  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of European middle class, ethos to costume. This study is concerned with historic situation about enlightment and French revolution, and the change process of costume before and after the French Revolution. In order to investigate the relationship, this studies include the phenomenon of costume in the basis of thoughts of the age (enlightment), political event (French revolution) and social system (middle classes). The Influence of enlightment to costume of man and children were which emphasized practical aspect. Children costume was developed independently from costume of adult before French revolution. French revolution played a roll in silhouette, color, texture of costume for man. Especially pantalons which names Sans-culotte generalized as modern clothing for man. Women freed from corset because of the influence of neo-classicism for a while. However, costume of woman did not change much because women were excluded from of enlightment.

영구임대주택의 현금흐름을 고려한 리모델링 시기 추정에 관한 연구 (The Prediction of Remodelling Timing Based on the Cash Flow of Permanent Rental Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to predict remodeling timing of Permanent Rental Housing through historic data and cash flow analysis. For this aim, the study has estimated cash flow of Permanent Rental Housing considering initial construction costs, government supporting fund, rental incomes and maintenance expenses. Based on the expected cash flow analysis, reasonable remodeling timing is predicted for Permanent Rental Housing. The results of this study are as follows: (1) it is analyzed that building a8e of about 27 years is the best time for remodeling because cumulative surplus amounts reach maximum level, (2) it is required that remodeling should be made before 34 years of age roughly because cumulative surplus amounts change into minus from this time.

중국 고대의 우의(雨衣)에 대한 사적(史的) 고찰 (A Study on Rain Coat in Ancient China)

  • This research studies how a rain coat (兩衣) had developed in ancient China by searching through historic records. It can be said that people in ancient China wore two kinds of rain coats: straw coat and oiled-cloth coat (油衣). Straw coat was originally used in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States period. Then, people used natural grasses to make it. As the overall production had increased, various kinds of rain coats began to appear in Tang (唐) Dynasty, and the straw coat itself became elaborate. In Song (宋) and Yuan (元) Dynasty, the straw coat was used for the army, and when it came to be Ming (明) and Qing (淸) age, wearing it was considered a symbol of hermit. The straw coat shows the early form in the history of clothing, which was mostly put on by the poor. The material for straw coat was the grass which grows up in wet land area. People in the city and in the country had worn the straw coat for a long time. As foreign cultures were introduced, however, it disappeared first in cities and later in the country. The oiled-cloth coat was another of the kind. Its major material was water-proofed silk in the Qin(泰) and Han(漢) Dynasty. Also, it was a favorite of an emperor or aristocrats. Common people put on straw coat until the time the western rain coat was introduced and accepted in Qing Dynasty.

Facial Bone Fracture Patients Visiting Pusan National University Hospital in Busan and Yangsan: Trends and Risks

  • Purpose: This study examined patients with facial bone fracture visiting Pusan National University Dental Hospital to understand the trends, and to enhance appropriate care and treatment for patients with facial bone fracture. Methods: We investigated 531 patients presenting with facial bone fracture in Yangsan and 802 patients in Busan from January 2010 to December 2013. We divided the patients by year, month, gender, age, site, and cause to compare with historic data and other studies. Results: The gender ratio was 3.58:1 in Yangsan and 4.31:1 in Busan. Patients aged in their 20s had the highest number of facial bone fractures in both Yangsan and Busan. The most frequent fracture site was the mandible, and the most frequent cause was slip down in both Yangsan and Busan. Conclusion: The investigation and comparison of patients with facial bone fracture who visited Pusan National University Hospital located at Yangsan and Busan from 2010 to 2013 found a difference in the total number of patients at each hospital, but the trends were not significantly different.

  • The purpose of this study was to research and design stage costumes of Whangjinie focusing on inner image of Whangjinie, present stage costumes of new image. Four steps were taken in order to achieve this purpose. The first step was to investigate the old documents and prior research about literature world of Whangjinie. The second step was to analyze stage costumes of Whangjinie which were worn in opera, movie. The third step was to design and make the stage costumes according to new images Whangjinie which were extracted from above two research results. The new images of Whangjinie are as follows 1. Whangjinie as a kisaeng(professional entertainer) She thirsted for new, materialistic love though she failed in love everytime. 2. Whangjinie as a woman. She had a hard time by feeling an irresistible yearning for lover 3. Whangjinie as a poet. She expressed as a poetry her vanity and loneliness of life. Using above three images, this study designed four new stage costumes of Whangjinie and two designs of them were made really. But this study didn't present historic costume of her age but expressed modern mood in color and form.

  • 본 연구에서는 동굴의 민속학적인 접근을 통해 선조들이 어떤 용도로 동굴을 이해하고 활용했는지 주거지로서의 동굴, 그리고 동굴관련 신화와 설화, 속담과 민간신앙, 생활민속으로서의 동굴의 이용을 통해 파악해보고자 하였다. 선사시대 동굴에서 주로 주거 및 식생활을 하였음을 고고학 자료를 통해 파악해 볼 수 있었고, 동굴관련 단군신화가 있어 동굴의 의미를 되새길 수 있으며 동굴마다 신비경과 관련된 동굴 설화가 많아 동굴에 대한 이해를 깊게 하고 있고, 미지의 세계와 관련한 속담, 기도처ㆍ수양처로서의 동굴, 또 현대 생활민속과 관련하여 식품 저장소로서, 군사시설로써의 활용뿐만 아니라, 유희공간인 관광지로써 현대에는 크게 각광받고 있다.

앤드로지너스 이미지를 응용한 남성 셔츠 디자인 (Men's Shirts Design Applying the Androgynous Image)

  • This study aims to express the androgynous image via shirts as a fashion item. Shirts are widely worn as a fashion item regardless of sex and age, with growing importance as a casual outer, with the increase in leisure activities driven by the recent implementation of the 5-Day Work Week system in Korea. As for the theoretical background, the study was reviewed previous studies of books, thesis, a series of publication, and the Internet sites on this topic. Through a careful analysis of these previous studies, it designed and made shirts that inspired by androgynous image. Conclusions of this study are as follows: First, the study found that meanings of symbolism in clothing continue to change, not fixed at all, depending on historic and cultural environments, and so does symbolism for femininity and masculinity of clothing. Second, shirts are widely worn as a fashion item regardless of sex and age, with growing importance as a casual outer, with the increase in leisure activities driven by the recent implementation of the 5-Day Work Week system in Korea. Third, two patters were used for the work in this study in order to emphasize its form, along with mono color white and stripe patterns. For materials, cotton and blend as a most basic material for a shirt were used with unique variations in the form. Fourth, decorative details or trimming such as ribbon tying methods, shirring, attaching in layers, and irregular pleading widely used for women's wear were applied, and silhouettes with strong drape feelings were used to add feminine feature to men' shirts, in an effort to propose a fashion design of the androgynous look. Fifth, clothes proposed in this study are different from feminine clothing item blouse, because they are androgynous shirts mixing masculinity and femininity. Stiff pads were used in collars and cuffs characteristics of men's traditional shirts to maintain masculinity of a shirt, and design was developed by adding feminine decorative elements, which is different from women's blouse.

패션 전달수단의 역사적 변천 연구 (A Study about the Historic Changes of Fashion Delivery Methods)

  • By delivery means of fashion information, fashion dolls appeared in 18th century. According to development of printing, delivery means of fashion information changed from fashion dolls to fashion plates. Fashion plates offer a colorful and in depth view of the stylish fashions of the past. First fashion plate was Hollars print that was inserted to $\ulcorner$La Galerie des Modes et Costumes Francais$\lrcorner$ and that was published at England in 1643. First fashion plate in France could assumes as winter deshabill that was inserted to $\ulcorner$Le Mercure Galant$\lrcorner$ in 1678. The widespred publication of fashion plates began in England and France in the late 18th century. The first true fashion magazine $\ulcorner$The Ladys Magazine$\lrcorner$ was published at London in 1770. And suddenly similar plates were being published all over Europe. Fashion plates reached their height of popularity in the mid-1800s. Modern age in Europe for fashion magazines golden age, hundreds kinds of fashion magazines published in Europe. Copyright laws in Europe were not enforced, resulting in widespread piracy of fashion designs and plates. Ultimate strength performance of tankers associated with industry corrosion addition practices

  • In the ship and offshore structure design, age-related problems such as corrosion damage, local denting, and fatigue damage are important factors to be considered in building a reliable structure as they have a significant influence on the residual structural capacity. In shipping, corrosion addition methods are widely adopted in structural design to prevent structural capacity degradation. The present study focuses on the historical trend of corrosion addition rules for ship structural design and investigates their effects on the ultimate strength performance such as hull girder and stiffened panel of double hull oil tankers. Three types of rules based on corrosion addition models, namely historic corrosion rules (pre-CSR), Common Structural Rules (CSR), and harmonised Common Structural Rules (CSR-H) are considered and compared with two other corrosion models namely UGS model, suggested by the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS), and Time-Dependent Corrosion Wastage Model (TDCWM). To identify the general trend in the effects of corrosion damage on the ultimate longitudinal strength performance, the corrosion addition rules are applied to four representative sizes of double hull oil tankers namely Panamax, Aframax, Suezmax, and VLCC. The results are helpful in understanding the trend of corrosion additions for tanker structures.

중국, 일본, 미국 여행자의 쇼핑만족도가 여행만족도 및 여행후행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Shopping Satisfaction on China, Japan and US Tourists' Travel Satisfaction and Post-tour Behavior)

  • This study was performed to investigate shopping behavior of Chinese, Japanese, and US tourists in Korea. For this purpose, travel activities and shopping items were identified first. And thereafter the shopping satisfaction, travel satisfaction, intention to word-of-mouth, and intention to re-visit were compared by country, gender and age. Finally, the effect of shopping satisfaction on travel evaluations as well as the effect of demographics on shopping satisfaction were examined. Secondary data were used for this survey, while ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and regression analysis were applied to analyze data. The results were listed below. First, main travel activities were shopping, followed by enjoying natural scenery and visiting historic sites. Apparel, cosmetics, leather goods, and shoes were major shopping products. Chinese and Japanese tourists preferred cosmetics and apparel most, while US travellers bought lots of apparel and shoes. Men and older tourists tended to buy food products more than women and younger people did. Second, degree of shopping satisfaction significantly differed by country and age. The US tourists showed highest satisfaction, followed by Japanese and Chinese ones. Younger people tended to be satisfied more than older people significantly. In terms of travel satisfaction and intention for word-of-mouth, the US tourists, women, and younger people revealed higher scores than the other counterparts. Intention to re-visit Korea were significantly different, based on country and gender, showing higher for the US people and women. Third, shopping satisfaction was found to affect travel satisfaction, intention for word-of- mouth, and intention to revisit Korea significantly. In turn, travel satisfaction was also shown significantly to affect on intention for word-of-mouth, and intention to re-visit Korea.
