선인장 형태의 한국형 인공심장 내 3차원 혈류의 수치적 해석 (Numerical analysis of blood flow in the cactus type KTAH)

  • Three-dimensional blood flow in the sac of the KTAH(Korean total artificial heart) is simulated using fluid-structure interaction model. The aim of this study is to delineate the three-dimensional unsteady-blood flow in the sac of KTAH. Incompressible viscous flow is assumed for blood using the assumption of Newtonian fluid. The numerical method employed in this study is the finite element software called ADINA. Fluid-structure interaction model between blood and sac is utilized to represent the deformation of the sac by the rigid moving actuator. Three-dimensional geometry of cactus type KTAH is chosen for numerical model with prescribed pressure boundary condition on the sac surface. Blood flow is generated by the motion of moving actuator and strongly interacts with the solid material surrounding blood. High shear stress is observed mainly near the inlet and outlet of the sac.

  • The present study numerically investigates three-dimensional laminar flow past a rotating circular cylinder placed in a uniform stream. For the purpose of a careful analysis of the modification of flow by the effect of the rotation on the flow, numerical simulations are performed at a various range of rotational coefficients ($0{\leq}{\alpha}{\leq}2.5$) at one Reynolds number of 300. As ${\alpha}$ increases, flow becomes stabilized and finally a steady state beyond the critical rotational coefficient. The 3D (three dimensional) wake mode of the stationary cylinder defined at this Reynolds number has been disorganized according to ${\alpha}$, which were observed by the visualization of 3D vortical structures. The variation of the Strouhal number is very weak when the wake pattern is changed according to the rotational coefficient. As ${\alpha}$ increases, the lift increases, whereas the drag decreases.

  • 본 연구에서는 준 3차원 유동에서 문제가 되는 B-B 유동만을 대상으로 하고 여기에 두개의 유동함수를 이용해서 수치계산한다. 이 방법의 정당성을 입증하기 위해 계산결과를 이론해와 비교하고 또 실제유동과의 관계를 보기 위해 실험결과와도 비교하여 또 실제유동과의 관계를 보기 위해 실험결과와도 비교하여 Wu에 의한 정상 비점성 유동의 준3차원적 수치계산방법의 유효성을 제시한다.

  • A Navier-stokes based finite volume method has been developed to analyze an incompressible, steady state, turbulent wall-jet flow. The standard k-e model, the RNG ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model and their nonlinear counterparts are adopted as a closure relationship. Comparison with the experimental data shows that a linear ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model performs satisfatorily for two-dimensional wall-jet flows. However, as the flow becomes three dimensional, the linear model fails to predict the spanwise jet growth accurately and the nonlinear model needs to be adopted to capture three-dimensional flow characteristics.

  • 엇회전식 축류팬의 복잡한 유동특성을 이해하고 설계, 공력 해석 및 소음 특성 예측에 활용될 수 있는 3차원 비정상 유동장을 측정하였다. 엇회전식 축류팬의 3차원 비정상 유동장은 작동 영역인 설계점에서 $45^{\circ}$ 경사 열선을 이용하여 전단 동익의 전방, 전단 동익과 후단 동익 사이 그리고 후단 동익의 후방의 수직 유로 단면에서 측정되었다. 엇회전식 축류팬의 전단 동익과 후단 동익에 의해 발생되는 후류, 팁 와류 및 팁 누설 유동의 비정상 특성을 속도 벡터와 속도 윤곽을 통해 나타내었다.

  • Spray characteristics in the swirling flow were investigated by Stereoscopic PIV. Spatial spray structures were measured by PIV as well as PDA in order to understand stable flame stabilization. The feasibility study of Stereoscopic PIV in spray flame was also demonstrated. The size and location of recirculation flow were measured. The stereoscopic PIV could provide 3-D flow fluctuation that cannot be measured by convectional measurement systems.

  • Mixed convective vortex flow in the three-dimensional rectangular channel filled with high viscous fluid(Pr=909) is investigated computationally under various operating conditions. The Reynolds number is varied from 0 to $5{\times}10^{-1}$, the Rayleigh number from $10^3$ to $5{\times}10^4$. The three-dimensional governing equations are discretized using the finite volume method. The effects of Reynolds number and Rayleigh number are presented and discussed. From a parametric study, it is found that vortex flow pattern of mixed convection in rectangular channels can be classified into three flow patterns basically, but the new vortex flow structures containing wave rolls are found, which are affected by Rayleigh number and Reynolds number. From this results, we can draw a flow regime map to delineate various vortex flow patterns in the high viscosity fluid mixed convective flow.

  • The three-dimensional unsteady compressible Full Navier-Stokes equation solver with sliding multi-block method has been applied to analyze three dimensional characteristics of the flow field and compression wave around the high speed train which Is entering into a tunnel. The numerical scheme of AF + ADI was used to efficiently solve Navier-Stokes equations in the curvilinear coordinate system. The vortex formation around the nose region was found and the generation of compression wave due to the blockage effects was observed ahead of the train in the form of plane wave. The three dimensional characteristics of the flow field compared to the analytic results were discussed in detail. The variation of pressure of tunnel wall surface and velocity profile of the train are identified as the train enters into a tunnel. The changes in aerodynamic forces and streamlines of each specific sections are also discussed and presented.
