At present, Korean one-person households have been continuously increased in spite of the reduction of total population. The increasement of one-person household has become a social and institutional issue. It is necessary to response socially and economically to not only changes of housing demand but also the disadvantaged classes such as the socially weak and single elderly household from the national level. In this respect, this research examined the spatial distribution (such as the increasing area, high-density area, and majority area) of one-person household with census data in the city of Busan. The clusters of one-person households were selected by focusing on the spatial distributions by time series changes of 2000, 2005, and 2010 and considering their housing characteristics. In terms of policy efficiency, the clusters of one-person households to be supported by priority were derived by analyzing the census data from 6066 output areas in the city of Busan. As a result, lots of one-person households of juniors were distributed around the university town, office facility, and station service area. Lots of one-person households at middle-aged class were distributed in Busan's original downtown and mountain-side road. Generalizing these characteristics, cluster analysis was conducted. As a result, one-person household dense area in Busan could be classified into four types. This research should be utilized as a counterplan for increasing the housing demand of one-person household or basic data for supporting small housing supply policies in the future.
Urban space structure tends to have a significant change in accordance with maintenance of urban infrastructure such as a traffic route. For this reason, quantitative analysis has been needed to establish spatial distribution and location patterns by considering change of both road accessibility and urban infrastructure level, which can have the most pervasive influence in urban development process. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze spatio-temporal urban morphology through considering distribution patterns of road among transportation infrastructures, population, and spatial structure of metropolitan areas, focusing on Seoul where population growth and the size of urban area have been dramatically increased. For this, we firstly developed and constructed time-series GIS database by using satellite images and topographic maps of the last 70 years to analyze variables which affect urban growth and transportation. In particular, we analyzed the transform of the system of the street by Space Syntax which is able to grasp hierarchical spatial structure through visibility of space and spatial cognition in terms of accessibility. What's more, we analyzed and visualized the relationship urban morphology and road according the regions of Seoul through IPA(Importance Performance Analysis). In terms of the integration land-use and transportation, Space Syntax approach is expected to contribute to efficient urban planning through understanding the influence which various transportation phenomena has an effect on urban development patterns.
As the industrial paradigm shifts and the manufacturing industry declines, many changes also take place in the region as well. In this regard, interest in industrial heritage as a facet of cultural heritage is on the increase. In this paper, the meaning of regional 'cultural contents' as industrial heritage is investigated within the scope of specific region. It is meant to move beyond the viewpoint of considering industrial heritage as only relating to industrial machinery and relevant landmarks from the past. The concept of industrial heritage is established more clearly through the review policy and case study analysis of existing research; the analysis is conducted to investigate the characteristics associated with it, and then to explore how best to utilize it. In particular, this paper attempts to focus on how it operates within these parameters using a spatio-temporal context as much as possible, and concentrating on the recognition and experience of the subject of industrial heritage as being traceable through human story. This research is based on the case of 'Sapporo' which focuses on modern history based on historical importance, and the 'Cheongju' case study, which contrasts the former by focusing on urban regeneration using a spatial lens. This paper identifies the possibility of regional development through the examination of past identity and diversity in the present, and highlights the features that could be linked to future usability and development. In addition, it proposes the possibility that the cycle of regional development could change in the process of the different stages of territorialization, de-territorialization and re-territorialization.
This paper examines what is the content of Gusan's urban identity, represented by the film and how the contents and aspects of this city's identity interact with the structure of the films' discourse. weaves Gunsan and Seoul into continuously reorganized cities based on an interactive relation, rather than literal ones. Seoul in which the time for a film narrative is closed is converted into the starting point for tour to Gunsan. The both points in which audiences' ex post return occurs are the starting point for the time for the film discourse and the other point in which the title is suggested. The journey-type of the narrative structure in this film is a3-dimensional spiral-shaped, rather than a 2-dimensional circular regression. embodies the characteristics and the identity and apriority of two cities, based on such a spiral-shaped temporal and spatial structure. Seoul severs the relation between grand narrative/collective memory and small narrative/individual memory as an agnostic one, in other words, it is a city that cuts off cities, relations and memory and rejects the continuity of memory. On the other hand, Gunsan is a city in which both grand and small narrative and collective and individual memory coexist and both split and isolated mind are cured and mutually consoled. It describes Gunsan as the surplus space as a being for others, while expressing its identity as robust and literal thing. The film describes it as the field in which oppositional concepts such as historical interruption and continuity and spatial being for others and originality become 3-dimensional spiral ones, through the reciprocity between the narrative and the discourse structure. This paper has an implication, in that it examines how temporal and spatial relationship constituting the urban identity interacts with the structure of the film narrative.
To evaluate the effects of sleep habits on the powers of beta waves and the sensory motor rhythm of the electroencephalogram (EEG), female college student subjects were divided into four groups, according to their sleep habits, as follows: GSHG (Good Sleep Habit Group), CSHG (Common Sleep Habit Group: late bedtime), CSDG (Cognitive Sleep Disorder-Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome Group), and NSDG (Non-cognitive Sleep Disorder-Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome Group). Brain function was stimulated by reading a book for 3 min in the morning (9~12 am) and the EEG was measured. According to the results, the powers of the beta waves and sensory motor rhythm were not different during the resting period among the four groups. However, during the reading stimulation period, the powers of beta waves and the sensory motor rhythm in the GSHG were significantly greater than in the other groups ($p$ <0.05). Beta powers during stimulation also increased in all brain areas in the GSHG ($p$ <0.05). Interestingly, these were decreased in the frontal and temporal lobes in the CSHG by the reading stimulation ($p$ <0.05). On the other hand, sensory motor rhythm, which represents focusing efficacy, only improved in the GSHG. These results indicate that the brain's focusing function during the reading stimulation was not properly operating in the morning in the female college students who had a delayed bedtime and bad sleep habits.
This study examined the population movement of the young generation in accordance with the characteristics of housing market focusing on the housing problem of youth issues. Targeting 64 local governments in the seoul metropolitan area, the temporal range was decided as 2015. Setting up the rising population in 19-34 as a dependent variable, supposing that each age group shows different characteristics, it was divided into age groups in 19~34, 19~29, and 25~34. The population movement of the young generation in accordance with the characteristics of housing market was considered through the multiple regression analysis. In the results, the population movement of the young generation was influenced by the change in detached multi-family housing and the rate of housing supply. The increase of detached multi-family housing promoted the population inflow of the young generation while the population movement of the young generation was disturbed by the rising rate of housing supply. Also, when the local characteristics are not controlled, the young generation hesitates to enter the region where relatively high rent should be paid while the new housing supply focusing on apartment is hard to be selected by the young generation for residence because of the size and price. The population movement of the young generation looked quite different in each age group. The population inflow of the young generation in 19~29 was influenced when there were many officetels and non-apartments on top of detached multi-family housing. On the contrary, the population movement of the young generation in 25~34 was significantly influenced by the increase of the whole size of completed apartment area. Even though it was not the research subject of this study, among control variables, the financial independence and daily average number of get-on/off had effects on the movement of the young generation. It means that the housing type preferred by college students and social novices is different from the housing type preferred by the group with experiences in marriage and childbirth within the same young generation. Thus, it would be necessary to divide the purposes of policies for each subject when executing the youth housing policies.

This study analyzes the performance and characteristics of the fostering policies for the focusing on growth path and type occupied in the Technoparks. First, the companies occupied in the Technoparks have shown the characteristics of landing on an actual growth phase beyond the start-up and fostering phases, and when considering the possession of a dedicated R&D organization and the portion of highly educated technical personnel having masters and doctorate degrees, these companies have also entailed the characteristics of being a technological innovation company. Second, about 30% of the companies that left the Technoparks secured their own factories and offices after standing alone, indicating that the fostering function after startup in the Technoparks has been performing a significant role on the growth path of start-up companies from a temporal perspective. Third, a majority of the companies occupied in the Technoparks were composed of scale-up companies or preliminary scale-up companies that contained promising innovative growth potential. However, it seems to urgently require the acceleration of innovation because many companies are categorized into a stagnated growth type that demonstrates a high R&D investment but low sales revenue growth.

The "GeoDrifter" is a newly-developed surface drifter with high temporal resolution. It is the first time that high-frequency drifters have been deployed in the East/Japan Sea. The purpose of this study is to introduce the phenomena experienced by these drifters flowing along with the Tsushima Current across the East/Japan Sea, focusing on high-frequency variability, and to discuss them in comparison with previous observations. The observed basin-scale circulation of the Tsushima Current generally coincides well with the known schematic circulation. The GeoDrifter trajectories also show inertial oscillations almost everywhere in the oceanic regions of the East/Japan Sea, strong semi-diurnal tidal currents in the western part of Korea Strait, diurnal currents much stronger than semi-diurnal currents in the upstream region of the Nearshore Branch off the Japanese coast, and many warm eddies in the Yamato Basin, all comparable to the observational results reported in the previous studies. An interesting point is that the semi-diurnal tidal currents undergo a great spatial variation in the western part of the Korea Strait. The observed features that cannot be explained are, among others, strong counter-clockwise motions with oscillating period about 51 hours appearing in the upstream region of the Nearshore Branch off the Japanese coast and the different tidal behaviors between upstream and downstream regions of the latter.
Objectives : Ge Songping(戈頌平) was a medical doctor in Qing Dynasty during the late $19^{th}$ century who annotated the original texts of four medical classics and wrote Suwenzhigui (素問指歸), Shanghanzhigui(傷寒指歸), Jinkuizhigui(金匱指歸), and Shennongbencaojingzhigui (神農本草經指歸). This paper's objective is to compile information about his writings, and shed a light on the unique characteristic of his scholarly works. Methods : Information regarding Ge Songping's life has been gathered through existing research papers and the sources revealed in the introduction. His works were divided into different formal characters as listed in part of the introduction and in the table of contents. Contents related to Yinyang(陰陽) found in Suwenzhigui were studied in order to discover his unique scholastic character. After selecting and analyzing three texts related to Yinyang, some characteristic terms and emphasized contents were studied. Results : The review yielded knowledge about Ge Songping's life, the times of his publications, the meanings of the names of his books, and basic information abou them. In terms of his scholarstic works, he used the ideas he gained from Shanghanlun(傷寒論) to form his medical theory, and used this to write annotations for four types of medical classics. The features of his theory of Yinyang can be divided into four categories. First, he coined the term Qiye(氣液) to bring contrast between yinyang as yinye(陰液) and yangqi(陽氣). Second, he shaped the temporal and spatial structure of the circulation of yinyang based on Shierdizhi(十二地支). Third, he explained the relationship between yin and yang while mainly focused on yangqi. Fourth, he explained the physiology and pathology mechanisms while focused on the circulation of ascending and descending and the idea of mutual beneficiary.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research fields constituting the knowledge structure of the Korean Studies by applying hierarchical clustering method to domestic journal papers in Korean Studies. We analyzed 3,800 papers containing Korean author keyword that were listed in 14 kinds of Korean Studies journals published in 2004-2013, which have average impact factor more than 0.5 in 2011-2013. The results of the analysis show that the central research fields are the subjects related to political & social problems based on Confucian ideas focusing on Neo-Confucianism (Seonglihak) and Realist School of Confucianism (Silhak), to the political situation associated with territorial division of the Korean peninsula, and to the history from the period of japanese colonialism to modern and contemporary. It has been also found that the temporal backgrounds of researches in domestic Korean Studies were related to the modern times and the Joseon Dynasty periods, rather than the time of the ancient and contemporary.
