A Study on the Improvement of the Performance of Power Amplifiers by Deflected Ground Structure

  • This paper describes the improvement in performance of power amplifiers by Defected Ground Structure (DGS) for several operating classes. Due to its excellent capability of harmonic rejection, DGS plays a threat role in improving the main performance of power amplifiers such as output power, power added efficiency, harmonic rejection, and intermodulation distortion (IMD3). In order to verify the improvement in performance of power amplifiers by DGS, measured data for a 30 Watts power amplifier with and without DGS attached under several operating classes are illustrated and compared. The principle of the performance improvement is described with simple Volterra nonlinear transfer functions. Also, the measured performance far two cases, i.e. with and without DGS, and the quantities of improvement fur the various operating classes are compared and discussed.

  • As enterprises, based on the forecast of the customer's demand and collaboration with the suppliers, establish the integrated system directing supply, production, and distribution for the increase of productivity, Thus, this study intends to find the most urgent and critical factors for the improvement of the information system by externalizing factors affecting the operation of information system, suggest the process to improve the relevant functions of information system, and design the process. As a result of the analysis of the previous studies on the improvement of the information system, many studies were conducted on the improvement of ERP and SCM, yet there was no study conducted targeting about APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling). Thus, this study chose APS as the subject for the design of the process for the improvement for the information system.

  • This article is focusing on the improvement of weapon system test & evaluation, aimed at the weapon system in the research development stage. This article suggests improvement directions in three aspects(organization and system, skilled manpower and technology, test facilities of weapon system test & evaluation) as follows. 1) Weapon system test & evaluation organization and system a. Establishment of comprehensive test & evaluation system b. Making regulation for comprehensive test infrastructure management. c. Standardization of test & evaluation process, which can be used in special subject to army, navy and air force. 2) Skilled manpower and technology of weapon system test & evaluation a. Training & education, management of test & evaluation experts. b. Establishment of skill management system of test & evaluation. 3) Test facilities of weapon system test & evaluation a. Establishment of comprehensive improvement direction of test & evaluation installation and equipment. b. Consideration of counter measures to prevent overlapping investment, and to use the test & evaluation resources efficiently. c. Establishment of organic network for the effective use of test & evaluation installation and equipment. d. Establishment of detailed cooperation plan for the commonage of test & evaluation facility and equipment.

OTT 앱 리뷰 분석을 통한 서비스 개선 기회 발굴 방안 연구 (Exploring Service Improvement Opportunities through Analysis of OTT App Reviews)

  • This study aims to suggest service improvement opportunities by analyzing user review data of the top three OTT service apps(Netflix, Coupang Play, and TVING) on Google Play Store. To achieve this objective, we proposed a framework for uncovering service opportunities through the analysis of negative user reviews from OTT service providers. The framework involves automating the labeling of identified topics and generating service improvement opportunities using topic modeling and prompt engineering, leveraging GPT-4, a generative AI model. Consequently, we pinpointed five dissatisfaction topics for Netflix and TVING, and nine for Coupang Play. Common issues include "video playback errors", "app installation and update errors", "subscription and payment" problems, and concerns regarding "content quality". The commonly identified service enhancement opportunities include "enhancing and diversifying content quality". "optimizing video quality and data usage", "ensuring compatibility with external devices", and "streamlining payment and cancellation processes". In contrast to prior research, this study introduces a novel research framework leveraging generative AI to label topics and propose improvement strategies based on the derived topics. This is noteworthy as it identifies actionable service opportunities aimed at enhancing service competitiveness and satisfaction, instead of merely outlining topics.

Physicochemical Properties of Topsoil Used for River Improvement and Non-Improvement Areas

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the physicochemical properties and perform a feasibility analysis of planting material composed of topsoil from river improvement and non-improvement areas. The results showed that the physicochemical properties of topsoil from river improvement areas were on the average sandy loam~loamy sand in soil texture, 5.6~6.8 in pH, 0.01~0.06 dS/m in EC, 0.9~2.1% in OM, 0.02~0.12% in T-N, 8~14 $cmol^+/kg$ in CEC, 0.01~0.08 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $K^+$, 2.55~11.11 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $Ca^{2+}$, 0.34~2.06 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $Mg^{2+}$, and 3~396 mg/kg in Av. $P_2O_5$. And non-improvement areas showed on average sandy clay loam~sand in soil texture, 5.7~6.7 in pH, 0.02~0.08 dS/m in EC, 0.9~4.4% in OM, 0.02~0.23% in T-N, 7~18 $cmol^+/kg$ in CEC, 0.01~0.08 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $K^+$, 3.81~12.67 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $Ca^{2+}$, 0.60~1.95 $cmol^+/kg$ in Ex. $Mg^{2+}$, and 3~171 mg/kg in Av. $P_2O_5$. Meanwhile, the results of an applied valuation of topsoil- based planting were as follows. Ex. $K^+$ levels were low grade in all survey areas. OM was low grade in 12 improvement areas and 11 non-improvement areas. Av. $P_2O_5$ levels were low grade in 10 improvement areas and 10 non-improvement areas. T-N was low grade in six improvement areas and four non-improvement areas. Ex. $Mg^{2+}$ levels were low grade in two improvement areas.

  • 우리나라는 글로벌 기술경쟁력 제고를 위해 연구개발에 대한 투자를 지속적으로 증대시켜왔다. 우리나라의 GDP대비 연구개발투자비는 4.15%로 세계 1위 수준이며, 이 가운데 기업부문은 전체 투자의 78.5%를 차지하며 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 그러나 더 이상 양적인 투자 증대에는 한계가 존재하기에 R&D투자에 대한 질적 수준을 높여 효율성을 제고하기 위한 노력이 절실히 필요한 실정이다. 이러한 연유로 본 연구에서는 기업의 경영성과를 제고하기 위한 방안을 강구하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 그동안 학문적으로 그 중요성이 강조된 연구개발 초기 단계인 기술전략과 기술기획 역량이 기업의 성과제고에 미치는 영향요인을 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 실증분석 결과, 기술전략과 기술기획 활동이 경영성과 제고에 매우 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 조직유연성의 경우 개별적인 요인 또한 중요하지만 기술기획 활동을 긍정적으로 조절하여 경영성과 제고에 기여함을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 기업의 기술혁신 활동을 실제적으로 파악하기 위해 기업연구소를 운영하고 있는 전체 기업을 대상으로 표본조사를 수행하였으며, 분석방법으로는 다중회귀분석과 분위회귀분석을 활용하였다.

  • This study looks at a company which introduced SAP program, one type of ERP systems, and how the firm copes with the problems which happen in business process. The research tried to solve the problem by IDEAL method of process software improvement methodology. As a result, receipt account program for credit sales could be developed; the program was applied to the actual business work and operated.

  • The Republic of Korea has a close cooperative relationship with NATO, of which the United States is a member. NATO is encouraged to follow UHF coalition waveforms for military air operations(SATURN) as defined in STANAG 4372. SATURN is a high-speed frequency hopping waveform with enhanced anti-jamming and security functions. Plans to improve the performance of existing military aircraft with air to ground radios to which SATURN function is applied. IFF case analysis and MRT evaluation plan were established to present an efficient test and evaluation plan for air to ground radios.

치과기공사 국가시험 실기시험 제도 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Dental Technicians practical examination system)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement measure of dental technicians practical examination system. Methods: The subjects in this study were 290 dental technicians who were self-written questionnaire. The results were analyzed by SPSS 16.0. The collected data was analyzed by frequency and chi-square test. Results: Dental technician practical exam feasibility of survey were largely negative views. Articulators work required in practical exam as a tool used (28.7%), electric wax carver (19.5%), heating clear (17.8%), handpiece (16.2%) had a response. Dental Technician positions in accordance with practical exam in comparison to satisfaction, the professor is satisfied, but the clinical dental technicians were generally dissatisfied (p<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, Current is necessary to analyze the practical test. It also should be compared with foreign institutions. Long-term and short-term improvement examination system that can be applied to the improvement of the dental technician to draw practical test it is necessary to improve the system.
