한국농촌지역 전통주택과 마을입지의 이기풍수(理氣風水) 해석 - 의성 김씨 종택을 중심으로 - (A location analysis of Korean traditional housing and farm village based on the Eagi(理氣)theory in Feng Shui : Case study on the head family house of Mr. Kim located in Uisung County, Kyongsang Province)

  • The purpose of this study was to systemize the 'Eagi(理氣)' theory in Feng Shui which has been neglected in Korea because of its difficulties in the current Feng Shui theory and to make it easier to apply in the art of placement. The study also analysed the characteristics of the location of a sample village in terms of Feng Shui. Besides the placement analysis, the interpretation of the Yangtaek(陽宅) theory was analysed on the layout of the outdoor space of the building. As the initial step, various theories about Feng Shui were investigated. Based on those, the framework of the Feng Shui theory was summarized for application to the case study. Yangtaeksamyo(陽宅三要) was referred to for consideration of Feng Shui theory outside the residential buildings. At the same time, configurational analysis of the ground was carried out with the naked eye and actual measurements were taken using a specific compass(佩鐵). The results were summarized as follows : First, the 'Eagi' theory in Feng Shui, which finds a 'lucky site(穴)' selects the 'geomagnetic aspect(坐向)' by analyzing the natural forces of wind and water. In this theory, the aspect was regarded of most importance. 'Yangtaek Feng Shui (陽宅風水)' was the theory that people's ups and downs depends on the direction of the place where they live on, and was developed on the basis of 'I ching(周易)'. Second, the village and the house in the case study have been considered as lucky places from old times and this was equally verified by the 'Eagi (理氣)' theory and the "Yangtaek (陽宅)' theory.

  • Kurye-gun, which Hwaeomsa temple is located, has huge scale's geographical characteristics, such as mountains, rivers and open fields. This is really blessing area because of Som-jin river at the bottom of Ghiri mountain and open fields, which this situation is very difficult. The location of Hwaeomsa temple is an end of The Baek-Doo Mountains and very important spot(where influences to its geometric converge) of the theory of feng-shui. On exposure logic of the Korean traditional theory of feng-shui, the organization in Ga-Ram of Hwaeomsa temple is inconsistent with representative theory and analyzing system. So, this is one of successful examples with the theory of feng-shui because exhalation from the earth and water was organized well with accuracy.

A Study on the Site analysis of Jongmyo area -With Feng-shui theory and Geomagnetic Field

  • East Asian explain the changes of substance happened on earth and those of human life with the conceptual frame of "Gi-ki"(地氣; earth vital energy) and organize them by the system of "Feng-shui(風水) theory. The core of Feng-shui theory is reading the expression of the nature and feeling the Gi-ki from the expression. One of the properties of the earth is that the earth has a magnetic field associated with it- the Geomagnetic field. The geomagnetic field is produced by a combination of the effects of electric currents in the earth's liquid core, the magnetization of crustal rocks, external electric current systems that surround the earth and currents induced in the outer layers of the earth by magnetic field variations. The sameness of logic between Feng-shui and geopathic zones is that both are concerned with the discrimination of site and the energy of places, in other words both disciplines are concerned with how the environment can influence people. In this context the operation of Gj-ki can be related with the effect caused by geomagnetic field on site. In this study Jongmyo(宗廟), one of the representative traditional architecture in Korea is selected because the site selection and building layout follows Feng-shui faithfully according to Taejo silok (太祖實錄, Annals of King Taejo). Observing the landforms surrounding Jongmyo, Jongmyo is apparently located in auspicious places named Gumge Poranhyoeng(金鷄抱卵形, a Feng-shui landscape of golden hen sitting on eggs). The geomagnetic investigation of Jongmyo shows that the geomagnetic values of Toekan(the space near Hyeol) are relatively high and uniform and those of Sangweoldae and Haweoldae are decreased in accordance with the distance. The result shows that there is possibility that Feng-shui has scientific basis related with geomagnetic field. Feng-shui theory can suggest a direction for designing the sustainable building for living with nature.

  • 大巡真理会广泛地吸收了诸多古老的传统文化, 形成独具特色的宗教文化, 而对风水文化的借鉴和改造就是其中的一个重要方面。在 《典经》 的记载中, 就有许多关于风水文化的内容。《典经》 中的风水文化, 既从传统的风水学说中汲取养分, 也进行了许多的创造性地理解。借助大巡真理会的教义对风水文化进行理解, 这就使得 《典经》 呈现出别具一格的特色。通过对 《典经》 中有关风水文化的整理, 本文试图从地气, 山势以及明堂这三个方面来讨论大巡真理会的风水文化。透过风水文化的视角对 《典经》 展开深入探究, 有助于更好地理解 《典经》 这一宗教圣典的深刻内容和神圣意义。

장수마을계획을 위한 S마을 풍수특성 기초조사 (Analysis on the Feng-Shui Characteristics of S village for the Longevity Village Plan)

  • The present study analyzed the spatial characteristics of S village according to the Feng-Shui theory(風水理論). People's life span is affected by several factors including hereditary constitution, dietary life and life habits but recently there is an opinion that longevity village in Korea are commonly located in areas at a proper altitude. The objective of the present study was to basic investigate the characteristics of S village from the viewpoint of Feng-Shui(風水). As for this study, it will be given help to a longevity village plan. For this purpose, we conducted field survey and map investigation of the natural geographic situation of S village focused on Ryong(龍, contiguous line of terrestrial stratum), Hull(穴, village location), Sa(砂, geographical feature of surrounding mountains), Su(水, water flow) and Hyang(向), which are Feng-Shui(風水) objects to be observed. According to the result of this research, S Village, which has mountains in the rear and a river in the front, was found to be in fine geographic situation equipped with Sashinsa(四神砂). According to the Feng-Shui theory(風水理論), the village was hang-ju-hyoung(行舟形), which means that people and properties flourish together. A shortcoming of the village was the absence of Ahnsan(案山) to block harmful winds blowing to the fore of the village. In addition, another shortcoming of the village in terms of Feng-Shui(風水) was the large variation of temperature because of its location surrounded by high mountains as if the village was situated inside a bowl. The Hyang(向) of village houses were arranged by the geographical feature and not by Feng-Shui(風水).

청오경(靑烏經)의 문헌적 연구 (A philological Study on Qingwujing(靑烏經))

  • This study was to analyze the philological character of Qingwujing(靑烏經). Qingwujing is the oldest and representative documents of FengShui, especially famous for FengShui XingQi(形氣) theories. In spite of is fame, a systematic research for Qingwujing was not yet fulfilled up to now in Korea. In is the main reason why have to research the philological character of Qingwujing. The results from this research were described as following. Qingwujing(靑烏經) as knows of Qingwujing's writer is very famous already in Han 한(漢) dynasty for his accurate FengShui methods. His FengShui thories getting more powerfyl from WeiChen(魏晉) to Tang(唐) dynasty. In Tang(唐) dynasty Qingwujing was abolished by government rulers, but it recovered and retouched by some scholars from Tang(唐) and Song(宋) dynasty. In the process, the block book of Qingwujing were changed for four or five kinds. Qingwujing's block books of Ming(明) dynasty are Yimenguangdu(夷門廣牘), Xiaoshisanjing(小十三經), Jujiabibei(居家必備), and Shuofu(說郛). It's block books of Qing(淸) dynasty are Gujintushujicheng(古今圖書集成), Sikuquanshu(四庫全書), Xuejintaoyuan(學津討原), and Ershierziquanji(二十二子全集). It's block book of Choson(朝鮮) dynasty is KyujangKak(奎章閣). Among them distinctive characters been founded, but the basic contents and theories are almost same. In Korea, Qingwuzi's FengShui theories were confirmed in Silla(新羅) dynasty, and it recoreded in Soongboksa inscription written by Choi-CheeWon. Qingwu(靑烏) or Qingwuzi were known for a great FengShui master of a FengShui standing theories in Koryeo(高麗) and Choson dynasty among royal families and the aristocratic classes. And Qingwujing was a representative FengShui theory book in wh0.1ole period of Choson dynasty. Now for understanding traditional FengShui theories, we have to understand the main FengShui theories on Choson dynasty at first. For understanding Choson FengShui, the study on philological character of Qingwujing is the basic works. If those works fulfilled successfully, we can understand FengShui theories and FengShu itself more correctly.

풍수지리로 본 대순진리회 여주본부도장 (Daesoon Jinrihoe Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex as Viewed within Feng-Shui Theory)

  • 본 논문은 구천상제를 신앙의 대상으로 여기고 음양합덕·신인조화·해원상생·도통진경을 종지로 하여 상생의 등불, 수도의 터전, 인존시대를 여는 대순진리회 여주본부도장을 풍수학의 형기(形氣)적 이치를 통해 개벽공사 성지(聖地)임을 밝히고자 하였다. 그러기 위해서는 이를 입증할 수 있는 대순진리회 여주본부도장의 지리적 위치, 산수의 음양관계, 지맥(地脈)의 행도(行度) 과정 등 풍수지리 전반에 걸쳐 고찰이 필요하다 하겠다. 동시에 인간개조와 정신개벽으로 포덕천하(布德天下), 구제창생(救濟蒼生), 지상천국(地上天國) 건설을 목적으로 포덕(布德)·교화(敎化)·수도(修道)의 기본사업과 구호자선사업·사회복지사업·교육사업의 3대 중요사업을 추진해오고 있는 대순진리회 여주본부도장이 후천개벽의 인존시대를 열어갈 풍수적 적지임을 말해주는 용(龍), 혈(穴), 사(砂), 수(水)의 상호작용에 관한 연구도 매우 중요하다. 종단의 중심인 여주본부도장은 배산임수(背山臨水)의 풍수적 국세를 두루 갖추고 있다. 인류 해원상생(解冤相生)의 중심인 대순진리회 여주본부도장에 대한 풍수적 고찰을 통하여 풍수적 상징성과 보은상생(報恩相生)의 윤리 실천을 통해 미래를 밝혀 나갈 생왕지지(生旺之地)에 대해 탐색하고, 팔방(八方)의 상서로운 기운이 모인 이곳 본부도장의 영험한 명당국세의 수도처적(修道處的) 지세와 형국, 맑은 수기(水氣)와 어울린 지맥(地脈), 산수유정한 국세, 용혈사수(龍穴砂水)의 이치에 부합한 여주본부도장의 풍수적 입지를 밝히고자 했다. 따라서 본 논문의 주제인 대순진리회 여주본부도장의 풍수적 입지와 관련하여 현장을 중심으로 산과 물의 흐름을 풍수지리 이치에 근거하여 살피고 주변의 산세가 어떤 형태로 호응하고 있는지를 전반적으로 살펴보았다. 여주본부도장을 중심으로 사신사(四神砂)인 청룡, 백호, 주작, 현무 등의 포국(布局)과 입지의 연관성을 고찰하고자 형기론(形氣論)을 중심으로 전래 된 전통 지리서(地理書) 등을 토대로 여주본부도장의 풍수적 연구의 타당성을 뒷받침하고자 했다.

전통풍수의 상징적 의미를 체용(體用)한 간판 배색 제안 - 사업주의 본명궁을 중심으로 - (Proposed Color Scheme with Feng Shui Significance - Focused on the Bonmyeonggung of business owners -)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a new direction for color schemes of city signages to provide psychological stability to business owners and improve business value. Types of city sign color schemes and Feng Shui awareness of business owners were examined. Color schemes for signs were proposed, reflecting city landscape colors, color perception theory, and the Feng Shui Sangsaeng Sanggeuk theory. Results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, in order to secure colorscape quality of existing city buildings, signs should be small and consist of only three or fewer colors. Second, existing signage colors and the Feng Shui ideas of business owners have something in common with the five traditional cardinal colors. Thus, it can be interpreted that Feng Shui ideas are deeply rooted in the color use awareness of the Korean people. Third, background colors of signages can reflect the idea of innate Sangsaeng according to the Bonmyeonggung of business owners. The concept of acquired Sanggeuk can also be applied to other design elements such as characters. Fourth, as a second choice according to the function of sign, city landscape or preference of business owner, etc., the background color can remain a color of Sangsaeng, while other design elements such as characters can use a color scheme corresponding to Bihwasaek. Fifth, signs can create a statement and stand out using lightness contrast or saturation contrast theories. A variety of sign color schemes are also possible just by altering the lightness and saturation levels.

신라말 구산선문(九山禪門) 사찰의 입지 연구 - 풍수적 측면을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Location of Zen Buddhist Temples During the Late Silla Dynasty in Korea - from Feng-shui(風水) Perspective -)

  • 신라 말 선종계열 사찰을 대표하는 구산선문(九山禪門)의 개산(開山)은 지방문화의 발흥과 자신감의 표현이었으며 지방 호족들의 사회 경제적 기반을 토대로 한 것이었다. 선종(禪宗)이 유행하던 시기에 주로 재창되었던 구산선문의 입지 특색은 풍수적 논리를 따른 것이다. 풍수가 성행하기 이전에 건립된 사찰들은 주로 전통적인 토착신앙 세력들이 신성시하던 성소, 성지(聖所, 聖地)를 택해 입지했고, 신라의 경우 왕성의 도심 곳곳에 사찰이 수없이 많이 건립되었다. 이후 신라말기에 선종의 유행으로 인해 선종사찰들이 많이 건립되고 풍수도 본격적으로 성행하게 되어 사찰의 입지에 풍수논리가 뒷받침되기 시작했다. 구산선문이 개산(開山)하기 이전의 사찰은 주로 삼산, 오악(三山, 五岳) 등의 영지(靈地)개념에 따른 입지가 많았으나 구산선문은 당시로서는 변방이라 할 수 있는 지역으로 확대되어 독립적인 산문을 재창하였다. 구산선문 각 사찰의 경우 산과 물이 짜임새 있게 조화를 이루고 있어 풍수지리적인 전체성이 잘 드러나고 있다. 각 사찰은 계곡물이 모여 완만히 감싸는 곳, 물을 얻기 용이하면서도 산이 사방으로 들러쳐진 아늑한 곳, 즉 풍수에서 길지(吉地)로 여기는 '산에 기대고 물에 접한' 땅에 입지하여 풍수적인 조건을 잘 갖추고 있다. 구산선문은 주로 분지상의 지세에 입지하였으며 사찰의 축선(軸線)은 지형(내룡(來龍)의 맥세(脈勢))에 따라 이루어졌다. 각 사찰에서 나타나는 장소의 약점은 풍수적인 비보책(裨補策)을 통해 보완하였다.

팔공산(八公山) 동화사(桐華寺)의 풍수(風水) 및 가람배치( 伽藍配置)의 특징(特徵) (A study on the location of Donghwa temple from feng-shui perspective)

  • 본 연구는 팔공산의 지형적인 특성을 반영하는 동화사(桐華寺)의 입지와 가람배치의 풍수지리적 특성을 밝히는 것이다. 동화사의 풍수지리적인 특성에 대한 해석과 연구는 향후 동화사의 토지이용이나 건물의 증 개축, 진입로의 개설, 가람의 변경 유지 등에 참고할 수 있는 기초적 자료를 제공할 것으로 생각된다. 동화사는 산과 물이 에워싸인 지세로 풍수지리적인 조건을 잘 갖추고 있는 곳으로 종교적 장소성을 확보하기에 용이한 조건을 갖추었다. 봉황과 관련된 안온한 지세와 어울리게 가람이 배치되었으며, 봉황을 상징하는 시설물들이 누각과 문, 비에 남아있고, 대나무와 오동나무가 많이 식재(植栽)되어 있다. 동화사의 중심공간이 잘 부각되고, 사찰의 경역(境域)을 청정하게 유지하기 위해 주 진입로의 복원, 주차장의 폐쇄, 새로운 진입로의 개설 등과 같은 방안을 제안하였다.
