  • We have constructed loading apparatuses to electrical motor with a powder brake and a oil pump for load test of a several ten kilowatt-motor and performed load test with two motors. On operating the loading apparatus with a oil pump, temperature of the oil may excessively increase and fail to operate due to dynamic energy loss of equipment in oil loop. In order to control the oil temperature, factors of the energy loss were analyzed and the quantitative loss was calculated. Load tests of motors with two loading apparatuses constructed were successfully performed and strengths of each apparatus come out on operating.

  • In the current work, a poro-thermoelastic half-space issue with temperature-dependent characteristics and an inclined load is examined in the framework of the three-phase-lag model (3PHL) while taking into account the effects of magnetic and gravity fields. The resulting coupled governing equations are non-dimensional and are solved by normal mode analysis. To investigate the impacts of the gravitational field, magnetic field, inclined load, and an empirical material constant, numerical findings are graphically displayed. MATLAB software is used for numerical calculations. Graphs are used to visualize and analyze the computational findings. It is found that the physical quantities are affected by the magnetic field, gravity field, the nonlocal parameter, the inclined load, and the empirical material constant.

  • In order to provide effective operating conditions for the fan in a wet cooling tower with film fill, a new program to search for the minimum fan power was developed using a model of the optimal total annual cost of the tower based on Merkel's model. In addition, a type of design map for a cooling tower was also developed. The inlet water temperature and heat load were considered as key parameters. The present program was first validated using several typical examples. The results showed that for a given heat load, a three-dimensional graph of the fan power (z-axis), mass flux of air (x-axis, minimum fan power), and inlet water temperature (y-axis, maximum of minimum fan power) showed a saddle configuration. The minimum fan power increased as the heat load increased. The conventionally known fact that the most effective cooling tower operation coincides with a high inlet water temperature and low air flow rate can be replaced by the statement that there exists an optimum mass flux of air corresponding to a minimum fan power for a given inlet water temperature, regardless of the heat load.

  • This thesis is written about the Wired Logic Type Unit in developing equipment that the load is driven, that the interface unit connect with 1 Scan time to PO30 of operated PLC output contact with that a sensing signal of Temperature Sensor RSD Pt $100\Omega$ let generate the relay output of temperature controller and input the PLC. The PLC Test Kit in country that the PLC to be programmed at the PLC education place is able to drive the load, is done to do a education of PLC on status that interface process between PLC and load are disregarded. As Developing Kit for supplement this point, when the relay output of temperature controller to use Pt 100 of temperature sensor as mentioned on the former among every kinds of sensor feed back to the input of the PLC, as the equipment to act with real time system that the output contact of PLC operated to insert the WLTIJ among PC, PLC and the load, it can understand and see very easy the main principle of PLC use. The structure of WLTU to be a interface unit of load separated as to the point of contact and noncontact, sensor, indicating lamp and A contact and B contact that is belong to driving part, and a motor is belong to loading part.

  • Present study was undertaken to investigate the effects of composition ratio and temperature on the friction and wear of PTFE-polyimide composites under the atmosphere of nitrogen gas. The load range was 0.62-3.46 MPa, and the temperature range was room temperature and 200$^{\circ}$C. To mention some of the notable results, friction coefficient of PTFE 100% varied relatively little within the given load and temperature ranges. Polyimide 100% showed the lowest friction coefficient of 0.06 at 200$^{\circ}$C among all the experiments. PTFE 80%-polyimide 20% showed the lowest wear factors on the whole. Friction coefficient of PTFE 20%-polyimide 80% varied from the highest 0.35 to the lowest 0.09 among all the materials at room temperature, and showed almost the same lowest values with polyimide 100% at 200$^{\circ}$C. Suggestion of friction and wear mechanisms of the materials was tried to explain the observed phenomena including above mentioned results.

  • In this study, the actual energy consumption of the secondary side District Heating System (DHS) with different hot water supply temperature control methods is compared. The two methods are Outdoor Temperature Reset Control and Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control. While Outdoor Temperature Reset Control has been widely used for energy savings of the secondary side system, the results show that the Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control method saves more energy. In general, the Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control method lowers the supply temperature of hot water, and it reduces standby losses and increases the overall heat transfer value of heated spaces due to more flow into the space. During actual energy consumption monitoring, the Outdoor Temperature predictive Control method saves about 6.6% of energy when compared to the Outdoor Temperature Reset Control method. Also, it is found that at partial load condition, such as during daytime, the fluctuation of hot water supply temperature with Outdoor Temperature Reset Control is more severe than that with Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control. Thus, it proves that Outdoor Temperature Predictive Control is more stable even at partial load conditions.

  • This paper proposes Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA)-based forecasting algorithms using meteorological indices to predict seasonal peak load. First of all, this paper observes a seasonal pattern of the peak load that appears intensively in winter and summer, and generates ARIMA models to predict the peak load of summer and winter. In addition, this paper also proposes hybrid ARIMA-based models (ARIMA-Hybrid) using a discomfort index and a sensible temperature to enhance the conventional ARIMA model. To verify the proposed algorithm, both ARIMA and ARIMA-Hybrid models are developed based on peak load data obtained from 2006 to 2015 and their forecasting results are compared by using the peak load in 2016. The simulation result indicates that the proposed ARIMA-Hybrid models shows the relatively improved performance than the conventional ARIMA model.

  • It is necessary to estimate the cooling load of the next day for effective control of ice thermal storage system. In this paper, new methodology is proposed to estimate the cooling load using design parameters of building and predicted weather data. Only six input parameters such as sensible heat coefficient and constant, latent heat coefficient and constant, maximum and minimum temperature are necessary to obtain hourly distribution of cooling load for the next day. Two benchmarking buildings(hospital and research institute) are selected to validate the performance of the proposed method, and the estimated cooling loads in hourly and daily bases are calculated and compared with the measured data for E hospital. The estimated results show fairly good agreement with the measured data for both buildings.

  • In the present study, optimal heat supply algorithm which minimize the heat loss through the distribution pipe line in group energy apartment was developed. Variation of heating load of group energy apartment building in accord with the outdoor air temperature was predicted by the heating load-outdoor temperature correlation. Supply water temperature and mass flow rate were controlled to minimize the heat loss through distribution pipe line. District heating apartment building located in Hwaseong city, which has 1,473 households, was selected as the object building for testing the present heat supply a1gorithm. Compared to the previous heat supply system, 10.4% heat loss reduction can be accomplished by employing the present method.

  • In this paper, simple AT-cut crystal resonator utilizing $Bi_{0.5}(Na_{0.84}K_{0.16})_{0.5}TiO_3$ relaxator ceramics as load capacitator were designed and their frequency-temperature characteristics were investigated. In order to modify temperature dependance of dielectric constant, $Bi_{0.5}(Na_{0.84}K_{0.16})_{0.5}TiO_3$ ceramics were manufactured with the variations in Sr substitution. At the composition with $6\;mol\%$ Sr substitution as load capacitator, frequency-temperature characteristics of AT-cut crystal resonators with the series load capacitance were similarly varied as those of cut orientation variation, and also compensated.
