  • A vibration test for a cylindrical rod inserted on the grid support structure was tested using the sine sweep excitation method with closed loop force control. The effect of the mounting location of a test rod on the vibration characteristics of a rod continuously supported by the full size($16{\times}16$) grid support was identified. An electromagnetic vibration shaker, non-contact displacement sensor and HP/VXI data acquisition device were used and TDAS software was also used as a data sampling and processing tools. The natural frequencies and mode shape of the test rod were consistent with the previous works of a rod vibration test with partial grids($3{\times}3,\;5{\times}5\;and\;7{\times}7$). The frequency characteristics of the rod according to the mounting location were shown clear discrepancies, but mode shapes were nearly same. As the test rod closes to the bottom clamping region of the spacer grid, peak vibration amplitudes of the rod become smaller.

  • For the purpose of rational design of air insulation, it is need to experiment with similar to real shape test object and conform the characterisics. But basic distances of air insulation of transmission line, tower, etc. can be acquired from flashover characteristic of rod-rod, rod-plane electrodes. In this paper, before field test of 765kV transmission line for determination of distances of phase to ground insulation, we execute lightning, switching impulse test with test electrod(rod-rod, rod-plane) against clearances of air insulation. Each tests use up-down method and consist of 30 times flashover test. Flashover data treatment program and air correction program following IEC 60-1(1987) standard were completely builted.

  • Important material properties of UCAS rod can divide by tension characteristic of base rod part and both end part of U type anchor. Tensile properties of base rod part need as concrete reinforcement material as an alternative material of reinforcing rod, and tensile properties of U type anchor is used at connection with UCAS rod. This treatise carry out tensile test of UCAS rod, examine necessary properties such as strength, elastic modulus and maximum capacity of UCAS rod as reinforcement material of concrete. Also, to examine material properties carry out tensile test of U type anchor.

아우터타이로드 최적화 모델의 구조성능시험 (Structural Performance Test of Optimized Outer Tie Rod)

  • The outer tie rod that is a part of steering system connects the steering gear to the steering knuckle via the inner tie rod. The formal study suggested the optimized structural design of an outer tie rod installed in a passenger car. Its weight is 284.7g, which is 57.2% lighter weight than initial steel model. This study validates the optimized design of the outer tie rod considering buckling and durability. The assembled unit of an inner tie rod and outer tie rod is utilized to perform the test of the bending strength of the outer tie rod. On the contrary, 1/2 car is utilized to perform the test of its durability performance.

  • Purpose: In the A rotorcraft, the division of a long yaw control rod was studied to improve the heat treatment capability. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether division of yaw control rod affects quality reliability in the A rotorcraft and analyze whether it secured flight safety. Methods: The structural static test and the vibration durability test on the split shape of yaw control rod were carried out in order to examine and verify the existing structural analysis results. Results: Structural static test results showed that there were no cracks and vibration durability test results showed that there was no damage or breakage on the split yaw control rod. Conclusion: This study showed that the quality reliability was confirmed and thus the flight safety of the A rotorcraft was secured. And it is expected that the split technique of the yaw control rod will contribute to the development of the rotorcraft industry in the future.

  • Various soil characteristics for safe construction is necessary to understand the tests using the samples collected, and head in place an energy evaluation is conducted to evaluate the ground. Abstract The purpose of this agreement when increasing contract area of Rod agreement to transform the energy attenuation and the attenuation at the energy being delivered to evaluate. Energy that raised at head of Rod, was increased and decreased by contracting type. The energy difference occurs in the head with the tip that shows the energy rating may be required at the tip is showing. Abstract The energy evaluation for the Rod field test to be at the basic sources and will be able to calculate the trusted information are measured from the tip.

대형 트럭용 경량 알루미늄 I형 래디어스 로드 개발 (Development of Lightweight Aluminum I Type Radius Rod for Heavy Trucks)

  • An aluminum radius rod using rheo-forging method has been developed for heavy commercial vehicles to decrease vehicle unsprung weight. To design the shape of the rod, structural simulations are performed using two load cases. To evaluate durability performance of the rods, a test system which has simultaneous 3 axes actuating system is developed. And 3 axes durability test conditions are established based on vehicle field tests. Using the test systems and the conditions, the durability test is carried out and the rods have passed the test conditions of 700,000 cycles. The weight of a developed aluminum radius rod is 4.2kg and it was drastically reduced by 48.8 percent in comparison with the weight of a steel radius rod.

  • The PWR Nuclear Fuel assembly consists of more than 250 fuel rods that are supported by leaf springs in the cells of more than 10 Spacer Grids (SG) along the rod length. Since it is not easy to conduct mechanical tests on a full-scale model basis, the small-scaled rod bundle (5$\times$5) is generally used for various performance tests during the development stage. As one of the small-scaled tests, a flow test should be carried out in order to verify the performance of the spacer grid like the coolant mixing performance and to obtain the Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV) characteristics of the rod bundle over the specified flow range. A vibration test should be also performed to obtain the modal parameters of the bundle prior to the flow test. In this study, we want to develop the estimation procedure of the damping ratio for the small scaled test bundle. For the damping factor of the rod bundle and the grid case at the first vibration mode, as one of the vibration tests, a so-called pluck testing has been performed in air as a preliminary test prior to in-flow damping measurement test. Logarithmic decrement method is used for calculation of the damping ratio. Estimated damping ratio of the rod bundle is about 0.7% with reasonable error of 2% for the previous results. Nonlinear behavior of the rod bundle might be stem mainly Iron the rod-grid support configuration.

프리즘 분리법과 마독스 로드 검사법을 이용한 사위측정과 경향 연구 (A study on the measurement and tendency of heterophoria using Von Graefe test and Maddox rod test)

  • 대학생 72명의 사위검사에서 프리즘 분리법과 마독스 로드 검사법으로 측정되어진 수평사위 값의 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 검사방법은 원거리 완전 교정 상태에서 프리즘 분리법, 마독스 로드 검사법의 두 가지 방법을 이용하였다. 프리즘 분리법에 의한 수평사위 검사에서는 정위 21명(29%), 외사위 36명(50%), 내사위 15명(21%) 이었다. 마독스 로드 검사법에 의한 수평사위 검사에서는 정위 36명(50%), 외사위 26명(36%), 내사위 10명(14%), 이었다. 두 검사의 평균값은 각각 프리즘 분리법 $0.93{\Delta}$ BI, 마독스 로드 검사법 $0.96{\Delta}$ BI이었다. 검사 방법에 따라 수평사위 값의 차이는 없었다. 또한 heterphoria 법으로 AC/A비를 측정한 결과 최저 1.0에서 최대 8.8까지 분포하고 있었으며, 대상안의 굴절이상 상태와는 유의하지 않았다.

  • In this study, the nature of brittleness, one of the main problems of GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Re-bar, is improved. Therefore, Hybrid GFRP Rod is developed by attaching FBG sensor to the new GFRP Rod with toughness, essential for flexural reinforcement of the concrete. The test was performed with specimens of Hybrid GFRP Rod. According to the test, data measured by electric gauge sensor are compared with data measured by FBG sensor.
