Potential of Digital Solutions in the Manufacturing Sector of the Russian Economy

  • The purpose of the article is to identify priority trends of technological innovations and strategic opportunities for using the smart potential to the benefit of the Russian industrial production development in the context of digital transformation. The article substantiates the demand for technological process automation at industrial enterprises in Russia and considers the possibilities of using artificial intelligence and the implementation of smart manufacturing in the industry. The article reveals the priorities of the leading Russian industrial companies in the field of digitalization, namely, an expansion of the use of cloud technologies, predictive analysis, IaaS services (virtual data storage and processing centers), supervisory control, and data acquisition (SCADA), etc. The authors give the characteristics of the monitoring of the smart manufacturing systems development indicators in the Russian Federation, conducted by Rosstat since 2020; presents projected data on the assessment of the required resources in relation to the instruments of state support for the development of smart manufacturing technologies for the period until 2024. The article determines targets for the development of smart technologies within the framework of the Federal Project "Digital Technologies".

특허정보의 NLP 분석을 통한 R&D 계획수립 방안 연구: 디스플레이 기술 분석을 중심으로 (Research on R&D Planning Through NLP Analysis of Patent Information: Focusing on Display Technology)

  • Patent information describes the history of technological progress in the relevant field, so it can be usefully used to identify trends in technological development and change and to establish R&D development strategies. This study proposes a method to identify the needs and problems of technology development at the planning stage of the R&D process and to analyze core technologies through patent analysis using Natural Language Processing(NLP) technology. As a big data source, collected patent documents registered in Google Patents for foldable technology, the latest technology in the display industry, and then extracted keywords using NLP analyzer. By classifying the extracted keywords into needs and problems for technology development, developed technology and materials, identified the needs of the market and customers and analyzed the technologies being researched and developed. Unlike previous studies that performed patent analysis, this methodology is different in that it can quickly and conveniently analyze the latest technology trends from big data called patents even if you do not have specialized knowledge and skills in the text mining. This study contributes to the digitalization of the R&D process based on data analysis.

A study on digital transformation of SMEs from the perspective of information technology

  • Purpose - With the rapid development of information technology, the digital economy has become an important grip of the new development pattern, and the digital transformation of enterprises is a major trend. As SMEs are the mainstay of the economy and employment, it is important to study the digital transformation of SMEs to promote the development of the digital economy. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on a resource-based view, this report analyses the current situation and issues of digital transformation of SMEs from the perspective of digital orientation as well as the breadth and depth of technological capabilities of enterprises, using data from a survey of 200 manufacturing enterprises in China. Result - The results show that SMEs generally have a digital transformation mindset, but a weak digital foundation. In order to execute a digital strategy, companies need digital transformation capabilities. These behavioral capabilities are guided by the strategic direction of the business, and companies with strong capabilities are always trying to tap into the full digital potential. Conclusion - In order to effectively promote the digital transformation of SMEs, we suggest that SMEs pay attention to digital capability building, make good use of digital platforms and network resources, and lay a solid foundation for digital transformation; meanwhile, we suggest that government departments play a guiding and supporting role to build a cross-industry and cross-sector digital synergy system to help promote the development of SMEs' digital transformation. This paper presents some suggestions from both the internal and external environment of the enterprise, with the expectation of contributing to the digital transformation practices of SMEs.

국내 재생에너지 연계 수전해 청정수소 생산 발전 전략: 국내외 관련 연구의 비교, 분석을 중심으로 (Development Strategy of Clean Hydrogen Production by Renewable Energy-based Water Electrolysis in Korea)

  • This study compares domestic and foreign research on renewable energy-based water electrolysis clean hydrogen. Domestic studies from 2010 to 2023 focused on technological efficiency, energy efficiency, and system efficiency, with few analyzing infrastructure and technology trends. Overseas research initially focused on technological efficiency and stability, but has since shifted to economic and environmental impact, policy effectiveness, industry-university-research cooperation, and sustainability. To improve water electrolysis technology production, this study suggests prioritizing technology stability over efficiency, resolving government regulations and resident acceptance issues, promoting industry-university-institute cooperation for rapid commercialization of research results, and developing a strategy for sustainable development of renewable energy-based water electrolysis technology.

중소기업의 기술혁신역량과 혁신성과의 관계: 성장단계별 차이 (A Relationship between Innovation Capability and Performance: Differences in Firm Development Stages)

  • 중소기업들은 기술혁신과 기술혁신역량 확보를 통해 불리한 자원규모나 경쟁여건을 극복하고 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위해 노력한다. 기존 연구들은 총체적인 기술혁신역량이나 특정 기술혁신역량 차원들에 초점을 두고 각 혁신역량과 성과간의 관계를 살펴보고 있다. 반면 성장단계별 기술혁신역량의 상대적 중요성이나 성과 영향의 차이와 같은 동태적 특성에 대한 관심은 미흡했다. 본 연구는 중소기업 기술혁신역량과 성과간의 성장단계별 차이를 실증적으로 살펴보고자 한다. 국내 중소제조기업들에 대한 설문조사 분석결과, 중소기업 기술혁신역량의 모든 세부 차원들은 혁신성과에 정의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 성장단계별로는 기술혁신역량의 세부 차원별로 혁신성과에 상이한 영향관계를 보여준다. 기획역량은 성장기와 성숙기에서 혁신성과를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 제조역량은 성숙기에서 혁신성과를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 신제품개발역량과 사업화 역량은 모든 성장단계에서 혁신성과를 높이는데 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 중소기업들의 성장단계에 따라 실무적 기술혁신역량 강화를 위한 가이드라인을 제시한다. 또한 성장단계별 정책적 지원프로그램 설계와 운영을 위한 시사점을 제공한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 연구한계 및 향후 연구과제들을 제시했다.

우리나라 개방형 혁신활동의 영향요인에 관한 실증분석 연구 (An Empirical Analysis of the Influence Factors on Open Innovation Activities in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 기술혁신 역량을 강화하기 위한 중요한 프레임워크로 논의되고 있는 개방형 혁신에 초점을 맞춰 개방형 혁신활동을 내향형 혁신활동과 외향형 혁신활동을 구분하고, 영향요인을 환경특성, 기업특성, 재도특성으로 분류하여 국내 149개 제조기업의 설문응답 내용을 토대로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 환경특성 요인의 경우 시장경쟁정도와 기술변화정도가 내향형 혁신활동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기업들이 시장경쟁정도가 심해지거나 기술변화정도가 높아질 경우, 자사의 기술 개발 촉진 및 시장에서의 우위를 유지하거나 선점하기 위하여 공동연구, 사용자 혁신 등 외부로부터의 기술도입 및 외부의 정보활용에 노력을 기울인다는 의미로 해석될 수 있다. 기업특성 요인의 경우, 내향형 혁신활동은 연구개발인력, 연구개발투자, 국제화사업건수, 해외수출, 조직문화 개방성에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 외향형 혁신활동은 국제화조직특성, 기업가정신(역량특성)에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기업들이 내향형 혁신활동을 강화하기 위해서는 우선적으로 연구인력, 연구비 등의 R&D 투입요소의 증대에 관심을 갖아야 됨을 의미하며, 반면 외향형 혁신활동을 높이기 위해서는 국제화 전담조직을 육성하며, CEO도 독자적인 내부 기술혁신활동에 기업가정신을 발휘하기 보다는 개방적이고 협력적인 기술혁신활동에 기업가정신을 집중해야 됨을 의미한다. 제도특성 요인의 경우 내향형 혁신활동에서는 기술네트워킹에 의해, 외향형 혁신활동의 경우 산업클러스터 입주여부 및 기술네트 워킹에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 정부에서 제도적으로 개방형 혁신활동을 촉진시키기 위해서는 산업클러스터 조성과 기업들의 기술네트워킹 확대에 노력을 기울여야 함을 의미한다.

Lessons from the Design of Innovation Systems for Rural Industrial Clusters in India

  • Practical experience with technology implementation of the upgrading of very small village industries in India suggests that innovation failures are not merely a result of the lack of proper interaction between the users and suppliers of technologies under implementation, but also a result of adoption of the primitive conception of competitiveness in their practice of technology development. The approach of promoting the small producers to become individually competitive by using labour intensive, small-scale intermediate technologies is proving to be totally inadequate for the achievement of technological efficiency in a dynamic sense. Guided by a primitive notion of competitiveness, the suppliers of intermediated technologies are thus being led into limiting their technological efforts in the sectors of direct interest to the rural industrial clusters to the transitional objectives of mainly poverty alleviation. Consequently they have not been able to target the small producers of these village industries for the objectives of business growth. This paper posits that under competitive conditions the self-employed small producer has not only to come together for access to resources, but also has to emerge as a multi-sectoral collective of producers, co-operating in production. With the aim to draw lessons that are generic and have policy implications for the development of innovation systems for local economy based rural industrial clusters and value chains, the author analyses in this paper the experience of innovation in technological systems for the sectors of leather, fruits and vegetable processing and agro processing by the People's Science Movement with the help of the Ministry of Science and Technology and other sectoral ministries in India where rural poor were required to pool the resources and capabilities for raising the scale and scope of their collective production organization.
