  • Text mining is an important process used for analyzing the data collected from different sources like videos, audio, social media, and so on. The tools like Natural Language Processing (NLP) are mostly used in real-time applications. In the earlier research, text mining approaches were implemented using long-short memory (LSTM) networks. In this paper, text mining is performed using average-stochastic gradient descent weight-dropped (AWD)-LSTM techniques to obtain better accuracy and performance. The proposed model is effectively demonstrated by considering the internet movie database (IMDB) reviews. To implement the proposed model Python language was used due to easy adaptability and flexibility while dealing with massive data sets/databases. From the results, it is seen that the proposed LSTM plus weight dropped plus embedding model demonstrated an accuracy of 88.36% as compared to the previous models of AWD LSTM as 85.64. This result proved to be far better when compared with the results obtained by just LSTM model (with 85.16%) accuracy. Finally, the loss function proved to decrease from 0.341 to 0.299 using the proposed model

  • Genomics & Informatics (NLM title abbreviation: Genomics Inform) is the official journal of the Korea Genome Organization. Text corpus for this journal annotated with various levels of linguistic information would be a valuable resource as the process of information extraction requires syntactic, semantic, and higher levels of natural language processing. In this study, we publish our new corpus called GNI Corpus version 1.0, extracted and annotated from full texts of Genomics & Informatics, with NLTK (Natural Language ToolKit)-based text mining script. The preliminary version of the corpus could be used as a training and testing set of a system that serves a variety of functions for future biomedical text mining.

  • Identification of meaningful patterns and trends in large volumes of text data is an important task in various research areas. In the present study, we propose a procedure to find meaningful tendencies based on a combination of text mining, cluster analysis, and low-dimensional embedding. To demonstrate applicability and effectiveness of the proposed procedure, we analyzed the inaugural addresses of the presidents of the United States from 1789 to 2009. The main results of this study show that trends in the national policy agenda can be discovered based on clustering and visualization algorithms.

  • This paper proposes an intelligent word cloud by improving the existing method of representing word cloud by examining the frequency of nouns with text mining technique. In this paper, we propose a method to visually show word clouds focused on other parts, such as verbs, by effectively adding newly-coined words and the like to a dictionary that extracts noun words in text mining. In the experiment, the KoNLP package was used for extracting the frequency of existing nouns, and 80 new words that were not supported were added manually by examining frequency.

  • Unlike structured data which are gathered and saved in a predefined structure, unstructured text data which are mostly written in natural language have larger applications recently due to the emergence of web 2.0. Text mining is one of the most important big data analysis techniques that extracts meaningful information in the text because it has not only increased in the amount of text data but also human being's emotion is expressed directly. In this study, we used R program, an open source software for statistical analysis, and studied algorithm implementation to conduct analyses (such as Frequency Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Word Cloud, Social Network Analysis). Especially, to focus on our research scope, we used keyword extract method based on a Data Dictionary. By applying in real cases, we could find that R is very useful as a statistical analysis software working on variety of OS and with other languages interface.

  • Purpose The study aims to compare the online review writing behavior of users in China and the United States through text mining on online reviews' text content. In particular, existing studies have verified that there are differences in online reviews between different cultures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the differences between reviews written by Chinese and American tourists by analyzing text contents of online reviews based on cultural theory. Design/methodology/approach This study collected and analyzed online review data for hotels, targeting Chinese and US tourists who visited Korea. Then, we analyzed review data through text mining like sentiment analysis and topic modeling analysis method based on previous research analysis. Findings The results showed that Chinese tourists gave higher ratings and relatively less negative ratings than American tourists. And American tourists have more negative sentiments and emotions in writing online reviews than Chinese tourists. Also, through the analysis results using topic modeling, it was confirmed that Chinese tourists mentioned more topics about the hotel location, room, and price, while American tourists mentioned more topics about hotel service. American tourists also mention more topics about hotels than Chinese tourists, indicating that American tourists tend to provide more information through online reviews.

  • The content curation service through big data analysis is receiving great attention in various content fields, such as film, game, music, and book. This service recommends personalized contents to the corresponding user based on user's preferences. The existing book curation systems recommended books to users by using bibliographic citation, user profile or user log data. However, these systems are difficult to recommend books related to character names or spatio-temporal information in text contents. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a personalized book curation system based on integrated mining of a book. The proposed system consists of mining system, recommendation system, and visualization system. The mining system analyzes book text, user information or profile, and SNS data. The recommendation system recommends personalized books for users based on the analysed data in the mining system. This system can recommend related books using based on book keywords even if there is no user information like new customer. The visualization system visualizes book bibliographic information, mining data such as keyword, characters, character relations, and book recommendation results. In addition, this paper also includes the design and implementation of the proposed mining and recommendation module in the system. The proposed system is expected to broaden users' selection of books and encourage balanced consumption of book contents.

  • Recently, as the size of genetic knowledge grows faster, automated analysis and systemization into high-throughput database has become hot issue. One essential task is to recognize and identify genomic entities and discover their relations. However, ambiguity of name entities is a serious problem because of their multiplicity of meanings and types. So far, many effective techniques have been proposed to analyze documents. Yet, accuracy is high when the data fits the model well. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a document classification system for identifying entity problems using text/data mining combination, supplemented by rich data mining algorithms to enhance its performance. we propose RTP ost system of different style from any traditional method, which takes fault tolerant system approach and data mining strategy. This feedback cycle can enhance the performance of the text mining in terms of accuracy. We experimented our system for classifying RB-related documents on PubMed abstracts to verify the feasibility.
