During an earthquake on December 29th 2020, the Krško NPP automatically shutdown due to the trigger of the negative neutron flux rate signal on the power range nuclear instrumentation. From the time course of the detector signal, it can be concluded that the fluctuation in the detector signal may have been caused by the mechanical movement of the ex-core neutron detectors or the pressure vessel components rather than the actual change in reactor power. The objective of the analysis was to evaluate the sensitivity of the neutron flux at the ex-core detector position, if the detector is moved in the radial or axial direction. In addition, the effect of the core barrel movement and core inside the baffle movement in the radial direction were analysed. The analysis is complemented by the calculation of the thermal and total neutron flux gradient in radial, axial and azimuthal directions. The Monte Carlo particle transport code MCNP was used to study the changes in the response of the ex-core detector for the above-mentioned scenarios. Power and intermediate-range detectors were analysed separately, because they are designed differently, positioned at different locations, and have different response characteristics. It was found that the movement of the power range ex-core detector has a negligible effect on the value of the thermal neutron flux in the active part of the detector. However, the radial movement of the intermediate-range detector by 5 cm results in 7%-8% change in the thermal neutron flux in the active part of the intermediate-range detector. The analysis continued with an evaluation of the effects of moving the entire core barrel on the ex-core detector response. It was estimated that the 2 mm core barrel radial oscillation results in ~4% deviation in the power and intermediate-range detector signal. The movement of the reactor core inside baffle can contribute ~6% deviation in the ex-core neutron detector signal. The analysis showed that the mechanical movement of ex-core neutron detectors cannot explain the fluctuations in the ex-core detector signal. However, combined core barrel and reactor core inside baffle oscillations could be a probable reason for the observed fluctuations in the ex-core detector signal during an earthquake.
In this paper, thermal movement of high power LED on the MCPCB is analyzed with structural function and CFdesign V10 program. thermal resistance is decreased as 10.1 [$^{\circ}C$/W] in MCPCB from 12.2 [$^{\circ}C$/W] in LED package. Junction temperature which is calculated with thermal computational analysis program shows 85.113 [$^{\circ}C$] and almost same to measured data.
In the present work, water-based gold nanofluids were synthesized by the solution plasma processing (SPP). The size distribution and the shape of gold nanoparticles in the nanofluids were investigated using high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM). The dispersion stability of gold nanofluids was characterized using zeta potential, as well. The thermal properties of gold nanofluids were measured by utilizing lambda measurement device. Nanofluids containing nanoparticles with $64.0{\pm}42.1\;nm{\sim}18.10{\pm}5.0\;nm$ in diameter were successfully synthesized. As diameter of nanoparticles decreased, dispersion stability of nanofluids increased and the enhanced ratio of thermal conductivity increased. The nanofluid with nanoparticles of $18.10\;{\pm}\;5.0\;nm$ in diameter showed approximately 3% improvement in thermal conductivity measurement and this could be due to the enhanced Brownian movement.

The substrate behavior response testing outlined in KS F 2622 evaluates the leakage cause of waterproofing membrane systems when subjected to the concrete joint load behaviors by removing the waterproofing layer after testing, relying mostly on visual observation and subjective analysis. A non-destructive leakage cause and failure type analysis method is proposed currently in this study by the means of detecting leakage paths using thermal emission imaging systems. Test specimens are placed in varying temperature conditions after the concrete joint movement testing and are scanned using the thermal emission camera to determine the location and dimension of the adhesion failure/leakage path beneath the waterproofing membranes.

The temperature of exhaust gas was raised by increasing of engine movement on developing engine. Thermal of high temperature and pressure reverse in bellows, because of increasing of engine movement and the thermal performance of converter in combustion. As a result, thermal loss is increased and thermal efficiency is decreased rapidly in bellows, it can occur to damage in mechanical structure. In this study, it was necessary to analyze back pressure performance and thermal characteristic on driving condition in exhaust system. It was adapted braid type bellows and straight type exhaust pipe. It was compared with curve type exhaust pipe for lay-out on considering to design of exhaust system. It was necessary to improve thermal characteristic and back pressure performance so that expansion cavity pipe(ECP) was installed between bellows and catalyst convert. Not only decreasing back pressure was solved but also thermal characteristic problems in exhaust pipe because of increasing capacity. According to this study, the basis of data is presented when new exhaust system is designed.

There are numerous studies on relations between sleep and environmental factors such as noise, illumination and thermal conditions. Sleep is affected by the thermal environment. This study describes influence of thermal environment on skin temperature, sleep patterns and body movements using physiological and psychological measurements. The results are as follows: 1) The fluctuations of room temperature during sleep appeared skin temperature variations. The more room temperature is high, the more skin temperature is high in 22$^{\circ}C$, 26$^{\circ}C$, 30$^{\circ}C$. 2) A significant relation between body movement and skin temperature was found within room temperature. Under room temperature conditions of 22$^{\circ}C$, 26$^{\circ}C$, 30$^{\circ}C$, there were significantly higher rates of body movement in the room temperature(30$^{\circ}C$). 3) Uncomfortable after sleep in thermal environment is mostly under high temperature(30$^{\circ}C$), and they are about fatigue due to not enough sleeping. 4) The degree of indoor thermal temperature with sufficient sleeping is in 22.8 ∼ 27.8$^{\circ}C$.

The study on the high-speed machine tool is very important for the improvement of productivity since it can shortens cutting and non-cutting time. Especially, high speed of feed drive system is the major research field. In the industries of the advanced countries, the feed drive systems at the speed of 60 m/min have been already developed based on the high lead ball screws. In this study, a high speed feed drive system at the speed of 60 m/ min has been developed, and its movements characteris-tics are investigated. As the movement characteristics, positioning accuracy, angular accuracy, straightness and micro step-response are measured. Thermal characteristics of the system is also discussed. For measuring the movement characteris-tics, a laser interferometer, a memory-based Hi-coder and a cooling device are used. The experimental results confirm that the movement characteristics and the thermal behavior of the system are satisfactory in the aspect of accuracy and stability.

This paper proposes a human movement detection system by a thermopile array sensor. In the system, the sensor is attached to the ceiling and it acquires spatial temperatures, which is called thermal distribution. The system obtains $4{\times}4$ pixels thermal distributions from the sensor. The distributions are analyzed to extract human movement. As the experimental result, the proposed system successfully detected human movements.

This study is to investigate effects of thermal conditions on sleep. Five female university students participated in the sleep experiment. Three temperature levels (22, 26, and $30^{\circ}C$) were given, and relative humidity was maintained to $50\%$. When as subject arrived in the chamber at 9 o'clock in the evening, questionnaire was given to check physical and psychological conditions. After checking conditions, subjects went to bed till 07 : 30 in the morning. Body movement was checked during sleeping. After sleep in the chamber, questionnaire was given to the subject in order to check sleep quality. Subjects evaluated sleep quality by themselves by answering the time they fall asleep and wake up, frequency of wake during sleep, causes of each waking, and feeling after sleep. Sleep quality was rated with 7-point scale. At $30^{\circ}C$ condition, body movement was significantly higher than of other thermal conditions. The best sleep quality was obtained at the $26^{\circ}C$ condition, while the worst sleep was taken at the $30^{\circ}C$ condition.
The purpose of this study was to investigate physiological responses such as rectal temperature, skin temperature, micro climate, sweat rate and subjective sensations using cold protective clothing with five different clo value. The clo value was measured by thermal manikin in windless condition. Healthy five 20's males volunteered as subjects for wearing trial experiment. The climate chamber was controlled at $50^{\circ}C$, 65% RH. The experiment consisted of repeated exercise and recovery periods. We found that the higher clo value has, the higher mean skin temperature, micro climate and sweat rate show. They felt warm and wet with higher insulation clothing. Thermal comfort increased in the last recovery period after exercise. There was significant difference between five cold protective clothing. In correlation analysis of clo value, it showed that correlation coefficient(r) values were more than 0.8. Therefore, in terms of clothing insulation, we found that correlation between thermal manikin experiment and wearing trial experiment was high. Clothing insulation could be variable according to many factors such as body movement, covering area, clothing gap, layering and design. Considering the body movement, we thought that insulation measurement need to carry out both thermal manikin experiment and wearing trial experiment.
