전기자동차의 난방용 면상 후막히터의 제조방법과 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Manufacturing Method and Performance of Planar Thick Film Heaters for Electric Vehicle Heating)

  • Currently used heating elements are metal and non-metal heating elements, including various types of heaters, and resistance line heating elements have a problem of decreasing thermal efficiency over time, so to solve this problem, a planar heating element using high-purity carbon materials and oxidation-resistant inorganic compounds was applied. Through the manufacture of planar heating elements using CNT, ruthenium composite materials, and ruthenium oxide, physicochemical performance and capacity were increased, and instantaneous responsiveness was increased. Through thick film technology applicable to various base bodies, fine patterns were formed by the screening method in consideration of the fact that the performance of the heat source depends on the viscosity and pattern shape. The heating element was manufactured by thick film printing technology by mixing ruthenium oxide, CNT, Ag, etc. The characteristics of each paste were analyzed through viscosity measurement, and STS 430 was used as a base. Surface temperature and efficiency were measured by testing heaters manufactured for small wind tunnels and real-vehicle experiments. The surface temperature decreased as the air volume increased, and the optimal system boundary was found to be about 200 mm. Among the currently used heating elements, this paper manufactured a planar heating element using thick film technology to find out the relationship between air volume and temperature, and to study the surface temperature.

금속산화물을 첨가한 Co3O4 후막의 가스 감지특성 (Gas sensing characteristics of Co3O4 thick films with metal oxides)

  • ${Co_3}{O_4}$ and ${Co_3}{O_4}$-based thick films with additives such as ${Co_3}{O_4}-{Fe_2}{O_3}$(5 wt.%), ${Co_3}{O_4}-{SnO_2}$ (5 wt.%), ${Co_3}{O_4}-{WO_3}$(5 wt.%) and ${Co_3}{O_4}$-ZnO(5 wt.%) were fabricated by screen printing method on alumina substrates. Their structural properties were examined by XRD and SEM. The sensitivities to iso-${C_4}H_{10}$, $CH_4$, CO, $NH_3$ and NO gases were investigated with the thick films heat treated at $400^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$. From the gas sensing properties of the films, the films showed p-type semiconductor behaviors. ${Co_3}{O_4}-{SnO_2}$(5 wt.%) thick film heat treated at $600^{\circ}C$ showed higher sensitivity to i-${C_4}H_{10}$ and CO gases than other thick-films. ${Co_3}{O_4}-{SnO_2}$(5 wt.%) thick film heat treated at $600^{\circ}C$ showed the sensitivity of 170 % to 3000 ppm iso-${C_4}H_{10}$ gas and 100 % to 100 ppm CO gas at the working temperature of $250^{\circ}C$. The response time to i-${C_4}H_{10}$ and CO gases showed rise time of about 10 seconds and fall time of about $3{\sim}4$ minutes. The selectivity to i-${C_4}H_{10}$ and CO gases was enhanced in the ${Co_3}{O_4}-{SnO_2}$(5 wt.%) thick film.

Al/Pd 박막의 수소 흡수 특성 (Hydrogen Absorption Characteristics of Al/Pd Film)

  • Al film(135.5 nm thick) with Pd film(39.6 nm thick) on the top of it was made by thermal evaporation method. Hydrogen absorption of Al/Pd film was measured by quartz crystal microbalance(QCM) method at room temperature. The sample was activated by hydrogen absorption and desorption cycling at room temperature. Hydrogen was introduced into the film by increasing hydrogen gas pressure step by step up to 640 torr at room temperature. Hydrogen concentration reached up to 25% at $5{\sim}10$ torr. But at high pressure the concentration decreased. This strange tendency was not understood yet. Further study is needed to find out the mechanism of hydrogen absorption in Al in Al/Pd film.

스크린 프린팅법으로 제작한 PZT 후막의 치밀화와 전기적 특성 (Densification and Electrical Properties of Screen-printed PZT Thick Films)

  • Ferroelectric $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ (PZT(52/48)) thick films were fabricated by the screen-Printing method on the alumina substrates, and $PbTiO_3$ (PT) Precursor solution, which prepared by sol-gel method, was spin-coated on the PZT(52/48) thick films to obtain a densification. Its structural and electrical properties of the PZT(52/48) thick films with the treatment of PT precursor solution coating were investigated. The particle size of the thick films was increased with increasing the number of coatings and the thickness of the PZT-6 (6: number of coatings) films was about $60{\mu}m$. The relative dielectric constant increased and the dielectric loss decreased with increasing the number of PT sol coatings. The relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the PZT-6 thick film were 475 and 2 %, respectively. The remanent polarization, coercive field and breakdown strength of the PZT-6 film were $32.6{\mu}C/cm^2$, 15 kV/cm and 60 kV/cm, respectively.

Dielectric and Pyroelectric Properties of Dy-doped BSCT Thick Films by Screen-printing Method

  • $(Ba_{0.57}Sr_{0.33}Ca_{0.10})TiO_3$(=BSCT) powders, prepared by the sol-gel method, were doped using $MnCO_3$ as the acceptor and $Dy_2O_3$ as the donor. This powder was mixed with an organic vehicle. BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing techniques on the alumina substrate. The structural and dielectric properties of BSCT thick films were investigated with variation of the $Dy_2O_3$ amount. As a result of the differential thermal analysis (DTA), the exothermic peak was observed at around $670^{\circ}C$ due to the formation of the polycrystalline perovskite phase. All the BSCT thick films showed the XRD patterns of a typical polycrystalline perovskite structure. The average grain size of BSCT thick films decreased with an increasing amount of $Dy_2O_3$. The relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the BSCT thick film doped $Dy_2O_3$ 0.1mol% were 4637.4 and 1.6% at 1kHz, respectively.

  • PZT(80/20) powder was prepared by a sol-gel method and PZT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method on the alumina substrates. The coating and drying procedure was repeated 4 times. And then the PZT(20/80) precursor solution was spin-coated on the multilayered thick films. A concentration of a coating solution was 0.5 mol/L and the number of coating was repeated from 0 to 6. The porosity of the thick films was decreased with increasing the number of coatings and the PZT thick films with 6-times coated showed the dense microstructure and thickness of about 60-65 ${\mu}m$. All PZT thick films showed the typical XRD patterns of a typical perovskite polycrystalline structure. The relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the PZT-6 thick film were 275 and 3.5, respectively. And the PZT-6 film shows the remanent polarization of 22.1 $C/cm^2$ and coercive field of 13.7 kV/cm.

  • Characteristics of Pb(Mg, Nb)O$_3$-Pb(Zr, Ti)O$_3$system thick films fabricated by a screen printing method were investigated. The buffer layer were coated with various thickness of Ag-Pd by screen printing to investigate the effect as a diffusion barrier and deposited Pt as a electrode by sputtering on Ag-Pb layer. The printed thick films were burned out at 650$\^{C}$ and sintered at 950$\^{C}$ in O$_2$condition for each 20, 60min after printing with 350mesh screen. The thickness of piezoelectric thick film was 15∼20㎛ and Ag-Pb layer acted as a diffusion barrier above 3㎛ thickness. The PMN-PZT thick films were screen printed on Pt/Ag-Pb(6m) and sintered by 2nd step (650$\^{C}$/20min and 950$\^{C}$/1h) using paste mixed PMN-PZT and binder in the ratio of 70:30, and the remnant polarization of thick film was 9.1$\mu$C/㎠ in this conditions.

입자 크기가 PZT계 압전 후막의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Particle Size on Properties of PZT -Based Thick Films)

  • 알루미나 기판 위에 Pb(Ni$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_3$-PbZrO$_3$-PbTiO$_3$ 후막을 스크린 인쇄한 후 800∼100$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결하여 압전 후막을 제조하였다. 마모 밀과 볼 밀 분쇄법을 이용하여 입자 크기가 서로 다른 압전 분말을 제조하였으며, 압전 분말의 입자 크기가 후막의 미세구조와 전기적 성질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 마모 밀링한 분말의 평균 입자 크기는 0.44 $\mu\textrm{m}$로 볼 밀링한 분말의 평균 입자 크기, 2.87 $\mu$m 보다 훨씬 작았다. 후막을 80$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결하였을 때는 마모 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막의 입자 크기가 볼 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막의 입자 크기보다 더 작았으며, 소결 온도가 증가함에 따라 그 차이가 점차 감소하였다. 그리고, 전체 소결 온도 구간에서 마모 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막이 볼 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막보다 균일하고 치밀한 미세구조를 보였다. 소결 온도가 90$0^{\circ}C$ 이상일 때, 마모 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막이 볼 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막보다 우수한 전기적 성질을 가졌다. 90$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 마모 밀링한 분말로 제조한 후막의 유전상수($\varepsilon$$_{r}$), 잔류분극(P$_{r}$), 항전계(E$_{c}$)는 각각 559, 16.3 $\mu$C/$cm^2$, 51.3 kV/cm이었다.다..

  • Pt, Pd, In 등의 촉매금속을 사용하여 아세토나이트릴 유독가스에 대한 감도를 향상시키는 SnO2 가스센스에 대하여 연구하였다. Metal-SnO2 후막은 백금전극이 내장된 알루미나 지지체의 스크린법으로 제작되었다. 본 센서의 특성은 검출가스의 농도의 함수로 반응기내 각센서의 전기적 저항을 측정하여 조사하였으며, 10-50ppm 범위의 유독가스 농도에 대하여 검지 측정하였다. 그 결과 촉매금속의 종류에 따라 센서에서 반응하는 감도가 각각 다르게 선택성을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • We reported on characteristics of the piezoelectric ceramic-polymer composite for the application of the thick-film speaker. The PVDF-PZT composites were fabricated to incorporate the advantages of both ceramic and polymer with various mixing ratios by 3-roll mill mixer. The composite solutions were coated by the conventional screen-printing method on ITO electrode coated PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) polymer film. After depositing the top-electrode of silver-paste, 4 kV/mm of DC field was applied at $120^{\circ}C$ for 30 min to poling the composite films. The value of $d_{33}$ (piezoelectric charge constant) was increased when the PZT weight percent was increased. The maximum value of the $d_{33}$ was 24 pC/N at 70 wt% PZT. But the $g{33}$ (piezoelectric voltage constant) showed the maximum value of $32mV{\cdot}m/N$ at 65 wt% of PZT powder. The SPL (sound pressure level) of the speaker fabricated with the 65:35 composite film was about 68 dB at 1 kHz.
