This study is aimed to analyze the cognitive level of basic job skill for students, graduates, and teachers in a specialized high school, as well as for workers in a company, and to suggest an optimal educational curriculum by deciding the priority of the basic job skill in education in the field of mechanic, electric electronic semiconductor, and architecture civil engineering construction. This research was undertaken with the use of various statistic skills, the Borich method, and the locus for focus model. Also, this research shall be valued in synthetic understandings for curriculum revising. The educational priority which shall be applied to the mechanic, electric electronic semiconductor, and architecture civil engineering construction at specialized high school was analyzed, and according to this, a new curriculum was suggested. For mechanic, it put its educational priority on Expressing oneself, Problem solving, Self-development, Career development, Managing time, Negotiation, and Understanding technology. For electric electronic semiconductor, its focus was on Managing time, and for architecture civil engineering construction, they emphasized Problem solving, Self-development, Career development, Managing time, and Conflict management.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of non-thermal dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma on decontamination of Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) and Escherichia coli(E. coli) as common pathogens. Methods: This experiment was carried out in a chamber($0.64m^3$)designed by the authors. The plasma was continuously generated by a non-thermal DBD plasma generator(Model TB-300, Shinyoung Air tech, Korea). Suspensions of S. aureus and E. coli of 0.5 McFarland standard($1.5{\times}10^8CFU/mL$) were prepared using a Densi-Check photometer(bio $M{\acute{e}}rieux$, France). The suspensions were diluted1:1000 in sterile PBS solutions(approximately$10^{4-5}CFU/mL$) and inoculated on tryptic soy agar(TSA) in Petri dishes. The Petri dishes(80mm internal diameter)were exposed to the non -thermal DBD plasma in the chamber. Results: The results showed that 95% of S. aureus colonies were killed after a six-hour exposure to the DBD plasma. In the case of E. coli, it took two hours to kill 100% of the colonies. The gram-negative E. coli had a greater reduction than the gram-positive S. aureus. This difference may be due to the structure of their cell membranes. The thickness of gram-positive bacteria is greater than that of gram-negative bacteria. The S. aureus is more resistant to DBD plasma exposures than is E. coli. It should be noted that average concentrations of ozone, a byproduct of the DBD plasma generator, were monitored throughout the experiment and the results were well below the criteria, 50 ppb, recommended by the Korean Ministry of the Environment. Thus, non-thermal DBD plasma is deemed safe for use in hospital and public facilities. Conclusions: There was evidence that non-thermal DBD plasma can effectively kill S. aureus and E. coli. The results indicate that DBD plasma technology can greatly contribute to the control of infections in hospitals and other public and private facilities.
This essay introduces the basic method and program required to meet some necessary conditions of building university archives. By the phrase 'method and program', I intend the effective means of regularly but circumstantially controling the ways to the archival purposes proper which can be defined as the keeping of evidences and the broadening of information pool in terms of the evidential and informational natures or values of records. My starting point is about the matters of overcoming a standard method of induction which has long prescribed much passive procedures in the archival work. Considering the differences in the records and archives management-practices between West and Korea, I tentatively try to add some active elements to the archival work among which the collection for the expanding evidences and informations may firstly emphasized. While this collecting activity normally depends on the existing 'collections' and 'manuscripts', I cannot exclude the possibility of collections the materials, being likely to be registered in any poor or insufficient record groups. In the similar context, this kind of activity may and must be expanded beyond the university boundaries so at to arrange the cornerstones of archive-based local studies in the various disciplines. Here I premise another role of university archives, the role as 'science archives'. These archives within university archives seem likely to function in likewise the special collections within Western university libraries. What I mean here, however, is the archival groups purposedly gathered or acquisited according to more detail and narrower plan in order to meet the various demands from the different disciplines for the primary sources. The archival procedures from this revised method and program may, I hope, satisfy some of the preconditions of building university archives before the archives will actually function as a sub-institution of an university preserving legal, administrative and financial evidences, thus keeping identity and continuity of the university on the one hand, and as a local information center of supplying the archival contents on effectual demand from the field of local studies on the other. Finally, I conclude with a suggestion concerning the cooperation of all the parties of archival works. Proposing the 'Regional Research Center Program' in the field of technology and engineering as a model for the cooperation, I suggest that universities, private/public organizations, and central and local governments may work together for surveying the scattered ancient and modern documents as well as for building archives under the matching fund.

In this study, it is describe to an optimization analysis process for the weight reduction of the voltage converter in the electric vehicle charging systems. The optimization design is a technique that finds the optimal material distribution under a given material quantity constraint by combining the design sensitivity with the material properties and the mathematical optimization. Among the topology optimization, a lightweight design is performed by a solid isotropic material with penalization with simple formula and well-convergence. The lightweight design consists of three steps. As a first step, a finite element model for the basic design of the on-board voltage converter was constructed and static analysis was performed on the load. In the second step, the optimum shape is obtained for the lightweight by performing the topology optimization using the solid isotropic material with penalization applying the stiffness coefficient of the isotropic material to the static analysis result. As a final step, impact analysis was performed by applying a half-sinusoidal pulse shape impact load which satisfies the impact test standard of the vehicle-mounted part with respect to the optimum shape. In the topology optimization, the design domain was defined as the mounting bracket area, and the design technology was finally achieved by optimizing the mounting bracket to achieve a weight reduction of 20% over the basic design.

As the time spent in indoor space has increased, the demand for services targeting indoor spaces also continues to increase. To provide indoor spatial information services, the construction of indoor spatial information should be done first. In the study, a method of generation IndoorGML, which is the international standard data format for Indoor space, from existing BIM data. The characteristics of IFC objects were investigated, and objects that need to be converted to IndoorGML were selected and classified into objects that restrict the expression of Indoor space and internal passages. Using the proposed method, a part of data set provided by the BIMserver github and the IFC model of the 21st Century Building in University of Seoul were used to perform experiments to generate PrimalSpaceFeatures of IndoorGML. As a result of the experiments, the geometric information of IFC objects was represented completely as IndoorGML, and it was shown that NavigableBoundary, one of major features of PrimalSpaceFeatures in IndoorGML, was accurately generated. In the future, the proposed method will improve to generate various types of objects such as IfcStair, and additional method for automatically generating MultiLayeredGraph of IndoorGML using PrimalSpaceFeatures should be developed to be sure of completeness of IndoorGML.

This study proposes a bridge evaluation system for indivisible permit vehicles such as hydraulic cranes. The permit loads for the bridge evaluation are divided into three categories: routine permit loads, special permit 1 loads, and special permit 2 loads. Routine permit and special permit 1 vehicles are allowed to cross a bridge with normal traffic. For these two permits, the standard lane model in the Korean Highway Bridge Design Code was adopted to consider normal traffic in the same lane. Special permit 2 vehicles are assumed to cross a bridge without other traffic. Structural analyses of two prestressed-beam bridges and two steel box girder bridges were conducted for the proposed permit loads. The rating factors of the four bridges for all permit loads were calculated as sufficiently large values for the moment and shear force so that crossing the bridges can be permitted. A reliability assessment of the bridges was performed to identify the reliability levels for the permit vehicles. It was confirmed that the reliability level of the minimum required strength obtained by the load-resistance factors yields the target reliability index of the design code for the permit vehicles.

In this study, the structural behavior by the details of the lap region with the headed bar was estimated through finite element analysis. To solve the finite element analysis of the anchorage region with complex contact conditions and nonlinear behavior, a quasi-static analysis technique by explicit dynamic analysis was performed. The accuracy of the finite element model was verified by comparing the experimental results with the finite element analysis results. It was confirmed that the quasi-static analysis technique well reflected the behavior of enlarged headed bar connection. As a result of performing numerical analysis using 21 finite element models with various development lengths and transverse reinforcement indexes, it was confirmed that the increase of development length and transverse reinforcement index improved the maximum strength and ductility. However, to satisfy the structural performance, it should be confirmed that both design variables(development length and transverse reinforcement index) must be enough at the design criteria. In the recently revised design standard(KDS 14 20 52 :2021), a design formula of headed bar that considers both the development length and the transverse reinforcing bar index is presented. Also the results of this study confirmed that not only the development length but also transverse reinforcing bars have a very important effect.

A certain level of stability margin airworthiness criteria should be met to secure robustness against uncertainties between the real plant and the model in a flight control system design. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) specification of MIL-F-9490D and airworthiness certification standard of MIL-HDBK-516B uses gain and phase margin criteria of flight control system. However, the same stability margin criteria is applied at all development phases without considering the design maturity of each development phase of the aircraft. Ultimately, a problem arises when the aircraft operation envelope is excessively restricted. This paper proposes the relation of handling qualities and stability margin, and presents re-established stability margin criteria as a development phases and verification methods. The results of the research study are considered to contribute to the verification of the stability margin criteria more flexibly and effectively by applying the method to not only the currently manned developing aircrafts but also the unmanned vehicle to be developed in the future.
Purpose: This in vitro study aimed to compare the trueness of 3-unit fixed dental provisional prostheses (FDPs) fabricated by three different additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing procedures. Methods: A reference model with a maxillary left second premolar and the second molar prepped and the first molar missing was scanned for the fabrication of 3-unit FDPs. An anatomically shaped 3-unit FDP was designed on computer-aided design software. 10 FDPs were fabricated by subtractive (MI group) and additive manufacturing (stereolithography: SL group, digital light processing: DL group, liquid crystal displays: LC group) methods, respectively (N=40). All FDPs were scanned and exported to the standard triangulated language file. A three-dimensional analysis program measured the discrepancy of the internal, margin, and pontic base area. As for the comparison among manufacturing procedures, the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney test with Bonferroni correction were evaluated statistically. Results: Regarding the internal area, the root mean square (RMS) value of the 3-unit FDPs was the lowest in the MI group (31.79±6.39 ㎛) and the highest in the SL group (69.34±29.88 ㎛; p=0.001). In the marginal area, those of the 3-unit FDPs were the lowest in the LC group (25.39±4.36 ㎛) and the highest in the SL group (48.94±18.98 ㎛; p=0.001). In the pontic base area, those of the 3-unit FDPs were the lowest in the LC group (8.72±2.74 ㎛) and the highest in the DL group (20.75±2.03 ㎛; p=0.001). Conclusion: A statistically significant difference was observed in the RMS mean values of all the groups. However, in comparison to the subtractive manufacturing method, all measurement areas of 3-unit FDPs fabricated by three different additive manufacturing methods are within a clinically acceptable range.
While extensive research is being conducted to reduce greenhouse gases in industrial fields, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has implemented regulations to actively reduce CO2 emissions from ships, such as energy efficiency design index (EEDI), energy efficiency existing ship index (EEXI), energy efficiency operational indicator (EEOI), and carbon intensity indicator (CII). These regulations play an important role for the design and operation of ships. However, the calculation of the index and indicator might be complex depending on the types and size of the ship. Here, to calculate the EEDI of two target vessels, first, the ships were set as Deadweight (DWT) 50K container and 300K very large crude-oil carrier (VLCC) considering the type and size of those ships along with the engine types and power. Equations and parameters from the marine pollution treaty (MARPOL) Annex VI, IMO marine environment protection committee (MEPC) resolution were used to estimate the EEDI and their changes. Technical measures were subsequently applied to satisfy the IMO regulations, such as reducing speed, energy saving devices (ESD), and onboard CO2 capture system. Process simulation model using Aspen Plus v10 was developed for the onboard CO2 capture system. The obtained results suggested that the fuel change from Marine diesel oil (MDO) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) was the most effective way to reduce EEDI, considering the limited supply of the alternative clean fuels. Decreasing ship speed was the next effective option to meet the regulation until Phase 4. In case of container, the attained EEDI while converting fuel from Diesel oil (DO) to LNG was reduced by 27.35%. With speed reduction, the EEDI was improved by 21.76% of the EEDI based on DO. Pertaining to VLCC, 27.31% and 22.10% improvements were observed, which were comparable to those for the container. However, for both vessels, additional measure is required to meet Phase 5, demanding the reduction of 70%. Therefore, onboard CO2 capture system was designed for both KCS (Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO) container ship) and KVLCC2 (KRISO VLCC) to meet the Phase 5 standard in the process simulation. The absorber column was designed with a diameter of 1.2-3.5 m and height of 11.3 m. The stripper column was 0.6-1.5 m in diameter and 8.8-9.6 m in height. The obtained results suggested that a combination of ESD, speed reduction, and fuel change was effective for reducing the EEDI; and onboard CO2 capture system may be required for Phase 5.
