  • 모터의 정밀한 제어를 위해서 홀센서와 모터의 회전자 위치를 검출해내는 엔코더의 사용이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 BLAC모터의 회전자 위치검출 방법으로 자석과 디지털 신호처리 칩을 이용하여 엔코더와 홀센선의 기능을 구현하였다. 이러한 방법의 장점은 기구적인 구조가 단순하여 저가로 구현할 수 있다는 것이다. 단순 2극 자석이 칩의 중심점을 축으로 회전하면 칩 중심 부위의 통합적 홀소자가 칩 표면 자기장을 전압으로 변환한다. 이 신호를 받아 DSP의 아날로그/디지털 변환 기능을 이용하여 절대각도 위치 정보를 검출해내어 기존의 엔코더 성능을 대치하는 연구과정을 본 논문에서 보였다.

Complexity Reduction Algorithm of Speech Coder(EVRC) for CDMA Digital Cellular System

  • The standard of evaluating function of speech coder for mobile telecommunication can be shown in channel capacity, noise immunity, encryption, complexity and encoding delay largely. This study is an algorithm to reduce complexity applying to CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile telecommunication system, which has a benefit of keeping the existing advantage of telecommunication quality and low transmission rate. This paper has an objective to reduce the computing complexity by controlling the frequency band nonuniform during the changing process of LSP(Line Spectrum Pairs) parameters from LPC(Line Predictive Coding) coefficients used for EVRC(Enhanced Variable-Rate Coder, IS-127) speech coders. Its experimental result showed that when comparing the speech coder applied by the proposed algorithm with the existing EVRC speech coder, it's decreased by 45% at average. Also, the values of LSP parameters, Synthetic speech signal and Spectrogram test result were obtained same as the existing method.

  • Recently, mobile wireless data traffic has been dramatically increased due to not only the popularization of digital convergence devices including smart phone, Net-book, and Tablet PC, but also the vitalization of wireless Internet related eco-systems such as AppStore. In addition, it is expected that a tremendous increase in mobile data is caused by the release of unlimited mobile data plans (flat-fee). In order to deal with such mobile data traffic explosion, it is necessary that network operators should make efforts to offload wireless data traffic. This paper reviews the condition of mobile wireless data traffic in domestic and international telecommunication industry and looks for various action plans to overcome the difficulty of network operators.

  • This article presents the performance evaluation case study of circuit-switched WCDMA R5MSC(Mobile Switching Center) Server and CS-MGW(Circuit Switched Media Gateway) in 3'rd generation mobile telecommunication (UMTS : Universal Mobile Telecommunication System). The presented work adopted circuit switching scenarios recommended by 3GPP(Third Generation Partnership Project) and terrestrial spectrum calculation parameters and its values defined in ITU-R M.2023 and M.1390 to do the case study on performance evaluation of circuit switched system (R5 MSC Server and CS-MGW) in WCDMA core network. This paper describes test results by using simulator which substitutes for wireless section (MS, Node-B, RNC).

  • This paper covers induced voltage in parallel telecommunication cable with underground power cable to be linked between substations. The simulation was carried out the induced voltage in telecommunication cable according to the transposition of power cables and fault location for various conditions. This study based on the EMTP/ATPDraw with actual underground cable systems while the power cables are in steady state and transient state.

  • IoT(Internet of Thing)기술의 발전으로 다양한 분야에서 라즈베리파이(Raspberry Pi)와 같은 경량시스템으로, 실생활에 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 비전문 시스템에 대한 다양한 형태의 기술이 선보이고 있다. 한 예로, 스마트팜(Smart farm)분야에서는 다양한 온실 형태로 과실류를 재배하고 있으며, 보다 전문적인 챔버(Chamber)형태의 시스템으로는 관엽식물/채소/알뿌리식물/인삼 등 다양한 식물류에서 사용되어 질 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 챔버 시스템 상에 서버와의 연결 없이 정해진 생육 규칙에 따라 자동으로 제어 되는 라즈베리파이 엣지(Edge)에 기반한 챔버 제어 시스템에 대한 연구를 담고 있다.

  • Satellite Communication is able to send multi-channeld informations simultaneously including television traffic and has a merit which is easly connected to each other among earth stations. Therfore it has a important position as a international telecommunication system. But according to the diversities of telecommunication tn its quantity and quality, there must be introduction new high-capacity communications satellites or new telecommunication systems for a large step forward in international communications. To do so, there must be reexamination or complement in international conventions or regulations related to satellite communication as a basic background.

  • This is a thesis that 100W class open frame type power module of a quarter-brick size appropriate for telecommunication is reported. The input voltage is established between 36 and 75 in range in order for power module to be utilized for the telecommunication, and output were set at 3.3V and 30A. A number of parts used for transformer, inductor, and hit sink are composed of PCB in order for DC-DC converter to be lowered below 8 mm. A constant current control circuit was annexed to the system as well as basic protection prototypes such as over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature were well considered to enhance more credibility, and were tested. As a result, high circuit performance and credibility turned out to be significant.

  • 포그 컴퓨팅 기술은 물리적 환경과 빈번하게 상호작용이 일어나는 사이버-물리 시스템에서 네트워크의 엣지에 있는 시스템이 컴퓨팅 작업을 수행하도록 함으로써 지역의 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하고 처리할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 스쿨존내에서 안전을 높이기 위한 횡단보도의 신호등에 포그 컴퓨팅 기술을 적용한다. 신호등 시스템은 횡단보도에 접근하는 자동차를 인지하고, 위험 상황을 미리 방지하기 위해 자동차를 제어할 수 있다. 실험을 위해 사물인터넷 기술을 이용해 소형 테스트베드를 만들었으며, 신호 정보를 변화시키며 실험을 수행한다.

Network Effect and the Late Take-off Phenomenon in the Diffusion of Telecommunication Services (통신 서비스의 늦은 수요확산 현상과 네트워크 효과)

  • Telecommunication services are distinctive in that their adoptions are influenced by network effect resulting in 'the late take-off Phenomenon' and the 'critical mass' problem. In this paper we examined, so called, 'the late take-off phenomenon' in the diffusion process of telecommunication services. We compared the parameters of the diffusion process of consumer durables with those of fax services in the US and Korea. By analyzing the parameters of a new diffusion model based on the threshold model proposed by Markus, We found that 'the late take-off phenomenon' resulted from the low heterogeneity of the threshold distribution for the potential adopters.
