교육실습이 중등 예비교사들의 순환학습에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Teaching Practices upon Pre-service Secondary Teachers' Perceptions on Learning Cycle)

  • 이 연구에서는 교육실습이 중등 예비교사들의 순환 학습에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향을 순환학습에 대한 이해도에 따라 조사했다. 2개 사범대학의 화학교육과 4학년 학생 37명을 대상으로 교육실습 전에 순환학습에 대한 이해도와 인식 검사를 실시했고, 교육실습 후에는 순환학습에 대한 인식 검사를 실시했다. 또한, 순환학습에 대한 인식이 크게 감소한 예비교사 7명을 선정하여 인식 감소에 영향을 미친 요인을 조사하기 위한 심층면담도 실시했다. 연구 결과, 교육실습 전 중등 예비교사들의 순환학습에 대한 이해도는 높지 않았으나, 순환학습의 장단점이나 실행의지, 실행과 관련된 외부요인 등의 측면에 대해 비교적 긍정적으로 인식했다. 그러나 교육실습을 마친 후에는 이런 긍정적인 인식이 다소 감소했으며, 특히 순환학습에 대한 이해도가 낮았던 예비교사들보다 높았던 예비교사들의 감소폭이 더 컸다. 그 원인으로 면담에 참여한 예비교사들은 예비교사 요인, 학생 요인, 교육과정 요인, 외부환경 요인을 지적했다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논의했다.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 SVM 기술에 근거한 시각 보조기에 주로 의존하는 청각 장애인을 위한 영어 모음 발음에 대한 시각 교습 방법을 제안하는데 있다. 귀로 듣기 어려운 소리로부터 SVM 기술을 사용하여 소리 특징을 추출함으로써, 각 모음의 입술 모양이 추출되었다. 모음에 대한 입술 모양의 세련미는 언어 학습자가 발음기의 움직임을 눈으로 쉽게 볼 수 있다는 점에서 유리하며, 청각 장애인을 위한 영어 모음을 학습하고 가르치는 데 유용할 것이다.

  • 유네스코를 중심으로 국내외적으로 지속가능발전교육(ESD)에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 개발도상국으로의 IT 설비지원 및 SW교육기부 등이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 멀티마우스 Mischief는 간단한 파워포인트 교수학습 저작물을 통해 교사용 컴퓨터로 다수의 아이들이 능동적 수업활동을 할 수 있다. 현재 멀티마우스 포인터는 그림과 글자(이름)로 교수학습활동의 식별기능만을 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로 소프트에서 개발된 멀티마우스의 포인터에 대하여 아이들의 흥미유발과 능동적 참여에 효과적인 포인터 설계전략 알아보기 위하여 포인터 모양(얼굴사진), 크기, 속도의 변인에 대해서 콘텐츠를 개발 적용하여 보았다.

제7차 수학과 교육과정의 공간감각활동을 위한 교구 개발 및 그 효과 (The development of materials for developing childrens' spatial sense in the 7th National Curriculum and the analysis of its effects)

  • The goals of this study is to analyze develop the materials which help students develop spatial sense in elementary school and to investigate its effects. To accomplish those goals, the 7th National Curriculum was analyzed to identify the contents of spatial sense. After analyzing the 7th National Curriculum, the principle for developing the teaching aids focusing the realization of the contents in the spatial sense was set up. And then various teaching materials which can enhance students' spatial sense was developed. It is consist of 17 kinds of concretely operating materials, 7 kinds of tangram papers, one web-material. To verify the effect of the materials, surveyed the usability of the materials and two classes was selected and tests were administered before and after the treatment. Through this application, several conclusion were drawn. First, a survey result says that teachers thought materials developed would be effective in developing spatial sense. Second, the materials developed were effective to develop spatial sense. The score gained by the experiment group after the treatment was statistically meaningfully higher than the control group. This means that the materials developed helped children to develop spatial sense.

Oral manifestations and their correlation to baseline CD4 count of HIV/AIDS patients in Ghana

  • Objectives: Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a disease of the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). People with AIDS are much more vulnerable to infections, including opportunistic infections and tumors, than people with a healthy immune system. The objective of this study was to correlate oral lesions associated with HIV/AIDS and immunosuppression levels by measuring clusters of differentiation 4 (CD4) cell counts among patients living in the middle western regions of Ghana. Materials and Methods: A total of 120 patients who visited the HIV clinic at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Regional Hospital Sunyani of Ghana were consecutively enrolled in this prospective and cross-sectional study. Referred patients' baseline CD4 counts were obtained from medical records and each patient received an initial physician assessment. Intraoral diagnoses were based on the classification and diagnostic criteria of the EEC Clearinghouse, 1993. After the initial assessment, extra- and intraoral tissues from each enrolled patient were examined. Data analyses were carried out using simple proportions, frequencies and chi-square tests of significance. Results: Our study included 120 patients, and was comprised of 42 (35.0%) males and 78 (65.0%) females, ranging in age from 21 to 67 years with sex-specific mean ages of 39.31 years (males) and 39.28 years (females). Patient CD4 count values ranged from 3 to 985 cells/mL with a mean baseline CD4 count of 291.29 cells/mL for males and 325.92 cells/mL for females. The mean baseline CD4 count for the entire sample was 313.80 cells/mL. Of the 120 patients we examined, 99 (82.5%) were observed to have at least one HIV-associated intraoral lesion while 21 (17.5%) had no intraoral lesions. Oral candidiasis, periodontitis, melanotic hyperpigmentation, gingivitis and xerostomia were the most common oral lesions. Conclusion: From a total of nine oral lesions, six lesions that included oral candidiasis, periodontitis, melanotic hyperpigmentation, gingivitis, xerostomia and oral hairy leukoplakia were significantly correlated with declining CD4 counts.

  • As an activity of one working group for the Good Practice program at Kumamoto University, we proposed a questionnaire survey on the degree in which students understand the uppermost points of importance in their classes in addition to the usual type of class questionnaire. Each class lists three uppermost points of importance which are essential for understanding the class content. The degree of understanding is classified into four levels: full, most, insufficient, and not at all understandings. Through the analysis of questionnaire replies, the degree of understanding for bachelor students in the Department of Engineering was discovered to be meaningfully affected by the degree of difficulty, the effectiveness of audiovisual aids, self-study time, and class attendance.

  • There hasn't been a study searching for various methods of instruction and orientation in the use of a college library. By searching through the western literature in this field from 1961, I was amazed by the vast literature and enormous study done on it. I tried to introduce the most important articles in this field which can help mold our methods of library instruction. There has been quite a few cries for the use of new methods, of newer media, for increased number of students. Promising future lies in the area of programmed instruction and audiovisual aids to teaching, which should be developed into course-related library instruction.

  • We observed the symptoms that occur to students who dislike mathematics when they study mathematics and the data that mathematics is related to foreign language. This study investigated the relation between mathematics and foreign language. Continuous immersion aids not only in acquiring language but also in learning mathematics. For continuous immersion, it is essential to organize small class. We organized small class and compared large class with small class about how the relation between mathematics and language appears in achievement, rate of presence, rate of submission of report, and attitude and enthusiasm. Based on the result, we try to find out the way to increase understanding mathematics and level up the achievements.

게임전략을 활용한 문학적 접근활동이 유아의 음운인식능력 및 쓰기능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Literary Approach Activity Using a Game Strategy on Young Children's Phonological Awareness Abilities and Writing Abilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the literary approach using a game strategy on young children's phonological awareness and writing abilities. The subjects were selected from two classes of 'H' and 'M' Kindergarten in G city. The research tools used were the Phonological Awareness Ability Test, which was corrected by Jo, Kim, and Jeong(2006) and used to measure young children's phonological awareness abilities, and Lindberg(1987)'s Kindergarten Writing Assessment which was adapted and used by Noh(1994) in order to assess writing abilities. The literary approach activity using a game strategy used in this study resulted in an improvement in young children's phonological awareness abilities and writing abilities. These results suggest that these activities are valuable tools and can be applied successfully in the childhood education field as teaching aids.

효과적인 영어학습을 위한 멀티미디어 학습 도구의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Multimedia Teaching Aids for the Effective English Learning)

  • There has been a study about the effective multimedia education using a computer following the appearance of a virtual space. Also, there has been an effort to connect the information & communication technology with education. The popular on-line lecture systems are mostly on English lecture sites. However, they just offer the VOD(Video On Demand) services ignoring students' convenience. To improve these week points, we design and implement the multimedia leaching system focusing on an efficient repeat-effect in order that students can control the Media Player by clicking a sentence on a web page. This paper presents the Editor and Player considering students' interest and the effective learning fruits. So users can easily make multimedia materials and use them to improve their English listening skill.
