화재시 콘크리트의 열특성계수가 비정상 열전달해석에 미치는 영향 (An Effectiveness of Temperature-Dependency Thermal Properties in Transient Thermal Analysis of Concrete Structures Exposed to Fire)

  • This paper is currently being conducted to develop a nonlinear finite element analysis methods for predicting the structural behavior of reinforced concrete structures, exposed to fire. The changes in thermal parameters are discussed from the point of view of changes of structure and chemical composition due to the high temperature exposure. Although, this study considers codes standard fire for reinforced concrete frame, any other time-temperature relationship can be easily incorporated.

Modeling for Vacuum Drying Characteristics of Onion Slices

  • In this study, drying kinetics of onion slices was examined in a laboratory scale vacuum dryer at an air temperature in a range of $50-70^{\circ}C$. Moisture transfer from onion slices was described by applying the Fick's diffusion model, and the effective diffusivity was calculated. Temperature dependency of the effective diffusivity during drying process obeyed the Arrhenius relationship. Effective diffusivity increased with increasing temperature and the activation energy for the onion slices was estimated to be 16.92 kJ/mol. The experimental drying data were used to fit 9 drying models, and drying rate constants and coefficients of models tested were determined by non-linear regression analysis. Estimations by the page and Two-term exponential models were in good agreement with the experimental data obtained.

  • The creep behavior of Al-5vol.% SiC composite was investigated. The composite powder was produced by mechanical milling and hot extruded at $450^{\circ}C$ at ratio of 16:1. A creep test was carried out at a constant load at 598, 648, and 673 K. Using the steady-state equations, the threshold stress and the stress exponent of the creep as a function of temperature were determined. The stress exponent was found to be 3 at the temperature of 673 K and 8 at 598 and 648 K. The dependency of the threshold stress to temperature obeys the Arrhenius relationship with the energy term of $29\;kJ\;mole^{-1}$.

  • Europium doped yttrium vanadate ($YVO_4$:Eu) phosphor thin films were grown using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique on silicon substrate. The structural characterization carried out on a series of ($YVO_4$:Eu films at post annealing temperature in the range of 550 $^{\circ}C$-1150 $^{\circ}C$ indicating that films were preferentially (200) oriented at post annealing temperature above 950 $^{\circ}C.$ Photoluminescence of thin film increased with the increase of post annealing temperature and ambient oxygen pressure though the thin film has the powder-like surface morphology at oxygen pressure above 200 mTorr. Photoluminescence decay from $^5D_1$ level of $Eu^{3+}$ show the great concentration dependency, which can be used as a good parameter to control the composition of ($YVO_4$:Eu thin film.

Temperature Dependency on Conformational Sampling of 12-Crown-4 by Simulated Annealing

  • In this manuscript, we report a protocol to determine most of the lowest energy conformations from the ensemble of conformations. 12-crown-4 was taken as study compound to get the most of energy minima conformations. Molecular dynamic (MD) simulation for 1 nanosecond (ns) was performed at 300, 500, 700, 900 and 1100 K temperature. At particular interval conformations were sampled. Then Gaussian program was used to minimize compounds using PM6 energy levels. Duplicates were removed by checking energy as well as mirror image conformations, and only unique conformations were retained for the next $6-31+G^*$ level minimization. It was observed that upto certain increment in temperature the number of unique conformations were increased, but afterword it decreased.

  • Thermo-plastic has generally bad electrical characteristics at high temperature comparing to thermoset-plastics when the plastic apply to electrical power apparatus as an electrical insulator. To solve the problem, we study engineering plastics such as Polyamide and Polyphthalamide as a base resin. And filler of the engineering plastics is glass fiber. Electrical characteristics studied are permittivity, loss factor and breakdown strength according to temperature and frequency of measuring signal. Electrical characteristics of Polyphthalamide has good temperature and frequency dependency comparing to those of Polyamide.

초기재령 콘크리트의 수화도와 온도 및 습도분포 해석 (Determination of Degree of Hydration, Temperature and Moisture Distributions in Early-age Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서 초기재령 콘크리트의 단면 내 수화도와 온도 및 습도분포를 구하는 3차원 유한요소 해석 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 수화도에 따른 재료 모델을 제시하고, 수치해석 절차에 관하여 정립하였다. 재료물성이 급격히 변화하는 초기재령 콘크리트의 거동을 모사하는 과정에서 온도 및 습도에 관련된 재료 물성이 수화도에 따라 결정하였다. 또한 수분거동 연구는 경화한(mature) 콘크리트에 대해서는 여러 연구자에 의해 수행되었지만, 초기재령 콘크리트의 전달계수, 수분용량에 관한 연구는 제대로 정립되지 않은 실정이다. 또한 일반적으로 보통콘크리트에서 무시되는 수분감소항은 고강도 및 고성능 콘크리트의 자기건조(self-desiccation)와 관련된 자기수축(autogenous shrinkage)을 유발하고, 이는 구조물의 장기 내구성 및 사용성 측면에서 중요한 관심사이다. 따라서 본 연구는 초기재령 콘크리트의 온도 및 수축에 의한 응력을 평가하기 위하여, 고강도 및 고성능 콘크리트를 포함한 초기재령 콘크리트의 온도 및 수분거동을 적절히 표현하는 수학적 재료 모델을 제시하고, 콘크리트의 단면 내 수화도와 온도 및 습도분포를 결정하는 3차원 유한요소 해석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 해석프로그램을 이용한 수치해석 결과는 실험결과와의 비교를 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • This study was concentrated to investigate the dependency of recovery yield on the extraction conditions. From fruiting body, the extracted amount of polysaccharide was studied with various solvent. In order to maximize the yield, the optimum extraction conditions were elucidated with respect to solvent, temperature and time. In addition, the dialysis was applied to obtain the higher purity of polysaccharide with varying the exposure time.
