltages on the compensation performance, and the influence of the voltage balance controller on the compensation performance, are analyzed. To achieve the balance between the two DC-link capacitor voltages, and to avoid the adverse effect the voltage balance controller has on the APF compensation performance, a new DC-link voltage balance control strategy for the three-phase four-wire split-capacitor APF is proposed. Representative simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the analysis and the proposed DC-link voltage balance control strategy.

Series Active Power Filters to Compensate Harmonics and Reactive Power with the Direct Compensating Voltage Extraction Method in Three-Phase Four-Wire Systems

  • This paper presents the analysis of series active power filter for reactive power compensation, load balancing, harmonic elimination, and neutral current eradication in three-phase four-wire power systems. Generally, the three-phase four-wire system is widely employed in distributing electric energy to several office building and manufacturing plants. In such systems, the third harmonic and its 3rd harmonics are termed as triple and zero sequence components that do not cancel each other in the system neutral. Consequently, the triple harmonics add together creating a primary source of excessive neutral current. Regarding this concern, this paper presents a new control algorithm for a series hybrid active system, whereas the control approach it adopts directly influence its compensation characteristics. Hence, the advantage of this control algorithm is the direct extraction of compensation voltage reference without phase transformations and multiplying harmonic current value by gain and the required rating of the series active filter is much smaller than that of a conventional shunt active power filter. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm, experiments have been carried out.

정상분 순시전압 검출기법을 이용한 3상 3선 능동전력필터 시스템 (Three-Phase Three-Wire Active Power Filter with a Detection Method of Instantaneous Positive Sequence Voltage)

  • 본 연구에서는 왜형되고 불평형인 전원의 정상분 순시전압 검출기법(Detection Method of Instantaneous Positive Sequence Voltage : PSD)에 의한 3상 3선 능동전력필터 시스템을 제작하였다. 불평형 및 왜형된 전원전압은 PSD에 의하여 정상분 순시전압을 실시간으로 검출한 후 순시전력이론의 상변환 행렬을 연산하고 있으며, 따라서 왜형되고 불평형된 전원조건에 순시전력이론을 적용하기 위하여 종전의 순시전력이론의 수학적인 구조를 변경할 필요가 없다. 본 연구에서 구현된 방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위해, 왜형된 B상 전압을 20% 증가시킨 전원과 불평형 비선형 부하 조건하에서 정상상태 및 과도상태의 실험을 수행하였으며, PSD가 없는 방법에 비하여 구현된 방법의 유용성을 입증할 수 있었다.

  • 최근 상업용 빌딩, 주거용 빌딩 및 공장등의 저전압 3상 4선식 배전계통에서 PC, UPS, 정류기기, 조명장치 및 사무용기기등 비선형 부하의 사용이 증가하고 있으며, 이로 인한 과도한 중성선 전류는 중성선의 고장, 변압기의 과열 및 중성선과 접지사이의 전압강하등 심각한 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3상 4선식 배전계통에서 중성선 전류 제거를 위한 새로운 저감된 용량의 능동전력필터를 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 제어가 간단하고 불평형에 기인하는 기본파 전류만이 인버터 스위치로 흐를 수 있기 때문에 인버터의 VA 정격이 작아진다. 제안한 시스템은 실험에 의하여 그 타당성을 입증한다.

  • 대부분의 빌딩과 공장에서는 3상 4선식 저압 배전 시스템으로 전력을 공급받고 있다. 이 방식은 중성선에 전류가 흐르게 하는데 오늘날 전력 변환 기술의 개발과 컴퓨터의 보급으로 심각한 중성 전류가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문은 병렬형 3상 4선 능동 필터를 사용하여 계통의 전원 전압이 불평형이고 불평형 부하 및 비선형 부하가 접속된 상태에서 전원쪽으로 흐르는 중성 전류를 제거시키고, 전원전류의 파형을 정현파로 개선하는데 목적이 있으며, 부하 조건을 변화시키면서 시뮬레이션을 실행하여 능동 필터의 우수한 성능을 입증하였다.

  • This paper proposes a new neutral current reduction method using PQR instantaneous power theory on the active power filter, unbalanced nonlinear load condition in three-phase four-wire systems. For reduction of neutral line current, the single phase active power filter is used and its performance is same with the three-phase four-wire active power filter. For fully-digital implementation, ramp comparison PWM method was adopted. Simulation results verify good performance of the proposed current control strategy on the shunt APFs.

  • This paper presents a control algorithm for a 3-phase 4-wire series active Power filter. This control algorithm compensates harmonics, input power factor and neutral line currents which are generated by balanced or unbalanced nonlinear loads. The advantage of this control algorithm is direct extraction of compensation voltage references. Therefore, the calculation time is shortened and the performance of the series active power filter is improved. The compensation principle of the proposed control algorithm is presented in detail. A 3KVA laboratory prototype of the three-phase four-wire series active power filter was built and experiments have been carried out. Experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

Sliding Mode Control with Fixed Switching Frequency for Four-wire Shunt Active Filter

  • The present paper proposes a sliding mode control with fixed switching frequency for three-phase three-leg voltage source inverter based four-wire shunt active power filter. The aim is to improve phase current waveform, neutral current mitigation, and reactive power compensation in electric power distribution system. The performed sliding mode for active filter current control is formulated using elementary differential geometry. The discrete control vector is deduced from the sliding surface accessibility using the Lyapunov stability. The problem of the switching frequency is addressed by considering hysteresis comparators for the switched signals generation. Through this method, a variable hysteresis band has been established as a function of the sliding mode equivalent control and a predefined switching frequency in order to keep this band constant. The proposed control has been verified with computer simulation which showed satisfactory results.
