표준백금저항온도계를 이용한 온도측정능력 상호비교 (Inter-comparison of temperature measurement capability using standard platinum resistance thermometers)

  • Temperature measurement capability was inter-compared using the transfer standard platinum resistance thermometers(SPRT) among four laboratories of KRISS. The transfer SPRTs were primarily calibrated at the triple point of water and Ga melting point, then used at inter-comparison experiment. Temperature difference of calibration value between temperature laboratory and length laboratory at $20^{\circ}C$ was -0.7 mK and +2.4 mK at density laboratory. Temperature measured near $20^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$ at fluid flow laboratory was deviated by $34.2{\sim}80.4\;mK$ from the calibration values of the transfer SPRT. Ga melting points was inter-compared among three laboratories, and the difference of Ga melting points against the standard Ga melting point of temperature laboratory were $0.03{\sim}0.54\;mK$ at length laboratory and 0.02 mK at density laboratory.

℃ 이하 적외선 복사온도계 비교 교정장치 구축 (Establishment of Comparison Calibration Equipment for Infrared-radiation Thermometers Below ℃)

  • $0^{\circ}C$ 이하 적외선 복사온도계의 복사온도눈금 교정을 위해 기준 복사온도계 TRT2 (Transfer Radiation Thermometer 2, HEITRONICS)와 온도가변 흑체 ME30 (Model: ME30, HEITRONICS)을 사용하여 비교 교정장치를 구축하였다. 3개의 고정점(Ice ($0.01^{\circ}C$), In ($156.5985^{\circ}C$), Sn ($231.928^{\circ}C$))과 플랑크형 사쿠마-하토리식을 사용하고, $-50^{\circ}C$에서 TRT2의 내외삽 오차를 불확도에 포함시켜 TRT2의 복사온도 눈금을 교정하였다. ME30 흑체 개구에 공압으로 동작되는 뚜껑을 설치한 후 30초 동안만 뚜껑을 열고 복사온도를 측정함으로써 ME30 내에서 생기는 성에를 방지할 수 있었으며 비교 교정에 소요되는 시간도 반으로 줄일 수 있었다. $0{\sim}232^{\circ}C$ 영역 밖으로 벗어날수록 비교 교정장치의 불확도는 증가하며 $-20^{\circ}C$에서 확장 불확도는 0.26 K였다.

이마 체온의 진단정확도 (Diagnostic Accuracy of Temporal Artery Temperatures Measurements)

  • Purpose: This study compared the temporal artery temperature (TAT) measured by infrared temporal artery thermometers to the axillary temperature (AT) measured by standard mercury-in-glass thermometers, and evaluated accuracy of the TAT measurement for clinical practice. Methods: A total of 247 adult inpatients in general wards in a tertiary medical center located in Seoul participated in the study. The TAT was measured within one minute after the AT measurement. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, linear regression, and the Bland-Altman plot. Results: There was a significant difference in mean temperature between AT and TAT, $36.89^{\circ}C$ (SD=0.70) versus $37.35^{\circ}C$ (SD=0.72). The Bland-Altman plots demonstrated the difference between the AT and TAT as -1.29 to +0.33. The specificity and sensitivity of the TAT in detecting fever were high. The positive predictive values were 57.5% and 71.0% when the AT were higher than $38.0^{\circ}C$ and the TAT fever cutoff levels were $38.0^{\circ}C$ and $38.3^{\circ}C$ respectively. Conclusion: TAT and AT were highly correlated and agreeable, indicating that TAT is as accurate as AT. The findings suggested that TAT measurement can be used in clinical practice. For accurate communication between medical personnel, medical institutions need to provide guidelines for temperature measurement, especially for the use of thermometer and measurement sites.

흙벽돌 재료의 열전도율측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurements of the Thermal Conductivies of the Earth Block Materials.)

  • In this experiment, it was attempted to determine the thermal conductivities of earth block materials which are recently much available for farm building constructions in Korea as lower cost building materials. For this experiment, two kinds of earth block materials were sampled. One of them was pure earth and the other was cementstabilized earth with a ratio of earth to cement by volume, 20 to 1. Cylindrical sections of specimen surrounding a steel pipe(I.D. =1 inch) were used. A resistance neater in the pipe and thermometers for the measurement of radial temperature distribution were installed as shown in Fig. 1 and photograph 1. The heat which flows through the pipe and the sample was produced by passing a current through a resistance wire stretched along the pipe axis. The complete apparatus used in this experiment is schematically shown in Fig. 1.

시판되는 우유의 환경위생상태에 관한 조사 -대구.경북의 일부지역을 중심으로- (A Study on Storage Conditions of Pasteurized Fluid Milk Sold at Retail Food Establishments in Urban and Rural Areas)

  • This study was conducted from April 11, 1996 to May 12, 1996 in Taegu and its vicinities. The purpose of this study was to determine storage conditions of pasteurized fluid milk at retail food establishments. The results are summarized as follows 1. 12(9.5%) out of 126 retail food establishments displayed out dated fluid milk. In a county, more out dated fluid milk(18.2%) were found in retail food establishments in town area eup than those (2.5%) in township area myeon.(P<0.05) 2. 47(37.3%) retail food establishments stored fluid milk below 10$\circ$C, and 79(62.7%) stored them above 10$\circ$C. 3. Only 18(14.3%) refrigerators out of 126 had thermometers to check temperature of a refrigerator. 4. Coliform bacteria were isolated from 3(2.4%) out of 126 fluid milk samples.

Existing concrete dams: loads definition and finite element models validation

  • We present a methodology to validate with monitoring data finite element models of existing concrete dams: numerical analyses are performed to assess the structural response under the effects of seasonal loading conditions, represented by hydrostatic pressure on the upstream-downstream dam surfaces and thermal variations as recorded by a thermometers network. We show that the stiffness effect of the rock foundation and the surface degradation of concrete due to aging are crucial aspects to be accounted for a correct interpretation of the real behavior. This work summarizes some general procedures developed by this research group at Politecnico di Milano on traditional static monitoring systems and two significant case studies: a buttress gravity and an arch-gravity dam.

마이크로컴퓨터 제어 열풍건조장치의 제작운영 (Operation of microcomputer aided convective drying system)

  • To convert the analog signal from the drying process into the digital signal, the interface circuit was designed and built. To measure the weight and temperature during drying process, strain gauge type load cell and temperature transducer composed of pt 100 $\Omega$ thermometers and wheatstone bridge circuits were built and used. The temperature control device was composed of photocoupler and triac. Microcomputer aided experimental convective drying system was built with above cricuits and devices. Drying characteristics of onions can be estimated using this system.

  • 중진공 국가표준기의 자동화를 위한 하드웨어 및 측정 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 이 장치는 부피가 서로 다른 여러 개의 진공용기, 배기장치, 진공게이지, 온도계, 그리고 밸브 등 많은 부품들로 구성되어 있을 뿐만 아니라 복잡한 측정방법 때문에 자동화가 꼭 필요하다. 개발한 자동화 장치의 성능 평가를 위하여 진공용기의 부피율을 측정하고 용량형 격막식 진공게이지를 교정해 보았다.

체온계투입 부위에 따른 구강체온 차이에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Body Temperature Differ Differences Taken in Different Areas in the Mouth - Comparison of Body Temperature between Right and Left Subligual Areas According to Time Intervals -)

  • The Purposes of this study are to determine differences of body temperature between Right arid left subligual areas itself and differences depending upon the utilization rate of mastication according to time intervals and to determine the length of time necessary for temperature taking. This Experiment was conducted from Oct 6 through Oct 11, 1975. in which accurately tested clinical Centigrade Thermometers have been utilized. Two thermometers were inserted simultaneously under the right and left sublingual areas and the mouth kept closed while thermometers were in Place. Temperature readings were dr no at three minutes, five minutes and ten minutes. These procedures were repeated one hundred times to different subjects and the data were analyzed statistically by means of the t-test and the F-ratio. Under the 10 hypotheses designed for this study, The findings obtained are as follows; 1. The body temperatures taken at 3, 5, 10minutes intervals in the left sublingual areas were significantly higher than in the right sublingual areas , The average differences of body temperature between the right and left sublingual areas were 0.09$^{\circ}C$, 0.05$^{\circ}C$ and 0.03$^{\circ}C$ in the oder of time interval of 3, 5, and 10 minutes. 2. The body temperatures taken in the right sublingual areas among three different temperature readings, 3, 5 and 10 minutes were significantly different in 57 subjects who have been utilizing evenly both sides of the Teeth. The average readings in a group taking for 3 minutes was 37.04$^{\circ}C$, for 5 minutes 37.15$^{\circ}C$ and for 10minutes 37.28$^{\circ}C$. 3. The body temperatures taken in the left sublingual areas among three different temperature readings, 3, 5 and 10 minutes were significantly different in 57 subjects who have been utilizing evenly both sides of the tenth. The average reading in a group taking for 3 minutes was 37.13$^{\circ}C$, for 5 minutes 37.2$^{\circ}C$ and for 10 minutes 37.31$^{\circ}C$. 4., Oral temperatures taken at 3, 5, 10 minutes intervals at the side of mouth utilized for more frequent mastication were Significantly higher than the other side. The average differences of body temperature between more frequently utilized side and Less frequently utilized side were 0.08f, 0.08f and 0.09f in the order of time interval of 3, 5 and 10 minutes. 5. Oral temperature taken at the side of mouth more frequently utilized for mastication among three different temperature readings, 3, 5 and 10 minutes were significantly different in 43 subjects who have been unequally utilizing either side of teeth. The average reading in a group taking for 3 minutes was 37.09$^{\circ}C$, for 5 minutes 37.17$^{\circ}C$ and for 10 minutes 37.3$^{\circ}C$. 6. Oral temperature taken at the side of mouth less frequently utilized for mastication among three different temperature readings 3, 5 and 10 minutes were significantly different in 43 subjects who have been unequally utilizing either side of teeth. The average reading in a group taking for 3 minutes was 37.01$^{\circ}C$, for S minutes 37.09$^{\circ}C$ and for minutes 37.21$^{\circ}C$. As a result of this study, these differences among time intervals were statistically significant, but there were not so much differences as to be considered important in the clinical practice. Therefore, there would be clinically little difference between two groups who are taking for 3 minutes and for 10 minutes.

고막 체온계와 이마 체온계의 정확성 및 유용성에 대한 연구 (A Study for Accuracy and Usefulness of Tympanic Membrane and Forehead Thermometers)

  • 목 적 : 감염과 질병상태의 유용한 인자인 열의 존재와 정도를 좀더 손쉽고 정확하게 확인하기 위해, 고막체온계 및 이마체온계의 정확성과 유용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 2004년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일 까지 중앙대학교 부속 병원에 입원하여 치료받았던 환아 중 무작위로 1,050명을 선출하여 대상으로 하였으며, 수은 체온계, 고막 체온계(BRAUN IRT $3020^{(R)}$) 및 이마 체온계(HubDIC $DOTORY^{(R)}$)로 동시에 체온을 측정하였고 이를 비교, 분석하여 상관관계를 조사하였다. 결 과 : 고막 체온계와 이마 체온계의 측정치는 각각 표준 검사인 수은 체온계의 측정치와 유의한 상관관계 및 상호 교환성을 가졌으며, 양측 고막 간, 그리고 고막 체온계와 이마 체온계 사이에서도 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 발열에 대한 고막 체온계의 민감도는 오른쪽과 왼쪽에서 각각 81.1%, 82.4%였고, 양성 예측률은 각각 81.8%, 73.6%였다. 이마 체온계의 민감도는 83.3%였으며, 양성 예측률은 74.4%였다. 결 론 : 고막 체온계(BRAUN IRT $3020^{(R)}$) 및 이마형 체온계(HubDIC $DOTORY^{(R)}$)가 액와형 수은체온계와 통계적으로 유의한 상관성 및 일치성을 보이며(P<0.05), 또한 발열에 대한 민감도 및 양성 예측률이 매우 높아 일상의 가정에서나 병원에서 진료목적으로, 연구 목적으로 체온 측정하는 데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 본다.
