  • While we study the book "Somun(素問)", we have to take Wangbing(王冰) Note as reference, which has to be understood by later generation on reading the book Sin-gyojeong(新校正) of Imeok(林億) from Song dynasty. At the final period of Edo in Japan, the famous Han medical expert, Yamada(山田) Gyoukou(業廣) sought a complete new way to compile a book named "Somunchajujipso(素問次注集疏)", a notes and commentaries work combined the original text of "Somun(素問)", Wangbing(王冰) Note and Sin-gyojeong(新校正) by taking the reference of generations medical books and notes both China and Japan. There have been many books to give notes on "Somun(素問)" in many generations, but less of them giving notes to the original text, but to Wangbing Note a little bit at most. In "Somunchajujipso", textual research and notes are given as a special example to the forward, original text and explanation part of "Somun", Song dynasty edition. Especially the detail explanation to the forward part of Imeok(林億), no one has done better than Gyoukou(業廣) until now. It sufficiently shows Gyoukou's(業廣) enriched knowledge accumulated by years hard research in Confucian classics, history and medical books, which enable it a worthy reference statement. The issued of the book "Somunchajujipso(素問次注集疏)" expands a new area for the research of "Somun" and present new research improvement of "Somun" in Japan.

  • In this paper, we propose the new method that separate the existing common VQ code book into two parts, one is the common VQ code book which is the half of existing common VQ code book, another is the personal speaker VQ code book which accommodate the personal speaker characteristic, variation to improve the performance of the text-dependent speaker verification system using discrete HMM. We apply the propose method m this paper to the text-dependent speaker verification system using discrete HMM and have the improvement performance of about 0.24% compared to existing method

  • The purpose of this study is examining the contents of Mugyeongchilseo researching of Mukwashichwi in early Joseon Dynasty. The conclusions are following in several facts. First, the subjects of test are distinctly divided into 2 different parts. These are martial art test and textbook one. The martial art test was focused on archery and skill of spear. otherwise the text test was consisted of Byeonseo and Saseosamgyeong. Second, Mukwashichwi had 2 different courses Mukwkjo and Dosijo. Each of them also had 3 steps Chosi, Boksi Jeonsi. Regarding text test, the person who applied Mukwjo was able to choose 1 text book of Saseoogyeong, 1 text book of Mugyeongchilseo and 1 text book of "Tonggam", "Byeongyo", "Janggambagui", "Mugyeong", "Sohak" and "Gyeonggukdaejeon". But, the person who applied Dosijo was able to choose 1 text book "Noneo", "Maengja", 1 text book of Ogyeong and 1 book of "Tonggam", "Janggambagui", "Byeongyo", "SunTzu". Third, As the result of examining 42 articles of Mugyeongchilseo in records of Joseon Dynasty. There was unstable stardards in Mukwashichwi at that time. So It needed various texts book to take a test. But, after king Seongjong, "Gyeonggukdaejeon" was completed assigned and the standard text book was set up and applied. Finally, considering important meaning of Mugyeongchilseo, It had been existed as text book of Mukwashichwi for a long time and never deleted like many other books. It had always played critical roles of every types of Mukwa test and had been rules of military appointment.

  • To analyze the impact of word embedding on book titles, this study utilized word embedding models (Word2vec, GloVe, fastText) to generate embedding vectors from book titles. These vectors were then used as classification features for automatic classification. The classifier utilized the k-nearest neighbors (kNN) algorithm, with the categories for automatic classification based on the DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) main class 300 assigned by libraries to books. In the automatic classification experiment applying word embeddings to book titles, the Skip-gram architectures of Word2vec and fastText showed better results in the automatic classification performance of the kNN classifier compared to the TF-IDF features. In the optimization of various hyperparameters across the three models, the Skip-gram architecture of the fastText model demonstrated overall good performance. Specifically, better performance was observed when using hierarchical softmax and larger embedding dimensions as hyperparameters in this model. From a performance perspective, fastText can generate embeddings for substrings or subwords using the n-gram method, which has been shown to increase recall. The Skip-gram architecture of the Word2vec model generally showed good performance at low dimensions(size 300) and with small sizes of negative sampling (3 or 5).

  • As the number of smart devices increases, e-book contents and services are proliferating. However, the text based e-book is difficult for a hearing-impairment person to understand. In this paper, we developed an android based application in which we can choose an e-book text file and each sentence is translated to sign-language elements which are shown in videos that are retrieved from the sign-language contents server. We used the korean sentence to sign-language translation algorithm based on the morpheme analysis. The proposed translation algorithm consists of 3 stages. Firstly, some elements in a sentence are removed for typical sign-language usages. Secondly, the tense of the sentence and the expression alteration are applied. Finally, the honorific forms are considered and word positions in the sentence are revised. We also proposed a new method to evaluate the performance of the translation algorithm and demonstrated the superiority of the algorithm through the translation results of 100 reference sentences.

  • Daoism is a very important subject that consists of oriental medicine(traditional east asia medicine). Among the many scriptures, The Zhouyi cantong qi (周易參同契, Token for Joining the Three in Accordance with the Book of Changes) is the main Chinese alchemical scripture. This book is composed with three kinds of subject, Zhouyi(周易, the Book of Changes), the Huanglao(黃老) Tradition and alchemy(鍊金, 爐火). The author's name is not signed but is concealed in the text. According to the traditional account, the legendary Han immortal from Guiji (會稽, in present-day Zhejiang, 古 浙江), Wei Boyang(魏伯陽), wrote it in the period between Emperor Shun and Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han (126-127 BC), after reading the Longhu jing (龍虎經, Scripture of the Dragon and Tiger). Later he transmitted it to Xu Congshi(徐從事), who appended a commentary, and to Chunyu Shutong(淳于叔通), who first circulated it in the world. While some features of this account provide significant details - especially about the reputed date of the text and about its formation having taken place in stages - the received Cantong qi(參同契) actually is not the product of a single generation of authors, but the result of several centuries of textual accretions as well as theory of three co-authorship by Wei Boyang(魏伯陽), Xu Congshi(徐從事), Chunyu Shutong(淳于叔通). It has over 6000 characters in four-word or five-word verses. Some parts of the book are in styles of prose and poem. Many scholars explain the title "cantongqi(參同契)", saying that "Can(參)" means three, "Tong(同)" means correspondence, and "Qi(契)" means unification. Through images of hexagrams of the Book of Changes, the book illustrates the thought of the Huanglao(黃老) Tradition and alchemy. Wei Boyang(魏伯陽) theorizes his own experience unifying the way of intercourse of Yin and Yang in the Book of Changes, the cultivation of spirit through spontaneity of the Huanglao(黃老) Tradition and the elixir refining of alchemy.

  • A book index is a locater system that ordinarily connects a set of terms from a text of a book to the page where they occur in the book's text. The DDC Relative Index differs somewhat in both of this matters. Its terms refers to classification notations and their corresponding category statements as found in the schedule text rather than to page numbers. The index is the final equipment of a classification scheme. The index is of primary importance to any classification scheme. Therefore The purpose of this study is to analysis DDC Relative Index.

  • There are various educational aids which we can use in classroom. In classes, video presenters have been used for presenting full-text book to screen. In this study, we developed an educational solution to support real-time video capture of contents of text-book using video presenter. If teachers use this solution, they can teach using real-time captured video of text-book in anytime, anywhere.
