Purpose: The underdog effect refers to a positive attitude towards the underdog who lacks resources and opportunities but has passion and determination. Extensive research has been investigated how the underdog effect affects distributing consumer preference and purchase intention. The purpose of this study is to identify the theoretical basis on which the underdog effect is grounded by analysing the prior research in the underdog literature. Research design, data and methodology: This study organizes the literature on the underdog effect by analyzing a total of 33 journals published in the past 16 years. Constructs and variables were extracted from the selected articles through the content analysis on a systematic literature review. Results: This literature review reveals that identity theories served as an overarching theoretical lens when examining the underdog effect. Additionally, the underdog effect was rooted in theories of justice and equity to explain the relationship between underdog brand positioning and consumer preference. Conclusions: This paper paves the way for future research based on prior research and trend analysis of underdog brand positioning. This article also provides an insightful interpretation and synthesis of the theoretical underpinnings of the impact of underdog effects on consumers' overall brand evaluations.

This study focuses on a better understanding of the importance of risk perception in adopting Mobile Payment Systems (MPS) by conducting a systematic literature review. From the social science field (using Scopus and Web of Science database) articles were selected. Overall, forty-four significant pieces were determined using a systematic methodology. In addition to providing a summary of the most used theories used to address perceived risk in MPS this paper also investigates the definition for the perceived risk in MPS literature. The study is performed through the identification of dominant theories used to explain perceived risk in the literature. The article gives a thematic analysis of theories and the relation of perceived risk with behavioural intention. As far as we know, this is the first effort of its kind to give a holistic, systematic literature review in light of perceived risk in MPS. Consequently, it is a crucial first step in establishing a solid theoretical framework involving the constructs of perceived risk and laying the groundwork for future research in this area.

The learning effect is one of the theoretical frameworks that examine the mechanisms of the deployment of energy technologies. The objective of this paper is to provide a theoretical overview and a critical analysis of the literature on the experience curve for energy technology. For these objectives, we review a couple of theoretical aspects and applications and investigate the sources of learning and cost reductions to grasp the mechanisms of teaming effect. Finally we conclude some insights from our theoretical reviews.

The main object of this study was to clarify the concept, scheme, an dimensions of the clothing evaluatie criteria, and to organize its theoretical framework accordingly. The research was carried out in tow ways. The first research was investigated by the critical evaluation of the existing literature, while the other research was investigated by an empirical survey study. The questionnaire was developed for the empirical study. The questionnaire was administered to 640 housewives living in Seoul area during the fall of 1988. Social wear was selected according to the defined times, place, and occasion. As a result of the literature study, the first research problem, the clothing evaluative criteria was loud to exist at three different level - benefit level, element level, and intemediate level -. The colthing evaluative criteria at the benefit le·eel were loud to include four different dimensions-fashionbility, status symbolism, practicality, and economy. The validity of the benefit dimensions was established by the empirical confirmation utilizing factor analysis technique.

Nursing majors are a combination of theoretical and practical education, and since the advisor cannot participate in all practices in clinical practice, the efficiency and effectiveness of practical education are limited in judging the results according to students' reactions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the domestic literature on the efficiency of clinical practice of nursing college students.The analysis target was selected through PRISMA flow, and the results were derived through categorization and questioning based on content analysis. Looking at the results, research related to the adaptation of trainees was mainstream, and specifically, research related to the characteristics, conflicts, clinical practice environment, and interpersonal anguish of trainees was conducted. In addition, it was confirmed that active and systematic intervention of practical guidance professors was required, such as possible safety accidents, emotional labor problems, and dilemmas during the practice period. Through this study, it is suggested that a systematic framework for nursing and clinical practice should be prepared.

The article is devoted to current problems of the concept leadership. The essence of the concept of "leadership" is considered and leadership theories. The authors of the article conducted a multifaceted analysis of leadership theories, analyzed the factors of their formation and identified their relationship. Also, the reasons for the difference and connection between leadership and leadership. Styles were presented leadership and their role in building effective leadership. To form the basis of effective leadership was compared to the main criteria inherent in this theories. The following research methods were used in the work: theoretical (analysis of regulatory documents and scientific literature on the problem under study, comparison, generalization, modeling), empirical (diagnostics of the level of formation of managerial competencies of students of the system, questioning, observation, peer review, comparative qualitative and quantitative analysis of diagnostic results the level of formation of managerial competencies).

During the recent years, resistance mechanisms of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings against progressive collapse are investigated extensively. Although a general agreement is observed about their qualitative behavior in technical literature, there is not such a comprehensive point of view regarding the quantitative methods for predicting collapse resistance of RC members. Therefore, in the present study a simplified theoretical method is developed in order to predict general behavior of RC frames under the column removal scenario. In the introduced method, the robustness of the frame is extracted based on the capacity of the beams. The proposed method expresses ultimate arching and catenary capacities of the beams and also obtains the corresponding vertical displacements. Based on the calculated capacities, the introduced method also provides a quantitative assessment of structural robustness and determines whether or not the collapse occurs. The capability of the method is evaluated using experimental results in the literature. The evaluation study indicates that the proposed theoretical procedure can establish a reliable foundation for progressive collapse assessment of RC frame structures.

This article describes the latest development of a generic approach to detecting emerging trends and transient in scientific literature. The work makes substantial theoretical and methodological contributions to progressive Information analysis. A specialty is conceptualized as a time variant duality research front concepts in information science. A research front is defined as an emergent and transient grouping of concepts and underlying research issues. The contributions of the approach is that the nature of an intellectual base is algorithmically and temporally identified by emergent research-front terms. The modeling process is implemented in RADERS, and applied to the analysis of telecommunication field. Practical implications of the work are discussed. A number of challenges and opportunities for future studies are identified.

The research in the literature review on Internet of Things (IoT) adoption from an individual consumer viewpoint is minimal and has not yet been fully investigated. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to analyze the growth of IoT in recent years and to conduct a weight analysis of the factors that affect acceptance intentions and real usage of IoT-enabled services. For the review, we analyzed 87 publications from 13 conferences and 54 journals published during the period 2014-2020 about consumer adoption of IoT. Following the study, we discovered an unprecedented increase in the number of articles published in the last seven years, which points to an emerging area with an enormous prospect. Furthermore, the weight analysis outcome was associated with the diagrammatic representation in this study. After that, this research developed a generalized consumer IoT adoption model based on the 12 best predictors derived from frequency count and weight analysis, which had the highest predictive power for calculating IoT adoption. This paper further acknowledges the study's theoretical and practical contributions, as well as its shortcomings, and proposes further research directions for future researchers.

This paper interrogates the theoretical foundations of Cross-Cultural Studies across the Social Sciences through an examination of the field ELT. Through an examination of ELT's major theoretical and pedagogical moves, this paper illustrates how ELT is by nature a field of cross-Cultural Studies. A closer examination of the history of ELT shows how the colonial genesis of the field indicates a skewed representation of power between native English speaking nations and non-native speaking nations both in terms of academic theories and pedagogies, as well as socio-cultural relations of power. A further analysis of how the field theorizes and represents various relations of power between disparate cultures in ELT literature explicates the dilemma of the objectivity and neutrality of Cross-Cultural research in ELT. In doing so, the analyses included in this paper thus necessarily raises questions regarding the theoretical foundations of research methodologies of Cross-Cultural Studies in terms of the reflexivity of researchers and the problematic of how, or if, relations of power are included in the studies. This paper questions whether studies that do not include these research perspectives properly represent the disparate cultures under study, or are more of a biased, or Orientalized (Said, 1979) interpretation of cultures.
