  • 산화제 유동 변화를 위한 디스크를 예혼합실에 장착하여 디스크의 직경과 길이를 변경하며 PMMA/GOx를 이용한 하이브리드 로켓 모터의 지상연소 시험을 수행하였다. 디스크에 의해 산화제 유동의 와류유출(vortex shedding)이 발생하여, 연소율과 압력 진동 등의 연소 특성이 변화하였다. 따라서 하이브리드 로켓에서 발생하는 유동간섭과 연소 특성 사이의 상관관계를 파악하고, 연료 표면에 인접한 곳에서 발생하는 작은 크기의 와류와 예혼합실 안에서 발생하는 와류흘림과의 상호작용에 대해서 알아보기 위해 실험적 연구를 진행하였다.

액체로켓의 연소안정을 위한 유량공급에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the Flow Control for Stable Combustion of Liquid Rocket)

  • In liquid rocket engine, propellant feed rate is proportional to approximately square root of the pressure difference between injector head and combustion chamber. This ΔP depends on the engine design, but in general on the order of 50psi. However, during ignition period, especially for the pressurized feed system, combustion chamber pressure is almost atmospheric and large ΔP causes over flow of propellants which may lead to catastrophic accident due to hard start. Hard start may be prevented by applying cavitating venturi or/and two step ignition. In cavitating venturi, evaporated propellants near the venturi throat become chocked and flow rate depends on only upstream condition. In two step ignition propellants are supplied to the liquid engine in two different flow rate. First step, to avoid hard start, small amount of propellants are supplied to build up chamber pressure in safe zone, then full propellants to ensure design pressure. In this study, both cavitating venturi and two step ignition method were used for the hot test and hard start problem was completely solved.

특성길이 변화에 따른 200 N급 기체메탄-액체산소 소형로켓엔진의 성능 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis for the Performance of 200 N-class Gaseous Methane-Liquid Oxygen Small Rocket Engine According to the Characteristic Length Variation)

  • 200 N급 기체메탄-액체산소 소형로켓엔진의 연소실 특성길이 1.37 m, 1.71 m, 2.06 m에 대한 연소성능 분석을 위해 지상연소시험을 수행하였다. 로켓엔진의 주요 성능 변수로 정상상태에서의 추력, 비추력, 특성속도 등을 획득하였으며, 연소시험을 통해 확인한 성능특성을 CEA 해석으로부터 구한 이론성능과 비교 및 분석하였다. 연소성능에 대한 특성길이의 영향을 관찰한 결과, 최적의 특성길이는 1.71 m와 2.06 m사이에 존재하는 것이 확인되었다.

  • High-frequency combustion instabilities may occur during the development of feasible engine combustors. These instabilities can result in irreparable damages to the wall of combustors or the degradation of engine performance. So, it is essential to identify injectors that have high stability characteristics during the early stages of development. The objective of present study was to assess the stability of coaxial injectors and an impinging injector with different recess lengths in order to develop stable injectors optimally. Stability margin was evaluated based on the distance from operating condition to the unstable regions. A simulating combustion test method was used to analyze the stability of injectors. A small-scale combustion chamber was designed to simulate the first tangential acoustic mode of the actual combustor. Gaseous oxygen and a mixture of methane and propane were used as simulant propellants to satisfy their flow similarity to the actual propellants of a combustor in a liquid rocket combustor. The results indicated that injectors having small recess lengths showed relatively large combustion stability margins. For the injectors of large recess lengths, instability regions with large and super-large amplitude oscillations were observed. Thus, injector with shorter recess lengths had a higher stability than that of longer one due to the different mixing processes.

녹차잎분말을 이용한 마루판의 유해 TVOC 제거효과 (Scavenging Effect of Injurious VOC from Flooring using Green Tea Leaves Powder)

  • 본 연구는 내구성이 우수하며 포름알데히드방출이 적은 페놀수지 사용 메란티합판을 마루판용 대판으로 사용하고 북미산 벚나무 단판을 표면재료로 사용한 마루판의 제조과정에서 접착제 및 도료에 녹차잎 분말을 첨가하였을 때 마루판으로부터 방출하는 총휘발성유기화합물(TVOC)과 포름알데히드의 감소효과와 녹차잎 분말의 적정 첨가량을 구명하였다. 1) 녹차잎 분말의 폴리페놀화합물량은 9.85%였다. 2) 녹차잎 분말은 FT-IR 결과 벤즈알데히드와 에틸헥사알콜과 반응하여 화학결합을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 3) 페놀수지메란티대판에 벚나무단판오버레이 마루판 제조를 위한 접착제와 UV도료에 전건중량기준으로 2.5%의 녹차잎 분말을 각각 첨가하는 것이 총휘발성유기화합물과 포름알데히드의 방산제거 효과가 매우 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 4) 20L 소형챔버법에 의한 녹차잎 분말 2.5%를 접착제와 도료에 각각 첨가한 온돌용 마루판의 7일째 TVOC는 $0.089mg/m^2hr$이고 포름알데히드는 $0.001mg/m^2hr$를 나타내 최우수등급으로 나타났다.

주조공정에서의 벤젠 발생원 규명에 관한 연구 (A study on the Identification of Sources for Benzene Detected in the Casting Process)

  • The aim of this study was to identify the sources of benzene detected in airborne of casting workplace where benzene was not used as raw material. We have identified benzene by GC/FID and GC/MSD. In this pilot test, small size iron chamber(diameter 30 cm, height 20 cm) was used. As the raw materials, new sand, recovered sand, and mixed casting sand(new sand + solidifying agent + organic resin + coating material) was tested, respectively. In the new sand benzene was not detected, but in the recovered sand and the mixed casting sand was detected. Xylenesulfonic acid(solidifying agent), one of the mixed casting sand ingredients was thought to product benzene by thermal decomposition above $400^{\circ}$..., but the other raw materials(organic resin and coating material) were thought not to product benzene. In this experiment, the most of benzene by thermal decomposition was produced within 1 hour after pouring the iron solution($1560^{\circ}$...) in small size iron chamber. When the mixed casting sand with coating material was used, the concentration of the produced benzene was average 2.91 ppm(range 1.98~3.72 ppm), and without coating material, benzene concentration was average 0.11 ppm(range 0.08~0.14 ppm).

  • This study is intended for the review of the standards related with the released contaminants from building materials used in the building room. Because currently being used industry standard and test method for the emissions of air pollutant are ambiguous so the new enactment and revision of the test methods and standards need to be addressed to match the actual situation in the construction industry. Based on actual evaluation for seveal sealants used in the job site, this study will present a direction for the revision and new enactment of standards and test method appropriately.

화강풍화토 지반에 타설된 가드레일 지주의 횡방향 거동 분석 (Analyses of Horizontal Behavior of Guardrail Posts Installed in Compacted Weathered Granite Soil)

  • A small scale impact apparatus, pressuremter and soil chamber were used to investigate horizontal behavior and bearing capacity of the steel guardrail post installed in compacted soil. A useful test and data reduction method for pressuremter was developed to evaluate soil parameters of surrounding soil and stability of the post. From the analyses of the PMT, horizontal bearing capacity of the post impacted by a boggie was 12.7% bigger than that of the post with static loading. The increased horizontal bearing capacity is due to generated inertia force that is dependent on the shape of failed soil wedge around the post. P-y curves were obtained from the pressuremeter test and were applied to a finite difference program which predicted a load-deflection and a bending moment contours along the post.

디젤엔진의 콩기름연료에 의한 운전성능에 관한 시험 (A Study on the Operation Performance of Diesel Engine by using of Soybean Oil Fuel)

  • This paper, is about the test on the operating performance of diesel engine by using of soybean oil which farmers could supply in their farm yard. The diesel engine used is a swirl-chamber type, four stroke cycle with single cylinder, air cooling and its rated horse power is 2 PS per 1300 rpm. Several results obtained are as follows; 1. The starting performance of diesel engine with soybean oil is almost the same as that with light oil. 2. The variation of engine speed according to various engine load is small when soybean oil is used compared with light oil. It is considered that soybean oil is desirable for the purpose of industerial power machine fuel. 3. The specific fuel consumption increases approximately 10 percent high in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power and shows less or same during the load test in low velocity, when soybean oil is used 4. Though the brake thermal efficiency in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power is inclined to decrease when soybean oil is used compared during the load test in low velocityt shows good inclination.

페로니켈슬래그(FNS)가 토질 및 수질오염에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ferro-nickel Slag on Contamination of Soil and Water)

  • 본 연구에서는 FNS의 공학적 특성을 평가하고, 소형 및 대형 모형토조를 통하여 원지반과 유사한 조건으로 FNS 매립시에 주변토양에 미치는 환경적 영향을 평가하고자 하였다. 주입액은 담수, 산성, 해수를 사용하였으며 모래와 실트시료를 사용하여 각각 상대밀도(40%, 60%)와 다짐도(90%) 조건을 선정하여 실험하였다. 소형 및 대형 모형토조에서 배출되는 용출액은 pH 분석을 실시하였으며, 주입이 완료된 후에 샘플을 추출하여 토양오염분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 모래보다 실트에서 pH의 오염도가 더 높게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었고, FNS가 주변 토양에 미치는 환경적 영향은 미미한 것으로 나타나 향후 천연골재 대체재로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
