A Study on Concatenation of Air & Sea Logistics' Information Using Telematics System;Case of Inchoen u-City (텔레매틱스 시스템을 이용한 항공 및 항만 물류 정보 연계에 관한 연구;인천 첨단물류도시 대상)

  • We proposed the concatenation of logistics' Information to constructing the intelligent logistics city that is to manage efficiently cargo distribution as providing at real-time information of cargo location trace and management through the Telematics/RFID. Case of the Incheon of the "Air Logistics Hub", this area is on an increasing trend on the quantity of cargo transport of the Air & Sea cargo system until 2006. As intelligent project of the Air's and the Sea's field is independently developed at each area, it is a problem on the concatenation of logistics' information such as freight location trace and management, operation management and route information of cargo vehicles. Therefore, we propose the advanced transport service model for the concatenating smoothly of Air & Sea cargo system. In this paper, we only manage the model of Air & Sea cargo system of the advance logistics city.

Telematics Specific Horizontal Distance Traveled by a Falling Car

  • Telematics services include automatic location tracking for emergency rescue, which is available for use in case of a car accident due to falling off roadways. This paper presents a simulation study on how far a car will fall before it hits the ground if it drops off of a roadway due to an accident or a natural disaster. The greatest horizontal distance the falling car can travel is presented in this paper, based on the assumption that air resistance as well as the direction and degree of acceleration due to gravity is negligible. This paper also presents the depth of the dent caused by the car sinking into the ground, the time it took for the car to fall free, and the velocity at which it travelled and horizontal distance it traveled. In this paper, the damage done to cars that crash into the ground and the dangers thereof are graphically represented.

  • Recently GPS has been playing an increasingly important role in geodesy and positioning, for example, car navigation system, surveying, ITS(intelligent transport systems), LBS(Location Based Service) and so on. For telematics application, reception conditions of GPS signal are important. In some situation, such as in areas between buildings, metropolitan areas or areas with large skyscraper complexes, there are situations whereby the satellite signal is seriously restricted by various obstacles. Before the signal arrives at the receiver, it may be blocked, reflected, delayed, attenuated or scattered by terrestrial obstacles such as buildings. In this paper, we present satellite imagery data for telematics application. Therefore, for propriety of this studies, we made a GPS satellite visibility experiments in Bun-Dang on same time. This paper describes an approach to calculate building level using 0.6m, 1m, 6.6m resampling aerial polo imagery in stead of the satellite imagery and make a comparative study of accuracy. This paper tests the simulation of GPS signal using the building level.

  • In the next generation backbone networks based on dense-wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), the routing and wavelength assignment with quality-of-service (QoS) recovery is essentially needed to support a wide range of communication-intensive and real-time multimedia services. This paper proposes a new dpmic routing method called as MW-MIPR (MultiWavelength-Minimum Interference Path Routing), which chooses a route that does not interfere too much with many potential future connection requests. This paper also proposes a differentiated RWA mechanisms combined with MW-MIPR algorithm to provide QoS recovery for various multimedia applications in the next generation backbone networks based on DWDM.

  • The methodology is suggested to measure the quality of service in telecommunications. Through questionnaire, the subjective evaluation of users is surveyed, and quantified by MOS method. The MOS mehtod has some problems in interpretation which are mentioned in this paper. The cumulative percent curve is proposed to evaluate the quality of service. As an example, the image quality of G3 facsimile is measured.

  • The terrestrial-DMB (T-DMB) provides one-way broadcasting service in intial phase and two-way interactive data services through a return channel of mobile communications network are commercialized recently. The possible evolution of the T-DMB will be fully convergence between the T-DMB and other communication services such as telematics, RFID and so on. From this evolution point of view, a framework should be defined for supporting telematics and RFID applications on T-BMB platform. In this paper, we propose an integrated service model that could support RFID application services on the interactive T-DMB. To realize the model, we design a service scenario, a network reference model, functionalities of each entity, a data transmission mechanism messages, and coding rules. The service model could allow users to support the identical RFID application services over the T-DMB network even if T-DMB terminal doesn't have RFID reader capability. In addition, in the case for providing the interactive TTI(Traffic and Travel Information)service, users could utilize the current location based RFID application service using by the TPEG-Location application that forms the basis of user location referencing.
