The Development of Test Items based on Scenario to Measure Information and Communication Ethics (시나리오 기반의 정보통신윤리 의식 측정 검사도구 개발)

  • The goal of this research is to develop and validate test items to measure Information and Communication Ethics(ICE) based on scenario. For this, we need to preferentially identify the primary factors in understanding and diagnosing the consciousness level of adolescents on the ICE. To solve this problem, in this research, we identified and validated major indices that consist of the ICE. Finally, For attaining the objective of the research, we developed test items based on scenario with including ICE dilemmas and applied to high school students. Thus, the results of this research indicate that test items can be used as valid and reliable scale to measure ICE level of students.

  • Because data processing systems in recent years are more complicated, main function of the data processing is divided as several sub-functions which are implemented and verified in each subsystem of the data processing system. For the verification of data processing system, many interface tests among subsystems are required and also a lot of simulation systems are demanded. This paper proposes CTHS (Common Test Harness System) for satellite ground segment development which has all of functions for interface test of the data processing system in one PC. Main functions of the CTHS software are data interface, system log generation, and system information display. For the interface test of the data processing system, all of actions of the CTHS are executed by a pre-defined operation scenario which is written by purpose of the data processing system test.

  • Since there is currently no commercial protocol simulator for CDMA mobile communication system, we need to develop a General-Purposed Protocol Test Simulator (G-PTS). This paper is concerned with the design and implementation of this G-PTS contains the multi-scenario generating functions, multi-tasking kernel and multiple interface functions. Thus it can be utilized in the test category using multiple base-stations such as soft-handoff, 3-way handoff and mulit-party call features. G-PTS is verified using the model of CDMA soft handoff scenario and the result shows its reliable operations.

Physiological Response of parrot fish (Oplegnathus fasciantus) and bivalve (Gomphina melanaegis) by Lowing Water Temperature Exposure (저수온 노출에 따른 돌돔(Oplegnathus fasciantus)과 민들조개(Gomphina melanaegis)의 생리활성 변화 연구)

  • Physiological response of fish and bivalve was estimated to identify the physiological changes of test species by lowering water temperature due to the abrupt stop of cooling water discharge from power plant. The experiment was conducted by two conditions; fall and winter by decreasing water temperature ($2^{\circ}C$/2 days) from $26^{\circ}C$ to $17^{\circ}C$ for fall scenario and from $15^{\circ}C$ to $9^{\circ}C$ for winter scenario, respectively. Test organisms were parrot fish (Oplegnathus fasciantus) and bivalve (Gomphina melanaegis), and end points were mortality for both species, hematocrit and cortisol for fish, and hemolymph and superoxide dismutase(SOD) for bivalve. 48/96hr mortality test revealed no mortality for fish and 47% mortality for bivalve at 96hr/$26^{\circ}C$ only. Significant increases of hematocrit and cortisol were found at fishes exposed to $26^{\circ}C$ (high temperature) and lower temperature ($9{\sim}13^{\circ}C$), respectively. Hemolymph and SOD for bivalve tended to decrease by lowering water temperature from 15 to $9^{\circ}C$ (winter scenario) and no changes from 26 to $17^{\circ}C$ (fall scenario). Fall scenario (from 15 to $9^{\circ}C$) showed more significant changes of physiological response than winter cases (26 to $17^{\circ}C$).

  • Efficiency and limitations of HAZUS-MH, a GIS based systematic and informative system developed by FEMA and NIBS for natural hazard loss estimations, are discussed by means of a pilot study in the Korean Peninsular. Gyeongsang-do has been selected for the test after careful reviews of previous studies including historical and modern seismicity in the peninsular. A ShakeMap for the selected scenario earthquake with magnitude 6.7 in Gyeongju area is prepared. Then, any losses due to the scenario event have been estimated using HAZUS. Results of the pilot test show that the study area may experience significant physical, economic and social damages. Detailed study in the future will provide efficient and crucial information to the decision makers and emergency agents to mitigate any disaster posed by natural hazards.

  • In the world, traffic accidents and environmental pollution caused by the increase of vehicles are becoming a serious social problem. According to the 2016 data published by the Korea Highway Traffic Authority, Korea owns 49.9 vehicles per 100 people. This is the 28th largest number among the 35 OECD member countries. In addition, the number of deaths from traffic accidents in Korea totaled 4,292, of which 1,714 were caused by traffic accidents involving vehicles and pedestrians. To reduce these human casualties, the automotive industry is constantly working on the development and commercialization of Adaptive Driver Assist System (ADAS). ADAS is the system providing convenience and safeness for drivers. In general, ADAS consists of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS). Among them, the AEB detects the possibility of collision by the vehicle itself and plays a role of avoiding the collision or reducing the damage through active braking. For such AEB, Euro NCAP has been developing test-evaluation methods for the vulnerable since 2017. Therefore, In this paper analyzes the scenario of Euro NCAP VRU Test Protocol v3.0.1, which will be established in 2020, and proposes test conditions according to the Korean road traffic law. In addition, the reliability of the proposed scenario and test conditions was verified by comparing and analyzing the proposed theoretical evaluation formulas and actual test results.

A Systematic Approach to Accident Scenario Analysis: Child Safety Seat Case Study (체계적 사고 시나리오 분석기법을 이용한 유아용 안전의자 사례연구)

  • The objective of this paper is to describe a systematic accident scenario analysis method(SASA) adept at creating accident scenarios for the design of safer products. This approach was inspired by the Quality Function Deployment(QFD) method, which is conventionally used in quality management. In this study, the QFD provides a formal and systematic scheme to devise accident scenarios while maintaining objectivity. SASA consists of three key stages to be broken down into a series of consecutive steps:(1) developing an accident analysis tableau,(2) devising the accident scenarios using the accident analysis tableau,(3) performing a feasibility test, a clustering process and a patterning process, and finally(4) performing quantitative evaluation of each accident scenario. The SASA was applied to a case study of child safety seats. The accident analysis tableau devised 2828(maximum) accident scenarios from all possible relationships between the hazard factors and situation characteristics. Among them, 270 scenarios were devised through the feasibility test and the clustering process. The patterning process reduced them to 29 patterns representative of all accident scenarios. Based on an intensive analysis of the accident patterns, design guidelines for a safer child safety seat were recommended. The implications of the study on the child safety seat case were then discussed.

  • Face recognition out of biometrics is considerable interesting due to high performance and accessibility in applications to security such as access control and banking service. Therefore, a study on the protocol of the performance test is an important issue to understand the art-of state and to show a direction in future works, in addtion to developing algorithms.   • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) uses sensors such as camera, radar, lidar and GPS (Global Positioning System). Among these sensors, the camera has many advantages compared with other sensors. The reason is that it is cheap, easy to use and can identify objects. In this paper, therefore, a theoretical formula was proposed to obtain the distance from the vehicle's front wheel to the lane using a monocular camera. And the validity of the theoretical formula was verified through the actual vehicle test. The results of the actual vehicle test in scenario 4 resulted in a maximum error of 0.21 m. The reason is that it is difficult to detect the lane in the curved road, and it is judged that errors occurred due to the occurrence of significant yaw rates. The maximum error occurred in curve road condition, but the error decreased after lane return. Therefore, the proposed theoretical formula makes it possible to assess the safety of the LKA system.

Development of Anti-Spoofing Equipment Architecture and Performance Evaluation Test System

  • Spoofing attacks including meaconing can provide a bogus position to a victim GPS receiver, and those attacks are notably difficult to detect at the point of view on the receiver. Several countermeasure techniques have been studied to detect, classify, and cancel the spoofing signals. Based on the countermeasure techniques, we have developed an anti-spoofing equipment that detects and mitigates or eliminates the spoofing signal based on raw measurements. Although many anti-spoofing techniques have been studied in the literatures, the evaluation test system is not deeply studied to evaluate the anti-spoofing equipment, which includes detection, mitigation, and elimination of spoofing signals. Each study only has a specific test method to verify its anti-spoofing technique. In this paper, we propose the performance evaluation test system that includes both spoofing signal injection system and its injection scenario with the constraints of stand-alone anti-spoofing techniques. The spoofing signal injection scenario is designed to drive a victim GPS receiver that moves to a designed position, where the mitigation and elimination based anti-spoofing algorithms can be successively evaluated. We evaluate the developed anti-spoofing equipment and a commercial GPS receiver using our proposed performance evaluation test system. Although the commercial one is affected by the test system and moves to the designed position, the anti-spoofing equipment mitigates and eliminates the injected spoofing signals as planned. We evaluate the performance of anti-spoofing equipment on the position error of the circular error probability, while injecting spoofing signals.
