질병단계에 따라 암환자, 돌보는 가족원, 간호사의 간호요구 지각 비교 (The Comparison of the Perceived Needs between Patients with Cancer, their Caregivers, and Nurses According to the Cancer Patient,s Phases of Illness)

  • This descriptive study was conducted to ascertain whether the needs of patients with cancer, their caregivers and their nurses changed according to the illness phases and if the perceived needs of the three groups were different for three categories of nursing needs. At two hospitals in Seoul and Choongnam, three groups of subjects, -patients with cancer(79), caregivers(92), and nurses(72) - responded to a questionnaire consisting of items on educational need(11 items), physical need(8 items), emotional need(9 items) using a 4-point Likert scale. The patients and caregivers were selected according to the phase of the cancer (initial, intermediate or recurred, terminal phases). Finding revealed that the level of perception and degree of satisfaction of the needs were low, just around two points in patients and caregivers. Of the three categories of needs, physical needs were received the highest score and the degree of satisfaction of physical needs was also the highest. There was no significant difference between the level of perception and satisfaction of needs in patients and caregivers according to the phases of the illness and the degree of per reception and the satisfaction of the patients were not significantly different and caregivers showed the same result. There was a significant difference in the level of importance of the needs of nurses according to the phases of the cancer. They perceived emotional needs were the most important in first phase and second phase, physical needs in third phase and the educational needs were more important in the first phase than in any other phase. The degree of importance of needs was significantly lower than the degree to which needs were addressed, according to the nurses response. In a comparison of patient and caregiver's perceived degrees of need, and need satisfaction, and nurse's perceived degree of need provision, patient and caregiver scores were lower than the nurses.

버스정보안내기 이용요인 및 활성화 방안에 관한 실증연구 : 부산광역시를 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on the Factors to Affect a BIS Use and Its Vitalization Plan : Busan Metropolitan City)

  • The government has implemented operating the bus information terminal (hereinafter, 'BIT') to use by building it at a major bus station to solve the problem of traffic congestion. Busan Metropolitan City has been continuously expanding the installation of 'BIT' since 2003. However, there are few research on the factor to use and satisfaction survey on 'BIT' from the perspective of the users. This study, in an effort to inquire into the 'BIT' utilization factor and its vitalization plan, conducted a face to face survey of 172 citizens who had the experience in the 'BIT'. The result of the data analysis showed that usability, convenience, and availability were the critical factors for a BIT use. In addition, the general intention to use 'BIT' was found to be very high as much as 90.7%. The contributions of this study are as follows. The academic contributions is that it proved the relationship between usability, convenience and the intention to use suggested by the information technology acceptance model is supported even in case of 'BIT.' For the practitioners this study provides ground data for a local government to make a plan of a BIT extension.

디지털교과서를 활용하는 초등학생의 VDT증후군 자각증상과 관련요인 (Factors of Video Display Terminal Syndrome in Elementary School Students Who Use Digital Textbooks)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with video display terminal (VDT) syndrome in students who use digital textbooks. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used, and 515 students were selected in 6 out of 20 designated as digital textbook research schools by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST). Results: The subjective symptoms of VDT and their degree of severity in participants were similar to those in general students. Approximately 12.5% of the participants were classified as a potential risk group for VDT syndrome. In the potential risk group, the mean of the subjective symptoms of VDT was above normal ($2.53{\pm}0.52$). Related factors were identified using logistic regression analysis and included being female (odds ratio [OR]= 2.57, p=.002), communication time with family (<30 min) (OR=2.70, p=.006),moderate satisfaction with school life (OR=2.57, p=.003),and dissatisfaction with school life (OR=14.92, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to prevent the occurrence of VDT syndrome in students, it is necessary to urgently establish a preventative program and monitor the use of digital textbooks.

항만 경쟁력제고를 위한 항만물류기능과 항만품질수준간의 관련성 분석 (An Analysis of the Relationship between the Port-Logistics Function and Port-Quality for the Competitiveness of Port)

  • Since the mid 1980s, the concept of logistics has become more important to the enterprises in strategic sense because it had aggrandized itself to more comprehensive and integrative concept. Therefore study on the service organization of the logistics system for customer’s satisfaction from the management’s point has been focused as one of the major subject in order to improve the logistics quality which would ultimately increase the value of logistics service. This study has been focused on what the port logistics functions and the factors of the port logistics quality are those Korean port managers acknowledge as important factor. And examins these port logistics quality levels and the port logistics value (port productivity, service results) obtained by the results of these activities while reviewing the relation of the custom value which the port managers evaluate in order to evaluate and promote the competitiveness of the Korean port. According to the study results the port logistics function which the Pusan Container Terminal managers recognized as important were customer service management the flexibility of the port facilities and curtailment of the original operation cost of the port. It also indicated that the managers recognized the importance of the customer-oriented terminal management as it showed a close relationship with the port quality level.

컴퓨터(VDT : Visual Display Terminal) 노동의 지각반응과 인간화에 관한 연구 -(주)H통신 직원을 대상으로- (A Study on the Perceived Reaction & Humanization of VDT(Visual Display Terminal) Labor)

  • These days the use of personal computer has become generalized at factory, office, house, etc and this fact indicates that visual display terminal work became popular in every field of our society. The use of computer improves work efficiency, productivity & qualify but in addition, it also generated the physical and mental diseases or defects so called VDT syndrome to workers. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the computer-work-related anti-physical, anti-psychogenic symptoms & side effects through the data drawn from workers who use computers on their works, and to find out methods of improvement & humanization of computer works. The follows are the results of questions about personal sensibility of VDT syndrome. 1. Female workers are more sensitive to the side effects of computer labor than males. 2. Workers aged twenties feel more severe symptoms of VDT syndrome than thirties or fourties, but there are no level of significance. 3. Middle managements workers are the most sensitive group to VDT syndrome, on the other hand tow managements are less sensitive than operators. 4. The result of questions indicates that a phone conductress show more severe VDT syndrome symptoms than business affairs or an engineer workers, with level of significance. 5. The longer computer work engagement period, the more evident VDT syndrome symptoms appear. For instance, workers who have more than 2 year engagement period complain more severe symptoms, compared workers who have less than 2 year engagement period. 6. Long computer working time per day also increases VDT syndrome severity specially people who have more than 2 hours in working time in a day have much less severe symptoms, compared people whose daily working time exceeds 2 hours. 7. Specific body part which shows VDT syndrome symptoms is shoulder, wrist, neck, finger, eye, waist, arm in the order of severity. 8. Sensibility of VDT syndrome symptoms have effect on degree of vocational satisfaction.

인천국제공항 여객터미널 서비스 품질 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study for Measuring Service Quality in Incheon International Airport Focusing on the Passenger Terminal)

  • 오늘날 기업 경영에 있어서 경쟁력 있는 글로벌한 공급사슬의 형성을 중요하게 간주되고 있다. 특히, 물류 및 운송부문에 있어서 서비스를 매우 중요한 가치 영역으로 보고 있다. 더욱이 동북아 허브 공항이 되기 위한 치열한 경쟁 속에서 인천국제공항 여객터미널의 서비스품질은 매우 중요한 영역이다. 본 연구는 인천국제공항의 여객터미널 서비스품질 측정 요인 및 항목을 선정하고 이용자 및 서비스 제공자간의 인식의 차이를 측정하며 서비스품질에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인한 후, 선호투표에 의한 자료포락분석을 통해 서비스품질을 향상시킬 수 있는 선호 요인과 항목을 찾아내었다. 연구 분석 결과 첫째, 인천국제공항 여객터미널의 서비스품질에 대한 요인은 신뢰성, 반응성 보증성, 공감성, 교통운영 편의시설, 출입국 심사, 환경적 요인 등 8가지 요인. 33개의 항목이 선정되었다. 여객터미널 이용자 및 서비스 제공자간의 서비스품질 측정 결과, 총 33개 항목 중에서 공항이용객과 IIAC 직원들 간에는 29개의 항목, 공항이용객과 항공사 직원들 간에는 7개의 항목, 항공사 직원들과 IIAC 직원들 간에는 31개의 항목에서 서비스 이용자 및 서비스 제공자간에 인식의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 여객터미널 서비스품질 상업시설 서비스, 여객터미널 접근의 편리성, 항공사의 서비스품질, IIAC의 지역사회 공헌 등은 인천국제공항 서비스품질 전체 만족도에 영향을 미치는 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 밝혀냈다.

  • Baggage Handling System(BHS) is an important element of ground operation services and the importance is further emphasized as air demand increases and passengers change. If there is a problem with departure baggage handling, the aircraft's gate occupancy time will be longer than the initial plan, resulting in congestion of the anchorage leading to final passenger terminal and mooring and road congestion and arrival or It is delayed until the processing of the baggage of the connecting flight and it can cause an economic loss such as confusion in the operation of the airport. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the perception of service quality of BHS users on public Institutions performance through user satisfaction, user performance, and user loyalty. Analysis results using Structural Equation Model was suggested and its implication was discussed in the conclusion.

Factors Influencing Compassion Fatigue among Hospice and Palliative Care Unit Nurses

  • Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to explore nursing workplace spirituality, end-of-life care stress, and resilience as factors influencing compassion fatigue among nurses working in hospice and palliative care units. Methods: Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire completed by 146 nurses at 14 hospice and palliative care institutions across South Korea who had worked in a hospice and palliative care institution for at least 6 months and had experience providing end-of-life care. Data were collected from February 25, 2019 to April 12, 2019, and analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 18.0. As appropriate, descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, the Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression were used. Results: The survey results showed that factors influencing compassion fatigue were resilience, subjective health status, current satisfaction with the hospice ward, and end-of-life care stress. Higher levels of resilience, a subjective health status of "healthy", high levels of current satisfaction with the hospice ward, and lower levels of end-of-life care stress were associated with lower levels of compassion fatigue, explaining 42.9% of the total variance. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that resilience is an important factor mitigating compassion fatigue among nurses at hospice and palliative care institutions. Therefore, intervention programs should be developed to reduce compassion fatigue.

암환자 인식에 관한 연구 - 간호사ㆍ의사를 중심으로

  • This paper constitutes a descriptive investigation and used a structured questionnaire to investigate nurses' and doctors' recognition of cancer patients. The subjects were extracted from the medical personnel working at the internal medicine, the surgery ward, the obstetrics and gynecology department, the pediatrics department, the cancer ward, and the emergency room of five general hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The research lasted from August, 2001 to September 2001. Total 137 nurses and 65 doctors were included and made out the questionnaires directly distributed by the investigator. The study tool was also developed by the investigator and consisted of such items as the demographic and social characteristics, the medical personnel's recognition degree of cancer and cancer patients, their recognition of the management of cancer patients, and their participation in a hospice. The results were analyzed using the SPSS Window program in terms of technological statistics, ranks, t-test, and ANOVA. The reliability was represented in Cronbach' α=.75. The nurses' and doctors' recognition degree of cancer and cancer patients had an overall average of 3.86 at the 5 point-scale. The items that received an average of 4.0 or more included 'Medical personnel should explain about the cancer cure plans to the cancer patient and his or her family', 'A patient whose case has been diagnosed as a terminal cancer should be notified of it, 'If I were a cancer patient, I would want to get informed of it,' and 'Cancer shall be conquered whenever it is'. In the meantime, the items that received an average of 3.0 or less was 'My relationship with the cancer patient's family has gotten worse since I announced his or her impending death.' And according to the general characteristics and the difference test, the recognition degree of cancer and cancer patient was high among the subgroups of nurses, females, married persons, who were in their 30s, who had a family member that was a cancer patient, and who received a hospice education. The biggest number of the nurses and doctors saw 'a gradual approach over several days'(68.8%) as a method to tell a cancer patient about his or her cancer diagnosis or impending death. Those who usually tell tragic news were the physician in charge(62.8%), the family members or relatives(32.1%) and the clergymen(3.8%) in the order. The greatest number of them recommended a cancer patient's home as the place where he or she should face death because they thought 'it would stabilize his or her mentality'(91.9%) while a number of them recommended the hospital because they 'should give the psychological satisfaction to the patient'(40%) or 'should try their best until the last moment of the patient's death'(30%). A majority of the medical personnel regarded 'smoking or drinking' and 'diet' as the causes of cancer. The biggest symptom of a cancer patient was 'pain' and the pain management of a cancer patient was mostly impeded by the 'excessive fear of drug addiction, tolerance to drugs and side effects of drugs' by medical personnel, the patient, and his or her family. The most frequently adopted treatment plan of a terminal cancer patient was 'to do whatever the patient or his or her family wants' to resort to a hospice' and 'to continue active treatment efforts' in the order. The biggest reasons why a terminal cancer patient went to see a doctor were 'pain alleviation' 'control of symptoms other than pain(intravenous supply)' and 'incapability of the patient's family' in the order. Terminal cancer patients placed their major concern in 'spiritual(religious) matter' 'emotional matters' their family' 'existence' and 'physical matters' in the order. 113(58.5%) of the whole medical personnel answered they 'would recommend' an alternative treatment to a terminal cancer patient mostly because they assumed it would 'stabilize the patient's mentality.' Meanwhile, 80(41.5%) of them chose 'not to recommend it mostly due to the unverified effects and high cost of it(78.7%). A majority of them, I. e. 190(94.1%) subjects said they 'would recommend' a hospice to a terminal cancer patient mostly because they thought it would help the patient to 'mentally prepare'(66.6%) Only 17.3% of them, however, had received a hospice education, most of which was done through the hospital duty education(41.4%) and volunteer training(34.5%). The follows are results of this study: 1. The nurses and the doctors turned out to be still passive and experience confusion in dealing with a cancer patient despite their great sense of responsibility for him or her. 2.Nurses and Doctors realize the need of a hospice, but an extremely small number of them participate in a hospice education or performance. Thus, a whole recognition of a hospice should be changed, for which purpose a hospice education for nurses and doctors should be provided. 3.Terminal cancer patients preferred their home to a hospital as the place to face their impending death because they felt it would bring 'mental stability.' And most of nurses and doctors think it would be unnecessary for them to be hospitalized just for control of their symptoms. Accordingly a terminal cancer patient can be cared at home, and a home hospice care needs to be activated.

공항보안검색요원의 신기술 수용성이 공항보안업무의 직무만족도와 업무혁신성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Airport Security Screeners' New Technology Acceptance to the Innovation and Job Satisfaction of Airport Security)

  • 본 연구는 인천국제공항 제2터미널(T2)에 새로이 도입되어 점차 전국 공항으로 확대 적용되고 있는 원형검색장비를 사용하는 보안검색요원들의 인식을 연구의 대상으로 하였다. 이를 위해 기술수용통합모델(UTAUT)을 바탕으로 하여 연구를 진행하였다. 기술수용통합모델은 TAM의 유용성과 유사한 성과기대, 용이성과 유사한 노력기대, 그리고 사회적 영향, 행동의도, 촉진조건, 자기효능감 등으로 구성되어있다. 연구자는 성과기대, 노력기대, 자기효능감, 행동의도를 기술수용성을 측정하는 변수로 선정하였다. 실증분석 결과 보안검색요원들이 인식하는 그들의 성과기대, 행동의도 및 자기효능감은 조직혁신성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 보안검색요원들이 인식하는 행동의도 및 자기효능감은 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 노력기대는 조직혁신성과 직무만족도에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 보안검색장비 기술의 고도화로 인해 원형검색장비 사용이 쉽고 오랜 시간 동안 전문교육을 이수 받지 않아도 되고, 장비 사용에 익숙해지는데 오랜시간이 걸리지 않았기 때문이다. 따라서 모든 보안검색요원이 원형검색장비를 쉽게 사용하게 되면 조직혁신성의 효과는 더욱 향상될 것이라는 인과적 관계가 입증된 것이다. 조직혁신성은 원형검색장비를 사용하는 직원의 기술수용성과 직무만족도 사이에서 매개효과를 나타내었는데 공항은 신기술에 대한 관심, 최신 IT 기술의 도입 등을 통한 신기술에 대한 수용성을 증대하여 항공보안 조직의 혁신성을 제고해야 할 것이다.
