Vertical drain used improvement soft clay is made of not only decreasing construction time but also increasing the ground strength during some decades. As, it is applied to improvement soft clay with vertical drain, it is designed by the result that is caused by oedemeter test ignored anisotropic of the ground related to consolidation conditions. When we are expected consolidation conditions, the most important factors is soil of compaction and water permeability. Above all, anisotropic of the ground permeability show the results which differ between vertical and radial drainage. Recently, We study for radial consolidation coefficient and permeability coefficient that utilized Rowe Cell Consolidation and permeability tester but, it dont use well because of not only a supply lack also difficulty of test. The paper experimented with searching anisotropic of the ground so there are Rowe Cell test, standard consolidation tester and modified standard consolidation test that have pohang's soft clay ground. Therefore, we find anisotropic of the ground and a tester of easy use more than before. We made a comparison test result between the devised tester and Rowe Cell tester, Also, we learned average degree of consolidation for partial penetrating vertical drains. We were found relations as effective stress-void and effective stress-permeability coefficient through those tests.
We consider the problem of testing cell probabilities in sparse multinomial data. Aerts et al. (2000) presented T=${{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2$ as a test statistic with the local least square polynomial estimator ${{p}_{i}}^{*}$, and derived its asymptotic distribution. The local least square estimator may produce negative estimates for cell probabilities. The local maximum likelihood polynomial estimator ${{\hat{p}}_{i}}$, however, guarantees positive estimates for cell probabilities and has the same asymptotic performance as the local least square estimator (Baek and Park, 2003). When there are cell probabilities with relatively much different sizes, the same contribution of the difference between the estimator and the hypothetical probability at each cell in their test statistic would not be proper to measure the total goodness-of-fit. We consider a Pearson type of goodness-of-fit test statistic, $T_1={{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2/p_{i}$ instead, and show it follows an asymptotic normal distribution. Also we investigate the asymptotic normality of $T_2={{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2/p_{i}$ where the minimum expected cell frequency is very small.

In this study, ion release and biocompatibility of sintered Ni-Cr-Ti alloy for dental prosthodontics have been researched by corrosion and cell culture test. The microstructures of the alloys were observed by optical microscope, and corrosion behavior was investigated using potentiostat (Model PARSTAT 2273, EG&G, USA). Cell culture was carried out using hGf cell in DMEM (Welgene Inc., South Korea) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) (Welgene Inc., South Korea) and antibiotic antimycotic solution (Welgene Inc., South Korea). After corrosion and cell culture test, surface morphologies were observed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy. For wettability behaviors, contact angles were measured by wettability test. As the content of Ti increased, the number of pit decreased and the corrosion resistance was improved from anodic polarization test, also, polarization resistance of samples containing Ti remarkably improved as compared with the alloy not containing Ti. The sintered alloy showed a low contact angle due to the pores formed on the surface. The addition of Ti element showed that the cell survival rate was better than that of the control group.

While analyzing the specimens before and after the thermal shock test, we found that the power drop rate of the bare cell was 5.08%, while the power drop rate of the ribboned cell was 16.49%. In comparative terms, the efficiency was lower at the ribboned cell than at the bare cell. While analyzing through EL (Electroluminescence) shots and cross sections, we tried to decipher the exact cause of the power drop. Although mere color change of the cell was observed at the surface of the bare cell, no abnormality could be found inside the cell. On the surface of the ribboned cell, the short circuit of gridfinger extended from the front part of the front electrode of the ribboned cells. Therefore, cracks occurred on the surface of the cell. Cracks also appeared inside the cell. While analyzing the I-V curve, we determined an increase in the leakage current and an increase of resistances in series in the bare cell. In the ribboned cell, the resistances in parallel reduced remarkably. An increase of resistances in series could also be verified. Conclusively, we deduced that the power drop rate in the bare cell is a life span of the cell itself; aging is the cause of power drop rate in cells. In case of ribboned cell, the power drop rate was directly influenced by internal cracks and an intermetallic compound layer joining the ribbon at the front electrode.
PURPOSE. The effects of four different self-adhesive resin cement materials on cell viability and apoptosis after direct and indirect exposure were evaluated using different cell culture techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Self-adhesive cements were applied to NIH/3T3 mouse fibroblasts by the extract test method, cell culture inserts, and dentin barrier test method. After exposure periods of 24 h and 72 h, the cytotoxicity of these self-adhesive materials was evaluated using the MTT assay (viability) and the Annexin-V-FITC/PI staining (apoptosis). RESULTS. The lowest cell viability was found in cells exposed to BeautiCem SA for 24 h in the extract test method. Cell viability was reduced to 70.6% compared to negative controls. After the 72 h exposure period, viability rate of cell cultures exposed to BeautiCem SA decreased more than 2- fold (29.5%) while cells exposed to RelyX U200 showed the highest viability rate of 71.4%. In the dentin barrier test method, BeautiCem SA induced the highest number of cells in apoptosis after a 24 h exposure (4.1%). Panavia SA Cement Plus was the material that caused the lowest number of cells in apoptosis (1.5%). CONCLUSION. The used self-adhesive cements have showed different cytotoxic effects based on the evaluation method. As exposure time increased, the materials showed more cytotoxic and apoptotic effects. BeautiCem SA caused significantly more severe cytotoxic and apoptotic effects than other cements tested. Moreover, cements other than BeautiCem SA have caused necrotic cell death rather than apoptotic cell death.

EAV-2, which has a solar cell, fuel cell and battery as its power sources, is under development by KARI. Electric power sources are selected through voltage matching without power converter and controller and tested. The ground integrated test for integrated system is performed during 5 hr. it is confirmed that battery's power response is faster than other power sources at starting and transient condition, fuel cell and solar cell are a major electrical power during cruise condition. It is revealed that the used energy portions of fuel cell, solar cell and battery are 68%, 29%, 2.5% respectively.
Purpose: Current common method of cytotoxicity evaluation for elastomeric impression materials use animal based cell lines, which the clinical relevance has been often questioned. Hence, the purpose of this study was to examine the difference in results with both human based and animal based fibroblast cell line. Materials and Methods: Three types of fibroblast cells were used in this study; conventional mouse fibroblasts of L929, human gingival fibroblasts (HGF-1), and immortalized human oral fibrobalsts (hTERT-hNOF). Test on extract and test by direct contact using different commercially available elastomeric impression materials were carried out according to the international standards. Result: There was significant difference in cell viability between types of fibroblasts cell used, where HGF-1 showed highest cell viability and L929 the lowest. Conclusion: Within the limitation of this study, careful consideration must be given when selecting the cells and interpreting the results for cytotoxicity evaluation of elastomeric impression materials, where use of human based cell lines such as hTERT-hNOF would be appropriate for both ease of cytotoxicity test and clinical relevance.
The code and standards related to fuel cells were analyzed to derive the SOFC(Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) stack safety performance evaluation items and evaluation methode. Safety performance evluation of the SOFC stack was tested by quoting derived test items. The stack used in the test is an anode-supported type 2 Cell stack (Active surface area : 220cm) manufactured by MICO Inc, and SOFC stack safety performance evaluation system used for the test is self-manufactured. We conducted a leakage test, current voltage characteristic test, rated output test, and power response characteristics test. In the safety performance evaluation test, the stack showed no gas leakage, the maximum output and rated output was recorded to 65.6 W(1.41 V, 46.5 A, $422mA/cm^2$), 62.3 W(1.57 V, 40 A, $363mA/cm^2$). In the power response characteristics test verified that the output is kept stable within two seconds. At the maximum load (40 A) and the minimum load (8 A), the output was recorded 62 W and 16W in $750^{\circ}C$. This study will contribute to the universalization and to provide much safe environment of operating the solid oxide fuel cell system.
The increasing size of very large scale integration (VLSI) circuits, high transistor density, and popularity of low-power circuit and system design are making the minimization of power dissipation an important issue in VLSI design. Test Power dissipation is exceedingly high in scan based environments wherein scan chain transitions during the shift of test data further reflect into significant levels of circuit switching unnecessarily. Scan chain or cell modification lead to reduced dissipations of power. The ETC algorithm of previous work has weak points. Taking all of this into account, we therefore propose a new algorithm. Its name is RE_ETC. The proposed modifications in the scan chain consist of Exclusive-OR gate insertion and scan cell reordering, leading to significant power reductions with absolutely no area or performance penalty whatsoever. Experimental results confirm the considerable reductions in scan chain transitions. We show that modified scan cell has the improvement of test efficiency and power dissipations.

This paper presents a development of the recoil rod pull force measurement system suing the load cell with a sleeve normally available in the recoil system test. The commercial load cell cannot be used in the test of recoil system floating the breach contact point freely in the air. The load cell is designed and manufactured to meet the recoil system test condition. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the accuracy of the developed measurement system is within $\pm$0.5%. We notice that the measurement technique proposed in this paper is accurate and useful in the recoil rod pull force measurement of the recoil system.
