디지털 인간공학 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 작업자세 분석 (Work Posture Analysis Using Digital Ergonomic Simulation)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the validity of the digital ergonomic simulation (DES) method as a prospective alternative to the ergonomic analyses conducted by experts. The DES method utilizes commercial digital manufacturing software, and can compute the RULA scores continuously throughout the simulated work cycle. It was shown in a case study that the accuracy and objectivity of the DES method are superior to those obtained by experts. Also, it was demonstrated that the DES method has a distinct capability to simulate and validate a proposed work plan. Major limitations of the current DES method lie in the extensive time and efforts required for accurate digital simulation, which may be overcome through an automatic module for RULA data acquisition and a motion capture system.

지식경영 시스템을 활용한 신규간호사 e-Learning 프로그램 개발 및 평가 (The Development and Evaluation of an e-Learning Program for Novice Nurses before Beginning to Work in a Hospital Using KMS(Knowledge Management System))

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate an e-Learning Program designed to enhance novice nurses's performance ability Method: The e-Learning program was designed for novice nurses before beginning to work in a hospital using a KMS(Knowledge Management System). This study was carried out from February 2006 to April 2007. The program had progressive steps including design, pilot test & modification, contents development, program application and evaluation. After the program design and pilot testing, the learner's satisfaction was analyzed. Result: The program site is http://kms.emc.ac.kr titled, 'Cyber Education Center'. The sixteen part course has been developed as follows: blood sugar test, skin test, insulin test 1, insulin test 2, blood culture, blood sampling, heat therapy, cold therapy, glycerin enema, preparation of operation, oxygen therapy, suction technique, transfusion, foley catheterization and aseptic technique. The overall learner's satisfaction score was 4.08 out of 5 points. Conclusion: E-Learning could be useful for education and nursing work. This method may be effective for clinical nurses.

  • To develop and improve as the finest foodservice industry, it has to secure the best team organized by the most satisfied employees. It is very important for foodservice industry to have the organization efficiency and study all kinds of factors to be influenced by several conditions. This study was focused on some matters to achieve the foodservice industry's business goal as well as to satisfy the employees. 1, the writer, set up four hypotheses for the examination. First, there will be not an interrelation between the employee's satisfaction and sex, age, marriage, educational background, and eager level. Second, there will be not an intreation between the employee's satisfaction and work period, position, department and major. This study could get some result from the analysis suggested by the above hypotheses. The following are the further explanation including some outstanding feature from the analysis based on the human resource: first for the category about the level of job satisfaction evaluated by the census, foodservice industry employee's job satisfaction depends upon the atmosphere in which employes could enjoy their work. Even the promotion chance can be made in the environment of creative and active working condition. Finally, the promotion chance can be realize not through the employee's attitude assuming the motivation factor to be difference from hygiene factor, but through keeping their work carried out in various activity.

여자 프로농구선수의 무산소성 파워 분석 (The Analysis of Anaerobic Power in Professional Female Basketball Players)

  • The purpose of this paper was to make an analysis of anaerobic power in professional female basketball players using the Wingate Test Method with bicycle ergometer. Twenty-three subjects(age $21.6\pm2.8years$, body height $178.0\pm7.4cm$, body weight $70.3\pm7.4kg$) were selected from professional female basketball team whose careers were over 10years and participated in this investigation. Each subject peformed a Wingate anaerobic power test to determine total work, peak power, mean power, fatigue index and blood lactate concentration. The following were obtained from result data analysis; 1. The Total Work of athletes was a $1128.7\pm120.6watt$ 2. The Peak Power of athletes was a $449.5\pm53.1watt$ 3. The Mean Power of athletes was a $369.1\pm39.4watt$ 4. The Fatigue Index of athletes was a $33.5\pm6.9\%$ 5. The blood lactate concentration was $1.85\pm0.85mM/L$ at the normal state and $3.16\pm1.53mM/L$ at the after Wingate test. The blood lactate concentration was $6.96\pm0.81mM/L$ after 3 minute and $6.95\pm1.05mM/L$ after 5 minutes.

The Influence of Bullying on Burnout through Workaholism and Perceived Organizational Support

  • Purpose - This study examined workplace bullying as a situational antecedent of workaholism and burnout as a consequence of workaholism and explored the mediating role of workaholism and the moderation effect of perceived organizational support. Research design, data, and methodology - This study collected data from 319 employees in South Korean companies through a survey method. Results - First, job-related bullying promotes a compulsive and excessive drive to work. However, person-related bullying was positively related to the tendency to work excessively hard. Second, only working excessively shows positive relationship with only exhaustion excepting cynicism. Third, although bullied employees may reserve their personal resources through workaholism in short time, it drives them to be workaholic, which leads them exhausted in turn. Finally, perceived organizational support decreases the effect of job-related bulling on both of working compulsively and working excessively. Conclusions - First, this study suggests workplace bullying as a situational antecedent and verify burnout as a consequence of workaholism. Second, it investigate the mediating role of workaholism and the moderation effect of perceived organizational support. Practically, When they find workaholic employees, they should investigate if workplace bullying exists through face-to-face talk. If necessary, they should decide personal transfer to the other department or work team.

Promoting the Quarry Workers' Hazard Identification Through Formal and Informal Safety Training

  • Background: The surface mining industry has one of the highest fatality rates among private industries in the United States. Despite recent decreases in the fatality rates of comparable industries, the fatality rate in the surface mining industry has increased. Meanwhile, a lack of safety research in surface mining has hindered efforts to improve safety strategies in the surface mining workplace. Method: This study examined quarry workers' hazard identification skills by conducting a case study of a surface mining facility in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Semistructured interviews were conducted with eight quarry workers who were employed at the mine facility. In addition to the interviews, data were collected through field notes, notes from an expert meeting with safety managers, and site photographs to explore quarry workers' safety behaviors in the workplace. Results: The results showed that quarry workers identified hazards and improved their safety performance by translating safety knowledge learned from training into practice, acquiring hands-on work experience, learning from coworkers, and sharing responsibilities among team members. Conclusion: This study contributes to understanding quarry workers' safe performance beyond what they have learned in safety training to include their interaction with other workers and hand-on experience in the workplace. This study informs practitioners in the surface mining industry to build a safe work environment as they design effective safety programs for employees.

작업부하 및 발열 모니터링에 의한 엔진블록 호닝스톤 연삭성 평가 (Evaluation of the Grinding Performance of an Engine Block Honing Stone through Monitoring of Workload and Heat Generation)

  • Since gasoline engines are based on a combination of a cast iron liner and an aluminum block, which have different thermal properties and stiffnesses, bore shape distortion is likely to occur during honing due to uneven thermal deformation. To solve this problem, many tests and evaluations are needed to support the development of a high-performance honing stone with low heat generation. Moreover, performance evaluation, which depends on inspection and observation after work, often requires much trial and error to optimize tool design, due to challenges in the accurate interpretation of results. This study confirmed that the assessment of grinding capability was clarified by evaluating performance under severe work conditions and by in-situ measurement and recording of current consumption (workload) and heat generation during operation. As a result of using a honing stone with excellent grinding performance in engine block manufacture-in which cylinder bore distortion caused by thermal deformation during manufacture is a problem-a noticeable improvement in the degree of cylindricity was observed.

전문간호사 간호행위에 관한 간호수가체계 개발 (Development of Nursing Costs by Nursing Activities in Clinical Nurse Specialist)

  • Purpose: This study was carried out to deveop nursing costs and to substantiate the application of appropriate activity-based nursing costs for the current clinical nurse specialists. Method: The study sample was a group of 8 home health care team of the tirtiary Hospital in Korea. The data was collected from September 2003 through December 2004. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS PC 11.0 program and calculated mean and the standard deviation. In Lee(2003)'s nursing activity analysis, nursing activities were classified into two major classification, 19 domains and 70 activities. Each activities was calculated using its work validity, physical effort, psychological effort, stress as a intensity, and the necessary time. The simple work costs was calculated the work wage per minute and the necessary time. The work load intensity was calculated using the work wage per minute and the necessary time work load intensity/100. Results: In this study, the work wage was 283 won per minute. The work validity ranged from 2.71-4.00. The highest simple work cost/work load intensity cost was 12,735won/47,374won for research activity, 10,700won/27,499won for bedsore care, and 9,727won/35,114won for deathbed care. The lowest simple work cost/work load intensity cost was 2,123won/2,038won for intramuscular injection, 2,210won/2,166won for hypodermic injection, and 2,210won/1,547won for a application of medicine(or ointment or cream). Conclusions: It revealed that the nursing cost should be considered validity, physical effort, psychological effort, stress as a intensity, and necessary time. Therefore, It is necessary to calculate nursing cost systematically based on activities.

Air hybrid 엔진의 구동 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Performance Characteristics of Air Hybrid Engine)

  • 엔진의 제동시의 유효일을 이용하여 고압의 압축 공기를 저장하고 운전 시에는 저장된 압축 공기를 동력원으로 사용하는 신개념의 Air hybrid 엔진의 구현 가능성 검토를 위한 실험적인 연구를 진행하였다. Air hybrid 엔진 시스템의 구현을 위하여 연구용 단기통엔진을 개조하였고, 배기 밸브 중의 하나에 독립 가변 밸브리프트 시스템을 장착하여 압축 행정 동안에 고압의 공기를 저장할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 엔진의 구동을 위하여 점화플러그 위치에 공기 분사 모듈을 장착하여 팽창행정 중에 고압의 공기를 분사할 수 있도록 하였다. 압축 공기 저장 모드에서는 800rpm 아이들 조건에서 800 사이클 동안 30리터의 공기 저장 탱크를 최대 13 bar 까지 충전할 수 있었고, 충전된 고압의 공기를 이용하여 800rpm 아이들 조건에서 0.41 bar의 평균도시유효압력의 일을 얻을 수 있었는데 이것은 정상적인 아이들 조건보다 1.1 bar의 유효일이 증가한 것이다.

아세트아닐리드의 초기 환경위해성 평가 (Initial Risk Assessment of Acetanilide with Respect to Ecological Integrity)

  • 아세트아닐리드는 의약품과 염료의 합성과정에서 중간체로서 공기와 폐수를 통하여 환경 중에 방출될 수 있다. 아세트아닐리드는 호기적 조건하에서 신속히 생분해되고 OH 래디컬의 존재하에 간접적으로 광분해된다. 생물농축계수는 4.5로 추정되므로 수생생물에서의 생물농축은 낮을 것으로 예상된다. 아세트아닐리드에 관한 생태독성학적 데이터 조사결과 4종 어류에 대한 급성독성치만 보고되어 있으며, EUSES시스템에 의하면 어류에서의 최저 PNEC 값(예상 무작용농도)은 0.01mg/l이고 표면수에서의 PEC값(예상 환경농도)은 지역수준에서 최악의 경우 9.1$\times$$10^{-5}$mg/l이다. 지역수준에서 표면수에 대한 아세트아닐리드의 RCR(위해성지수)은 9.1$\times$$10^{-3}$으로 추정되어 어류에 대한 안전성은 충분하다. 그러나 국지 수준에서의 RCR은 물과 침적물에서 각각 1.3과 1.6이므로 제조공장 주변에서는 생태독성 위험이 존재할 것으로 추정된다. 아세트아닐리드의 환경위해성 평가를 보다 정확하게 하기 위해서는 물벼룩과 조류에 대한 급성독성 자료가 보완되어야 할 것이며, 따라서 이에 대한 실험이 진행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.
