새로운 철도 역사의 시작은 매년 진행되고 있다. 서울의 신림선은 통신기술을 기반으로 하는 신교통철도시스템이다. 신림선은 국가 표준규격인 KTCS-M을 기반으로 하는 국가 최초 무선통신기반 무인열차제어시스템으로 운용된다. 철도교통시스템에서 무선통신기술의 활용은 세계철도 시장으로의 수출 가능성을 시사한다. 이는 정부가 국내 철도산업을 육성하고 수출을 위해 다양한 지원 정책을 개발하고 시행한 결과이다. 본 논문에서는 국가가 시행하고 있는 철도산업기술의 국산화 지원 현황을 살펴보고, 철도부품의 해외 의존도를 벗어나 국산화 부품으로 대체되는 과정을 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 발생하는 산업체의 애로기술을 해결하기 위한 기술지원 플랫폼에 관하여 연구하였다. 향후 플랫폼의 구현과 활용을 위한 실행 개발이 필요하다. 향후 플랫폼이 구축되어 우리나라 산업체가 세계철도시장 수출 확장에 기여하는 기술력 향상에 필요한 도구로 활용되기를 기대한다.

The paper derives, validates and illustrates the application of GBT-based formulae to estimate distortional critical lengths and bifurcation stress resultants in cold-formed steel rack-section columns, beams and beam-columns with arbitrarily inclined mid-stiffeners and four support conditions. After a brief review of the Generalised Beam Theory (GBT) basics, the main concepts and procedures employed to obtain the formulae are addressed. Then, the GBT-based estimates are compared with exact results and, when possible, also with values yielded by formulae due to Lau and Hancock, Hancock and Teng et al. A few remarks on novel aspects of the rack-section beam-column distortional buckling behaviour, unveiled by the GBT-based approach, are also included.

The government and the Korea Occupational safety & Health Agency have continuously carried out safety activities such as supervision, inspection, technical guidance and financial support in order to reduce safety accidents at the construction site. However, the number of disasters at construction sites is increasing every year. So analyze the results of the supervision and inspection of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the projects related to the small-scale construction work of the Safety and Health Corporation, and the technical guidance project of the disaster prevention technology guidance organization. It is also necessary to establish an improvement plan for the disaster reduction of the small-scale construction work site for this project.

Barricade failures generally occur at the early times of paste backfill when it is fresh in the stopes. The backfill strength increases and need for barricading pressure decreases as a result of the hydration reactions. In this study, paste backfill barricades of Cayeli copper mine were investigated to design cemented mineral processing plant tailings as barricade body concrete. Paste backfill in sub-level caving stopes of the mine needs to be barricaded for only four or five days. Therefore, short term strength and workability tests were applied on several cemented tailings material designs. Barricade failure mechanisms, important points of barricade designing and details of the new concrete material are explained in this work. According to the results obtained with this experimental study, the tailings were assessed to be used in concrete applied as temporary supports such as cemented paste backfill barricades.

Technology supports of ETSC(Enterprise Technology Support Center) are for the small and medium-size enterprises to promote and overcome their technical barriers through the transfer of KIMM's technology and the equipments supports to the enterprises. ETSC is expanding and reaching out the works to serve the public domain of business by establishing the networks between researchers and engineers in enterprises for exchanging technical informations.

The study focuses on analysing situation of disasters and characteristics in construction process which the technical construction firms accomplish. Besides, the study aims at the role and responsibilities of technical construction firms in construction safety. It is found out by a questionnaire and interviews in this study that safety control and management have a key role to prevent accidents in construction projects. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that institutional improvement and support strategies are suggested and that additional to the support of the government and institutions in charge of the field of construction safety the effort of the first contractor, the second contractor and the laborer it is also important.

개도국의 교육분야 지원사업은 한국의 공적개발원조 사업에서 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 매년 교육분야에 대한 원조비중이 증가하고 있음에도 불구하고 개도국의 교육협력에 대한 기대에 비해서는 충분하지 못한 실정이다. 한국의 괄목할만한 경제성장은 기술교육에 대한 투자가 밑거름이 되어온 것은 주지의 사실이다. 현재 개발도상국이 당면하고 있는 빈곤퇴치를 위한 국가개발을 위하여 인적자원의 개발이 절실한 시점에 놓여있다. 본 연구의 목적은 개발도상국의 기술교육분야 지원사업을 위한 공적개발원조 사업에 필요한 적략적 접근방법에 대하여 연구함으로써 지원효과를 극대화 시키고 수원국의 인적자원개발과 국가경제발전에 기여할 수 있는 방법을 제시하는데 있다.

We evaluate the technical and organizational aspects of the severe accident management guideline (SAMG), focusing on the decision-making process in the technical support center (TSC). From the technical aspects, we conclude that the present SAMG is a good tool that can assist the TSC in efficiently managing probable severe accidents. However, we suggest that the clear separation of the emergency operating procedure (EOP) and SAMG, which shifts plant control from the main control room (MCR) to the TSC, might not be an effective framework from an organizational perspective. Studies on organizational behavior demonstrate that a group decision made under a risky situation might be polarized in either a risky or cautious way. We recognize that we cannot be free from the polarization effect since the current SAMG recommends that the TSC evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of strategies to be implemented and choose the best one based on a group decision process. Illustrative examples of accident management under risky conditions are recapitulated from previous studies of the authors and we propose that the SAMG should be more proceduralized to remove this polarization from the decision-making process.

These studies aim to support technically the National Rural Electrification Program now in progress by analyzing several engineering problems in regard to the program and then suggesting some appropriate solutions or measures. The contents of these studies are divided into three categories; (1)optimized distribution systems for the rural electrification, (2)optimized rural illumination and (3)single-phase operation of three-phase motors.
