편측 대퇴절단자의 보행 시 건측 하지 관절 모멘트 분석 (Analysis of Joint Moment in the Intact Limb With Uni-Transfemoral Amputee During Level Walking)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in joint moment in the intact limb of uni-transfemoral amputees and to identify the implications of knee osteoarthritis. As an experimental method, three-dimensional gait analysis was performed on 10 uni-transfemoral amputees and 10 healthy males. Kinematics and kinetics at the hip, knee, and ankle joint were calculated. As a statistical method, independent t-tests were conducted to perform a comparison between the transfemoral amputee group and the control group. The results showed that the external knee adduction moment increased in the transfemoral amputee group (.22 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (.13 Nm/kg) at terminal stance (p=.008). External knee flexion moment also increased in the transfemoral amputee group (.24 Nm/kg) but this difference was not statistically significant. External hip flexion moment increased in the transfemoral amputee group (1.35 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (.45 Nm/kg) at initial stance, and external hip extension moment decreased in the transfemoral amputee group (-.26 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (-.76 Nm/kg) at terminal stance. Although external ankle plantarflexion moment of the transfemoral amputee group increased, it was not found to be statistically significant. The results suggest that the intact limb joint moment of the uni-transfemoral amputees during walking can be different from that of healthy subjects. In conclusion, it was found that there is a link between the increase of external knee adduction moment and the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis in uni-transfemoral amputees. This result is expected to provide some objective data for rehabilitation programs related to knee osteoarthritis in transfemoral amputees.

The Influence of High-heeled Shoes on Kinematics and Kinetics of the Knee Joint during Sit-to-stand task

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the change in the kinematics and kinetics of the knee joint depending on high-heeled shoes during sit-to-stand (SitTS) task. Methods: Nineteen healthy females participated in this study. The subjects performed the SitTS task wearing high-heeled shoes and barefoot. The experiment was repeated three times for each task with foot conditions. The kinematics and kinetics of the knee joint were measured and analyzed using a 3D motion analysis system. Results: The result of this study showed kinematic and kinetics differences in knee joints during the SitTS task based on high-heeled shoes. Significant differences in knee flexion angle were observed during SitTS. The knee extensor force showed statistically significant differences during SitTS tasks. At the initial of SitTS, the knee flexor and extensor moment showed significant differences. The knee extensor moment showed statistically significant differences at the terminal of SitTS. At the maximum of SitTS, the knee extensor moment showed statistically significant differences. Conclusion: Therefore, wearing high-heeled shoes during SitTS movements in daily life is considered to influence knee joint kinematics and kinetics due to the HH, suggesting the possibility of increased risk of patellofemoral pain, and knee osteoarthritis caused by changes in loading of the knee joint.

McConnell 테이핑과 Kinesio 테이핑이 무릎넙다리통증증후군 환자의 계단 올라가기 시 통증과 다리관절 각도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of McConnell Taping and Kinesio Taping on Pain and Lower Extremity Joint Angles During Stair Ascent in People with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of McConnell taping and Kinesio taping on pain and lower extremity joint angles when patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) ascend stairs. Methods: Fifty young adults who were experiencing anterior knee pain due to PFPS were selected as participants. Then, 25 patients were randomly assigned to the McConnell taping group and 25 to the Kinesio taping group. Pain and lower extremity joint angle were measured while ascending stairs before and after the intervention. A paired t-test was performed to evaluate the amount of change in the parameter values after the intervention within the groups, and an independent t-test was used to compare the results of the groups. Results: In the within-group comparisons, a statistically significant difference was found in both groups between the anterior knee pain scale scores recorded before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). A statistically significant difference was also found between the groups (p < 0.05). Comparison of the lower extremity joint angles at initial contact, loading response, terminal stance, and pre-swing within the groups showed that there were statistically significant differences in the hip, knee flexion, abduction, lateral rotation, and dorsiflexion angles in both the McConnell and Kinesio taping groups (p < 0.05). There was also a statistically significant difference in all angles between the groups during the following events (p < 0.05): (1) at initial contact, (2) at loading response (except hip flexion angle), (3) at terminal stance (except hip flexion and lateral rotation angles), and (4) at pre-swing (except hip, knee abduction, and inversion angles). Conclusion: McConnell taping and Kinesio taping both effectively improved the occurrence of knee pain and the lower extremity joint angles during stair ascent in patients with PFPS. However, McConnell taping had a significant impact on pain reduction and lower extremity joint angles compared to Kinesio taping.

A Joint Allocation Algorithm of Computing and Communication Resources Based on Reinforcement Learning in MEC System

  • For the mobile edge computing (MEC) system supporting dense network, a joint allocation algorithm of computing and communication resources based on reinforcement learning is proposed. The energy consumption of task execution is defined as the maximum energy consumption of each user's task execution in the system. Considering the constraints of task unloading, power allocation, transmission rate and calculation resource allocation, the problem of joint task unloading and resource allocation is modeled as a problem of maximum task execution energy consumption minimization. As a mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, it is difficult to be directly solve by traditional optimization methods. This paper uses reinforcement learning algorithm to solve this problem. Then, the Markov decision-making process and the theoretical basis of reinforcement learning are introduced to provide a theoretical basis for the algorithm simulation experiment. Based on the algorithm of reinforcement learning and joint allocation of communication resources, the joint optimization of data task unloading and power control strategy is carried out for each terminal device, and the local computing model and task unloading model are built. The simulation results show that the total task computation cost of the proposed algorithm is 5%-10% less than that of the two comparison algorithms under the same task input. At the same time, the total task computation cost of the proposed algorithm is more than 5% less than that of the two new comparison algorithms.

인공 종양대치물을 이용한 사지구제술후의 보행 분석 (Gait Analysis of Patients with Tumor Prosthesis around the Knee)

  • Prosthetic replacement is one of the most common methods of reconstruction after resection of malignant tumor around the knee. Gait analysis provides a relative objective data about the gait function of patients with prosthesis. The purpose of this study was to compare the gait pattern of the patients who underwent limb salvage surgery with prosthesis for distal femur and that of patients with prosthesis for proximal tibia. This study included ten patients (4 males, 6 females, mean age 22.7 years, range 14-36) who underwent a wide resection and Kotz hinged modular reconstruction prosthesis replacement and six normal adult(Control). The site of bone tumor was the distal femur (Group 1) in six patients and proximal tibia (Group 2) in 4 patients. The follow-up period ranged from 15 to 82 months (mean : 33 months). The evaluation consisted of clinical assessment, radiographic assessment, gait analysis using VICON 370 Motion Analysis System. The gait analysis included the linear parameters such as, walking velocity, cadence, step length, stride length, stance time, swing time, single support and double support time and the three-dimensional kinematics (joint rotation angle, velocity of joint rotation) of ankle, knee, hip and pelvis in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. For the kinetic evaluation, the moment of force (unit: Nm/kg) and power (unit: Watt/kg) of ankle, knee and hip joint in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. In the linear parameters, cadence, velocity, step time and single support were decreased in both group 1 and group 2 compared with control. Double support decreased in group 2 compared with control significantly(p<.05). In contrast to our hypothesis, there was no significant difference between group 1 and group 2.   • Recently, the number of consumers using digital online distribution platforms is increasing. This caused the rapid growth of the e-commerce market and increased delivery volume in urban areas. The logistics system, designed ar006Fund the city center to handle the delivery volume, operates a delivery system from the outskirts of the city to the urban area using cargo trucks. This maintains an ecosystem of high-cost and inefficient structures that increase social costs such as road traffic congestion and environmental problems. To solve this problem, research is being conducted worldwide to establish a high-efficiency urban joint logistics system using urban railway facilities and underground space infrastructure existing in existing cities. The joint logistics system begins with linking unmanned delivery automation services that link terminal delivery such as cargo classification and stacking, infrastructure construction that performs cargo transfer function by separating from passengers such as using cargo platform. To this end, it is necessary to apply the device to the vertical and horizontal transportation machine supporting the vertical transfer in the flat space of the joint logistics terminal, which is the base technology for transporting cargo using the transfer robot to the destination designated as a freight-only urban railway vehicle. Therefore, this paper aims to derive holistic viewpoints needs for design requirements for vertical and vertical transportation machines and freight transportation standard containers, which are underground railway logistics transport devices to be constructed by urban logistics ecosystem changes.

Analysis of the DC Resistance of the Butt Joint using the Random Contact Patterns of Strands

  • The butt joint was verified to satisfy the thermal stability of the ITER magnet system through the ITER CS model coil test. Since the contact area in the butt joint is limited to the cross section of the cable, it is necessary to analyze and control the joining parameters precisely for improving the DC resistance. It is difficult to simulate the cables, which are composed of a lot of strands, as three-dimensional models using the commercial code. The random numbers were used to simulate many kinds of contact patterns of the strands on the bonding surface for calculating the bonding area and the DC resistance of the butt joint. The calculated DC resistance decreases with an increase of cable filling factor in terminal. The calculated DC resistance of a 0.9 cable filling factor is about 0.48 n-Ohm, which is about one-tenth of that in the CS model coil test when not considering the electrical contact resistance. From this difference, the electrical contact resistance between the strands and copper sheet was calculated.

클램 운동 시 운동범위에 따른 엉덩관절 벌림근의 활성도와 사용 비교 (Comparison of Activity and Use of Hip Abductor Muscle Group According to Range of Motion during the Clam Exercise)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the muscle activity of the hip abductors and the ratio between the hip abductor muscle group according to the range of hip abduction during the clam exercise. Methods: This study was conducted on 18 healthy men in their aged 20 to 29 who had not been diagnosed with spine-related diseases. The subjects performed a clam exercise without rotation of the pelvis in a state of 60° hip flexion and 90° knee joint flexion in the side-lying position. Using Myomotion equipment and EMG, the muscle activity of the hip abductor muscles and the activity ratio between the hip abductor muscle group were measured during the clam exercise by dividing the range into initial, mid-range, and terminal sections. Repeated measures analysis of variants was employed to compare the activity and use of hip abductor muscles according to range of motion during the clam exercise. Results: Gluteus medius muscle activation was significantly increased in the comparison of muscle activity in the initial, mid-range, and terminal sections of hip abduction. Tensor fasciae latae muscle activation was significantly increased in the comparison of muscle activity in all range of motion sections as well. The gluteus medius-tensor fasciae latae muscle activation ratio was significantly increased in the terminal section compared to the initial section. Conclusion: The gluteus medius and tensor fasciae latae had higher muscle activities as they approached the terminal section during the clam exercise, and the hip abduction activity ratio of the gluteus medius and tensor fasciae latae was higher as the range of motion approached the terminal section.

GPS 연동 IS-95C 멀티미디어 단말기 구현 (Implementation of IS-95C Multimedia Terminal using GPS)

  • 본 논문에서는 CDMA이동통신망을 이용하여 뉴스속보, 일기예보 , 스포츠 뉴스 , 문화계 소식 등의 생활정보를 제공하고 동영상/정지영상/자막광고 등을 표출하는 멀티미디어단말기를 구현하였다. GPS 위성을 이용하여 역사나 정류장 안내를 자동화함으로써 대중교통 운전자의 운행 안정성을 제고함은 물론 승객에게 유용한 정보의 제공을 도모할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 CDMA2000 1×(IS-95C)이동통신망을 통한 실시간 동영상 전송을 실험하였으며, 시스템과 각 모듈을 제어하는 스케줄러를 개발하여 열차와 버스에서 성능 테스트를 하였다. 차량환경에서 높은 신뢰도를 갖도록 설계된 임베디드 프로세서 시스템은 높은 안정성을 보였으며, 이동체에서의 고속 데이터 통신은 IS-95C 통신망에서 약 74Kbps를 나타내었다.

Port Competition and Co-operation as a Strategy of Busan Port

  • The maritime logistics environment including seaborne trade, shipping and ports is changing rapidly and continuously. Large containerships, mega carriers and global terminal operators try to achieve economies of scale and economies of scope. As a result of the changing environment, the competition between ports to achieve competitiveness is intensive. Port competition among China, Japan and Korea is becoming fiercer, both directly and indirectly, resulting from the increased trade in northeast Asia. Port development projects within each country stimulate more intensive port competition. As a result, overcapacity, fierce price competition and overlapping hinterland problems will be caused in the future. Co-operation for survival is considered as a strategy in order to solve anticipated problems caused by port competition Busan port, for instance, could co-operate with China and Japan as well as with other ports in Korea Terminal operators' expansion through investments including joint-ventures will make connections between ports smoother. At the port authority level, continuous cooperative interchange between countries is indispensable.
