본 연구에서는 부산지역의 ICD의 역할과 기능을 활성화하기 위하여 제3자물류 방식인 TPL(Third Party Logistics) 서비스의 기능을 활용하고 이를 적극적으로 개발하기 위한 방안에 대하여 제시하고 관련 이슈를 논의하였다. Oum Park(2004)과 Lu(2003)의 연구를 통하여, 국제유통센터의 운영자들은 화주들의상이한 욕구를 정확하게 파악해야 하며, 이러한 욕구의 만족을 통해 이익을 창출해야한다고 주장하였다. 이러한 항만배후단지 입지 선정요인에 대한 문헌연구와 이를 바탕으로 시너지 효과를 발휘할 수 있는 TPL 서비스인 제3자 물류기업 유치방안을 전략적 차원에서 1) 항만배후단지의 경쟁우위 및 개선사항, 2) ICD 물류기업 유치전략, 3) 저렴한 항만배후단지 임대료, 4) 조세혜택 및 인센티브, 5) 부지확보 및 기반시설 확충, 6) 원활한 물류서비스 제공, 7) 물류기업의 연계방안 구축, 8) 차별화된 인센티브 전략 수립, 9) 장기적인 마케팅 활동 중심으로 제시하고 ICD에서 제3자 물류기업을 유치할 수있는 유치업종과 정부의 정책적 지원방안에 대하여 논의하였다. 본 연구는 부산지역의 ICD의 활로모색과 부산항의 항만배후지의 적극적 활용방법의 모색이라는 두 가지 탐색적 측면에서의 기여도를 제공한다. 특히, TPL 서비스인 제3자 물류기업 유치방안과 ICD에서 제3자 물류기업을 유치할 수 있는 유치업종 제시를 위한 기초토대를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 한계점으로 첫째, TPL 서비스인 제3자 물류기업 유치방안을 통하여 ICD에서 제3자 물류기업을 유치할 수 있는 유치업종 제시를 위한 기초토대를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있음으로, 좀 더 분석적 시각에서 실증분석을 통하여 향후 연구를 위한 이론적 토대와 통계적 분석방법이 제시될 필요가 있다. 둘째, TPL 서비스인 제3자 물류기업 유치방안은 기업의 전략적 측면뿐만 아니라 정부의 정책적 측면도 성공의 중요한 요인이 됨으로 향후 연구에서는 정부의 정책적 측면에 관련된 자료와 균형적 감각의 분석이 요구된다.

Third party logistics research is searching for increasing its logistics efficiency of organization. Perspective of resource-based theory, this study is to reveal the exploratory relation between integrated capabilities, organzaiton knowledge, and service performance. To develop the relational model, this study conducted a theoretical survey on Shang(2009)'s 3PL service providers research model and Synder & Cumming(1998)'s learning of organization knowledge. According to the result of correlation analysis, Integrated organization knowledge is positively correlated with service diversity advantage (correlation coefficient= .670, p-value= .000) and service quality advantage (correlation coefficient= .575, p-value= .000). The thesis argued that Korean companies try to apply integrated organization abilities and service performance for cutting their export expense.

본 연구는 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 전시 3국으로부터의 탄약조달 효과를 계량적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 전시 탄약확보, 조달계획, 통합수송계획 그리고 3국과의 군수협력에 관한 개념에 대해 알아보고 3국 탄약지원 가능성을 살펴보았다. 다음으로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 전시 미국과 한국의 해상수송과정에 대한 기본모형을 만든 후 미국 및 3국과 한국의 해상수송과정에 대한 비교모형 (3국모형)을 만들었다. 마지막으로 모형별로 탄약의 최종수송완료일, 작전단계별 수송량에 대해 비교 분석을 실시한 후 3국 탄약지원량에 대한 민감도 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 3국모형은 기본모형보다 탄약을 약 10% 더 조달할 수 있었다.

In the case of international trade, the role of 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, in recent years, has drawn more attention. At the same time, computers have become faster, cheaper, and more widely available. Thus. information systems have become commonplace to freight forwarders and the increased efficiencies to be gained in improving logistics has pushed managers to explorer a number of new ideas, technologies and methods of information management and automation. However, many companies are encountering difficulties to choose an information system flexible and satisfying all needs carrying on business. In this study RIA (rich internet application) technology based on Java Swing was introduced to the .freight forwarder information systems to provide richer user interfaces and a flexible web-based application. Also considered giving stakeholders in charge of logistics especially in SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) cost-effective and performance-effective solutions with good accessibility of internet for smooth operations of their businesses.

Although there has been growing interests in outsourcing the logistics sectors in the industry, not much research was undertaken to provide the processes and standards in choosing the right 3PL for the company. In this research, we attempt to provide the 3PL selection criteria and its priority orders. We surveyed and interviewed the various industry experts and analyzed results using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The study reveals that manufactures and logistics companies have different understanding of the selection criteria and priorities in outsourcing the 3PL.

This study applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate service quality of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) service providers. For this, we first conceptualize five dimensions of 3PL service quality (i.e. tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy). We then apply the AHP method to determining the relative weights of five service quality dimensions and eventually selecting the best 3PL service provider. To implement this idea in practice, we conduct an empirical study on four companies providing 3PL services in Korea.

The vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) is an important problem in third party logistics and supply chain management. We extend the VRPTW to the VRPTW with overtime and outsourcing vehicles (VRPTWOV) which allows the overtime of drivers and the possibility of using outsourcing vehicles. This problem can be applied to third party logistics companies for managing central distributor-local distributors, local distributor-retailers (or customers), and a manufacturer. We develop a mixed integer programming model and a genetic algorithm. Computational results demonstrate the efficiency of the developed genetic algorithm. We also develop a decision support system based on this genetic algorithm.

In this year(2006), the Korean government has announced the integrated logistics promotion act, to improve the international competitiveness of Korean logistics companies and to develop the north-east asia logistics hubs. Therefore, in this study, emphasized to goes forward better and presents integrated logistics industry expansive assignment through domestic logistics companies' problem and integrated logistics industry investigation of certification system as plan for successful fixing of integrated logistics industry for Northeast Asia logistics hub while strengthen international competitiveness of domestic professional logistics companies. So that the South Korea becomes Northeast Asia logistics hub country, to expand lacking logistics infra at good time is important, also, reform backward logistics system of consignor companies and advance actively to the Northeast Asia logistics market is very important to improve the professional logistics companies' upbringing to lead the Northeast Asia logistics market.

최근 $20{\sim}30$년 동안 정보통신기술의 급속한 발전과 이를 활용한 전자상거래의 빠른 확산은 국제상거래인 무역 역시 전자적인 방식으로 거래가 가능하게 하였다. 이로 인해 추후 국제간 거래에 있어 전통적인 대규모 거래방식이 아닌 전자무역사이트를 이용한 소량 다빈도 거래가 빈번하게 이루어질 전망이다. 이에 본 연구는 위에서 언급한 무역거래 패러다임의 변화에 대응하고 이를 활성화하는데 반드시 필요한 국내 제3자물류 산업의 발전방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 기존의 연구에서는 국제 제3자물류산업의 그 자체에 대한 발전방향만을 제시하고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 전자무역과 연계한 국제 3자물류산업의 발전방향에 대해 연구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 전자무역과 제3자물류에 대한 개념과 관련성을 제시하고, 이를 바탕으로 국내 제3자물류의 문제점을 제시하고 이에 대한 발전방안을 제시하였다. 전자무역과 관련하여 국내 제3자 물류의 문제점은 경영자의 인식부족, 물류비의 비중과다, 마케팅차원의 고려 부족, 전자상거래와 연계한 통합물류서비스 시스템의 미비, 전문인력 부족, 중소기업 상호간 물류공동망의 부족, 전문물류회사의 영세성, 물류관련 법규의 복잡, 물류기업간 담합 등으로 나타났다. 국내 제3자물류의 발전방안은 정부차원에서 법 제도의 정비, 통합물류정보시스템을 구축하기 위한 재정적 기술적 인프라 확대 지원, 보안 및 인증시스템 구축, 물류거래알선사이트의 활성화, 세제지원, 전문인력 양성 체계 확립 등이 있다. 기업차원의 물류발전방안으로는 혁신적 물류시스템과 연계한 통합물류정보시스템의 구축, 전자거래사이트에 연계한 원스톱 물류서비스 제공, 선진 3자물류 기술적 노하우 축적, 문전운송체계 실현, 전반적 거래진단 시스템 구비, 전략적 제휴를 통한 국제경쟁력 강화 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 목적은 이상과 같이 국제 제3자물류의 발전방안을 제시함으로써, 미래 국제무역의 새로운 패러다임인 소량다빈도 형태의 전자무역 활성화에 기여하는데 있다.

Purpose - This research explores the impacts of third-party logistics (3PLs) within the aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to explore the role of collaborative relationships for improving outsourcing. Globalization and time based competition have changed business environments and challenged the conventional management strategies that are related to core competencies and operational models. Organizations are forced to devise innovative practices in which logistics outsourcing to 3PLs offers significant advantages. Research design, data, and methodology - This case study was conducted within a leading global aircraft MRO organization whose reach spans across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. The methods used face to face semi-structured interviews, validated through further focus group discussions. Results - These findings highlight the effectiveness of collaborative relationships on their role to improve outsourcing and also demonstrated that MROs gain several advantages from 3PL arrangements. However, any gaps in outsourcing management elevates potential risks to organizations as well, which could result in reputational, operational and financial losses. Conclusions - Although generalizability is not possible due to the case study approach, generality suggests that in order to reduce reputational, operational and financial risks, enhanced collaboration with 3PLs is recommended to optimize outsourcing arrangements.
