In order to simulate OLED evaporation process, modeling of directional distribution of the vaporized organic materials, film thickness distribution profile and pattern-mask shadow effect are required In accordance with many literatures; all of them except shadow effect modeling are studied and developed. In this paper, modeling algorithm of evaporation shadow is presented for process simulation of full-color OLED evaporating system. In OLED evaporating process the offset position of the point cell-source against the substrate rotation axis and the usage of the patterned mask are the principal causes for evaporation shadow. For geometric simulation of shadow using z-map, the film thickness profile, which is condensed on a glass substrate, is converted to the z-map data. In practical evaporation process, the glass substrate is rotated. This physical fact is solved and modeled mathematically for z-map simulation. After simulating the evaporation process, the z-map data can present the shadow-effected film thickness profile. Z-map is an efficient method in that the cross-sectional presentations of the film thickness profile and thickness distribution evaluation are easily and rapidly achieved.
SELENE, a Japanese lunar mission, has been launched this year. There are large volumes of images that were already archived and will be archived by missions such as SELENE. Automatic image analysis systems, which extract useful information from large amounts of data, are now required. The authors propose Lunar Surface GIS, which archives lunar surface information collected by lunar orbiting spacecraft and conducts geological analysis automatically. This system includes automatic crater detection, automatic age determination, and lava thickness estimation methods. In this paper, methods for automatically determining the age and estimating the lava thickness of lunar mare are described. The lunar surface age was determined by analyzing data of detected crater size and number using a crater chronology method. Lava thickness was estimated by the extent of the overlying material around the crater as well as the composition of underlying terrain units. In this result, the age map at Mare Crisium suggests the mare had been formed 3.0-3.7 b.y. ago. The lava thickness result suggests the thickest part of the mare is distributed around the center of the mare. The Lunar Surface GIS can produce a geological map, age map, and mare lava thickness map, for example.
The effects of film thickness and moisture absorbing materials(MAM) on the ginger qualities were investigated during MA storage for 150 days. LDPE films of 0.04, 0.06 and 0.08mm thicknesses were applied to select the adequate film in gas permiability. MAMs of sheet and sachet type were applied to 0.06mm-LDPE film bag to prevent moisture condensation during storage. Thickness of film used affected neither weight loss nor firmness of gingers during U storage. But the thinner in thickness showed the less changes in sprouting, spoilage and reducing sugar. Moreover, compared with MAP alone, MAPs with MAM of both sachet and sheet styles led to the weight loss of gingers increasing by more than 3-4 times, but sprouting rate, spoilage rate and reducing sugar decreasing by 3.3, 1.4 and 2.3 times, respectively. These results showed that MAP with UM was significantly effective to prolong the freshness of ginger by longer than 2 times, compared with MAP alone.

We investigated the effect of PE film thickness on the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) deastringency of 'Sanggamdungsi' (Diospyros kaki cv.) astringent persimmon at room temperature ($25^{\circ}C$) and low temperature ($-1^{\circ}C$). The fruits were individually packaged with PE film of which the thickness is 60, 80, 100, 115 or $130{\mu}m$ and stored at room or low ($-1^{\circ}C$) temperature. At room temperature, firmness shows the highest value (23.3-26.5) at $100{\mu}m$ thickness. Top flesh browning and decay was monitored at 20 days after storage, and peel blackening and style-end softening was negligible at optimal thickness. Therefore, optimal film thickness of deastringency at room temperature is $80-100{\mu}m$. At this thickness, the astringency was removed after 5 days and the fruits can be distributed until 10 days after the MAP. At low ($-1^{\circ}C$) temperature, firmness was maintained regardless of film thickness. However, the firmness is higher as the film is thicker. Top flesh browning and decay was not occurred even after 90 days after storage. Peel blackening and style-end softening was monitored at 90 days after storage. Off-flavor was monitored at 115 and $130{\mu}m$ thickness. Therefore, optimal film thickness of deastringency at low ($-1^{\circ}C$) temperature is $80-100{\mu}m$. At this thickness, the astringency was removed after 50 days and the fruits can be distributed until 80 days after the MAP.
A wide dynamic range heterodyne interferometer scheme using intermode beat between a stabilized, dual frequency He-Ne laser beam has been applied for a measurement of optical thickness of an optical medium. Resolution of the optical thickness measurement is about $\pm$ 1.74 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Using this technique, we are able to determine the optical thickness of an organic dye film. We also obtain a map of the optical thickness variations over a surface of the film

In order to reduce the time and cost for assembly, automobile speaker grills have been injection molded with door trims or map pockets in one piece recently. However, several defects such as short shots or air traps can easily occur due to the decreased fluidity of the melting polymer according to the excessive heat transfer to the mold. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the resin feed system and predict possible defects by CAE analysis. However it is not possible to obtain exact analysis results for the speaker grill by using general shell elements since the heat transfer in the thickness direction which is the dominant factor of the filling stage can not be considered. Therefore, there have been several efforts to simulate the injection molding nature of the speaker grill by using shell elements with an effective thickness which is smaller than the actual thickness of the part. Two empirical values have been recommended for the effective thickness in real practice. One is 50∼70% of the thickness of the speaker grill and another is the gap distance between the adjacent holes. In this paper, CAE analyses of a map pocket with a speaker grill were conducted using shell elements with both of these recommended effective thicknesses, and the predicted flow fronts were compared with the findings from injection molding experiments. The commercial code MOLDFLOW was used for injection molding analysis and an 850 ton injection molding machine was used for experiments.
The solar and meteorological resources map is calculated using by one-layer solar radiation model (GWNU model), satellites data and numerical model output on the Korean peninsula. The Meteorological input data to perform the GWNU model are retrieved aerosol optical thickness from MODIS (TERA/AQUA), total ozone amount from OMI (AURA), cloud fraction from geostationary satellites (MTSAT-1R) and temperature, pressure and total precipitable water from output of RDAPS (Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System) and KLAPS (Korea Local Analysis and Prediction System) model operated by KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration). The model is carried out every hour using by the meteorological data (total ozone amount, aerosol optical thickness, temperature, pressure and cloud amount) and the basic data (surface albedo and DEM). And the result is analyzed the distribution in time and space and validated with 22 meteorological solar observations. The solar resources map is used to the solar energy-related industries and assessment of the potential resources for solar plant. The National Institute of Meteorological Research in KMA released $4km{\times}4km$ solar map in 2008 and updated solar map with $1km{\times}1km$ resolution and topological effect in 2010. The meteorological resources map homepage (http://www.greenmap.go.kr) is provided the various information and result for the meteorological-solar resources map.

White strains of Hypsizygus marmoreus are more difficult to cultivate than are brown strains; therefore, new white strain breeding strategies are required. Accordingly, we constructed the genetic map of H. marmoreus with 1996 SNP markers on 11 linkage groups (LGs) spanning 1380.49 cM. Prior to analysis, 82 backcrossed strains (HM8 lines) were generated by mating between KMCC03106-31 and the progenies of the F1 hybrid (Hami-18 × KMCC03106-93). Using HM8, the first 23 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) of yield-related traits were detected with high limit of detection (LOD) scores (1.98-9.86). The length, thickness, and hardness of the stipe were colocated on LG 1. Especially, length of stipe and thickness of stipe were highly correlated given that the correlation coefficients were negative (-0.39, p value ≤ .01). And a typical biomodal distribution was observed for lightness of the pileus and the lightness of the pileus trait belonged to the LG 8, as did traits of earliness and mycelial growth in potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. Therefore, results for color traits can be suggested that color is controlled by a multi-gene of one locus. The yield trait was highly negatively correlated with the traits for thickness of the stipe (-0.45, p value ≤ .01). Based on additive effects, the white strain was confirmed as recessive; however, traits of mycelial growth, lightness, and quality were inherited by backcrossed HM8 lines. This new genetic map, finely mapped QTLs, and the strong selection markers could be used in molecular breeding of H. marmoreus.

The thickness of a Si3N4 thin film with a 100m nominal thickness was measured by use of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The map of the phase-delay through the thin film was obtained by an interframe intensity-correlation-matrix method that could elliminate phase-shifting errors. After the spatial phase-shifting errors were treated with a least-squares method, the reference to surface of the phase map was estimated. The overall accuracy of the method was found to be 5nm.

The aim of this study was to develop a model that could be used in the design of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for Mandarin oranges. Respiratory data at 5, 10, 20$^{\circ}C$ for mandarin oranges were gathered and altered for create useful respiration model. The maximum rate of oxygen uptake increased with increasing temperature. The packaging materials were conventional low density polyethylene and polypropylene with anti-fog, and anti-fungi treatments, and thickness was 30 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and 50 $\mu\textrm{m}$. Permeability tests were performed to find their oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor transmission rate as increases in temperature. Test results were then converted to logarithm format for MAP modeling. Optimum gas composition in the package system for fruits were set according to literature and upper or lower limits of oxygen and dioxide established. To predict gas composition at certain storage time, weight of fruits, film thickness, film type, and other variables, respiration rate was studied at various storage conditions. The validity of the model was tested experimentally by observing actual atmospheric changes inside packages. It is concluded that the strategy developed is of use in designing dynamic gas exchange MAP systems, and also has potential uses in similar agricultural products.
