We describe a 27-year-old man who developed gait disturbance and dysarthria 2 years after the onset of cardinal symptoms of Behcet's disease. Positron emission tomography with $^{18}F$-fluorodeoxyglucose revealed severe hypometabolisrn in the cerebellum, in accordance with cerebellar symptoms and signs of the patient. However, single-photon emission tomography with $^{99m}Tc$-HMPAO and $^{99m}Tc$-ECD did not disclose significant perfusion abnormalities in the brain. Routine brain magnetic resonance imaging did not show signal abnormalities. The findings of imaging studies compared with neurological manifestations of the patient are discussed.

목 적 : 집단생활을 하는 젊은 성인에서 발생한 폐렴에 관한 연구는 매우 드물며, 국내 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 이에 저자들은 전경 대원에서 발생한 폐렴의 양상에 대해 알아보고 Macrolide와 2세대 Cephalosporin의 치료 효과를 비교하여 보고자 전향적 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 2003년 1월부터 2004년 4월까지 국립 경찰병원을 방문한 52명의 폐렴 환자들을 무작위로 구분하여 Cefuroxime 또는 Azithromycin을 경구 투여하였다. 폐렴 원인균의 진단을 위해 각종 배양 검사와, Mycoplasma 및 Chlamydia 항체 검사를 시행하였고, 혈액 검사와 방사선 검사 등 환자에 대한 평가는 입원 이후 1주 간격으로 2주간 시행하였다. 치료시작 2주후, 항체검사를 반복하였다. 결 과 : 객담 배양 검사를 시행한 전체 52명의 환자 중 3예(5.8%)에서 양성소견을 보였으며, Streptococcus pneumoniae 2예, Klebsiella pneumoniae 1예가 배양되었다. Mycoplasma pneumoniae 항체 검사를 시행하였던 40예 중 양성으로 판정된 것은 20예(50.0%)였으며, Chlamydia pneumoniae의 경우 4예(10.8%)에서 양성 소견을 보였다. 임상 증세와 방사선 소견 모두 호전되어 치료 성공으로 간주될 수 있는 경우는 전체 52예 중 51예로서 전체적으로 98.1%의 치료 성공률을 보였으며, Azithromycin과 Cefuroxime의 치료 효과는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(96.0% vs 100%, p>0.05). Azithromycin 군 환자 중 한 예에서 초기 항생제 투여 후 임상 증세 및 흉부 방사선 소견이 호전되지 않아 항생제 처방을 변경하였으며, 2세대 세팔로스포린을 정맥 투여한 뒤 호전되었다. 결 론 : 집단생활을 하는 젊고 건강한 성인에서 발생한 폐렴에서 비정형 병원균에 의한 폐렴이 대다수를 차지하였고, 그 치료를 위해 투여한 Macrolide와 2세대 Cephalosporin 간 치료효과의 차이는 보이지 않았다.

Acoustic surveys using a scientific echosounder and trawl surveys were concurrently carried out in between Geoje and Tongyeong of the South Sea by season. The anchovy schools were identified by trawling in each station and used for frequency response analysis. Frequency responses of anchovy schools by season and species composition ratio were examined using multi-frequencies (18, 38, 70, 120 and 200 kHz). The frequency response r(f), is one of the acoustic characteristics which means the volume back-scattering strength ratio between a reference frequency and other frequencies. In spring, the r(f) of anchovy schools decreased with increased frequency, with the exception of 120kHz. While, in winter, the r(f) continuously decreased inversely proportional to the increase in frequency. Frequency response of anchovy schools presented a distinctive difference between spring and winter, however it did not different in spife of different species composition ratios in schools.

본 연구는 국내 경찰관들을 대상으로 심혈관질환의 요인을 파악함으로써 추후 경찰관들의 체계적이고 효율적인 자원관리를 위한 기초자료로 이용하고자 한다. 국립경찰병원을 방문한 경찰관을 대상으로 심혈관질환 진단을 위한 방사선 검사 중 201Tl-SPECT를 시행한 경찰관을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 흡연을 하는 사람은 비흡연자의 1.80배, 고혈압 있는 사람은 고혈압이 없는 사람의 1.63배, 고지혈증이 있는 사람은 없는 사람의 1.48배, 고밀도지단백콜레스테롤(HDL)이 낮은 사람은 정상수치인 사람의 1.82배로 심혈관질환이 높았다.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to identify the effects of self-esteem and problem focused coping on post-traumatic growth among police officers. Methods: The data were collected from the 137 police officers in ten police offices of G city in July 2014. The collected data were analyzed for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: Post-traumatic growth was positively correlated with self-esteem and problem focused coping. Self-esteem and problem focused coping had a significant effects on post-traumatic growth. The explained variance for post-traumatic growth was 19.0%. Conclusion: To improve post-traumatic growth of police officers, strategies to increase self-esteem and problem focused coping are needed.

Purpose: To analyze the risk factors and the treatment results of the distal chevron osteotomy for the hallux valgus in young adult. Materials and Methods: Eleven cases of hallux valgus in 9 patients who underwent the distal chevron osteotomy between February 2000 and January 2004 were included for the study. For the clinical evaluation, we used hallux-metatarsophalangeal interphalangeal scale of American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS). For radiological evaluation, we measured hallux valgus angle (HVA) and intermetatarsal angle (IMA). Results: Five patients had family history of hallux valgus. Symptoms were aggravated by military drill and sports activity. The average AOFAS scale was 62.5 preoperatively, and 88.4 at final follow-up. The HVA and IMA were $34.9^{\circ}$, and $15.8^{\circ}$ preoperatively, $16.3^{\circ}$ and $8.2^{\circ}$ at postoperative 6 weeks, and $19.9^{\circ}$ and $9.8^{\circ}$ at final follow-up. Conclusion: The symptoms of hallux valgus in young adults were aggravated by military drill and sports activity. Distal chevron osteotomy was useful for the treatment of the moderate to severe hallux valgus in young patients.

The nation is currently deeply dissatisfied with the corruption of power. The incumbent government promised to create a fair society without fouls and privileges. However, the public is deeply distrusted by the prosecution's investigation of the justice minister. Korean society has very low national integrity due to corruption in public offices. In the past, corruption in public offices was mostly corruption in the form of livelihood, but it has now turned into corruption in power. This paper looks into the concept and theory of corruption in public office and tries to find alternatives.

In the rapidly changing current society, the Korean National Police(KNP) is facing a lot of demands from the citizens like the protection of subject/victim rights, independence of investigation authority, disclosure of actual truth, and prevention & eradication of crimes. It is widely recognized among the Korean people and the police that the KNP is always standing for the rights of the people and it is high time that the KNP should be restored as the pioneer for the protection of human right. In this situation, the tremendous emphasis is given on the importance of investment in investigative training through the long-term master-plan in order to renovate its constitution, to level up its quality, and to cope with the highly sophisticated crime patterns. Korean police have already shown its outstanding investigative skills of identification of the deceased throughout large cases like Daegu subway arson and tsunami in Southeast Asia. In addition, the skills of cyber crime investigation are highly recognized by foreign law enforcement agencies. However, the investigative skills and abilities are being degraded and the morale of the investigative personnel are falling due to the insufficiently of the finite training budget. Lack of financial support results in the lack of training program and poor training environment, which subsequently leads to the inefficiency of training. Additionally, no long-term budget for fostering specialized investigative agents is allotted. Considering the fact that more than 95% of crimes in Korea are being primarily investigated by the Korean police, we have to understand the importance of the police. By the tremendous investment in investigative training which can lead to the high-quality investigations, the Korean police can ultimately contribute to the protection of safety and life of its people.

간암의 정맥계 침범은 흔하나 심장 침범은 드물고 예후가 불량할 뿐 아니라 급사의 위험이 있다. 본 증례처럼 간세포암이 혈관계를 통해 우심방까지 전이된 경우 노작성 호흡곤란 같은 심부전에 의한 증상을 나타낼 수 있어서 간세포암의 간외 전이를 의심하기는 쉽지 않고, 원발 병소를 찾기 위해서 여러 가지 진단적 검사를 시행하여야 한다. F-18 FDG PET/CT는 기능적으로 암세포의 당대사 항진을 3차원적인 입체 영상으로 국소화하기 때문에 비침습적이며 경제적으로 간세포암의 침범 및 간외전이를 쉽게 확인할 수 있다. 저자들은 호흡곤란을 주소로 내원한 55세 남자 환자에서 PET/CT를 통해서 간세포암과 간세포암의 우심방 침범을 진단하는데 도움을 받았기에 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
