This research examines 13 Korean Web sites and 15 foreign Web Sites to explore how companies present apparel products by both layout of graphics and information at the Web sites. The results show that most Web sites display tiny icons next to the item's text description. Clicking on these icons takes the customers to another web page, where the full size photograph of the item appears. The results also revealed that most web sites offer shopping bag function and payment options such as on-line and credit cards. The results indicate that Web sites are constantly evolving and following functions such as virtual dressing room, FAQ, the links, E-Cash payment, currency converter and multilingual sites are becoming standards in the near future.

One of the major problems faced by the overhead conductor engineer is in the estimation of the loss in strength of conductors caused by long and short term exposures over a period years to elevated temperature. From the standpoint that the life of conductor is influnced by softening of Al wire, the life assessment of conductor was carried out. The aluminum components will be affected most in majority of conductors. The steel core if present will not be affected by temperatures below $225^{\circ}C$. The detailed description will be presented in the text.

From the standpoint that the life of conductor is influenced by softening of AI wire, the life assessment of conductor was carried out. As a result, it was found that the estimated life of conductor was 45.2 year. The detailed description will be presented in the text.

Video captioning refers to the process of extracting features from a video and generating video captions using the extracted features. This paper introduces a deep neural network model and its learning method for effective video captioning. In this study, visual features as well as semantic features, which effectively express the video, are also used. The visual features of the video are extracted using convolutional neural networks, such as C3D and ResNet, while the semantic features are extracted using a semantic feature extraction network proposed in this paper. Further, an attention-based caption generation network is proposed for effective generation of video captions using the extracted features. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed model is verified through various experiments using two large-scale video benchmarks such as the Microsoft Video Description (MSVD) and the Microsoft Research Video-To-Text (MSR-VTT).

최근 영상처리 기술의 발달로 기존의 콘텐츠 대비 더욱 생생한 현장감을 주는 초고해상도 콘텐츠에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 이에 맞춰, 초고해상도 콘텐츠의 라이브 스트리밍 서비스에 대한 요구사항 역시 꾸준히 증가 하고 있다. 라이브 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 다수의 HyperText Transfer Protocol (HHTP) 기반 적응형 스트리밍 서비스가 있으나, Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH)가 가장 대중적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DASH기반 Spatial Relationship Description (SRD) 방법을 사용하여 원본 영상과 초고해상도 콘텐츠를 시그널링(signalling) 하고, 이를 통해 네트워크 상황에 맞는 영상을 재생할 수 있는 서비스 플랫폼을 설계하고, 이를 위한 MPD 기술방법을 제안 및 검증한다.

이 연구에서는 도서관의 주요 장서에 해당하는 단행본 도서에 대한 자동 분류를 적용가능한지 알아보고자 하였다. 분류자질로 메타데이터인 서명, 목차, 책 소개를 사용하였으며, 다양한 자질 가중치를 적용하여 581건의 단행본 도서를 통해 kNN 분류기의 분류성능을 파악하였다. 실험 결과 이들 메타데이터를 모두 사용하였을 때 가장 좋은 분류성능을 가져왔으며, 실험문헌집단의 규모가 작은 한계가 있지만 로그 TF를 취한 가중치 방법이 좋은 성능을 가져왔다.

Objectives : This paper seeks to contribute to restoring ancient literature related to Bianque through literature analysis of the fifth volume of "Maijing(脈經)". Methods : Literature referenced in the fifth volume of "Maijing(脈經)" which are "Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)", "Nanjing(難經)" among others were examined. Results & Conclusions : The fifth volume of "Maijing(脈經)" cites "Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)", "Nanjing(難經)", "Bixi Zhenfa(敝昔診法)", "Ni Shun Wu Se Mai Zang Yan Jing Shen(逆順五色脈藏驗精神)" etc. Based on the question and answer format of the text, it seems the fifth volume of "Maijing(脈經)" is a collective of three different lines of medical texts. It shows traces of Bianque's Zangfu theory where the Stomach is considered as one of the Five Zangs instead of the Spleen. It also contains the diagnostic method of symptom expression time based on distance between sites of pathological expression. Moreover, description of the number of pulses during one cycle of breathing (inhale/exhale) indicates that the early theories of the Bianque School has been preserved.

The rapid proliferation of mobile device such as PDA allows users more ubiquitous access to multimedia information. The user mobility provides users a uniform vision of their preferred working environment independently of their current points of attachment. Supporting the user mobility requires the Player capable of efficiently presenting the multimedia contents. MPEC-4 provides not only the description for coding audio and video (as its predecessors MPEG-1 and MPEG-2), but also for coding images, animations, interactivity and protecting content. With MPEG-4, we present interactive media using multiple objects - audio, video, image, 2D geometry, and text - in a single format. Therefore we propose the MPEC-4 Player for PDA. The proposed MPEG-4 Player for PDA supports mobility, portability and personality.

Understanding dialogue participant's emotion is important as well as decoding the explicit message in human communication. It is well known that non-verbal elements are more suitable for conveying speaker's emotions than verbal elements. Written texts, however, contain a variety of linguistic units that express emotions. This study aims at analyzing components for constructing an emotion ontology, that provides us with numerous applications in Human Language Technology. A majority of the previous work in text-based emotion processing focused on the classification of emotions, the construction of a dictionary describing emotion, and the retrieval of those lexica in texts through keyword spotting and/or syntactic parsing techniques. The retrieved or computed emotions based on that process did not show good results in terms of accuracy. Thus, more sophisticate components analysis is proposed and the linguistic factors are introduced in this study. (1) 5 linguistic types of emotion expressions are differentiated in terms of target (verbal/non-verbal) and the method (expressive/descriptive/iconic). The correlations among them as well as their correlation with the non-verbal expressive type are also determined. This characteristic is expected to guarantees more adaptability to our ontology in multi-modal environments. (2) As emotion-related components, this study proposes 24 emotion types, the 5-scale intensity (-2~+2), and the 3-scale polarity (positive/negative/neutral) which can describe a variety of emotions in more detail and in standardized way. (3) We introduce verbal expression-related components, such as 'experiencer', 'description target', 'description method' and 'linguistic features', which can classify and tag appropriately verbal expressions of emotions. (4) Adopting the linguistic tag sets proposed by ISO and TEI and providing the mapping table between our classification of emotions and Plutchik's, our ontology can be easily employed for multilingual processing.

The second edition of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR 2) was published in December 1978. In 1974 representatives Qf five bodies from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States established the Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR, and set the aims, structure, and content of AACR 2. Although the goal of a single text for Britain and North America was achieved in AACR 2, the American library community expressed concern about cost-effectiveness of adoption of the new code, and consquently the LC implementation plan called for some minor departures from AACR 2. LC's plan to depart from a number of provisions of the new code will cause a continuation of the problems presented by past practices of superimposition. The purpose of this paper is to examine the revisions made in AACR 2 in the hope that it will contribute to efforts of Korean librarians seeking to focus on the major questions requiring discussion and decisions before adoption of AACR 2 by Korean research libraries who have already adopted Anglo-American Cataloging Rules for Western materials. In this paper attempts were made to follow the order of subjects treated in the code, beginning with general revisions, followed by a discussion of each of the parts of the code, the first for bibliographic description and the second for choice and form of access points. The differences between AACR 1 and AACR 2 that will be most significant to cataloguers are compared with examples. Comparative analysis of optional and alternative rules are viewed from a historical background, and their practical applications for the different types of libraries / or materials are discussed. Specifications of the options adapted by the Library of Congress are presented. Adaption of AACR 2 poses continual problems in Korea. It is very important to maintain consistent sets of information consistently presented in the catalogue regardless of its language. The recognition by cataloguers of the urgent need for conformity and campatability of catalogue between Western mateirals and Oriental materials is recommended, if AACR 2 is to be adapted. It would be intolerable for the catalogue users, if different standards of description and headings were to apply in the same catalogue.
