A new fiber orientation sensor has been developed and tested on an actual paper machine to demonstrate its capability to function as a real-time monitoring system. First, we demonstrate the ability of the sensor system to detect the change in the fiber orientation angle while the sensor head, and not the paper, was intentionally rotated from $-90^{\circ}\;to\;+70^{\circ}$ with respect to the paper-traveling direction. Next, we demonstrate that this system can successfully detect the change in the magnitude and angle of fiber orientation in running paper when the direction of material flow on the wire was changed on the paper machine. The angle and magnitude of fiber orientation were independently confirmed by SST and MOA measurements. Furthermore, we found that the system was capable of measuring the basis weight and the moisture content of running paper while detecting the angle and magnitude of fiber orientation.

This study determines whether or not firms can achieve high productivity growth through external technology acquisition. It also identifies the key factors affecting adopting firms' productivity growth by employing the Malmquist productivity index (MPI) methodology, which features computational ease, low data dependency, and decomposition of productivity growth into technical efficiency change and technical change. Results showed that the effects of productivity growth arising from technology transfer became stronger over time. Moreover, patent transfer guaranteed firms' productivity growth, but no evidence was found that factors such as age and size could increase productivity. Finally, cultural similarity could be another factor conditioning the effectiveness of technology transfer in the productivity of adopting firms.

The response to climate change of international air transport industry might be initiated by ICAO's CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) which will impact on international airlines' flight operation behavior in the future. Though the airlines' efforts to reduce fuel consumption has been a major issue in economics of aviation industry, the improvement of fuel efficiency in flight operation will have additional impact on their profitability by introducing carbon emission cost. The fuel consumption in flight operation will be somewhat influenced by pilots' technical action for maneuvering aircraft during flight operation. This study will investigate pilots' behavior on decision for tactical aircraft control for mission flight. The data will be collected by the survey through sample pilots asking about their intention and perception on fuel savings during flight operations. The data will be analyzed by AHP process and the study will find out the elements and factors influencing pilots' behavior on technical decision of flight and their weights on fuel saving effects.

기존 모바일 커스터마이제이션 연구는 단일 디바이스의 서비스를 변경하려는 단일 커스터마이제이션 기법으로 수행되어왔다. 그러나, 변경하려는 모바일 서비스가 다중 디바이스에 일괄적으로 적용되기 위해서는 기존의 단일 커스터마이제이션 기법으로는 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 서비스의 흐름제어 데이터를 공유하여 다중 디바이스를 커스터마이제이션하기 위한 기법을 제안 한다. 제안하는 다중 커스터마이제이션 기법은 푸시 서비스와 클라우드 서비스를 기반으로 한다.

Analysis of the elements affecting short circulation in highly integrated paper mills and identification of the interactions among these elements are very important tasks to prevent operational perturbations such as web breaks. In the present work a dynamic model for the short circulation is developed to analyze tuning methods for the outputs to follow set points during grade change operations. Steady state operation data are used to investigate dynamic characteristics of responses for input changes.

With speediness of economy, the structure of land use has taken lots of change. How can we quickly and exactly obtain detailed land use/cover change information, and then we know land resource amount, quality, distributing and change direction. More and more high resolution satellite systems are under development. So we can make good use of RS data, existed GIS data and GPS data to extract change information and update map. In this paper a fully automated approach for detecting land use/cover change using remote sensing data with object-oriented classification based on GIS data, GPS data is presented (referring to Fig.1). At same time, I realize integrating raster with vector methods of updating the basic land use/land cover map based on 3S technology and this is becoming one of the most important developing direction in 3S application fields; land-use and cover change fields over the world. It has been successful applied in two tasks of The Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C and taken some of benefit.

Six sigma is much less of a technical program than it is a leadership and cultural change program. Nevertheless, most of literatures on six sigma have mainly focused on technical and tactical aspects. This paper introduces a self-assessment for six sigma initiative in a major Korean software company. The self-assessment gives a valuable clue to how to manage leadership and cultural aspects of six sigma initiative.

Korea gas industrial because of received LNG in 1987 was converted by the Gas Safety Management System in relation to city gas, LPG and LNG. Gas accident were caused by treatment problem on the supplier and user, on technical and use management mater, on facilities and goods, and included problem with gas safety connection system. This study is present standard application plan of each department to use planning gas technical standard and gas utilization standard of introduction model than statute for change of self-regulation management system and complicated regulation of examination center and order.

Design changes are inevitable areas of work for construction engineers as they occur frequently in the construction site, and are becoming a technical measure of the technical person to the design change. In this study, the purpose is to analyze by comparing the availability of excel and the enscised program during design changes through the case, and to present the efficiency of the the Cost-of-construction Program.
