Colleges of technology in Japan are characterized by specialized education starting from the first grades aged fifteen, making it particularly important to provide motivation for specialized subjects. The most difficult thing for teachers in the technical college is giving the motivation to a professional education to the lower grades who don't know the technology and engineering. Teachers tried to use and make a suitable example or an education material for their lecture. The generation gap with students makes it difficult for teachers to use examples of objects that students are actually familiar with in their daily life. To compensate for the generation gap with students, we asserted that education for lower grades should adopt the perspectives of students in higher grades. The relative closeness in age of lower and higher grades helps reduce the generation gap with students, which is advantageous in that teachers can share the perspectives of students.

Technology use can dramatically enhance teachers' performance in teaching and administrative tasks. An Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) is a versatile tool that could provide just-in-time and on-the-job training when teachers need it. In order to design an effective EPSS for teachers, it is critical to identify their needs. This study used interviews to identify teachers' needs for technology by asking them about their workloads, the difficulty and time demands of tasks, and useful technologies. The implications of the findings for the design of an EPSS are discussed, including the necessity of an adaptive design of the EPSS.

This study attempted to examine the phenomenon of information society in education by exploring pre-service teachers' use of technology. Pre-service teachers from the USA and Korea participated in the study. Surveys and interviews were conducted to collect the data. The NET and ISST which are the national educational technology standards for each country were used as survey instruments. Focused interviews were conducted with 10 participants after analyzing the data for collecting more information. Based on the study results, technology is not deeply infused into education yet and the degrees of technology infusion were different in two countries. The participating pre-service teachers were not quite confident in their abilities to integrate technology into their lessons.

이 연구는 테크놀로지를 통합한 교사 교육 프로그램을 통하여 예비교사들이 TPCK 개발을 그리고 테크놀로지를 이용하여 학생들을 가르치는 동안 어떻게 그들이 실제교실에서 성공적이었는가를 묘사하였다. 다양한 자료들이 연구 문제를 해결하는데 정보를 제공하기 위해 사용되었다. 결국, 이 연구에서 교사교육 프로그램의 예비교사들이 TPCK를 이해하도록 돕는 것을 강조하는 것이 TPCK의 네 가지 요인에 의해 설명되어지는 예비교사들의 이해로 전이되었다. 하지만 신념, 교수, 테크놀로지 배경 다양성은 프로그램을 통하여 TPCK의 그들의 이해와 개발에 영향을 주었다.

이본 연구의 목적은 4차 산업혁명 시대 최신기술 도입을 앞두고 보육교사가 인식하는 기존 교육방법의 효과, 최신기술의 관심, 최신기술의 활용 및 최신 기술의 전망을 분석하고자 한다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기 지역의 보육기관에 근무하고 있는 원장 및 교사 총 181명으로 2020년 4월 27일부터 5월 10일까지 온라인 설문을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사는 현재 교육 방법 효과에 대해 보통 정도의 만족을 하고 있었다. 둘째, 최신기술에 대한 관심은 높지 않았다. 셋째, 최신기술을 현장에 적용하는 것은 보통이상 정도의 관심을 두고 있었으나 거부감도 다소 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 보육현장에서 최신기술에 대한 전망은 긍정적이며 특히, 최신기술의 도입이 보편화 될 것이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대를 앞두고 보육현장의 최신기술 활용에 바른 방향성 및 관련 교사연수 준비에 기초자료가 될 것을 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze middle and high school technology teachers' recognition and educational need about engineering education. For this, we surveyed secondary school technology teachers. The result of this study is as follow. First, most technology teachers perceive that engineering contents are lack in technology education, therefore they recognize the needs of reinforcement of engineering contents. Second, most technology teachers perceive that present technology subject does not give positive affect to students for their own career selection on engineering field. Furthermore, they perceive that if it contained the contents of engineering in technology education, students would experience creative design and problem solving process. Third, most technology teachers perceive that they are able to teach engineering in technology education and they need the change of national curriculum and the development of engineering program contents. Fourth, they perceive that the 7~9 grade is the best grade to start to study engineering in elementary and secondary school. Fifth, they perceive that 'design', 'problem solving' and 'creative thinking' are the priority of educational needs of teaching ability and knowledge about engineering. Sixth, they perceive that the aerospace engineering, the electrical engineering, the electronic engineering, the mechanical engineering, the computer engineering and the environmental engineering are the priority of educational needs of teaching knowledge about engineering fields.

This study has investigated concerns of elementary school teachers on STEAM education that is main stream of science-technology education in Korea nowadays. Emphasis on STEAM education of Ministry of education that is new policy about science-technology-refinement education for future led to teachers implement STEAM education on the field of education since 2011. The purpose of this study is to check current degree of concerns of elementary school teachers for STEAM education and explore effective ways to improve concerns of teachers about it. From this study we checked and diagnosed conditions of teachers' concerns on the current STEAM education in Korea. Through this work we found degree of teachers' concerns on the current STEAM education is very low and they are undergoing trial and error recently because of deficiency of understanding on STEAM education and insufficient time to design it and so on.

This research examines the impact of teachers' self-evaluation on their classroom interactions with students. Changes in class behavior were analyzed by following two experienced middle school teachers for one semester of self-evaluation, comparing their classes at the beginning and end of the semester. A qualitative research method was adopted to take, a deeper look at the effect of changes in the teachers' in class actions. Both of the teachers reported positive effects of implementing self-evaluation on their teaching pedagogy, focusing specifically on their interactions with students when asking question and giving feedback. By the end of semester, they were asking broader questions that encouraged their students to engage in deeper thought and, when giving feedback, the class atmosphere was much brighter with better communication due to the positive reinforcement provided. This research supports research into ways to enhance teachers' expertise and improve their teaching via self-evaluation, centering on teachers' actions in the classroom.

The purpose of the study was to examine the moderating effect of childcare teachers' role conflict on the relationship between their professionalism perception and teaching. The subjects were 365 childcare teachers who had children. They were asked to complete the survey on professionalism perception, role conflict in women, and teacher efficacy along with their background information. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 24.0 software. Descriptive, Pearson's correlation analyses, and a hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. As results, first, the childcare teachers with high professionalism perception showed high teacher efficacy, and the childcare teachers with high role conflict showed low teacher efficacy. Second, there was the moderating effect of role conflict on the relationship between professionalism perception and teacher efficacy.

Language Capital is one of the most important academic abilities and competencies for new era of globalization worldwide. In Europe and Asia where English is not the native language, it is necessary to encourage higher education to improve language competency from both qualitative and quantitative aspects. In so far as online university concerned, it appears of significance to prepare for globalization from the perspective of cross border education, and it needs to focus on how to design and develop English-medium teaching (EMT) or in other words English mediated instruction(EMI) for both teachers and students. In order to provide supportive programs of English-mediated class for teachers and students, the study examined and analyzed what abilities are needed for teachers based on DACUUM approach, suggesting teachers' competency as well as strategies for online- EMT. Based on literature review, DACUUM analysis, focus group interview with teachers and students who experienced online EMT, online programs supporting both teachers and students for online EMI were developed. This program expects to play roles of practical guidelines and reference for both teachers and students online in an extension of language capital improvement.
