Yangon city is experienced a rapid urban expansion over the last two decades due to accelerate with the socioeconomic development. This research work studied an investigation into the application of the integration of the Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for observing Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) patterns and evaluate its impact on Land Surface Temperature (LST) of the downtown, suburban 1 and suburban 2 of Yangon city. The main purpose of this paper was to examine and analyze the variation of the spatial distribution property of the LULC of urban spatial information related with the LST and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) using RS and GIS. This paper was observed on image processing of LULC classification, LST and NDVI were extracted from Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) image data. Then, LULC pattern was linked with the variation of LST data of the Yangon area for the further connection of the correlation between surface temperature and urban structure. As a result, NDVI values were used to examine the relation between thermal behavior and condition of land cover categories. The spatial distribution of LST has been found mixed pattern and higher LST was located with the scatter pattern, which was related to certain LULC types within downtown, suburban 1 and 2. The result of this paper, LST and NDVI analysis exhibited a strong negative correlation without water bodies for all three portions of Yangon area. The strongest coefficient correlation was found downtown area (-0.8707) and followed suburban 1 (-0.7526) and suburban 2(-0.6923).

To evaluate structural safety factor of the jet vane for the thrust deflection system under the dynamic pressure and very high temperature($2700^{\circ}C$) of the combustion gas flow, the high temperature tension tests of refractory metals and 3-D nonlinear numerical simulations are performed. Through the analysis of high temperature structural behavior for jet vane, the structural safety of jet vane is evaluated, and numerical results are compared with static pound tests of jet vanes. It has been found that most of structural and thermal loading is concentrated on the vane shaft which worked as safe under $1400^{\circ}C$. From the comparison of static ground tests and numerical results, the evaluation criterion using the vane load and shaft displacement is more useful to estimate the structural safety than using the equivalent stress.
TAME synthesis was studied in a fixed bed reactor with 3 different types of exchanged resins i.e, Amberlyst-15, Amberlyst-15(wet) and Amberlyst XN-1010. Amberlyst-15 has highest activity, presumably due to the higher reaction participation of the inner active sites of gel shape microparticular resin structure. The optimum reaction conditions for TAME synthesis were found as follows ; reaction temperature of $135^{\circ}C$, molar ratio(MeOH/I.A.A) of 1.0~4.0 and W/F of 2.0~4.0 gr.-cat. hr/gr.-mole. The cross-linking bond of styrene divinyl benzene was observed at $2{\theta}=20$ in XRD pattern. The DSC analysis showed that the thermal stability was in order of Amberlyst-15>Amberlyst-15(wet)>Amberlyst XN-1010. The apparent activation energies of TAME synthesis reaction with Amberlyst-15, Amberlyst-15(wet) and Amberlyst XN-1010 were 12.36, 12.46 and 14.72 kcal/mole, respectively.

Melt blends of copolyesterethylene(CPEE) and ethylene vinylacetate copolymer(EVA) with 15% vinylacetate content were prepared in the ratio of 0 to 100% CPEE with 10% interval for the purpose of obtaining useful biodegradable polymer system. Miscibility behavior of melt blend samples has been studied by observing the melting temperature change and cold crystallization temperature with differential scanning calorimetry. From the results of thermal analysis, it was shown that each 10% blend composition of CPEE and EVA had the partially miscibility. Useful compatibility has been observed in all blend composition except the samples of 50~80 % CPEE composition from the mechanical property study. Compatibility of these blend has been also observed with scanning electron microscopy. Biodegradability of CPEE/EVA blends has been evaluated by observing the change of specimen with Image analyzer before and after the inoculation with specific microorganism.
Various adhesive materials are used in flip chip packaging for electrical interconnection and structural reinforcement. In cases of COF(chip on film) packages, low temperature bonding adhesive is currently needed for the utilization of low thermal resistance substrate films, such as PEN(polyethylene naphthalate) and PET(polyethylene terephthalate). In this study, the effects of anhydride and dihydrazide hardeners on the low-temperature snap cure behavior of epoxy based non-conductive pastes(NCPs) were investigated to reduce flip chip bonding temperature. Dynamic DSC(differential scanning calorimetry) and isothermal DEA(dielectric analysis) results showed that the curing rate of MHHPA(hexahydro-4-methylphthalic anhydride) at $160^{\circ}C$ was faster than that of ADH(adipic dihydrazide) when considering the onset and peak curing temperatures. In a die shear test performed after flip chip bonding, however, ADH-containing formulations indicated faster trends in reaching saturated bond strength values due to the post curing effect. More enhanced HAST(highly accelerated stress test) reliability could be achieved in an assembly having a higher initial bond strength and, thus, MHHPA is considered to be a more effective hardener than ADH for low temperature snap cure NCPs.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the type of extended-balcony floor plan which has been reflected as a various forms after making amendment to the apartment extended-balcony legislation on December 2005 and to understand the design tendency of housing unit plan and the characteristic of living space planning by the type of size(pyeong) and extension. The objects of analysis and the plans are 333 example(235 of $84m^2$, 98 of $59m^2$) from the LH corporation competition. The design tendency of balcony space after extension is as follows; First, a type of extension for simple area to increase the area of room adjacent to balcony through balcony extension. Second, a type of functional reinforcement for private room to separate the mixed function followed by strengthening the individual function of the private room. Third, a type of ${\alpha}$-room to play new functions as hobby room, study room, soho-type room with working from home by extending balcony. Fourth, a integrated type to increase flexible efficiency of bed room, living room and kitchen by integrating extended-balcony from the flexible plan. Along with the evaluation of living style through user's environment-behavior research and the counterplan for evacuation space, indoor thermal environment and space for fulfilling the original function of balcony should be proposed in the future study.

Glass ceramic has a high mechanical strength and low sintering temperature. So, it can be used as a thick film substrate or a high strength insulator. A series of glass ceramic samples based on MgO-$Al_2O_3-SiO_2-ZrO_2$ (MASZ) were prepared by melting at $1,600^{\circ}C$, roll-quenching and heat treatment at various temperatures from $900^{\circ}C$ to $1,400^{\circ}C$. Dependent on the heat treatment temperature used, glass ceramics with different crystal phases were obtained. Their nucleation behavior, microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated with differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Vicker's hardness testing machine. With increasing the heat treatment temperature of MASZ samples, their hardness and toughness initially increase and then reach the maximum points at $1,300^{\circ}C$, and begin to decrease at above this temperature, which is likely to be due to the softening of glass ceramics. As the content of $ZrO_2$ in MAS glass ceramics increases from 7.0 wt.% to 13 wt.%, Vicker's hardness and fracture toughness increase from $853Kg/mm^2$ to $878Kg/mm^2$ and $1.6MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ to $2.4MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ respectively, which seems to be related with the nucleation of elongated phases like fiber.
Effects of surface defect distribution on flame instability during flame-surface interaction are experimentally investigated. To examine the chemical quenching phenomenon, we prepared thermally grown silicon oxide plates with well-defined defect density. Ion implantation was used to control the number of defects, i.e. oxygen vacancies. In an attempt to preferentially remove the oxygen atoms from silicon dioxide surface, argon ions with low energy level from 3keV to 5keV were irradiated at the incident angle of $60^{\circ}C$. Compositional and structural modification of $SiO_2$ induced by low-energy $Ar^+$ ion irradiation has been characterized by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The analysis shows that as the ion energy increases, the number of structural defect also increases and non-stoichiometric condition of $SiO_x(x{\le}2)$ plates is enhanced. From the quenching distance measurements, we found out that when the surface temperature is under $300^{\circ}C$, the quenching distance decreases on account of reduced heat loss; as the surface temperature increases over $300^{\circ}C$, however, quenching distance increases despite reduced heat loss effect. Such aberrant behavior is caused by heterogeneous chemical reaction between active radicals and surface defect sites. The higher defect density, the larger quenching distance. This results means that chemical quenching is governed by radical adsorption and can be parameterized by the oxygen vacancy density on the surface.

Behavior of loop seal formation and clearing during small break loss of coolant accident is investigated using the RELAP5/MOD 2 and /MOD3 codes with the test of SB-CL-18 of the LSIF (Large Scale Test Facility). The present study examines the thermal-hydraulic mechanisms responsible for early core uncovery including the manometric effect due to an asymmetric coolant holdup in the steam generator upflow and downflow side. The analysis with the RELAP5/MOD2 demonstrates the main phenomena occuring in the depressurization transient including the loop seal formation and clearing with sufficient accuracy. Nevertheless, several differences regarding the evolution of phenomena and their timing have been pointed out in かe base calculations. The RELAP5/MOD3 predicts overall phenomena, particularly the steam generator liquid holdup better than the RELAP5/MOD2. The nodalization study in the components of the steam generator U-tubes and the cross-over legs wiか the RELAP5/MOD3 results in good prediction of the loop seal clearing phenomena and their timing.
