The effectiveness of 100/30, 100/40 and SRSS directional combination rules on the response of asymmetric setback buildings is examined. Because of the irregularity in setback buildings, the maximum seismic response would be correlative with the direction of earthquake. To verify the directional combination rules of mode superposition methods, the time history analyses of setback buildings to real earthquake records are carried out. Example analyses have been used to compare the validty and accuracy of SRSS and percentage methods for frame and dual frame-wall systems.

This paper deals with the application of the genetic algorithm to the technical trading rule of the stock market. MACD(Moving Average Convergence & Divergence) and the Stochastic techniques are widely used technical trading rules in the financial markets. But, it is necessary to determine the parameters of these trading rules in order to use the trading rules. We use the genetic algorithm to obtain the appropriate values of the parameters. We use the daily KOSPI data of eight years during January 1995 and October 2002 as the experimental data. We divide the total experimental period into learning period and testing period. The genetic algorithm determines the values of parameters for the trading rules during the teaming period and we test the performance of the algorithm during the testing period with the determined parameters. Also, we compare the return of the genetic algorithm with the returns of buy-hold strategy and risk-free asset. From the experiment, we can see that the genetic algorithm outperforms the other strategies. Thus, we can conclude that genetic algorithm can be used successfully to the technical trading rule.

This study aims to propose technical trading rules for Bitcoin futures and empirically analyze investment performance. Investment strategies include standard trading rules such as VMA, TRB, FR, MACD, RSI, BB, using Bitcoin futures daily data from December 18, 2017 to March 31, 2021. The trend-following rules showed higher investment performance than the comparative strategy B&H. Compared to KOSPI200 index futures, Bitcoin futures investment performance was higher. In particular, the investment performance has increased significantly in Sortino Ratio, which reflects downside risk. This study can find academic significance in that it is the first attempt to systematically analyze the investment performance of standard technical trading rules of Bitcoin futures. In future research, it is necessary to improve investment performance through the use of deep learning models or machine learning models to predict the price of Bitcoin futures.

The author presents a simple data-driven intraday technical indicator trading approach based on Genetic Programming (GP) for return forecasting in the Bitcoin market. We use five trend-following technical indicators as input to GP for developing trading rules. Using data on daily Bitcoin historical prices from January 2017 to February 2020, our principal results show that the combination of technical analysis indicators and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, primarily GP, is a potential forecasting tool for Bitcoin prices, even outperforming the buy-and-hold strategy. Sensitivity analysis is employed to adjust the number and values of variables, activation functions, and fitness functions of the GP-based system to verify our approach's robustness.

Purpose: This study examined the importance and satisfaction of consumer's perception of the information delivery format of products and services required and recommended by KS A ISO / IEC Guide 13: 2003 and KS A ISO / IEC Guide 37: 2003. Methods: In this study, the importance and satisfaction of clarity, principles of information transfer, how to use expressions and technical terms, and technical terms, warning signs, and durability were investigated. Results: The t-test analysis of the importance and satisfaction of the Writing Rules of the product user guide showed that all items had statistically significant differences. The importance of the writing rules of the product user guide for the use of the product was in the order of warning signs (4.423), how to use expressions and technical terms (4.215), principles of information transfer (4.163), clarity (3.914), and finally durability (3.851). Conclusion: Among the 'explanation,' 'instruction' and 'warning' functions of the Product User Guide, the consumer uses the manual to identify the inherent dangers and misuse of the product. Besides, since the life of the product is prolonged, the Product User Guide also needs to improve the quality of the cover or paper so that it can use for a long time.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to expound the packaging framework system(PFS) under international trade rules. Design/methodology/approach - This study analyzed packaging framework system and packaging regulations and technical standards in international regulations and major countries and classified these in some standards Findings - First, the study provides packaging provisions associated with packaging regulations and technical standards (PRTS). Then, the basis of PFS in international trade rules was proposed; it is believed that the PFS was composed of packaging legal system in WTO institutional framework (WTO-PLS), international organization packaging standard system (IO-PSS) and major countries or regions packaging regulatory system (MCR-PRS). Secondly, this paper expounded relations and legal characteristics of the three packaging systems. Finally, This study investigated PRTS coverage under technical barriers to trade (TBT) and Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures (SPS). Research implications or Originality - The regulations associated with PRTS have played a key role in challenges to merchandise trade in international trade. This study has significance in classifying packaging related reticulations into several criteria unlike previous studies. Therefore it is hope that this study can provide a supplementary document for the existing research of PRTS.

There is a problem that some spoken words are not consistent with the written words when Arabic numerals in Korean language are read. Since some rules for reading the Arabic numerals are not clear, the numerals should be read carefully by recognizing the position of the numbers in sentence, the relationship of the numerals with measurement nouns and other writing elements, and context. In view of technical writing, this work is to appreciate some rules for writing Korean numerals in place of Arabic numerals by studying the works regarding numerals, classifiers and measurement nouns.

The International Association of Classification Societies(IACS) can trace its original back to the International Conference on Load Lines of 1930 and was established in 1968. Long before the formal foundation of IACS, a number of working parties existed to carry out studies of specific topics concerning technical rules of classification. The general terms of reference of the working groups of IACS are to draft unified rules and regulations between Societies, to study safety standards at the request of the International Maritime Organization(IMO) and to prepare unified interpretations of technical regulations of international conventions. As an associate member since 1975, the Korean Resister of Shipping has been actively attending the meeting of IACS working parties. In this paper, summaries of major agenda of the working parties including history of unified requirements and relevant technical tendencies are explained for the purpose of providing better understanding of the rule development.

In this paper, we propose the technical considerations for the rules on television white space(TVWS), that becomes a center of public notice, in terms of incumbent services protection, technical requirements of television band devices (TVBDs) and administration of TV band databases. The basic idea behind the proposed method is based on the perfect protection of incumbent services such as digital television and wireless microphone. It has been found that FCC's approach has the advantage that a list of available channels and transmission power are provided for TVBDs faster than Ofcom's approach that requires DB to perform the algorithm for determining frequencies and transmission power for TVBDs everytime DB is asked from TVBDs.

This study presents the new dispatching rules of job shop scheduling with auxiliary resource constraint to improve the schedule performance measures related to completion time and due dates. The proposed dispatching rules consider the information of total work remaining and machine utilization to decrease mean flowtime and mean tardiness. The results of computer experiments show that those schedule performances are significantly improved by using the new dispatching rules. The results provide guidance for the researchers and practitioners of auxiliary resource constrained job shop scheduling to decrease mean flowtime and mean tardiness.
