For efficient teaching method a teacher should understand the current level of learners. Diagnostic evaluation is generally used to grasp a knowledge level of learners. However, it is not easy to take a diagnostic examination in every class because of time limitation. Accordingly, we propose a web based diagnostic evaluation system for efficient teaching method. In the proposed system, it is possible for teachers to feed diagnostic evaluation questions on the web at any time and for learners to take an online diagnostic examination without space and time limitation. In addition, the proposed system automatically grades the diagnostic evaluation and provides a teacher with various statistical data that can be a criterion to decide a proper teaching level.

Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the job-related health problems of school teachers in Seoul area and investigate their disease management behavior. Methods: This study used the on-line survey to investigate frequent health problems and management behavior of teachers. And job-related diseases were identified using date from the National Health Insurance Corporation. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Results: The frequent health problems of teachers were varicose veins, vocal cord disease and thyroid disease. And Job-related health diseases were varicose veins and vocal cord disease. These problems increased with career. 57.4% and 28.4% teachers in varicose veins and vocal cord disease did not do any management behavior to prevent or cure the disease. 56.8% teachers did not know how to prevent the diseases and 16.3% teachers did not practice even though they know the methods of prevention. Conclusion: Teacher's health examination should include varicose veins and vocal cord disease examination. And schools should try to offer various programs for preventing job-related health problems.

본 연구는 우리나라 중등교사 임용시험의 형태가 개편된 2014년도 이후부터 2018년도 현재까지 진행된 중등교사 임용시험 관련 선행연구들을 언어네트워크 분석 방법론을 활용하여, 그 연구동향을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 2014년도 이후 5년간 진행된 중등교사 임용시험 관련 연구 55건을 대상으로 주요 핵심어 추출 및 워드클라우드 제시, 주요 핵심어의 언어네트워크 전체 분석 및 3종 중심성(연결정도, 근접, 매개) 분석, 네트워크 값을 반영한 네트워크 그림 시각화 작업 등을 진행하였다. 중등교사 임용시험 관련 선행연구의 주요 핵심어는 분석, 문항, 출제, 인식, 임용후보자, 교과교육학, 국어과, 선정경쟁시험, 개선, 예비교사, 교과내용학, 기출문항, 임용교사, 제도, 탐색 등이었다. 이들 상위 빈도 핵심어들은 나름 높은 연결정도를 가지고 다른 핵심어들간의 의미연결망을 구축하고 있음을 확인하였다, 이런 연구결과는 중등교사 임용시험 주제 연구 진행을 할 때, 연구주제 선정 및 방향 설정에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study was to design and develop the simulator for practicing pre-service teachers' classroom discipline skills to control and prevent misbehaviors of students. In order to accomplish this purpose, the followings were researched. First, the examination of related literature and previous studies was performed to find out whether teaching simulation can be significant for pre-service teacher' teaching experience. Second, self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-control were selected as key variables of students' misbehaviors from the examination of literature and previous studies. Third, students' misbehaviors were designed and their information in the student records was developed based on the variables. Forth, teacher's treats were developed and classified with verbal and nonverbal treats. Lastly, simulated students' misbehaviors were designed to be aggravated or prevented according to the teachers' treats. Further research for a teaching simulation was projected based on the pre-service teachers' evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to analyze classroom discourse in the math classroom of middle school in China, which has a unique math classroom background of entrance examination for high school. To this end, this study analyzed teacher question statistics and episodes by teacher question type as starting speech in mathematics classroom discourse, and five IRF subtypes were especially identified by class discourse structure analysis. The data were analyzed focusing on a total of 15 transcripts of math classes recorded by three math teachers at H School in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China, and written interviews of teachers. According to the results of this study, an average of 20 teacher questions were observed for each class, and the teacher question type was classified into confirmation question (understanding confirmation question, explanation request question, and double check question) and information question (information presentation question). In addition, according to classroom discourse analysis, the IRF discourse structure was divided into fragmentary evaluation, evaluation+reason, evidence of explanation, evaluation+student response re-statement, guidance on other thoughts or solutions, and student answer correction or teacher opinion presentation.

The administrative service in Chosun Dynasty relating to mathematics was carried out by the middle class(中人) mathematicians selected by the official selection examination(取才). They belong to HoJo(戶曹) department and their ranks are GyeSa(計士), ByulJe(別提), HunDo(訓導 = mathematics teacher), and GyoSu(敎授 = mathematics professor). We call them SanWon(算員). HunDo and GyoSu played very important role although their ranks are low, for they educate SanWon and manage the official selection examination. Using JuHakSeonSaengAn(籌學先生案, List of mathematics teachers) and JuHakIpGyukAn(籌學入格案, List of successful candidates in the official selection examination for mathematics), we investigate HunDo and GyoSu in Chosun Dynasty.

The purpose of this study was to investigate some implications for optics education and improvement of the Examination for Appointing Secondary School Physics Teachers (EASSPT), by analyzing the problems in EASSPT. For these purpose, we analyzed 38 optics problems of the EASSPT from the 16 school years of 2002 to 2017. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, optics problems were presented in 10.8% of the physics subject area, which was least frequently. Second, many problems have addressed specific areas such as Snell's law, image of a single lens, or interference. Few problems were found in many other evaluation areas, including optical instruments and aberrations. Third, compared to other areas, optics problems were presented as relatively easy questions, and the problems were presented in more laboratory contexts than daily-life contexts. In addition, we have discussed implications for EASSPT and in-service physics-teacher training.

With the change of society and the rapid development of science and technology, the direction of future education and the functions of schools have changed. Also the roles and tasks of teachers are changing rapidly. As Germany entered into the 21st century, many discussions let to a consensus on the direction of future education and schooling withholding a sense of responsibility and solidarity for the education of all members of the society. As a result, standards for the training of general teachers and teachers for special education were presented. The purpose of this study is to compare the standard contents of teacher training for special education in Germany with the qualification criteria for special school, teachers in Korea, focusing on evaluation and giving as well detailed information on the examination of teachers for special school, as on basic subjects for the qualification of special school teachers for special education in Korea will be explored. As a result, the content of this study can be summarized by four items. The first one is dealing with the creation of a consciousness of solidarity and a sense of responsibility among the members of the society for the future education and the role of schools and teachers. The second item ist about including the capacity and competence of teachers in the restructuring of the school and in the minimum standards of teacher training for special education. Third, the specificity of each state (provincial and local) is considered in the content of standards for teacher training. Fourth, standards for teacher training are linked to each other, previous teacher education, trainee teacher education, and current teacher education.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the duties and competencies of the teacher librarian required by schools as consumers to operate the curriculum, and to suggest ways to improve their professionality. To this end, the duties and competencies included in 20 job advertisements posted by IB schools to select teacher librarians were analyzed based on the IFLA School Library Guidelines. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the duties and competencies of IB schools are based on the IB curriculum guidelines and this guideline is based on the educational philosophy and learner image that IBO curriculum aims. And the job that schools want the most from the teacher librarian is teaching through library collection management and collaboration, and the main competencies for this are communication and collaboration skills, teaching-learning·curriculum·education design and operation, and digital & media literacy. The results of this analysis show that the professionalism should be based on the vision for the educated person and learner capabilities presented in the curriculum. Based on this results, in this study the ways for developing teacher librarians' professionalism were presented in the following aspects. First, including the educational responsibilities of the school library in the Arrangement and Implementation Guideline of National Level Curriculum. Second, Classifying human resources' duties through revision of the Enforcement Decree of the School Library Promotion Act. Third, reorganizing of basic courses to acquire teacher librarian qualifications and introducing a demonstration of collaborative teaching in the eduactional practice and the certification examination.

In the Netherlands, Streefland(Elbers, 2003) gave a solution on how teachers can help students to participate in the process of knowledge construction by investigating constructions and activities of a community of inquiry for a primary school students(between 11 and 13 years of age). In Australia, Goos(2004) analyzed the teacher's role in creating a classroom culture of inquiry, which appeared to be taken for granted by the Grade 12 group, for the Grade 11 students by classroom observation and interviews. In Korea, because of diverse obstacles with a university entrance examination, a study about teacher's role in inquiry-oriented instruction for high school mathematics schooling has rarely appeared in the literature. The purpose of this study is to investigate teacher's role for promoting and managing inquiry-oriented mathematics instruction effectively by a case study. To fulfill this purpose, we develop inquiry-oriented instruction model by investigating teacher's role as an assistant for helping students to do mathematical activity.
