A Trend Analysis on E-sports using Social Big Data

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to understand a trend of esports in terms of gamers' and fans' perceptions toward esports using social big data. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, researchers first selected keywords related to esports. Then a total of 10,138 buzz data created at twitter, Facebook, news media, blogs, café and community between November 10, 2022 and November 19, 2023 were collected and analyzed with 'Textom', a big data solution. Results: The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the news data's main articles were about competitions hosted by local governments and policies to revitalize the gaming industry. Secondly, As a result of esports analysis using Textom, there was a lot of interest in the adoption of the Hangzhou Asian Games as an official event and various esports competitions. As a result of the sentiment analysis, the positive content was related to the development potential of the esports industry, and the negative content was a discussion about the fundamental problem of whether esports is truly a sport. Thirdly, As a result of analyzing social big data on esports and the Olympics, there was hope that it would be adopted as an official event in the Olympics due to its adoption as an official event in the Hangzhou Asian Games. Conclusions: There was a positive opinion that the adoption of esports as an official Olympic event had positive content that could improve the quality of the game, and a negative opinion that games with actions that violate the Olympic spirit, such as murder and assault, should not be adopted as an official Olympic event. Further implications were discussed.

평창동계올림픽 사후 관광객 재유치 방안에 관한 연구 -국내외 유명 축제를 중심으로- (A Study on the Re-attraction of Tourists after the PyeongChang Winter Olympics -Focus on domestic and international famous festivals-)

  • 본 연구는 평창 동계올림픽 이후 올림픽 배후시설을 활용하여 평창지역축제와 연계한 관광객 재유치 방안에 관한연구로서 국내외 성공적인 축제사례분석을 통하여 지역축제 발전방향 제안에 목적이 있다. 1차연구 방법으로는 선행사례 및 문헌연구로 국내외 유명축제 사례를 분석하였으며 2차적으로 통계청, 문화관광부 등 통계자료를 활용하여 내용을 보완하였다. 따라서 사례분석을 통해 도출한 축제 전략의 필수적 요인을 올림픽 배후시설과 활용과 연계하여 기존 평창지역의 송어 축제 및 눈꽃축제에 도입하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 올림픽 배후시설 활용도 증가와 지역축제 발전과 더불어 나아가 평창의 지역경제 활성화에도 이바지할 수 있다. 또한, 본 연구를 바탕으로 평창동계 올림픽 이후에 지역 축제를 통한 관광객 재유치 방안을 위한 참고 자료로 사용될 것을 기대하며, 이후에 진행될 후속연구에 도움이 되길 기대한다.

올림픽 엠블럼에 나타난 국가아이덴티티 (National Identity Reflected in the Olympic Emblems)

  • 글로벌 사회가 도래됨에 따라 국가의 이미지가 이전보다 더 중요시 되었다. 국가경쟁력이 더욱 중요시되는 현시점에서 현대사회의 가장 큰 국제적 행사인 올림픽은 세계인의 평화와 화합의장으로서 뿐만 아니라 개최국의 과학과 기술, 문화 예술의 총체적 역량을 보여줄 수 있는 기회의 장이라는 측면에서 그 중요성이 날로 부각되고 있다. 성공적인 올림픽으로 국가의 이미지를 긍정적으로 확립할 수 있으며 올림픽 엠블럼은 성공적인 올림픽을 만드는 핵심 비주얼아이덴티티 요소이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 엠블럼이 국제사회에서 국가의 아이덴티티를 표현하는 중요한 비주얼매개체라는 점에 근거하여 올림픽 엠블럼에 관하여 연구하고자 한다. 올림픽 엠블럼에 나타난 개최국의 아이덴티티 적용사례를 살펴보고 모티브와 표현에 따른 국가아이덴티티 유형을 도출하였다. 또 도출된 유형을 내부지향과 외부지향의 관점에서 경향을 분석하고 국가아이덴티티를 표현한 엠블럼에서 중요시되는 특성을 파악하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과물은 국가브랜드 관점에서 한국가의 존재감을 나타내는 표현수단인 올림픽 엠블럼에 나타난 국가아이덴티티 유형을 이해하고 향후 국가아이덴티티를 반영한 엠블럼 제작 시 효과적인 국가아이덴티티 전략 수립을 위한 기초자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

실물크기형 봅슬레이 트랙 Mock-up Test 시공방법 및 내구성 평가 (Construction Method and Durability Evaluation of Mock-up Test for Bobsleigh Track)

  • 본 연구는 동계올림픽의 대표적인 종목인 봅슬레이 경기장 건설을 위한 봅슬레이 트랙 실물크기 모형제작 방법 및 내구성 평가이다. 봅슬레이 경기는 속도감이 엄청나고 그 위험성 또한 대단히 높아 선수의 안전을 위한 안전설계와 고성능 숏크리트를 이용한 정밀 시공이 필수적이다. 또한 봅슬레이 트랙은 다양한 커브와 경사로 이루어져 있어 일반 거푸집 시공이 어렵고, 고강도 고내구성 재료를 통한 시공이 필요하다. 본 연구를 통해 개발 된 봅슬레이 트랙 실물크기 모형제작 방법 및 내구성 평가는 2018 평창 동계 올림픽 슬라이딩 센터 및 봅슬레이 트랙 건설을 국내기술력으로 시공하기 위함 이다.

기후모형(GCMs)에 기반한 2018년 평창 동계올림픽 적설량 및 수문모의 (GCMs-Driven Snow Depth and Hydrological Simulation for 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics)

  • 평창유역의 적설량을 모의하기 위하여 HSPF 모형을 적용하였다. 미래 적설량을 평가하기 위해 CIMIP3에서 제공하는 A1, A1B, B1의 온실가스 배출시나리오에 기반한 GCMs를 이용하였으며, HSPF 모형과 GCMs의 통계학적 오류를 최소화 하기 위해 편의보정(Bias-correction)과 시간적 분해모형(Temporal disaggregation)을 적용하였다. 모형의 검 보정 결과 모의된 유출량과 적설량의 경우 모형 효율이 높게 나타났으며, 특히 모형의 검정 후 상관계수를 분석한 결과 월별 유출량의 상관계수는 0.94로 나타났다. 월별 적설량, 또한, 상관계수가 0.91로 나타나 보정된 HSPF 모형이 평창지역에 대한 유출량과 적설량을 잘 모의하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. GCMs를 이용한 2018년 평창올림픽 경기장의 적설량을 분석한 결과 1월에는 17.62%, 2월에는 9.38%, 3월에는 7.25%의 적설량이 감소되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • If the architecture will made the focus of real user for convenience, it must be the real user, which is the multiple specified persons, more over, the most disadvantages side person will be considered that would be the convenient architecture for all. This principle of universal design has been started the latest 1950's, in USA, Sweden, Canada has considered to the disabled person in the concept of universal design, at 1960's. In case of our country, after 1988's handicapped Olympics, the induction of universal design is started to adapt in the era of architecture. Nowadays, in the group of study, their research, presentation increasing the example, which is carried out the enthusiasm of legislatiov. But we are much as far behind the senior nation, in regard to the lack of the vouluntary participating as the professional. This study is to analyze the principle, concept of Universal design from the department store, which is the convenient facilities, present the usable checklist in time of induction of Universal desigv.

A Study on the Characteristics of the Summer Olympic Games Mascots

  • Purpose: This study began with an interest in the meaning and importance of Olympic mascots, and this paper aimed to analyze the types and features of mascots by comparing the Summer Olympics mascots from Munich 1972 to Tokyo 2020 and ultimately to understand the attributes of the Summer Olympic mascots. Research design, data, and methodology: The approach of this study is the exploratory approach by literature reviews. This study carried out exploratory research on thinking about understanding the characteristics of the Summer Olympic Games Mascots. Results: First, the Munich 1972 mascot, Waldi is known as the first official mascot. Second, many mascots are designed the most in animal form. But the process of change according to the material of the Olympic mascot changed from a simple animal form to a finely expressed hybrid mascot, and multiple mascots appeared in the 2000s. Conclusions: The Olympic mascot is a representative symbol of the Olympic Games, representing the identity of the host country. Five attributes of the Olympic mascots were identified: friendliness, a symbolic meaning, originality, diversity, and value. Further implications were discussed.

Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conversion : Recent Progress

  • Along with fusion energy, photovoltaic solar energy conversion has long been considered as one of the few sustainable options for large scale energy supply in the future. In the past, commercial use has been restricted largely to remote area applications where conventional electricity is expensive. However, 1998 marked a year of transition where the major application of the cells changed to become generation of residential electricity in urban areas already supplied by the conventional grid. The current state of the technology is discussed as are major overseas programs to accelerate the urban residential use of photovoltaics, particularly in Japan, Europe and the United States, includng the "million roof" program in the latter. Finally, the planned use of photovoltaics in the Sydney 2000 Olympics is described, where the technology will be used to provide most of the electricity requirements of the 665 residences which will be a legacy of the Olympic Village.

Graphical exploratory data analysis for ball games in sports

  • In this paper graphical exploratory data analyses are proposed for ball games in sports. The plot of sequence of scoring points of each team can be used to see how the playing game has been processed until the end of each set or quarter. With the plot of sequential score differences through all the games we can see a dominance of each team and the times of score changes, i.e., turnovers. The ternary plots show the contours of scoring compositions for each player and enable us to compare the scoring patterns of each team if any. Using the score sequence plot we also can see the score pattern distribution of players. For demonstration we use the results of the gold medal match between Russia and Brazil for men's volleyball and between USA and Spain for men's basketball at the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

보드세일링복의 사용실태 및 요구성능에 관한 연구 (Use Patterns and Desired Performance of Boardsailing Suits)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the use and purchase patterns, design and satisfaction degree, and desired performance of boardsailing suits. The subjects were 266 boardsailing athletes and lovers. The results were as follows; (1) The demand of boardsailing suits for spring and autumn was larger than that for the other seasons. (2) The order of influencing power in purchasing boardsailing suits was fitness, textile material, design, color, cost, and brand. (3) Preference of design was one piece style and preference of pattern was character pattern. Additionally, the study on Korean patterns was demanded for international games like Olympics. (4) The order of satisfaction degree of currently used boardsailing suits was activity, size, design, material, sewing, color, pattern, and ease of wearing and taking off. (5) For the performance of boardsailing suits materials, the estimated values of absorbency, water repellency, dye fastness, biological resistance, weight, handle, air permeability, durability, and elasticity were much lower than the importance values.
