용접공정에서 발생하는 변태 소성 구성방정식의 수치적 구현에 관한 연구 (Numerical implementation of a constitutive equation of transformation plasticity in welding)

  • Finite element analysis of welding processes, which entail phase evolution, heat transfer and deformations, is considered in this paper. Attention focuses on numerical implementation of the thermo-elastic-plastic constitutive equation proposed by Leblond in consideration of the transformation plasticity. Based upon the multiplicative decomposition of deformation gradient, hyperelastic formulation is employed for efficient numerical integration, and the algorithmic consistent moduli for elastic-plastic deformations including transformation plasticity are obtained in the closed form. The convergence behavior of the present implementation is demonstrated via a couple of numerical examples.

히트파이프를 사용한 조명용 LED의 냉각에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Cooling of High Power LED Component using Flat Heat Pipe)

  • In this study, a thin plate-type heat pipe, instead of a solid aluminium heat sink, is used to eliminate heat released from LED components for lighting. Effects of the heat pipe size and installation angle are studied both in numerically and experimentally. According to the results, temperature on LED chip, when a heat pipe is used, is $1.2^{\circ}C$ lower than using the conventional metal PCB. The overall temperature drop is $32^{\circ}C$ if the heat pipe is properly used. The highest cooling performance is obtained in the case when the angle of a heat pipe installation is $90^{\circ}$.

  • The presteamed or prefrozen persimmon blocks of 10cm ${\times}$ 10cm ${\times}$ 15cm were air-dried at room temperature until about 30% moisture content, and then were dried in a MW oven. During drying their internal temperatures were monitored with thermo-couple probes. The presteamed and prefrozen blocks didn't show any improvement in drying rate and moisture gradient when compared with the controls. Checks appeared on the surfaces of most presteamed blocks during air-drying. It has been clearly revealed that the maximum weight, loss must, be less than 2g/min during MW drying to prevent internal checking and that MW drying reduced moisture gradients inside blocks. MW dried the persimmon blocks 440 times faster than conventional kiln.

  • In this paper, a novel Programmable Signal Conditioner(PSC) for Thermo Couple(T/C) without variable-resistance is proposed. It is fabricated by using a fully digitalized error-correction and calibration algorithm. In signal processing of T/C, since the output voltage of T/C is nonlinear and its level is very low, the circuitry become very complicated to reduce the converting error and identify the true thermal voltage signal. The newly proposed PSC has compensation and calibration algorithm not using variable resistor. Moreover structure can be very simple and it has highly precise output characteristics.

  • Pulsed Current Sintering (PCS) process possesses some problems that need to be resolved. We, therefore aims at understanding phenomena of PCS process by presenting some basic data on in situ sintering behavior of PCS. Special graphite mold equipped with thermo couple and electrodes were designed to measure the temperature, electric current and voltage inside the powder during PCS process. We apply three types of raw materials, especially for ZnO as semiconductor, $Al_2O_3$ as non-conductor and WC as good conductor. The electric current and voltage were measured for each powder during PCS process. In addition, their electric resistance properties were calculated.

  • In this paper, temperature characteristic analysis was performed by using a thermal equivalent circuit. To suppress the temperature rising, the cooling fan was installed in rotor. The temperature of permanent magnet was reduced from 66[$^{\circ}C$] to 55[$^{\circ}C$] by installing the fan. The temperature of the permanent magnets is difficult to measure. Therefore the temperature of end winding was measured directly by the thermo couple. The validity of this study was demonstrated as compared the calculated results with experimental ones.

  • 본 연구에서는 차세대 초전도 핵융합장치(KSTAR)의 가열장치인 중성입자입사장치(NBI : Neutral Beam Injection) 시스템 중 휨 전자석(Bending magnet)의 중요한 파라메타인 전류에 따른 온도상승값과 B-field의 측정을 행하고 그 결과를 나타내었다. 휨 전자석(Bending magnet)은 중성입자입사장치(NBI) 시스템 중 중성화장치(Neutralizer) 후단에 설치되어, 미처 중성화되지 못한 이온들의 케도를 변경시켜 중성입자와 분리되도록 한 후 이온덤프에서 이들 이온들의 에너지가 흡수될 수 있도록 하는 역할을 한다. 사용전원은 15[V], 1200[A]의 가변전원을 사용하였고 전류값 변화에따른 온도상승값은 thermo couple 신호선을 이용하여 측정하였으며, B-field는 3차원 Gaussmeter를 이용하여 측정을 행하였다. 측정된 결과들은 설계시의 값과 비교분석을 행하여 오차를 줄여나가고자 하였고 향후 NBI 주 진공용기에 장착하여 중성입자입사장치의 개발 수행을 행하게 될 것이다.

  • In this study, heat collecting performance was study of flat plate solar collector by the angle. A method of study on were made turn out artificial sun by the angle of 0, 15, 30 degrees. The heat performances were measured the tube array surface temperature by thermo-couple. The winter season natural condition for 4 times on the angles of various general and emboss glass at optimum distance(0.68m) calculated of between sun and solar collector. To sum up temperature rise is appear more or less that emboss glass is all the better for general glass. The temperature variable at below of 30 degree was appear very less. The maximum performance of this system at that it is tilt angle of 30 with general glass is appear Q:11.54(kcal/min) and ${\Delta}T=18.9^{\circ}C$.

  • For the last couple of decades many studies have been carried out to find out solutions to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the plate forming process. The practical way for the automation of the plate forming process has not been, however, developed yet. Since the characteristics of heating machines may be different form each other, it is necessary to investigate the thermal deformation characteristics of the heating machine to be used in the automation system. And their characteristics may be updated as new information about thermal deformation by heating is accumulated. In this paper, data base system has been constructed based on the results of experiments and numerical analyses, which will be used in deriving the deformation estimation formula. The computer code which can automatically derive the deformation estimation formula has been also developed. This paper also illustrates how the formula is updated as experimental data are added. From the present findings, it can be said that the automatic deriving procedure may be important in the automated plate forming system since the heating line information to be generated must be directly influenced by the deformation estimation formula.

  • The long-tenn exposure of polymeric composite materials to extreme-use environments, such as pressure, temperature, moisture, and load cycles, results in changes in the original properties of the material. In this study, the effect of combined environmental factors such as ultraviolet ray, high temperature and high moisture on mechanical and thermal analysis properties of glass fabric and phenolic composites are evaluated through a 2.5 KW accelerated environmental aging tester. The environmental factors such as temperature, moisture and ultraviolet ray applied of specimens. A xenon-arc lamp is utilized for ultraviolet light and exposure time of up to 3000 hours are applied. Several types of specimens - tensile, bending, and shear specimens that are warp direction and fill direction are used to investigate the effects of environmental factors on mechanical properties of the composites. Mechanical degradations for tensile, bending and shear properties are evaluated through a Universal Testing Machine (UTM). Also, storage shear modulus, loss shear modulus and tan a are measured as a function of exposure time through a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA). From the experimental results, changes in material properties of glass fabric and phenolic composites are shown to be slightly degraded due to combined environmental effects.
