Hypoglossal nerve palsy (HNP) is an uncommon neurological abnormality that can provoke characteristic clinical signs, including unilateral atrophy of the tongue musculature. We present the case of a healthy 11-year-old Korean male who was admitted to the outpatient department of our institution with acute onset dysarthria, tongue fasciculations, and right-sided tongue weakness upon awakening. His evaluation included a virology work-up, neck magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), brain MRI, and otorhinolaryngological physical examination; all tests were normal and showed no evidence of inflammation. Fifteen days after the onset of symptoms, the patient recovered completely. Herein, we report a case of idiopathic isolated HNP in a Korean male.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is finding out relation of somnipathy and Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈). Methods : 1. We reviewed medical literature about somnipathy and Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) . Yang-yo-maek(陽?脈). 2. We studied relation of somnipathy and Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) . Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈). Results : 1. Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈) is channel that is crossing Yin(陰) and Yang(陽). 2. The physio-pathologic phenomenons such as, 'Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈)', 'Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈)' are caused by circulatory disorder of depending qi (衛氣). 3. Sleep disoders (such as, hyposomnia, hypersomnia) are caused by the physio-pathologic phenomenon such as, 'Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈)', 'Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈)' Conclusions : 1. The period of awakening and sleeping is relative to circulation of depending qi (衛氣) and function of Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈) 2. Acupuncture therapy on Yin-gyo-maek(陰?脈) Yang-gyo-maek(陽?脈) has significant etfect to somnipathy.

P300 is widely used as a neurophysiological indicator of cognitive processing, which is known as reflecting controlled processing. MMN (mismatch negativity), early response prior to P300, is known as reflecting an early stage of information processing and having involuntary attention and automatic awakening or sensory memory. This study for normal people shows that electric potential of P300 and MMN are in close correlation (r=-0.673, p<0.05). That is, it is observed that the higher negative value electric potential of MMN measured at cerebral forehead-center has, the higher value electric potential of P300 measured at cerebral center-vertex has. This fact implies that working memory for temporary storage and operation of stimuli, and involuntary attention which constitute automatic information processing, an early stage of information processing, play a crucial role in efficient information processing. On the other hand, considering that MMN of cerebral forehead-center and P300 of cerebral center-vertex are in close correlation, it is necessary to pursue further study of cerebral parts which generate P300 and MMN in information processing.

VTS service results from VTS watchman's mind as all other human conducts. Psychological motivations are divided into 4 factors ; collective unconscious, fear, responsibility, humanity. These motivations are beginning of VTS. Motivations awaken watchman and effect all other steps of service. Out of these motivations, higher factors ; responsibility and humanity act very positively and can be best solution for safety of vessel traffic ; the purpose of coastal VTS. Therefore, VTS officers should be educated to build up these virtues in their mind.

PURPOSES : The rumble strip installed at the highway near the tollgate has the purpose to reduce the vehicle velocity or prevent sleepiness by awakening people to the danger. These rumble strip has different vibration decibel from the rumble strip shapes, resulting in some fatigue damage to human because a driver suffers from a lot of stress and displeasure. In this connection, the objective of this paper is to analyze the vibration decibel perceived by a driver in the vehicle under some conditions. METHODS : The vibration decibel conveyed from the tire can be analyzed. The frequency analysis methods were used according to DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) analysis, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis, CPB (Constant Percentage Bandwidth) analysis. But the frequency analysis method in this paper is the 1/24 OCT(Octave) band analysis because of the convenience of the analysis and the overall vibration amplitude along the frequency. RESULTS : By using the results of the vibration decibel after analyzing the 1/24 OCT band analysis, these results can be compared from some conditions (e.g., rumble strip shape, uniform velocity of a vehicle, road condition, mass of a vehicle). As a result, the numerical values of decibel are not directly proportional to the vehicle velocity. CONCLUSIONS : At the condition that a vehicle is passing by the rumble strip, the value of a vibration decibel at the rumble strip of the cylinder shape is smaller than the rumble strip of rectangular shape regardless of the rumble strip depth and width. At the mass condition, the more a vehicle is massive, the more the vibration decibel increases. At the road condition, the vibration decibel at the wet road is smaller than the value at dry road condition.

This study begins with the awareness of problem that the education of mathematics teachers has failed to link the limit and the infinite set conceptually. Thus, this study analyzes the historical and reciprocal development of the limit and the infinite set, and discusses how to improve the education of these concepts and their relation based on the outcome of this analysis. The results of the study confirm that the infinite set is the historical tool of linking the limit and the real numbers. Also, the result shows that the premise of 'the component of the straight line is a point.' had the fundamental role in the construction of the real numbers as an arithmetical continuum and that the moral certainty of this premise would be obtained through a thought experiment using an infinite set. Based on these findings, several proposals have been made regarding the teacher education of awakening someone to the fact that 'the theoretical foundation of the limit is the real numbers, and it is required to introduce an infinite set for dealing with the real numbers.' in this study. In particular, by presenting one method of constructing the real numbers as an arithmetical continuum based on a thought experiment about the component of the straight line, this study opens up the possibility of an education that could get the limit values psychologically connected to the infinite set in overcoming the epistemological obstacle related to the continuum concept.

In this study, based on the general reasoning that the higher the resolution of the HMD, the greater the presence and immersion of the audience and the greater the presence experience, the difference in the presence experience according to the resolution of the virtual reality device is verified empirically Presence effect. To do this, 300 college students were included in the population, and VR simulations of the Oculus store were conducted using HMD and mobile devices with different resolutions (HD, FHD, WQHD) as stimuli. As a result, there was a significant difference in the presence experience of the audience according to the resolution of the mobile device attached to the virtual reality HMD, and the presence effect had a significant influence on the awakening. On the other hand, no significant influence was found in the effect of emotion. Therefore, we can prove a general reasoning hypothesis that the higher the resolution of the virtual reality device, the greater the presence experience of the audience. However, since the confounding effect and the impression are contradictory in the presence effect side, additional experiments research is required.

Finality in presenting table has an important significance. A presentation method in table comes to have different directionality depending on objective and significance such as the appearance of presentation for the substantial use or the appearance of presentation for delivering message. In our life, the utility table came to have value more than what supplies nutrition. Simultaneously with it, the table came to have the significance as a place of communication. What is being indicated in a different form from this is the art table. The table-coordinate starts to occupy a position in one aesthetic sphere, aside from the functional part of having a meal and communication, and is attempting the entry as the art sphere. What two types have been researched and developed so far in the face of having clear difference is limited to the utility presentation. The utility presentation and the art presentation need to be progressed at the same time rather than being separately classified and thought. Pursuit only for utility leads to being unable to proceed with making a new thing. The art table coordinate will be able to function as the new awakening point in the position of proceeding with such table coordinate. When proceeding with maintaining the form of the existing utility table, a client fails to feel fresh. Thus, coming to give new awareness by integrating art will lead to being available effectively for creating another profit. Even the art table can apply the characteristic of the display table among characteristics of the utility table. The display table aims at creating profit through communication between buyer and seller. Thus, even through the art table, both effects called the occurrence in profit and the initiative in trend will be capable of being enjoyed totally. Accordingly, the presentation of two tables in the art table and the utility table has clearly different characteristic. However, given properly using difference in presentation of the two, the best effect will be possibly seen.

The kidney keeps with close relationship in the internal organs, that the kidney function filtering eliminate the wastes to the urine on the processing to replace the old with the new blood. In case of these problem in the kidney, there is no way to catch out with self-awakening symptom except for serious illness. This problem can solve with keeping the systematic diagnosis method in the kidney trouble shooting. Under the circumstances, the importance of the diagnosis for the kidney disease is growing day after day. In this paper, among the great four diagnosises, using the way of ocular inspection & auscultation, we would like to propose rouble shooting in the way of the kidney. To do this, through the assistance of the input image, extract the value of the color with appropriate output, analysing the color of the face with related to the kidney, using the results we would like to get the accurate symptoms on the kidney's problems. Also, through analysing and comparing with the relationship the kidney and the signal of voice, we would like to realize the proof system of human health. Finally, we'd like to make proof of the usefulness for proposed method from this study.

The purpose of this study was to examine the anatomic changes in the upper airway with a dental orthosis. the effectiveness and side effects of orthosis in the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. To meet this puppose a dental orthosis, designed to increase the size of the upper airway by advancing the mandible, was used in 42 patients (30 M, 12 F), aged 29 - 69 years, to treat snoring and varying decrees of obstructive sleep apnea. Cephalometric study of anatomic featured was made with and without a dental orthosis, and the evaluation of the effectiveness and side effects of orthosis was done by questionnaires. The obtained results were as follows : 1. All subjects were habitual snorers and 32 patients comp1ained the loudness of snoring as severe as be heard outside of the patient's room. 2. According to the degree of respiratory distirbance index(RDI) and aprea index(Al) from the polysomnograph in 34 patient, mild obstructive sleep apnea patients were 5, moderate 6 and severe 16. 3. Various anatomic changes in the upper airway with denta1 orthosis were as follows : (1) More superioly positioned hyoid bone ( p<0.001) (2) Enlarged oropharyngeal (superior p<0.01, middle p<0.01. inferior p<0.01) and hypopharyngeal (P<0.05) airway space. 4. According to the results of the changes of clinical syptoms after the usage of the dental orthosis acquired from questionnaires, there was significant improvement in the frequently, the loudness and the severity of snoring, cessation of breathing and awakening from the difficulty of breathing during sleep. 5. The effectiveness and side effects of dental orthosis by questionnaires were as follows ; (1) Dental orthosis satisfied almost all the patients (68±20%). (2) Snoring was improved in all the patients (73±19%). (3) Obstructive sleep aphea was improved in all the patients (61 ± 37%) (4) Sleepiness in the daytime was significantly improved (61 ±37%). (5) The sleep quality was significantly improved (61±37%). (6) The discomfort of the dental orthosis was minor (33±18%) and no serious complications were observed. 6. The dental orthosis is an effective treatment for the symptom of snoring, and it can also effectively treat varying degrees of obstructive sleep apnea.
