기상 및 기후 연구 분야의 슈퍼컴퓨터 보유 추이 분석 (The Analysis of the Supercomputer Trends in Weather and Climate Research Areas)

  • It is challenging work to predict weather and climate conditions of the future in advance. Since ENIAC was developed, weather and climate research areas have been taking advantage of the improvements in computer hardware. High performance computers allows researchers to build high quality models that allow them to make good predictions of what might happen in the future. Statistics on the high performance computers are one of the major interest to not only manufacturers but also the users such as weather and climate researchers. For this reason, the Top500 Supercomputer Sites Report has been being released twice a year since 1993 to provide a reliable basis for tracking and detecting trends in high performance computing. Using the Top500 Report, a short review on the supercomputer trends in weather and climate research areas is provided in this article.

  • Object classification and detection are fundamental technologies in computer vision and its applications. Recently, a deep-learning based approach has shown significant improvement in terms of object classification and detection. This report reviews the progress of deep-learning based object classification and detection in views of the ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC), and analyzes recent trends of object classification and detection technology and its applications.

6G 모바일 코어 네트워크 기술 동향 및 연구 방향 (Technology Trends and Research Direction of 6G Mobile Core Network)

  • The competition to lead the next generation of mobile technologies, 6G, is underway while the deployment of 5G has not been implemented worldwide. ITU-R plans to develop technical requirements and standards after completing the 6G Vision by 2023. It can be considered too early to have a concrete view of the 6G core network architecture from this timeline. However, major stakeholders have started making their presence felt by publishing their views. From updated analysis on the technology and service trends proposed, we present a list of research directions on 6G core network from several perspectives: distribution of network functions to nearer edge locations; future fixed-mobile convergence, including low earth orbit satellites; highly-precise QoS guarantee; supporting an extremely wide variety of service requirements; AI-native automation and intelligence; and aligning with the evolution of radio access network.

Analysis of Secondary Battery Trends Using Topic Modeling: Focusing on Solid-State Batteries

  • As the widespread adoption and proliferation of electric vehicles continue, the secondary battery market is experiencing rapid growth. However, lithium-ion batteries, which constitute a majority of secondary batteries, present high risks of fire and explosion. Solid-state batteries are thus garnering attention as the next-generation batteries since they eliminate fire hazards and significantly reduce the risk of explosions. Against this background, the study aimed to analyze research trends and provide insights by examining 2,927 domestic papers related to solid-state batteries over the past decade (2013-2022). Specifically, we used topic modeling to extract major keywords associated with solid-state batteries research and to explore the network characteristics across major topics. The changes in research on solid-state batteries were analyzed in-depth by calculating topic dominance by year. The findings provide an overview of the emerging trends in domestic solid-state battery research, and might serve as a valuable reference in shaping long-term research directions.

  • Building energy management plays a crucial role in improving energy efficiency and optimizing energy usage. To achieve this, it is important to monitor and analyze energy-related data from buildings in real time using sensors to understand energy consumption patterns and establish optimal operational strategies. Because of the uncertainties in building energy-related data, there are challenges in analyzing these data and formulating operational strategies based on them. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology can help overcome these challenges. This paper investigates past and current research trends in AI technology and examines its future prospects for building energy management. By performing prediction and analysis based on energy consumption or supply data, the future energy demands of buildings can be forecasted and energy consumption can be optimized. Additionally, data related to the surrounding environment, occupancy, and other building energy-related factors can be collected and analyzed using sensors to establish operational strategies aimed at further reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency. These technologies will contribute to cost savings and help minimize environmental impacts for building owners and operators, ultimately facilitating sustainable building operations.

6T 분야 특허ㆍ실용신안 출원동향 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Trend Analysis of Patents Application in 6T Area)

  • The R&D investment of Korean government has been concentrated into 6T areas-IT(Information Technology), BT(Bio-Technology), NT(Nano Technology), ET(Environment & Energy Technology), ST(Space Technology) and CT(Culture & Contents Technology) - for a couple of years. By this selection and concentration strategy, patent applications are on an increasing trend in these areas. This paper examined the trends of patent application in 6T areas. To do this, this paper classified each technology area into the detail technology area with the valid number of patent applications. According to the result, the analysis data will be used to make R&D budget appropriation of the government.

조경자재가격(造景資材價格)의 변동추이분석(變動推移分析)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - "H사"(1996년 - 2000년)의 자재판매현황에 관한 제반자료를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Analysis of the Change Fluctuations in Landscape Material Prices)

  • In this study, to take the object of this thesis on understanding the characteristics on marketing structure and marketing distribution of landscape materials after consideration in the side of prices trends which is important factors for analysis in understanding the market of landscape materials. To do this, Analysis is divided into the prices trends. The investigation of prices trends and marketing distribution are to collect data refer to purchases and sales reports, these results are used to analyzed the operative factor of forming market structure. The periodic range of this thesis is limited from 1996 to 2000 and analytic articles is limited on 609 landscape materials(planting materials : 567 articles, facility materials : 7 articles, the other : 35 articles). The results of the whole prices trends and marketing distribution survey can be summarized as follows : 1. Prices trends of showing 3 types of landscape materials : In cases of planting, facility and the others materials, the annual average increasing rate of the index number of price was 3.1%, 3.4%, 3.1% while the KPRC(Korea Price Research Center) price was 3.98% for the past five years. 2. GSP(Government Specified Prices) Prices trends of showing 3 types of landscape materials : In cases of planting, facility and the others materials, the annual average increasing rate of the index number of price was 3.7%, 1.2%, 2.6% while the KPRC(Korea Price Research Center) price was 3.98% for the past five years. This increase indicates a small price margin, particularly, the GSP price of planting materials should be adjusted to a realistic level. 3. Native and exotic product Prices trends of showing 3. types of landscape materials : In cases of Native planting, facility and the others materials, the annual average increasing rate of the index number of price was 3.2%, 3.2%, 3.6% while cases of exotic was 3.1%, 1.0%, 5.8% for the past five years. The index number increase of prices of exotic landscape materials were fluctuated more than those the native landscape materials.

중소기업융합학회 수록 논문의 연구동향에 대한 계량서지학적 분석 (Bibliometric Analysis on the Research Trends in Journal of Convergence for Information Technology)

  • 본 연구는 중소기업융합학회에 수록된 논문을 대상으로 계량서지학적 분석을 실시함으로써 융합연구에 대한 동향 및 추세를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2012~2019년까지 수록된 792편의 논문자료를 수집하였으며, 텍스트 마이닝을 통해 명사 및 복합명사를 추출하고 3차의 전처리 및 정제과정을 거쳐 중심성을 활용한 연결망 분석을 실시하였다. 핵심 연구결과에 따르면 첫째, 2016년 이후 연구의 양적·질적 측면이 향상되었으며, 영향, 융합, 매개효과, 만족, 효과연구가 중점을 이루었다. 둘째, 전반기(2012~2015년)에는 정보, 시스템, 보안 등의 주제를 토대로 공학 및 기술측면의 연구가 집중적으로 수행되어졌다. 셋째, 후반기(2016~2019년)에는 대학생, 부모, 청소년 등을 대상으로 직무, 자기효능감, 교육, 만족, 우울, 스트레스 등을 주제로 연구범위가 확장되어졌다. 본 연구결과는 기존의 연구동향을 파악하는 것과 더불어 신규 연구영역의 확장에 필요한 정보를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to bring about a wide range of changes in the industry, based on the assessment that it is the most innovative technology in the last three decades. The manufacturing field is an area in which various artificial intelligence technologies are being applied, and through accumulated data analysis, an optimal operation method can be presented to improve the productivity of manufacturing processes. In addition, AI technologies are being used throughout all areas of manufacturing, including product design, engineering, improvement of working environments, detection of anomalies in facilities, and quality control. This makes it possible to easily design and engineer products with a fast pace and provides an efficient working and training environment for workers. Also, abnormal situations related to quality deterioration can be identified, and autonomous operation of facilities without human intervention is made possible. In this paper, AI technologies used in smart factories, such as the trends in generative product design, smart workbench and real-sense interaction guide technology for work and training, anomaly detection technology for quality control, and intelligent manufacturing facility technology for autonomous production, are analyzed.

중심성 분석을 이용한 2018년 판보로 국제 에어쇼 참가업체 기술동향 분석 (Analysis Results in Technical Trends of 2018 Farnborough International Airshow via Centrality Analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 전 세계 3대 에어쇼 중의 하나인 "FIA(Farnborough International Airshow, 판보로 국제 에어쇼)"의 참여기관/업체를 대상으로 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 항공우주분야 기술동향을 분석하였다. 판보로 국제 에어쇼는 전 세계 주요 항공관련 민간 및 방산 업체와 각국 정부 및 군 관계자가 참여하여 항공우주산업분야에 대한 최신 기술을 선보이는 중요한 행사로서, 2018 FIA에서는 총 112개 국가에서 1,500여 업체(기관)가 참여하였다. 본 연구에서는, 항공우주분야 기술관련 45개 국가, 1,108개 업체를 대상으로 223개의 기술 분류 카테고리를 통해 네트워크 분석 중 하나인 키워드 기반의 중심성 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 전 세계적 우주항공 분야의 핵심기술은 "Machining"으로 조사되었다. 하지만 지역(국가) 별로 분류되는 핵심기술은 다소 다른 경향을 보여주고 있었는데, 유럽(EU)과 영국의 경우 "Machining", 아시아의 경우 "Aircraft Components", 미국의 경우 "Engine Components/controls"가 식별되었다. 우리나라의 경우에는 관련 기관/업체 수의 부족으로 뚜렷한 중심 기술이 식별되지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과가 우주항공분야 기술기획 및 연구 방향성 제시를 위한 참고자료로서 활용 될 수 있으며, 또한 국내 관련 업체의 수출 진흥을 위한 국외 주요 기술 분야를 제시하는데 유용하게 활용되리라 기대한다.
