성인의 반복독서 경험에 관한 연구 - 전북대학교 평생교육원 학생들을 중심으로 - (Repeated Reading Experiences of Adults: Centered on Lifelong Education Center Students at Chonbuk National University)

  • 본 연구에서는 성인이 어떤 도서를 반복적으로 읽는지, 성별 및 연령별로 어떤 차이가 있는지 등 성인의 반복독서 행태에 관하여 밝히고자 한다. 평생교육원에 재학 중인 성인을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 그들의 반복독서 경험에 관해 조사하여 분석하였다. 통계 분석 결과 밝혀진 중요한 사실은 다음과 같다. 1) 대부분의 성인이 반복독서 경험을 가지고 있고, 여성이 남성보다 반복독서경험 비율이 약간 높으며 연령대별로는 큰 차이가 없다. 2) 평균적으로 개인별 총 반복독서 횟수는 여성이 남성보다 많고, 연령별로 보면 40대 연령층이 많다. 3) 도서를 반복하여 읽는 경우에 반복 횟수는 2회가 가장 많고 이어서 3회가 많다. 성별로 분석할 경우 반복독서의 횟수가 증가할수록 여성의 비율이 남성의 비율보다 높고 연령대별로는 큰 차이가 없다. 4) 전체의 절반 이상이 가장 기억에 남는 도서를 다독한다. 5) 다독자수와 함께 반복독서 횟수까지 감안하여 중요도를 평가한 결과 가장 중요도가 높은 도서는 <어린왕자>, <삼국지>, <아낌없이 주는 나무>, <그리스 로마 신화>, <나의 라임오렌지나무>, <무소유> 등이다. 6) 대부분 즐거움이나 교훈을 얻고자 반복독서를 하고 있다.

고대(古代) 건물지(建物址)의 조영척도(造營尺度)에 관한 고찰(考察) -미륵사 동.서 금당지를 중심으로- (A Study on the Ancient Scale of Measurement Unit Employed in Buildings and Their Sites -Focused on the East and West buildings and their sites of 'Kum-dang' in 'Mi-ruk Sa' temple-)

  • In spite of the increasing significance on a scale of building measurement unit and its system having been used in many areas of architecture, only a few researchers carried out the studies on a specific period. It is even harder to find a research results dealt in view of architecture. This research gives a focus on different types of scales employed in the ancient buildings and their sites, based on the research results of unit scale or scales found in recent excavations. After the review of literature on the scales widely used in the ancient times and of the various types of scales excavated archeologically, a kind of scale unit system that had been widely and extensively employed throughout the period of 'Three Kingdoms' could be revealed. The scale system is possibly able to be applied to estimate the exact scale of buildings and their sites as well in that era. The research results show that the scale and its system employed in the East and West buildings and their sites of 'Kum-dang' in 'Mi-ruk Sa' temple are different from 'Kokuryo' scale that was believed in to be used in the temple. Contrary to the suggestion by excavation report on the type of scale employed in the buildings their sites, a scale of 29 centimeters, similar to that of Tang, was employed. It was also found that one module consists of three 'Chuk's of 88.8 centimeters. Based on this scale system, we could conclude that three modules of the buildings on the front and two and half modules of them on the sides were explained by this scale and its system.

  • After the period of the Three Kingdoms Korean transportation architecture had been changed from the characteristics of the administration organization supporting the kings ruling system and gradually the characteristics as transportation architecture had cleared and diversified in accordance with the functions and characteristics of it. With this it was found that Korean transportation architecture like YukSa(驛舍), ChamYuk(站驛), GaekSa(客舍), JinSa(津舍), DoSa(渡舍), WonWoo(院字), JuMak(酒幕) and etc. had been developed variously and the architectural characteristics had developed with the functions and characteristics of transportation architecture. Some of them ,for example YukSa, ChamYuk, GaekSa, JinSa, DoSa, had the characteristics of the government office, so they had fundamental dignity of Korean wooden architecture on tile roof. But the WonWoo which was used by all of the people from the king to the people, had the characteristics of half-government and half-private. And the space of WonWoo was divided by the social position, the sex and the difference of temperature between summer and winter. And it was mostly located at the place away from the haunts of men, the form of it was the mud wall hut of the straw-thatched cottage like Sinhyewon of Mungyungsaejae and it was different from the station building of the characteristics of government office.

우리나라 사찰건축(寺刹建築)의 입지(立地)와 교통(交通)의 연관성(聯關性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Relation between the Location of the Korean Buddhist Temples and Transportation)

  • There is an opinion that Korean Buddhist Temples located in mountains(山地寺刹) should be built since the Secret Buddhism was introduced and the Zen Buddhism was widely distributed over But, Korean Buddhist temples were already in the mountains before the introduction of Zen Bluddhism. Moreover, Zen Buddhist temples were actually not located at mountainous region, but located at plain area in mountains. Thus it is necessary to modify the idea of that the location of temples were only under the influence of Secret Buddhism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the location of the Korean Buddhist Temples and transportation. The results of this study are as follows; Based on the legends originated from the buddhist temples, the traditional maps, and the political situations, it has been disclosed that the locations of Korean Buddhist Temples have the relations with the traffic roads. Therefore politically, militarily, and socially, the Korean Buddhist Temples have played important roles since the Three Kingdoms. The Buddhist temples need lodging facilities called Won-Woo for the ordinary people, due to change of the characteristics of the Buddhism in Korea from politically to socially. But the lodging facilities stood apart from main region for the ascetic exercise of the Buddhist priests.

한국인의 점풍속(占風俗)과 『점찰경(占察經)』에 나타난 점(占)의 역할 (The Role of Fortunetelling in the Manners and Customs of Koreans and "Scripture of Fortunetelling(『占察經』)")

  • This study is for the understanding of the role of fortunetelling and the "Scripture of Fortunetelling(占察經)" through the relationship between the manners and customs of Koreans and the Buddhist Scripture dealing with the fortunetelling. It is meaningful to understand how it is related with Buddhism. As a result, I perceived that Koreans have lived with fortunetelling and that the role of fortunetelling in from private person to the country. I saw there were four big roles; to clean the uncertainty of the future to fulfill the expectations, to confirm the justice of what he or she did, to cure, and to choice. Looking into "Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms(三國遺事)", I see that the Scripture of Fortunetelling and the ceremony of fortunetelling was popular and those great monks such as Wongwang, Wonhyo, Jinpyo and Jihye presided these ceremonies. The structure of the "Scripture of Fortunetelling(占察經)" has the hierarchy of Fortunetelling, Penance, Practice, Awakening, and Salvation of the world. So fortunetelling motivated every stage of practice. The role of fortunetelling in "Scripture of Fortunetelling(占察經)" is to intermediate. For this purpose it divided the attitude for the fortunetelling into two categories; for the urgent real life and just for enjoying. But they seriously dealt with both results. They used the fortunetelling in order to accomplish the ultimate purpose of Buddhism. So the fortunetelling is a mean of propagation of Buddhism and a intermediary of awakening and salvation.

온돌에 대한 역사적 고찰 (A Historical Study of Ondol)

  • In Korean housing designs reflect uniqueness as a result of the influence of regional and atmospheric factors. In this regard, the early use of the hot floor (ondol) system is of special significance. This system is still in use today, not only for house-heating purposes in the homes of commoners, but also for cooking in the kitchen. The present study represents an investigation of the ondol structure since its earliest known usage. Methodology involves a documentary examination of the system. In point of time, this begins with the system's earliest usage and proceeds chronnologically down to the end of the Yi Dynasty. Research indicates that something very much like the ondol system appeared in the early tribal society of Mahan and its usage continued in the state of Koguryo (during the Three Kingdoms Period) in the homes of the poor. This unique system which had its origin in cold northern areas was utilized on a much broader basis during the Koryo Dynasty. Coming down to the Yi Dynasty it found acceptance and application in all parts of the peninsula. Variations in major component parts of the structure, such as the fuel hole, the flue, the draft , and the chimney, normally reflect regional dissimilarities. It is perhaps most significant that here-in contrast to other devices we have a system that serves concurrently for both heating and cooking purposes.

진도 남도석성의 주거환경특성에 관한 기초조사연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Housing Environment at Namdo Castle in Chindo)

  • Namdo castle located in Namdong-ri, Imhoi-myon, Chindo-kun Cholla South Province is 610 meters long 5.3 meters high, and 20,000 square meters wide. This castle hasn't an accurate built year record. But there is still a great possibility of its having been built in the Sam-kuk (Three Kingdoms) era (around A.D. 300∼700). This castle seems to have been enlarged after 1438 because Manho-pu (lower unit of government office in Chosun dynasty) in Namdopo first appeared in the 20th year of King Sejong's reign. The main office, guest rooms, official residency of the castle were removed during the Japanese colonial rule and the land of the castle was sold separately for housing in the name of liquidation of Korean history. Thus, the Namdo castle that served as a naval base to defeat the Japan-based pirates' invasions throughout the Chosun period disappeared. As of Oct. 2000. 28 houses including a town hall occupy the site of the castle and are expected to be removed according to the restoration program of the castle. In this thesis, I'd like to study about the characteristics of housing in the site of the castle. To figure out the direction of the restoration program. I interviewed a few relating public officials in Chindo County Office. To examine the characteristics of housing, I surveyed the residents for the surrounding of housing.

한국 전통목가구 평상(平床) 연구 I (A Study on Traditional Korean Furniture, PyeongSang I)

  • This study explores PyeongSang, a piece of traditional Korean furniture, in order to make people know the details about what the piece is in the first paper. And based on the paper, PyeongSang will be developed as moulded multi-useful beds and sofas adapting the joint and ornament from the structure and pattern of the piece in the next paper. As the result, it appeared as two styles such as bed types mentioned as SalPyeongSang and ttulmaru in Korean. The pieces have been used from the three Kingdoms period in Korean history. The styles appeared as the structure of four parts with the lower fences called as nangan, the seats jointed by thin wood pieces, the wind hole, and the legs of foot types. The parts were beautifully carved with the ornament such as lattice patterns like geokjamun and manjamun, flower patterns like dangchomun, elephant eyes patterns like ansangmun from the Korean tradition. And the legs showed various shapes such as supports transformed from horse foots, tiger legs and bamboo, and board types carved with elephant eyes and geometric patterns. Hence, in the next paper based on this paper, PyeongSang will be developed as moulded multi-useful beds and sofas adapting the joints and ornaments from the structure and patterns of the piece.

우리나라 종이접기 공예품에 대한 역사적 고찰 (Historical Review on the Korean Paper Folding Crafts)

  • The history of paper folding had continued before that the paper manufacturing technique was spread in the 3rd century and it was used for witchcrafts and rituals. Fold means as was used with the word Cheop and Jeopji. In the Three Kingdoms period, the conical hat with fabric spread as customs, then it was made of the paper that led the popularization of paper folding form the early Joseon Dynasty. Paper crafts and living things with paper are mostly derived from fabrics except the paper written for saint's name related God. In the period of the tribe nation, witchcrafts and rituals brought to Japan via the Korean Peninsula, as a result Kami which means God in Japanese that becomes the paper. The first folding fan was made to develop from the fan, Baekseopsun in the end of Goryeo Dynasty. It was an outstanding application of paper folding crafts. Since the early Joseon Dynasty, paper flower folding has considered as the virtue of savings and has developed one of the Korean traditional paper arts. Paper folding has also developed in the practical uses like the other Korean paper arts but paper folding that was developed as seasonal customs, playing or religious purpose showed a different trend from Korean paper arts.

중국 초기 불교사원 배치에 관한 연구 - 후한(後漢)부터 남북조(南北朝)까지의 문헌을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Layout of Early Chinese Buddhist Temples - Focusing on the Literature from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties -)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the layout of Early Chinese Buddhist Temples from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties. The results are as follows: 1) In the Eastern Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms Period, the layout of Temples was a pagoda-centered system which had one-courtyard. The layout of Temples in this period was still under the influence of Indian Temples. 2) In the Western and Eastern Jin Dynasties, the layout of Temples was still a pagoda-centered system. However, many buildings began to appear in Temples after the mid-4th century. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Twin pagodas started to appear in Temples. 3) In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there were many layout types, but the main form was the layout of front Pagoda and rear Buddhist Hall. The layout of Temples in this period was in a transition stage, which evolved from a pagoda-centered Temple which had one-courtyard and after developed into a Buddhist Hall-centered Temple which had multi-courtyard.
