  • With the technical development of fourth industrial revolution, VR game market is rapidly expanding. Meanwhile, heavy user group means the group consisting of people consuming certain media or contents more than others, which is the core constituency of the media industry, and there have been only a few studies on them. This study identified the factors that influenced the continuous intention of use of VR game heavy users and figured out their characteristics by verifying the difference in variables with the light user group. According to the results, the heavy user group showed higher behaviors than the light user group in terms of personal innovation, presence, and continuous intention of use variables. In addition to this, it was found that personal innovation, perceived quality, and presence had a significant influence on the continuous intention of use. This study is intended to empirically analyze the characteristics of heavy VR game users and influential factors, thereby preparing baseline data for VR game development and other relevant studies.

In order to manage human health, the 21st century healthcare field is essential ongoing interactions and convergence with ICT technologies. Such demands have created a convergence of technologies (fusion technology) in combination with the heterogeneous technologies. And, with the convergence of medical technology and ICT technologies, the development of personalized therapy environments is created. Advances in ICT-converged healthcare services are progressing due to the development of diverse wearable devices. Such ICT fusion system is exponentially increasing the complexity of the ICT convergence healthcare system and is resulting in various technical, institutional, environmental, and cultural issues. This study explores the status of developments in ICT healthcare technologies from the past to date, identifies major technology and policy issues to address these challenges. Finally it will recommend healthcare policies and a future road-map.

  • The need for off-site construction has increased in the construction industry in Korea in recent years due to the enforcement of the 52-hour workweek, the increasing age of workers on construction sites, the deepening dependence on overseas workers, and the stagnation of productivity in the construction industry. Thus, studies on OSC started in April 2020. In addition, as a national policy study advocating the modular construction method, which is one of the OSC methods, was completed in the first half of 2019. 70 housing units in two complexes that satisfied the Housing Act requirements have been supplied to citizens. However, although modular construction methods have been recognized as a dramatic construction method that achieves shortened construction schedules and solves the issues of cost reduction and the shortage of technical workers on sites by combining the advantages of the manufacturing industry and applying the economies of scale, realistically it has issues due to the rising cost of steel and a low pre-fabrication ratio. Moreover, the construction time of core parts, such as those built by pouring concrete, has become a factor that hinders the shortening of construction times. Thus, this study aims to propose a precast concrete(PC) modular construction system, which fuses three-dimensional infill as an interior finish material and a three-surface PC module that can acts as a structure for a construction method that is economical and can shorten construction time.

  • A data repository is being used as a tool for sharing and preserving research data. This study was conducted to investigate the current status of data repositories and to propose methods for obtaining Coretrustseal certification. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the current status of data repositories in the field of Geoscience was investigated at re3data.org, and 10 best practices that obtained Coretrustseal certification were analyzed among the repositories. First, as a result of identifying the current status of repositories, the United States, Germany, and Canada accounted for 66% of the total repositories by country, and in the case of CTS certification, the proportion of the United States, Europe, and Germany was 58%. Next, as a way to secure CTS certification, necessary details and requirements in terms of data policy, organizational infrastructure, and technical infrastructure were presented. It is hoped that the results of this study will be helpful in establishing and operating domestic data repositories and obtaining CTS certification.

In detail, we analyzed the relationship between the technology commercialization stage and the usefulness of customized R&D support. Also, we added the analyzed the relationship between the usefulness of customized R&D support and the job-specific workforce. Results - Research result, Job creation had a significant relation to the usefulness of customized R&D support in product design stage and mass production stage. Also, R&D worker and production worker correlated with the usefulness of customized R&D support. These results indicate the importance of hiring R&D workers and production workers at the higher technology readiness. Conclusions -Therefore, this study suggests some implications for the government's SMEs support policy and the solve employment problems such as youth unemployment.

  • Cyber Textbook Museum is created by the Korean Educational Development Institute in part of the project to manage the knowledge and information of Korea to promote understanding of Korean education and its history. The original and full text of textbooks dating from the 1890s to the present have been digitized and arranged for easy access over internet. An exclusive portal site dealing with Korean textbooks and curriculum materials was made to provide not only the directory service of textbooks and curriculums in diverse data classifications, school levels, years/periods and subjects but also the keyword search by searching engine. Users can search the necessary materials easily and systematically over the screen and use all the functions except save, capture and print. The management system for textbook image(DjVu format), search system and DRM(Digital Rights Management) system were developed. Finally, four suggestions are proposed which are related in the aspects of policy, technical, systematic aspects for active and tremendous use of the site.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors influencing the housing satisfaction of the new middle-aged who returned to farming to derive the implications of real estate policies to resolve regional imbalances. Research design, data and methodology: As a result, this study used secondary data, housing survey data, and identified factors influencing housing satisfaction through multiple regression analysis as well as basic analysis such as exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, technical statistics analysis, and correlation analysis. Previous studies, in particular, mainly focused on aging, retirement, economic activity, and retirement preparation, but this study was able to derive predictive factors that can increase the persistence of living after returning to farming by analyzing housing satisfaction for the new middle-aged, and as a result, suggest implications for resolving regional imbalances. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was found that housing structure status had the greatest influence among the three factors of housing-related predictors: housing structure status, facility accessibility, and surrounding environment, suggesting that policy alternatives that can improve the quality of the housing structure itself should be prepared rather than facility accessibility and the surrounding environment. Conclusions: Based on these results, we discussed implications for improving the housing structure to increase the continuity of living for the new middle-aged after returning to farming, and presented follow-up research directions on the need for complementary research in addition to individual analysis of influencing factors, limitations of secondary data, and the lighting of research on the new middle-aged and other generations who did not return to farming.

  • The paper investigates the influence of government-led projects on investors' decision-making reference points, using Prospect Theory and Human Capital Theory. It empirically explores whether government initiatives shift investors' reference points, offering insights for private investments in government-backed ventures. The study, spanning from May 2017 to May 2022, compares 51 companies involved in Korea's 'New Deal' policy to 49 non-participating companies. It considers founders' human capital elements such as past startup experience, technical and managerial industry experience, education level, and graduate school reputation. The analysis reveals that only the reputation of the founder's graduate school has a significant negative effect, implying a conservative approach by investors towards government-led projects. This highlights the need for investors to consider the founder's social capital and the impact of government support on venture growth and public offering pace.
