Mechanical behavior of a fuel stack was studied using an orthotropic material model. The fuel stack is essentially composed of a bipolar plate (BP), a gasket, an end plate, a membrane electrolyte assembly (MEA), and a gas diffusion layer (GDL). Each component is fastened with a suitable pressure. It is important to maintain a suitable contact pressure distribution of BP, because it influences the power efficiency of the fuel cell stack. When it is exposed to high temperature, its behavior must be stable. Hence, we performed stress analysis at high temperature as well as at room temperature. At high temperature, the contact pressure distribution becomes poor. Many patents have shown that using an elastomer can overcome this phenomena. Its effect was also studied. By using an elastomer, we found a good contact pressure distribution at high temperature as well as at room temperature.
The internal temperature will change depending on operation conditions and material of cyclone dust collector. This study compares the results of collection efficiency and temperature distribution on the different heat flux at wall of dust collector. The previous researcher's experiment results were used to confirm the reliability of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) model. Based on this verified CFD model, we extended the analysis on the cyclone dust collectors. In CFD study, we used RNG k-epsilon model for analysis of turbulence flow, fluid is air, the velocity at inlet is 10 m/s, the temperature of air is $600^{\circ}C$. Because of the difference of outer vortex and inner vortex temperature, the collection efficiency will reduce with the increase of heat flux, showed the highest collection efficiency at heat insulation.

Nonlinear temperature distribution induced by the hydration heat generates thermal stress in mass concrete. At early ages, such thermal stress may induce thermal cracks in the structure which can affect on the durability and safety of the structure. Up to now, a lot of works have focused on the prediction of temperature distribution and thermal stress in the structure. In most of such works, however, the inside of structure was considered as adiabatic state to predict temperature distribution and the thermal stress. And due to the lacks of appropriate analysis models after crack, there was little research on the crack occurrence. This paper deals with the prediction of the temperature distribution in the structure using the rate of hydration heat generation and also estimates the behavior of structure before and after cracking due to hydration heat using crack band model.
Recently, the efficiency of power transformer is improved as well as the size is becoming smaller. So, it is very important that temperature characteristics of the transformer should be estimated and predicted precisely. This paper deals with the temperature distribution of power transformer by simplified 2-D hybrid mesh model. The temperature distribution of model transformer was obtained by CFD algorithm considering natural convection. Heat sources are calculated first by magnetic field analysis based on F.E.M. and are usedas the input data for thermal field problem based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) algorithm. The calculated temperature distribution of the simplified 2-D power transformer model shows good results in accuracy as well as in computing time.
Distribution of local critical temperature and current density in $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$ (YBCO) coated conductors was analyzed using a Low-temperature Scanning Laser Microscopy (LTSLM). We prepared YBCO coated conductors of various bridge types to study the spatial distribution of critical temperature and current density in single and multi bridges. An LTSLM system was modified for a detailed two-dimensional scan without shifting of the sample. We observed a spatial distribution of the critical temperature from the bolometric response, which arises from a focused laser beam at the sample near the superconducting transition. Also we studied the relation between the critical temperature and the current density.
In this paper, temperature distribution of 24 MVA distribution cast-resin transformers is analyzed by using CFD. Usually heat generated in transformer causes many problems. To radiate the heat, conduction and convection are done through the duct between winding. Considering natural convection, fluid analysis is applied to the fluid region surrounding the transformer. As a result of the analysis, hot spot temperature point is predicted at the low-voltage winding. Through this paper, heat distribution and cooling characteristics property can be predicted by analyzing transformer heating characteristic required when designing.

It is very difficult to analyze the transient temperature distribution during quenching of the steel because of coupled effects among temperature, structures and stresses. In this paper, using Inoue's equation of evolution and mixture rule, transient temperature distribution is calculated by the finite element method considering latent heat of transformation structure and temperature dependence of physical and mechanical prperties for the 0.45% carbon cylindrical steel bar with 40mm diameter and 20mm height during end-quenching.
LOCA (Loss Of Coolant Accident) is one of the most important utmost accidents for Prestressed Concrete Containment Vessel (PCCV) due to its coupled effect of high temperature and inner pressure. In this paper, heat conduction analysis is used to obtain the LOCA temperature distribution of PCCV. Then the elastic internal force of PCCV under LOCA temperature is analyzed by using both simplified theoretical method and FEM (finite element methods) method. Considering the coupled effect of LOCA temperature, a nonlinear elasto-plasitic analysis is conducted for PCCV under utmost internal pressure considering three failure criteria. Results show that the LOCA temperature distribution is strongly nonlinear along the shell thickness at the early time; the moment result of simplified analysis is well coincident with the one of numerical analysis at weak constraint area; while in the strong constrained area, the value of moments and membrane forces fluctuate dramatically; the simplified and numerical analysis both show that the maximum moment occurs at 6hrs after LOCA.; the strain of PCCV under LOCA temperature is larger than the one of no temperature under elasto-plastic analysis; the LOCA temperature of 6hrs has the greatest influence on the ultimate bearing capacity with 8.43% decrease for failure criteria 1 and 2.65% decrease for failure criteria 3.

In this paper, the arc beam is considered as a moving disc heat source with a pseudo-Gaussian distribution of heat intensity. The solution for temperature distribution on welds is derived by using the image heat source method and the superposition method. It is general solution in that it can determine the temperature-rise distribution in and around the arc beam heat source, as well as the width and depth of the melt pool (MP) and the heat-affected zone (HAZ) in welding short lengths, where quasi-stationary conditions may not have been established. As a comparative study, the results of this analytical approach has been compared with that of the finite-element modeling. As a result, The theoretical analysis presented here has shown good consistency and is more time/cost-effective method compared with FEM.

This research is intended to grasp the characteristics of heat flow inside auxiliary power device engine room to obtain the design basic data through numerical analysis and experiment. For experiment cost reduction, numerical analysis was done to obtain quantitative data by observing the change in temperature distribution of major parts according to changes in normal condition, incompressible condition, engine surface heat emission rate and absorption temperature with the use of commercial STAR-CD. The experiment was done by grasping the temperature distribution of major interested parts inside engine room in loaded and unloaded conditions during engine operation. The temperature distribution data here will serve as useful design data during APU engine room designing.
