로봇 저널리즘 연구 동향 및 미래 전망 (Robot Journalism Research Trends and Future Prospects)

  • AI-powered robot news is drawing attention as artificial intelligence technology is fully spread in the news distribution field. Robot news still has many technical and ethical problems, but academic research on this is insufficient. This study analyzes the issue of robot writing in artificial intelligent based robot journalism industry using SWOT analysis. As a result, the advantages of big data processes, accurate information gathering, high efficiency and disadvantages such as lack of independent arguments and lack of evidence and opportunities for technical development, government support, academic development, and industrial applications, and threats such as uncritical acceptance and lack of talent have been found. This study suggests three future-oriented directions, such as human-machine collaboration, intelligent news, and chat-bot, through previous studies on the development direction of robot journalism-based article writing.

  • Recently, the development of offshore wind farms based on past technical experiences from onshore wind turbine installations has become a worldwide issue. This study investigated the technical issues related to offshore wind farms and large-diameter monopiles from an economic perspective. In particular, the monopile foundation system (MFS), which is the most important part of the proposed fast construction system, is applied for the first time in Korea, and structural verification is essential because it supports large-diameter monopiles and is in charge of excavation. Therefore, in this study, a rapid construction system for large offshore wind power generators was introduced, and stability verification was performed through the structural analysis of the MFS.

  • 본 논문에서 이슈 키워드 추출을 위해 텍스트 마이닝(Text Mining) 기술을 요구한다. 사회적 이슈 키워드를 추출하기 위해 키워드 수집 모델이 되는 사이트에서 크롤링(crawling)을 수행한 뒤, 형태소 단위 의미있는 단어를 수집하기 위해 형태소 분석(morphological analysis)을 수행한다. 한국어 형태소 분석을 위해 파이썬의 코엔엘파이(KoNLPy) 패키지를 활용한다. 형태소 분석을 통해 나뉘어진 단어에서 통계를 내어 이슈 키워드 추출한다. 이슈 키워드를 뒷받침할 연관 단어를 분석하기 위해 단어 임베딩(Word Embedding)을 수행한다. 단어 임베딩 수행을 위해 Word2Vec 모델 중 Skip-Gram 방법론을 적용하여 연관 단어를 분석하도록 개발하였다. 웹 소켓(Web Socket) 통신을 통한 채팅 프로그램의 상단에 분석한 이슈 키워드와 연관 단어를 출력하도록 개발하였다.

  • Even though attempts are made to transform from 2D CAD to BIM representation for building design and construction, it were not so successful for practical implementation until recently in construction industry in Korea. However, there is a dramatic change for the use of BIM by collaboration among government, independent organizations as well as industry itself. Government reckons that BIM is an important tool for environment friendly construction and industry competitiveness. The government not only makes national BIM standards and push policies in order to make market environment. Independent organizations such as BuildingSMART Korea does active role to stimulate the transformation process successfully. They act as opinion leaders for the Government to consider BIM implementation for industry competitiveness issue. They make roadmap as well as technical standards and guidelines. It also leads technical developments and supports for its implementation. Government supports researches for the implementation of BIM. The research includes BIM standards, guidelines, linking with existing Architectural Administrative Information Systems, making libraries as well as education. Government makes policy for BIM as a compulsory data for bidding process of newly designed government buildings. Private sector not only agrees BIM as a tool to adapt but also essential methods for its survival in domestic and foreign construction market. Architectural design companies and constructions companies currently develop technical skills and implement BIM for new projects such as Dongdaemoon Plaza that cannot be successfully drawn by conventional methods.

Parametric study on the impact of traffic-induced vibrations on residential structures in Istanbul, Turkey

  • Traffic-induced vibrations (TIVs) possess the potential to induce structural damage in both historical and critical edifices. Recent investigations have underscored the adverse impact of TIVs within buildings, manifesting as a deleterious influence on the quality of life and operational efficiency of occupants. Consequently, these studies have dichotomized TIVs into two primary limit categories: the threshold for vibrations capable of causing structural damage and the limit values associated with human comfort. In this current research endeavor, an exhaustive analysis of peak ground acceleration (PGA), peak ground velocity (PGV), peak ground displacement (PGD), and the frequency spectrum of ground motions originating from diverse traffic sources has been conducted. Furthermore, the detrimental repercussions of these vibrations on structures, gauged through the assessment of the peak particle velocity (PPV) parameter, have been systematically evaluated. The findings of this study elucidate that TIVs within the examined structures do not attain magnitudes conducive to structural compromise; however, the levels surpassing human comfort limits are evident, attributable to specific sources and distances. Moreover, this investigation sheds light on the absence of comprehensive criteria and guidelines pertaining to the assessment of TIVs in structures within the Turkish Building Seismic Design Code 2018. It seeks to raise awareness among building constructors about the critical importance of addressing this issue, emphasizing the imperative for guidelines in mitigating the impact of TIVs on both structural integrity and human well-being.

  • The interaction and mixing of high-temperature melt and water is the important technical issue in the safety assessment of water-cooled reactors to achieve ultimate core coolability. For specific advanced light water reactor (ALWR) designs, deliberate mixing of the core-melt and water is being considered as a mitigative measure, to assure ex-vessel core coolability. The paper provides the background of past experiments as well as key fundamentals that are needed for melt-water interfacial transport phenomena, thus enabling the development of innovative safety technologies for advanced LWRs that will assure ex-vessel core coolability.

  • A fuel cell is a device that directly converts the chemical energy of reatants into low voltage d$.$c electricity. The high temperature fuel cell (MCFC, SOFC)is an excellent electric generator with regard to preservation of the environment and the energy-savings. The purpose of this research is to investigate technical issue and research need for practical use of high temperature fuel cell.

  • Ozone is widely used to sterilize food and tap water because ozone is a strong oxidizer. Efficient ozone generation is the most important issue in the field of ozone application. A variable discharge type of ozonizer that generates diffuse glow discharge in air at atmospheric pressure was used for the efficient ozone generation.

  • Korean naval architecture company today is making researches in expansion of productivity of their own accord. In result, they have accomplished many technical developments like a ground shipbuilding system. For our company's productivity expansion in our yard's limited condition (the facility, P.E area, stock area), we develop isometric pre-erection method that turn into a possibility to maximize our facility use, minimize our dock period.
